My wife & I stopped by for lunch & as always , never disappointed. All around great experience.

The wait wasn't long. I love their store. The food was good as always. They added beignets to the menu. Super good!! The service was great. Everyone was friendly.

My sisters and I went on our weekly “adventure” and ended up at Cracker Barrel again. We love this place. The server we had this time wasn’t so good. She got our drink orders, brought them, and got order food orders, brought our food out and we didn’t see her again. I had to ask another server to get her. By the time she came we were just about done eating. She informed us that the dessert we wanted was out for the week. Then brought us our ticket. I had to tell her that we needed separate tickets. The sad part was she didn’t ask if we needed anything else; like to go boxes. So I again asked another server for a to go boxes and for the manager. The manager was very very friendly. I was able to order my take-home meal through him and he made it personally himself. He apologized for how she did. He also said that a lot of the servers try to rush when it’s shift change but he said that’s no excuse. We aren’t going to let one bad experience stop us from going to this Cracker Barrel. We will definitely go back.

Love both the food and service. If you want to try their cinnamon buns, get there early. We went for dinner, and they were sold out by 6:30 pm. On Sunday the 13th.

I was happy to have received a generous portion of the food I ordered. Normally when I order To Go from Cracker Barrel, the portions are really small and hardly any pieces of chicken were in the chicken and dumplings. I ordered the sampler and I received a good amount that was fair to what I was spending in it. I hope this would be consistent, whenever I would order this again ToGo. Thank you! It was good I enjoyed my meal!

The Manager Gary is always attentive and caring when we do office catering. I used to use them more prior to Covid, with the open platter style serving to my office staff. After a last minute caterer cancellation I called Gary and he whipped up a AWESOME serving all individually packaged for sanitary purposes, food what perfect and fresh right on time including the peach cobbler as a last minute request. This place rocks.

Went in to the gift store looking for more pond puppies and I didn’t see any on the floor so Mary the associate came to ask if I needed some help, I said yes I am looking for the adoption pound puppies, like you sold me last time, she went to the back to see the Receiving shipment and yes she found two,I said great I will take both. And a strawberry shortcake doll ,as well. Thanks Mary for helping me and giving great customer service. I love going into this store. What a charming place to sit listen to some gentle Country music (no screaming or fake tears) & eat good home cooking at a great value plus served by sweet & caring people! Love & shopped the store too & moved to Buda Texas 6 days ago (from NYC!)

The food is always great and our server was absolutely awesome. We are a family of four with a two and six year old. We tend to have a lot of little requests and our server helped us with a smile and grace.

There was no wait so we got seated immediately. Our service and dinner selections were great!

The food was as good as expected. We ordered the meatloaf and the chicken fried chicken. The server, Andrew, did a nice job. He kept our drinks full and, more importantly, kept corn bread in our basket. Cracker Barrell is a great family restaurant. The only issue is I wish they gave a veterans discount or a senior citizens discount. I'm actually surprised that they don't.

Food was very good. Only complaint was that I felt the tater tot hashbrown casserole barrel bite could've been less mushy. Servers were very kind! Also one of the few restaurants where the broccoli was not mushy and had lots of flavor. Steak, fried chicken, and popcorn shrimp were great. Mac was solid.

This Cracker Barrel has great home styled cooked food. I tried a different dish this time and was very well impressed with it! Great tasting and piping hot! This location is conveniently located where its means of egress is very accessible to the major highway. There is plenty of parking as well. I highly recommend this Cracker Barrel for your next meal.

The famous Cracker Barrel in TX 🇺🇲 We've waited for more than an hour to get in the restaurant for brunch with family. I ordered stuffed pancake. Food is okay, nothing fancy. Portioning is well above my expectations. Staff are nice, but the wait to get inside is frustrating. Too crowded for my taste. It kinda tested my patience. 😂 Ample parking is there around the area. If you want to experience Cracker Barrel once, it is worth the wait.

