Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food! Lots of outdoor and indoor seating.
Delicious espresso. Very smooth. Nice finish. No bitterness. Really good americano
Food was prepared excellent 👌 Salmon and egg omelet was yummy....Apple turnover was delicious.
Come to relax and enjoy Tin Cup got it going On!
Very nice cafe, perfect place for breakfast or brunch, great coffee.
Cute and cozy café with a decent menu, good hot drinks, and homemade whipped cream!
Very friendly, comfortable, feels like home vibe, quiet, good food nice place.
Good food, a bit pricy but that’s Brooklyn. fresh ingredients. Got the avocado toast with poached eggs and lox ,18$. Marcielo was good and attentive
I've gotten more friendly conversation out of the staff at Tin Cup than at any other business in Brooklyn. Their lattes are just as warm and welcoming.
Excellent! I've been here multiple times for their flat white and cortado
These guys have great food and drinks and MACADAMIA NUT MILK (who has that??) I love them and you just need to allow for some extra time because you’ll want to chat and let them take their time making your food right.
Fantastic service. Lovely people. Great coffee and menu. Good vegan and gluten free options!
We were staying in Brooklyn for the week and we went every day! Staff made us feel like locals. Excellent Chai Latte :)
Delicious food and desserts coffee. Very friendly staff and nice space to relax and enjoy coffee or lunch break!
Great minimalist food menu, excellent latte's and chilled-out friendly service . Saved us from dunkin donuts and other generic options on a rainy day
Absolutely amazing I loved it so much French toast with bananas and sweet cream on top DELICIOUS 10 out of 10
Great little coffee spot. Paninis, pastries and great coffee, espresso selections. Great service, very personable, puts Starbucks to shame.
Their vegan sandwich is the best veggie sandwich I’ve ever had. Really well made, not too expensive, and a great atmosphere
Amazing food and drinks I always go there. Everyone is super polite and it's a very welcoming environment
Love this cafe! Friendly service and delicious food in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
Very quiet, and peaceful. Breakfast is very fresh and tasty! Very clean place and friendly staff
Really good Latin-themed coffee house with great jazz. People talking. Community
I love Tin Cup! Excellent coffee, yummy food, and part of the fabric of our neighborhood
Walked in years ago within a week or so of their opening and it instantly became my favorite cafe in NY. Now I go every time I’m in Brooklyn
My favourite local coffee shop, the coffee is DELICIOUS! Super smooth and balanced
Driving across country, no other food options but this place but was a blessing in disguise !!! BLT and CHX sandwhich seriously so good , owners were so very nice and welcoming. Glad we skipped MCDS
Excellent food and atmosphere. Our family has the avocado toast, arugula salad, an omelette, and pancakes. Everything was perfect and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back!
So so cute and calming. I can’t wait to come back! Lovely soothing music always playing, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food and coffee are delicious. My favorite spot in my neighborhood :)
Great service, wonderful coffee, and delicious food. Within their tasty assortment of paninis and sandwiches is my personal favorite, the smoked duck sandwich. Tin Cup has a friendly neighborhood atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. It is my go to destination to get some work done or spend a couple hours to wind down.
This was my go-to spot for the three years I lived around the corner, and it's easily one of my top-three favorite coffee shops in a city full of great coffee shops. Henny and Greg, the owners, welcome everyone like family: if there were a sitcom about the neighborhood, the Tin Cup is where everyone would meet up. Plus of course their coffee and food are delicious, one of the city's hidden gems when it comes to breakfast. I don't live in NYC any more, but when I visit this is one of my absolute must-go-to places.
We got lucky when we stumbled upon this place after visiting the Greenwood Cemetery. The TIn Cup was perfect. The breakfast and coffee was outstanding. The service was a bit slow but worth the wait. We will definitely make the trip from northern Queens to eat at the Tin Cup again.
I love this place. Cozy environment, friendly and personable staff, great menu options for smoothies and breakfast/brunch items. I've both ordered take-out and dined in here, and the food was consistently quality.
The definition of a fun, relaxed, good, local business. Delicious coffee, teas, smoothies, and food. You owe it to yourself to try Tin Cup Cafe. My partner and I are always happy to come here for the start of our morning. ❤
This cafe is a welcome surprise in this area where Dunkin Donuts reigns king over breakfast (yack). The cafe is very small but the food is yummy and the staff is great. Always cheerful and consistently make delicious food.
I was looking for a Peaceful, Small, Café with Wifi to do some work today! My local, usual place in Bay Ridge was packed on this Beautiful Monday in August! I have a severe allergy to cow milk, so I always order Soy or Almond milk with my coffee. This place offered an addition of a pump of Organic Syrup which I gladly added! French Vanilla Organic Syrup to be exact! One of the Best Soy, French Vanilla Latte's in my book! "Tin Cup Café" holds a Real Café Feel! Also very welcoming, provided a peaceful, small town feel inside for getting some much needed work done, with their Complimentary Wi-Fi! Loved My experience- Thank You so much! -Stephanie Mackoul Culinary Lover
Great little cafe that's close enough to greenwood cemetery so that your able to grab a delicious grilled tofu vegan sandwich along with a tasty tea.
