I work in Tribeca where all the bars are a sh*tshow after work. Yeah, you have to take the L out here or walk from the JZ (only marginally less hipster) but as an after work place, it's chill and cheap (drafts are $4 til 9)

I was visiting alone from out of town and looking to kill some time and this place was great. The bartenders and local crowd were nice and welcoming, good vibes and good drink selection too.

Had a surprise birthday get together for family here over the weekend and all my guests were beyond impressed with how well the staff treated us. Everyone was polite and super helpful. We had food from the grill and a couple of cocktails, everything was great! The atmosphere is very chill and inviting. Pet and kid friendly..... definitely recommend and I will be going back again soon!

A hidden gem. Great flavorful dishes with good portions for not a lot of money. Enjoyed a great brunch for under $40 and that was everything two people would normally order, drinks etc. The staff was friendly and there is a full bar. There are three different seating areas. One public, one with a lot more privacy and the backyard outside seating. The best thing was NO WAIT!

Back garden is great for hanging out on a warm night. It says no smoking but many people still do. Large picnic tables can accommodate a big group.

Cash only watering hole that has plenty of space and seating. Great music, too! They have multiple beer options for under $6 and their cocktails are strong and reasonably priced. Highly recommend to bring some playing cards and hang out for a while.

Hosted a birthday party here and the tradesman was amazing, the bartenders were great, very attentive and made awesome drinks. They even let me play my own music. Everyone had the best evening, couldn’t recommend more!!

A fabulous little woodsy bar with super nice staff, a spacious backyard, affordable brunches and actual happy hours. Constantly studded with positive vibes and good crowds, small and large. This is a straight-up no-frills haven that even delivers on the music. Just like falafel: I could never say no to this!

I've lived above this restaurant/bar for 3 years and couldn't love it more. Has a cozy neighborhood feel, large backyard, happy hour specials and brunch on the weekends! Also very unique decor and friendly staff!

I only have good things to say, so listen up! The outdoor space is large, which makes it super easy to socially distance! A HUGE plus for me. The cocktails were all phenomenal -- the endless summer and paper plane were favorites (soft spot in my heart for Montenegro, I'm very impressed they're making great cocktails with my favorite aperitivo)! My bartender was so nice, bringing the fire cocktails and amazing service with a smile that I could see through her mask (smize! Im super relived they're great about masks here!) 11/10. Will be back for Devi's cocktails, and often.

This is one of my new found favorite places. Amazing atmosphere, outstanding food and great staff. You can have a nice relaxed brunch in the back patio area which is one of my favorite places to spend an extended time on a Sunday afternoon.

Fav go to spot for a gin martini or low key hang, the staff and owner are all friendly and mix a mean cocktail. Great ambience, killer conversations always. Hosts weekly events like trivia, karaoke, and live music, a beautiful backyard. Food specials vary. Nugget loves the backyard.

Recently had my birthday party at the Tradesman and it was awesome! The space fit perfectly my party, the drinks were good and well priced. The staff were super hospitable and professional and really ensured we had a great time. The space is surprisingly big especially with the back space. Could not recommend them enough!

I have attended many karaoke nights at bars for years now. Lately I have not been able to find the vibe I'm looking for to feel comfortable. This place was the best in recent memory. The songs people picked were great. The people all seemed warm and friendly. I'm definitely going back there for that. In general the staff are chill and courteous. They had some cheap beer choices which is a plus when drinking on a budget. 😆. All in all it is a great bar to drink at.

A friend of a friend is a serious beer aficionado, and I was instructed to meet them here at the Tradesman. It stopped raining about 4 or 5 minutes before I arrived, and that was awesome because you have to sit outside. We were the only people in there for about 5 minutes. My guess is that people were waiting on the rain to stop before arriving. I was advised to try a ale called Half Acre. I liked it, and it went with with my veggie meal. Intimate bar space indoors with tables and a spacious backyard. Staff was friendly and attentive. Extensive bar menu, and a small but delicious food menu. Cash Only. Dive bar vibes with a rustic flare, complete with what I think was an adorable and mischievous blue healer doggo named Blue.

Was alerted to the existence of this bar by another yelper and decided to check it out while waiting for a spot at Champs Diner across the street. I feel like this is a sort of well established tradition for Champs patrons since there always seems to be a wait! One of the best things about this bar is that they have happy hour till 9pm! That by itself is super generous but they one up themselves by offering $4 beers, $5 well drinks and $6 cocktails so basically everything is half price. The have a great beer list but decided to go with the cocktails and have to say I was very impressed. Their version to the manhattan was fantastic and I felt like for $6 I was basically robbing them. Was so good I had 2 even though was planning to have just 1 drink. I wanted to give them a 5 star review but the place is cash only which I absolutely detest, especially at a bar. Makes everything so much more complicated than it needs to be. Place was packed at 8:30pm on a Wednesday night and I can definitely see why. They have a patio out back too for when the weather is nice.

It's a cozy place and the staff is really nice! The food was totally delicious, and the prices are good. The food took a lot of time to be prepared ( almost an hour for 3 dishes) so you need to be patient, but the wait is worth it!

Nice backyard, didn't like the beer selection. Only 1 bathroom which became an issue at times.

Walked in this place on Saturday with two friends who are hispanic, we all asked for a vodka lemonade, we paid for our drinks & before we even got to take a sip the male bartender who was working that night stop us & yelled “you know I only work off tips right” not knowing if we were going to continue drinking & leave a tip at the end. Sorry that YOU CHOSE to only work off tips... It’s extremely unprofessional, we left & didn’t even finish our drinks. We seen another white male do the exact same thing & he didn’t say anything to him. It’s really unfortunate because I’ve came to this bar before & had a great experience, with another bartender. Won’t be coming back.

It felt generic and underwhelming. I wouldn't have entered if I knew they only accepted cash − this seems to be a reliable metric for "bars that care" vs "bars that don't". There was no food, despite all the pictures. Apparently those are from Saturday mornings. Idk, the place had stools; a bathroom; and some beer on tap, so at least some stars.

We had to wait like 40’ for our brunch. We had to ask 3 times for a coffee because they kept forgetting...Also the waitress got my order wrong. Food once it arrived was ok, nothing great.

Food is horrible. The drinks are decent. More of a college 20 something's hangout on the weekend. IDs are required. Limited space to sit. I believe only 2-3 booths for eating. The rest is dancing/socializing space and bar area. An upstairs and downstairs bar.

THIS BAR DOES NOT ANSWER PATRON PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS. MY CARD WAS MISPLACED AND THEY WERE NO HELP IN LETTING ME KNOW IF THEY WERE IN POSSESSION. I CALLED THREE TIMES AND LEFT VOICEMAILS AS WELL AS SENT A DETAILED MESSAGE THAT WAS READ AND LEFT UNANSWERED. EVEN WHEN I RETRIEVED MY CARD THE BARTENDER HAD NO NICETIES OR APOLOGIES FOR ME. WHILE I’M GRATEFUL MY CARD WAS UNHARMED. THEY DID NOT GIVE ME A PEACE OF MIND BY HELPING A PATRON BEGGING FOR ASSISTANCE. THE FOOD IS MID AND THE MOCKTAILS ARE OVERPRICED.

We were having a pleasant experience until the bill came. We paid but we did not include the tip on the card. We always give tips in cash because it is better for people. But the bartman started yelling at me, calling me poor, driving me out of the place in front of his friends. He was most unpleasant and rude. Honestly, I was left with the money in my hand and out of anger because he kept yelling at me. I don't know if he's the owner to do this, but it's not okay to yell at people.