I had a friend fly in from California and I live in Wimberley. They weren't going to land until around 4 and I didn't want to fight the traffic so I suggested she Uber over to Buda Cracker Barrel. I hadn't been in a Cracker Barrel in a long time so it was a nice experience just waking in. At first it feels like walking into a gift store and not a restaurant. All the clothes and gifts are really colorful and say buy me..;) We were there early so there wasn't a wait at all. However, if there is a wait, I was able to hear the speakers in the bathroom, which was very clean. The restaurant has a huge fire place and thankfully it wasn't lit..;) since it was 95 outside. Speaking of the restaurant there were several antiques around to make it feel homey

Had a meal inside that was fine. But had a meal to take home and the chicken fried steak tasted so badly that we weren't able to eat. Seemed meat was spoiled or something? Not sure, the pork chop meal was delicious. Music always is so loud. But that's the same everywhere else. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Only my carryout order wasn't that good.

I went for breakfast on my birthday It was just me and my mother in law. They didn't have strawberries so I was kind of bummed and the waitress felt bad. So she asked if I wanted them to sing happy birthday I said sure. She brought me a peach cobbler and said she got in trouble for singing to me. I was baffled. Why would that be against policy? Wwnt to the Cracker Barrell in Buda, Tx yesterday. The service was horrible. After finding out the Cracker Barrel CEO went woke we will not be going back. It's a shame politics keeps destroying great business's with nasty people like this CEO. My grandpa always said if it aein,t broke don't fix it. Another establishment gone to hell.

The food is good. My favorite is the apple cinnamon oatmeal and the fried apples. Most of the wait staff is friendly and accommodating, but there have been a few that hardly came back to the table. My biggest concern is the cleanliness of the dishes and silverware. We were given an extremely dirty water glass and had to bring it to the waiters attention which he did kindly replace. Overall, I still like the food and hope this was a one time occurrence.

Food is always good. They serve a really good southern Thanksgiving dinner with a piece of pumpkin pie that is way more flavorful than most.

I love this place! I get delivery orders from there weekly and the food is great but, are they SO STINGY with the syrup! Good Lord! I ordered 3 orders of pancakes and 1 order of French toast and I only get 2 little bottles of syrup? Seriously? You have no option in the Uber app to request ‘extra’ but only to buy a huge bottle. I shouldn’t have to buy a huge bottle…I should get enough syrup to use with the food that I already paid for.

If I had to choose between IHOP, Denny's and Cracker Barrel, hands down Cracker Barrel would win every time! They are the breakfast champs! They serve breakfast all day long but also offer good lunch and dinner options. It's cozy, smells fantastic and just makes you feel like your eating in someone's home! The food is much better then their competition! Their pricing is also very reasonable! I just love shopping around in the front of the restaurant. They have the CUTEST home decor and really cute clothes! They also have a lot of novelty items like beanie babies, vintage sodas and candies! This is a fun family store/restaurant. A really great place to sit down and have a warm meal, a great conversation with the family and will leave you feeling the fuzzies inside!

Cracker Barrel never gets old, their Thanksgiving special is so delicious, and their pancakes—I have no words. One thing I’ve seen in every Cracker Barrel is that they take forever to get your meal, but, oh well, I choose to come here for what I love to eat.

Clean place. $$ Customer service is not great. Food is always on point. Delicious chicken pot pie. They serve breakfast all day. Free corn bread and biscuits. The store part always has great gifts, take extra cash because you won't be able to resist shopping. I would recommend!!

They have updated their menu since last I was here. The food is much better than my previous visits. I have put this back into rotation of places to eat.

I came here to celebrate what would've been my 10th wedding anniversary. Food was decent. I got the New York Strip and shrimp bowl. It was a small bowl with about 6 battered shrimps. Steak was cooked slightly longer than I prefer (ordered rare, got medium done), but it okay in flavor. The appetizer I ordered, onion petals, was good. The sides as well were decent. Service was friendly. The gift shop was cute.