Coffee is amazing, but would not recommend for breakfast specially for no meat eater.
They have good coffee, can’t say much about the food. Overall still good.
Excellent cappuccino and bakery items. They were very friendly. The atmosphere was bright and clean.
Very cute neighborly vibe inside, mushroom scramble was better than I expected for a small cafe!
I ordered a cortado and an almond croissant and really enjoyed them both! The almond croissant was so fresh and delicious, not overly sweet, and with a generous amount of crunchy sliced almonds on top. The cortado was equally satisfying and the pottery it was served in gave me good vibes. I appreciated the ambiance, chill yet productive, with ample space indoors and out for working on laptops, meeting with friends or, as in my case, sitting alone and enjoying a quiet start to the day.
One of the best chais I’ve had in a while. Good place to catch up with a friend or work on your laptop. Staff was friendly and effiecent. The one off-putting aspect of my visit was that 30 or so minutes prior to closing, they open the door to the 35°F weather and it made it uncomfortable to be sitting inside—maybe it helped the mopped floors dry faster, but it felt like they wanted to clear customers out ahead of closing time.
Love the staff here, and the coffee and food is consistently on point. It’s a chill spot to get work done, or to meet up with friends and catch up. I have not personally had a drink here yet, but I think it’s a great addition to the menu.
Best spot I’ve accidentally found near me. So lovely.
Very nice staff! Ample seating and a bathroom
This review is food only, I did not get the chance to enjoy coffee but I saw multiple intriguing cups delivered which had me kicking myself a bit. Great food, and flavor, Petit portions. I had the Farmers Breakfast and it was tasty,. But when it’s titled as such, I’m thinking bountiful, or abundance. But from the extra small eggs, to the mini toast square, 1 sausage link, it was more like a cute plate but not enough for its name. Thankfully, as a first timer, and being new to the neighborhood, I backed my order up with some Ricotta Pancakes. They were very fluffy and delicious w/a side of syrup that was just right! Cute place, Clean, Friendly staff, self seating, and clean up/bus your own plates after your meal. With cost ($28 w/tax cash) and portion factored in, I give them a 4+. I like to give the benefit of a doubt to a place that has it together so I marked 5. I would go back to this place to try new things. 👍
This is a hidden gem!! The food is prepared with care and tastes amazing. The staff are so kind and will bring the food to you! I enjoyed it and will be coming back
cute and delicious coffee shop in south slope / sunset park area! highly recommend. great staff!
I had the Salmon scramble + americano and my friend had the loaded bagel + latte. The food was good, 10/10. Nothing out of the ordinary but still very good. Might come back 😊 Also, you can work there, or not. They have laptop-free tables.
Was in the area and looking for a quick place to eat. Stumbled across this place and was pleasantly surprised. Went on a Sunday, was filled with people working on their laptops but we sat outside and was a cute little closed off eating area. Food was great, coffee good, a little pricy but expected for Park Slope. Overall, would recommend for a healthy meal and cute and quiet environment🌸
Ok so, so far we’ve only had coffee and snacks and beverages here but boy am I glad this place exists. So is everyone else this morning apparently but that’s ok - maybe it’s the music or the breeze but somehow they’re able to keep relaxed vibe going while the staff is being run ragged. The books and plants and “no laptop” sign are a nice touch.
As I sit hear right now, drinking my hot caramel latte with a bagel, I can’t help but feel guided to write a review! Even something so simple as a latte and bagel is so delicious here. Everyone is so nice and warm, and the environment is welcoming. This place really adds light to this neighborhood! Thank you for adding deliciousness to my day 😊 I definitely recommend
Food is good and always fresh. A little too pricey for a simple sandwich.
Cute neighborhood restaurant that serves great coffee and solid light breakfast and lunch items such as breakfast and other kinds of sandwiches, bagels, pastries, omelets, and salads.
Nice cappuccino of the right size. Small cute space but can get hot and humid. Baristas are friendly and professional! 👍✌
Great coffee, pastry and fresh sandwiches or breakfasts. Great owners. My go to local coffee place
great coffee, nice vibe and friendly staff. Only bone I can pick with them is that on a (very seldom) occasion they were supposed to be open but were closed. other than that this is an amazing local cafe very much needed!
Great coffee, food and service with a smile... Nice to have a local coffee spot to relax in! Tables and chairs inside, cozy and great music playing in the background. A bench outside for great days though not much to look at outside unless people watching is you cup of... well... you get it... Tasty treats and sandwiches are offered, cash and cards excepted.
I live on the same block, so I go there often. I like their food but I think they are pretty overpriced. The seats aren’t comfortable for too long if you are trying to work from there. I think their pancake is the best item on the menu.
Expensive but the food I had was delicious. 3 egg Omlette [mushroom and red pepper]with a nice mixed green salad and raspberry vinaigrette. Mmhmm good. The Dirty Chai Latte didnt even need anything added to it -it was perfect.
