I ordered the BBQ ribs with loaded potato and a side of Mac and cheese. The rods were so tender and yummy! And I usually don’t care for baked potato but it paired so well with the meat. Mac and cheese was also really flavorful. Great music 10/10 and the workers were very attentive, nice and funny!

Very clean restaurant. The waiter was nice and friendly. The food was fresh and tasty. My mom did ask for a well done burger and gave her a burger medium well. They remade it willingly. Definitely will be back to try new things on the menu. Drinks were also chefs kiss!!! 💋

Well, where do i start?! Made reservations. Got here early and seated early. Only waited about 5-10 mins. Came with my friends and had a great experience. Truly! Mark (Buf) was amazing. Very attentive. Very kind. Very funny. And he’s easy on the eyes. 🙈 Come eat here yall. It was my first time. Suggestions on looking at the menu and knowing what you want first makes things so much easier. Orders were in 1 min after being seated and food came 15 mins after that! Wonderful experience!

Went to The Simpson on Atlantic Ave and loved it. The food was incredibly delicious, every bite hit. The drinks are strong too; they definitely don’t hesitate with the pours. It was very busy when I went, so the food took a little while to come out, but it was 100% worth the wait. I can’t wait to go back and try the seafood next time.

The food was great! I had the brown stew snapper with rice and peas and for my appetizer I had the bami with ackee and salt fish, with the Bob Marley cocktail(virgin). The appetizer was not salty at all it was so good. I spread that ackee on my bami like it was butter Everything was great. I was filled so easily I literally couldn’t finish! The atmosphere was stunning, the music was great. Kevoy, my waiter was the absolute best, his smile and energy really was amazing. He was so sweet checking on us frequently seeing how we were doing. Customer service was too tier. I had a great time overall! If you want a date night, birthday dinner or good vibes music and food?? the Simpsons is where it’s at for sure! Will be visiting again.

I love the Simpson! The food always hits. This is where I had my first lamb chops and it’s always great! (Sometimes smaller than others but always flavorful). The wings were amazing and it was first time having them. I am not a steak person but my sister said it was really good. Some of the best oxtails ever& always melt in your mouth. The veggies are yum! I love the plain veggie Rasta pasta because it’s not dry and pack with flavor! I honestly didn’t taste the sweets as it was to go for my family but it looked good. I will always recommend this place to any and everyone! It’s black owned. #Birthday, #Anniversary #Lunch Whatever the occasion- make sure you’re doing it here!! We visited The Simpson for my aunt's birthday. Although it was a rainy day, the atmosphere inside was the opposite. We were met with kindness and exceptional service from Junior B. and Francisco. The food was incredible. The highlight was the pepper shrimp: to die for. Just the perfect amount of spice and flavor that's left out at most other Jamaican restaurants. Authentically inspired Jamaican flavors. Definitely will return!!

This place is amazing. Always pass by but today i decided to treat my fiance to lunch. The service is excellent 👌 place is clean and smells great. Even the bathroom was clean and smelled good. The curry goat white rice was excellent the jerk oxtails were soft and tender mac and cheese was amazing great cheese pull. I will definitely tell all my friends. I would travel from roselle new jersey, and the waiter named ADRIAN WAS AMAZING!!! VERY ATTENTIVE, HIS SUGGESTIONS WERE ON POINT . THANKS ADRIAN,YOU MADE OUR FIRST EXPERIENCE AWESOME. The restaurant was a bit crowded when I arrived, but the wait wasn’t long at all, maybe like 20 minutes if that. Honestly, the food made up for the short delay! Though. The manager, Mimi, was amazing and quickly handled a small hiccup I had regarding a food allergy, which I really appreciated. SHOUTOUT TO YOU MIMI GIRL! 🙌🏾 Everything I tried was phenomenal and seasoned well, there was nothing bland to the point where the white rice was seasoned too lmaaaooo. The mac and cheese, the Biggie Platter, and the caramel cheesecake were all a solid 10/10. The music was on point too, the vibes felt like a party among friends. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. Oh and the drinks were valid and strong!!!!!! 😅

But baby the star of the show was the food it touched my soul. Very flavorful and cooked with love. Well, I finally made my way over to The Simpson and phew 😮‍💨 It was well worth the wait! We started with the Jerk Wings and Pepper shrimp, both bring the heat 🔥 so be ready! Our dinner consisted of the fried rice w/ jerk pork, stew red snapper and oxtail mac we truly enjoyed our dinner tn. The portions are huge, we have dinner for the next two days! Rum punch…well it was punching! Absolutely delicious from the start! We sat at the bar to avoid a longer wait time and I’m glad we did. The service at the bar was impeccable. Can’t wait to be back. Thank you for a great meal. 10/10 highly recommended

Most importantly, the food is very good hence why you go to a restaurant however, this place is lacking when it comes to thinking of people in the general public. In particularly people who are wheelchair bound. Unfortunately, they often get overlooked and are underserved. I had two people in my party who were wheelchair bound we made a reservation for 6 o’clock on a Saturday night. When we got there we were told the party at the table was still eating and we needed to wait. We literally waited almost 2 hours to get a table mind you we had a reservation, that is not OK. So if you are wheelchair bound, I would not recommend this place. At least not on a very busy weekend/evening. Our server was OK now again it was a very busy night but she often kept forgetting things that we were asking for like extra napkins, condiments, etc. We had to ask several times for additional drinks. Overall good food good drinks, good atmosphere if you don’t have any special accommodations.

Amazing place, food is very good. Macaroni and cheese wasn’t as great as I expected but it was good. The oxtails were fantastic, but I don’t think the macaroni next to the oxtail makes for a very good matchup. The 10 pound lobster was good, didn’t seem like 10 pounds of lobster to me though. That coconut curry sauce was excellent. Salmon dish was excellent, nice proportion size of salmon. If you get the kids chicken meal, be surprised that you’re gonna get a lot of chicken strips good amount of fries. Very disappointed, we didn’t get to have the tiramisu and the lava cake. They ran out, ;( whatever happened. Server was good, good energy. Took way too much time clear dishes from our table. Had to remind him a few times. Low selection of sparkling wine, mixed drinks were good. Good music along with the atmosphere. Take your family and friends here for nice evening.

Overall a good experience the servers were good and attentive , the wait time on the food was pretty good not very long , the jerk chicken taco was pretty okay wouldn’t try again it’s just very spicy not that much flavor. For entrees we got the brown stew fish which was really was good ,good flavors and decent size , wasn’t a fan of the steamed veg but otherwise good meal we also had curried shrimp it was decent needed a little more curry flavor. But overall good quality shrimp and good flavor. We got a biggie platter to go so we could try more of the food so hears my take on it. The jerk chicken overall is not good it is just spicy no other flavor to it, the oxtail has decent flavor it’s okay it is very tender that is good , the curried goat was okay needs more flavor so probably wouldn’t get any of that again the rice has good flavor overall pretty good experience would go back for the fish at least. Last but not least we got the lava cake, was not what was expected seems to be reheated if anything it was okay also the drinks were pretty good we had the rum punch as recommended by our server.