Great food selection there is something for everyone both healthy and indulging choices. The trout, hamburgers, smashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and the side corn bread muffins are really good choices. Service can be a little slow and forgetful when the restaurant is running a full capacity but it's understandable. Love the place ambiance as well.

Good place to say you’ve been there done that. Food is tasty but oh so unhealthy and very heavy. Also, the gift shop is consumerism personified...encouraging you to buy a bunch of random stuff you really don’t need. You can’t get to the restaurant without walking thru the gift shop first. Over consumption at its best. However, a friend of mine visiting from out of town insisted I must try it. So I did. It was a good experience to try this place at least once :-)

Made reservations online. When we showed for our reservations the system had gone down and it was another hour long wait. People started to leave when the wait turned 2.5 hrs. Service was good. Food was good.

Oh cracker barrel, where did you lose your way? Was it when you backed down from that clean refresh of the logo and stores cause people who never eat there got all in their feelings about it? The maze of the store attached to the restaurant before you even get seated has become an unbearable travesty of overpriced junk no one really wants. But then I discovered that fraggle hole in the corner and when I peeked into it I saw the unhappy world beyond where the stock gnomes sleep during the day and stock the store at night. I'm sore of they were given better items to stock they would be a lot happier. And then when you finally get to sit and eat, well, the food has gone downhill. In a trash bag. Full of gravy. Expired gravy. I don't know how to describe just how bad the food has gotten. I mean the service was worse. Oh well. So long!

Wow wow wow was this a bad visit. I’ve always thought of Cracker Barrel very fondly and with great past experience/service, but today was terrible. I sat for about 10 minutes before I was attended to, another probably 8-10 to just get a coffee and water I had to remind her I hadn’t received yet, she offered biscuits while I waited on my food, those were brought out AFTER I got my meal and also with another reminder.. my eggs were cold, I ordered strawberry pancakes and they brought out plain pancakes, had to get a to go dish of sugar for my coffee from the kitchen (mind blowing that it wasn’t just on the table) and she seemed pretty unapologetic about all the screw ups. Not rude, just apathetic. Seems like the servers here might need to be trained better… doubt I’ll be coming back to this one anytime soon. And if I have to “tell you how to make it better” by doing some dumb survey, then maybe you didn’t read what I just stated above.. I think I laid it all out there very plainly. Maybe corporate needs some training as well.

I got to say I came to this place with high hopes after almost 10 years of not visiting one. Our server messed up the order then did not take off an add on once we got the receipt like she said she would. We had to ask again. Then after she forgets our boxes bag and receipt only to go ask two new table for their orders while we were already waiting for the second mistake to be corrected. Was having a good day so I let it go but normally I think anyone would be justified to lose the bearing after so much lack of attention. My advice?: Don’t try to multitask and finish the task at hand before moving on. Food was ok as expected. The atmosphere was great. No military discount which was weird for an American county restaurant. 👎

Update*** I had written a very good review about a month ago,but I've decided to delete and update as well as subtract stars. Tonight I ended up waiting almost 20 min for my Togo food past the 15 min that I was told that my food would be ready. They weren't even busy.The gentleman at the cash register was really nice and went to the kitchen twice as well as asked the hostess once to go check on my food. When he had come out of the kitchen I overheard him tell the hostess that apparently no one wanted to put my Togo order together because they would rather do their side work. Finally a manager walked up to me and asked if I was waiting to be seated. I told her no I was waiting for my Togo food but apparently your servers are too busy with side work. She was nice and said sorry,but that kind customer service from her staff is so unprofessional and rude. Also I didn't know that my Mac in cheese was supposed to be soup. Who ever threw my food together literally gave it to me with my mac in cheese filed with green bean juice. Plus my biscuits were black. Also just saying I'm sorry? You could have offered a coupon or something.