Very nice cozy coffee shop. Very narrow & small. Lot of thoughtful details in the design. Restroom is very small & very uncomfortable toilet.
Come here for coffee, the food takes a laughably long time here and the prices are steep. Coffee is great but definitely look into eating near industry city if you want something worthwhile.
Nice, low key atmosphere with cool live plants that I gave a lil turn and spin to even the lighting for them lol. Even though I did wait a lil longer then I would like, and they forgot the poached egg that I ordered it with, it was still a tasty breakfast. I'd still go back regardless. Even for the chaga cappuccino alone Give them a chance it's Brooklyn so lots of things are worth the extra wait.
This is literally the slowest experience I've ever had at a coffee shop in New York. I was also called up twice to "pick up my order" by one employee, only to be told by the other "no this isn't yours." Wait time is now at over 10 minutes for 2 lattes.
All the makings for a great neighborhood cafe- but unfortunately everything is overpriced and the food takes far too long to get. 15min breakfast sandwiches for $24 bucks and you can get the same sandwiches in 5mins for half as much at Baked in Brooklyn. Meh I hope they get it together. We have tried and been burned by them several years in a row now.
Went here for coffee and a bagel breakfast sandwich. The coffee was great and it's hard to mess up a breakfast sandwich but the wait was way too long. There was no line and yet it took a long time for our food to be ready.
Sometimes you go to places because of their ratings and you just kick yourself that you did. It’s a perfectly normal, family run type place that serves up very bland and standard second wave coffee. They promote themselves as something more specialist and kit the place out to reflect that and my expectations were high. The delivery was disappointing. The beans were bitter and had a lack of flavour, the milk work was lazy and far too much milk was used.
It was ok. Ordered an ice coffee with hazelnut and it was made too sweet. That’s my fault, I asked for more milk and they just shoved the milk in my face . Very unwelcoming.
Ordered a LG tea and LG hot chocolate and the hot chocolate came in a medium cup. Hot chocolate had NO chocolate favor at all! Tasted like steamed milk. Plus you pay a good price on your beverage but still you are the one that needs to make it to your liking. What’s the purpose? Might as well just let the customers pour their own at that point. First and last time purchasing from this place. Not impressed one bit.
Came here because of the pictures but it was an Expectations VS Reality situation. The mushroom crepe was too thick and doughy and had very little filling. Barely any mushroom, spinach, or cheese. All I could taste was the dough and it looked absolutely nothing like the photo online. Honestly might be the worst crepe I’ve ever had in my life. Cortados were fine, nothing to rave about. Same for the red lentil soup. They keep laptop zones separate, so bigger tables stay free, which is nice.
It's cozy but as a mom myself I'm of older generation so I see it as kind of bougie. The place is comfortable but the coffee is not something I would drink I'm not even a fan of Starbucks. If you're a fan of Starbucks I can see you eating it at this place. If you are not do not waste your time.
We stopped by here while waiting for our car to be checked at a nearby body shop, and sadly, it wasn’t a great experience. As soon as we walked in, the guy at the counter, Tiago, gave us a long, unwelcoming stare that really set a negative tone. My husband noticed it too, and it just left a bad feeling overall. We ordered coffee and breakfast, left a tip, but honestly, the service was nonexistent. Really disappointing, and definitely not what we expected. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on our visit. The owner should really work on training the staff to provide better service. Average food, acidic coffee, WiFi/bathroom available
Way to slow for making bagel or sandwich. Quality is OK. They should consider faster persons for working there. Cannot wait 10 min for a bagel.
Staff is nice to the regulars, but on more than one occasion have they been rude and abrupt to us. Don't feel comfortable walking in there. Feel like we aren't welcomed there!! We won't go back-actually avoid it. Rather go down the street to bread and joe. So nice there and the coffee is better.
Great coffee, but the service is terrible. Took them a while to acknowledge anyone in line. I waited 10 minutes before checking in on my order and they forgot about it. I had to remind them what I ordered and even then they still got it wrong.
I live in the area and come occasionally for a quick coffee or something to eat. Food tastes good but service is a mess and they almost always mess up my order.
I went in there for just a plain oatmeal.Regular sugar milk cinnamon and I literally just got plain nothing added
I do business in the neighborhood and unfortunately for myself I have been taking water pills. I decided that this place was a nice place to use the bathroom really quickly and go about my business. I asked and was asked to buy something first. This was a real emergency and the worker had really no compassion and was very rude about it. It's something that can have been avoided and I really didn't have a good experience here. A very unfortunate situation.
Update: sept 2025 Got nondairy instead of oat or it was spoiled. either way it was sour. Stopped by for a large iced matcha, was told they don't even have a large option. Ok. Fine. First strike. 2nd strike is when I asked for unsweetened and the white girl with the black bandana gave me sweetened. Now I wish I was diabetic, so I can sue. Pure negligence. And then she had the audacity to ask me to complete my transaction where it asked me for tip. Yeah $0. Thanks but no thanks.