First time here and service was horrible order a drink with my meal our waitress told me 3 times it was coming. After the 3rd I said never mind forget the drink I dont think the order was ever placed. We kept having to flag other waitresses down. I dont know if I wanna even go back. I can say my salad was the only thing good. Update we went for a friend's birthday dinner and waited for 2 hours for our food. The kitchen was backed up smh. Food was good for a change it took a while to get it but it was good I must say. We had a great waiter he was very attentive while we waited for so long.

Stopped to have breakfast here on the most recent experience and I'm not sure why I keep coming here. I guess I always have a soft spot in my belly for Cracker Barrels, the food at this location never measures up like the others though. It's a pain to get to this location, as it's wedged between HEB and Cabela's there is a lot of maneuvering to get here. Always seems like it's more work than it's worth. The service is also so so compared to other locations. I'm just bummed that this is one of the closer locations and the food and service doesn't compare to the rest. They all serve the same food, so cracker barrels chicken and dumplings always get me! The biscuits are also my favorite, but here the biscuits are either burnt or cold. Bummer on both sides of the equation. This past time I got the Southwestern Hash Breakfast and I'd say it was probably one of the worst breakfast I have had. The eggs were chunky and over cooked, the sausage was seasoned but terrible, and the potatoes were bland as can be and cold. It was hard to eat even though I was starving. The only good thing was the parking lot was super crowded but we didn't have to wait to be seated, but that was about the only good thing.

Let me start by saying that my chicken dinner was very raw. The first time I had food here was during covid and I thought it was the best chicken fried steak I ever had. But recently the food has been ok but not great. The worst order was yesterday. My chicken dinner (fried chicken breast) was raw!!! The outside batter was cooked and crispy but when I cut in it, it was raw. We got it for togo and didn't want to have to drive back in the heat to get it exchanged. We also got chicken pot pie and while it tasted pretty good, it was all mushy. No texture from the "pie" at all. I really would like that delicious chicken fried steak that I had the first time from here again but I have given them enough chances at this point.

Service was ok. We got put at this tiny 2 person table in the middle of the floor. Our waiter you could barely hear him. And the food wasn't good. The gravy was very sweet and the dumplings looked like they came from lasagna.

Wasn't going to post but since this showed up. The experience started poorly. Got there and put our name on the list and was told 40 minutes, possibly less. We got seated 1 hour 12 minutes later. The server was really good and attentive. He brought our biscuits and drinks promptly. The food however, took another hour to get to the table and we it got there it was missing ingredients. I got the egg and bacon and hash brown casserole, but the biscuit was missing. That dish got removed from the bill but after waiting that long to get there missing things is just ridiculous.

It was so unbelievably poor service, I would think something like curbside pick-up would be easy *because the order is written down multiple times* but my order was brought to me with items omitted and my bank sent me a notification of 3 transactions on my card for the same order of $57.08! When I called the store I was redirected 5 different times to different managers and wasted nearly an hour of my time...

Came to this place at 10:30 am and ordered pot roast for to go and waited for 30 minutes plus the cashier told me to fall in line to pay, after waiting for 30 minutes? Are you kidding me? This lady doesn't really know how you feel waiting for 30 minutes and definitely doesn't care.

I ordered Chicken Fried Steak white grave, mash potatoes and corn. I get my plate and notice brown gravy on the edge of the potatoes. I didn’t mind. But when I moved my steak it had brown gravy at the bottom of it. The flipped the steak and took off the top of the potatoes and put white gravy. I asked the Server Elizabeth to call the manager. She came back and said they won’t come out because they’re busy! I have pics but can’t download them on here

Everything is unhealthy , fried and just makes ya feel so bloated after dining. Also wondering why most servers and hostess seem confused at all times. Hostess are short tempered when they get busy on Sundays. There are so many other places to eat at than this sad place. Save yourself & skip this place.

Disappointing Experience at Cracker Barrel – A Decline in Service My wife and I have been loyal customers at Cracker Barrel, dining there at least every other week and always enjoying both the food and the atmosphere. However, our recent visit was deeply disappointing, and it has left us questioning whether we will return. Upon arrival, we stood at the hostess podium for about five minutes before anyone acknowledged us. It wasn’t even the hostess who eventually seated us, which was the first sign that something was off. After being seated, we waited another 15 minutes before anyone came by with menus. We were on the verge of leaving when our server finally arrived. Throughout our meal, the service remained poor. We were not provided with napkins and had to track down a staff member ourselves to get some, as our server was nowhere to be found. When our food finally arrived, it was cold—an issue that, under normal circumstances, we would have brought up, but we ultimately decided to leave it alone. Beyond the service at our table, the overall state of the restaurant was concerning. Many tables were left uncleared, and dirty dishes were piling up. Meanwhile, a younger manager was standing around talking with the waitstaff instead of ensuring that customers were being taken care of. This location used to be excellent, and we never thought we would have to leave a review like this. We have not only dined here regularly but have also frequently purchased from the retail section. However, after this experience, we cannot justify spending our money here any longer. We sincerely hope that Cracker Barrel management takes this review seriously. If there has been a change in leadership or a lapse in oversight, it is important to address these issues before more long-time customers are driven away. Our intent is not to criticize for the sake of complaining, but to express our disappointment and urge improvements.

I ordered waitress came out with something different and said” she knew that I didn’t order this but wanted to know if I still wanted it.” I looked at her. “If you knew this why did you bring it out to me I responded to her”. She said well you never know. I only got a refill once while dining there. Didn’t see our waitress until the check was coming. No I won’t go there to eat again!!!! Not worth it !!

Staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. Started with the host making a very inappropriate joke about a fish allergy. Our waitress could have cared less about serving us. Then as I was paying out the cashier was more worried about talking to her coworker than checking out. Food was fantastic but service staff was less than desirable.

Let me be clear here: I LOVE Cracker Barrel, so it pains me to leave this review, but to be blunt this is consistently the WORST Cracker Barrel I’ve ever been in. The management is lazy, providing no guidance, help, or oversight for the waitstaff, who are across-the-board unhelpful, slow, lacking in customer service skills, and without even trying to attempt to provide service beyond the bare minimums. Top that off with a kitchen staff that is both unbelievably slow (45 min+ for a basic breakfast dish, even when fully staffed and not overly crowded), and incapable of something as basic for a Cracker Barrel as eggs over-medium, hash brown casserole so overcooked and dry it literally cut my mouth to eat, and breakfast ham so hard and dry it was ham jerky, and you have the Cracker Barrel from Hell where hopes of decent food go to die.

I was so disappointed! I was brought here for mothers day and I asked for the NY strip with no garlic sauce on it. I asked for a baked potato which I was told they were out of. We had to ask after several minutes for bread. My steak came, swimming in garlic sauce, and I'm not going to send it back to have spit in it. I told my waiter I asked for no garlic and all he could say is sorry. Then, the table next to us got two beautiful looking baked potatoes! So, I told him, I thought you had no baked potatoes and he said,oh I thought we didn't. Sorry! Do not sit with Alejandro in Buda. You have been warned. I will probably not go back!

Took over 1-1/2 hours to get a table. After we were told wr could make a reservation, then they said that they only operate on a first come whenever there's a holiday. Ex: Mother's day etc. We took our 87 year old mother and had to ditch at the bar for 1-1/2 hours. And to make matters worse, when they called us for a table. We were denied the table because they said they made a mistake and there was someone else before us. Here we go again, and additional 30 minutes wait. Mind you we also had a total of 10 people. Seriously doubt I will ever go there again. Horrible experience 😪

Poor experience. Went for breakfast. Stood at host stand about 5 min before anyone came. Made eye contact with several employees. Got sat. Just me. Literally sat there 12 min. I timed it. Finally waitress came. Waited almost 30 min for eggs, bacon, hash browns. I specifically asked for crispy bacon, crispy hash browns. Bacon was soggy and cold. Hash browns mushy and almost raw? Didn't even take a bite. Asked for a Manager. No manager. Only one was cooking in kitchen. Host said several employees didn't show up. I left completely unsatisfied and hungry. Unbelievable. This location always has issues. Unacceptable and quite rediculous. Lots to fix. Won't go back.

Decided to give Cracker Barrel another chance. Hadn’t been here in years. It wasn’t overly busy and they seemed fully staffed. We sat without a word with staff walking to and fro past us. After a little over 10 minutes with no one checking on us…and apparently broken ac…we decided to leave. Told the manager who gave a perfunctory apology and went back to speaking with an employee. Won’t be back.

The server wasn’t knowledgeable about anything. I mean anything. And the food… sad to say it was so yucky. And guess what? They didn’t do anything about it. Definitely never coming back. :(

We all know Cracker Barrel food is good, but service is terrible! My husband spilled his drink on an accident while I was feeding my baby. My husband went immediately report the accident and we waited, waited, and nothing had done for us to solve that issue. Meanwhile, I was feeding my baby and waitresses looking at us struggling and nothing had done. The host was looking at us, even after we talked to her requesting a new table, she didn’t do anything. I went sit down in other table, so I could finish to feed my baby. Finally, We waited for more than 10 minutes and a guy came to clean up the floor only but the table was a whole mess! I appreciate it, but the store wasn’t packed and easily the waitress or host could put us somewhere else. Other waitresses were looking at us, but they pretended they didn’t see anything. We were stressed until my husband approached to the waitress and said we are leaving. We were upset with service, bad communication and terrible management.

Me and my family went here for my grandmothers 80th birthday and were seated pretty quickly but as soon as we were seated we were ignored for over 15 minutes. Once we asked a passing waitress (that was actually our waitress) for some coffee we were finally tended to. The steak was super fatty and the chicken tenders and shrimp were over breaded. Once we checked out it took another 30 minutes because the manager was going back and forth with my mother and asking loudly if she was going to leave a tip or not. I hate being the person to say this but he was being extremely racist and degrading. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything like this ESPECIALLY ON SOMEONES BIRTHDAY.

Door Dashed food from this location and this is what I got. Just because the customer isn't there to "inspect" the food doesn't mean you can cheat them out of a decent portion. That is horrible service and shame on you.

We went on Saturday morning Aug 30th and had a horrible experience. My husband ordered eggs over medium with sausage and pancakes. He got bacon and scrambled eggs instead. I got scrambled eggs, sasauge, biscuits and gravy. Both our eggs were cold, flavorless, bacon was undercooked, and sausage was uncooked and had a gamey taste to it. My gravy had no flavor what so ever. Pancakes were ok. We had waited a while for our food and had plans so we didn't have time to send our food back and wait for them to remake it. We didn't get Forks and it took multiple attempts to flag someone down to get Forks so we could eat, the severs kept walking by ignoring us.

I can’t express enough my disappointment today going to this restaurant. The waitress was unfriendly and really rushing us to order. I mean she was wanting to take our order before we even got our biscuits. She was asking for our order before we even had our drinks. My food came out and was cold, the bacon was not cooked evenly and not cooked at all in some parts. Hiss chk fried steak looked like that was from the freezer at the school cafeteria (his words). The only good thing was those biscuits. Everything else was terrible. Won’t be back

I stopped eating at Cracker Barrel because of their horrific track record with inclusion. For some odd reason I tried it again tonight and was rewarded with crap food. I tried the new herb roasted chicken with a salad and corn. Everything came out at once so the food slowly got cold while I ate my salad with its super thin blue cheese dressing. The chicken skin was good. Leg and thigh tender but the breast portion was dryer than a saltine cracker. Corn was straight from a can with no seasoning or anything-just like DelMonte in the microwave. I also hate how you have to go through the store and stand in line to pay. Of course, how else are families going to resist their kids screaming for all the stuff they want to buy? I’ll definitely not be back.
