Kaju Soft Tofu is a popular spot known for its flavorful and comforting Korean cuisine, especially the soft tofu soup and banchan. Customers praise the fresh ingredients, generous portions, and modern touches like robot servers. Some mention inconsistent waitlist management.
Tip: Go spicy with the soondubu and poach your egg, then add it to your rice. Also, be aware that parking can be a hit or miss.
First time here. Got the kimchi tofu soup with beef. Easy 5 stars restaurant. Delicious food and very nice service.
Food is delicious! Would highly recommend. If you come after 7:00 p.m. it can be difficult to find parking at times. Service quality does decrease a little when they are busy, understandably.
Kaju for dinner is always a good idea. I love their very spicy kalbi tofu soup and kalbi dinner. Yum!
I loved the smooth texture of the tofu and how flavorful the soup was. Service was quick and friendly. A cozy spot for a warm meal.
Great food and great overall feel in the restaurant. Staff was attentive to our needs and always checking in to make sure everything is good.
We have been going to this location for about 5 years, we have our favorite waiter(short hair huge smile) who we are always happy to see. My kiddo knows this is the fish cake place and this is where he wants to go ❤️
High recommend a Tofu soup combo. This combo comes with your choice of soup and protein, 4 great options. The Galbi ribs and spicy pork Bulgogi are my favorite. This meal can be shared or eaten alone. I have Kaju on a weekly rotation 😋 The restaurant has a yelp wait list you can join online and check wait times.
Food is always abundant and amazing here. My favorite is the bossam combo. Best bossam I’ve had, honestly! Sides are great and service is quick. Always excited to come back.
The food is really good. They have one of those robots that serve your food so that's cool and interesting. The servers are busy, but kind and attentative.
Came there for group lunch. We had a reservation so we were seated right away. Ordered food and the orders came out correct. Staff was attentive. We asked for extra bowls and ban chan refills. The staff was quick to service our requests. They also have a robot that delivers the ban chan, waters, plates, and utensils.
Seriously best Korean food I have ever had in OC! The food was so good. Our waiter was so kind and made some suggestion that we went with. It was so good. The kimchi beef 🥩 had so much flavor it's a must try. Highly recommend it!!!
👍🏻👍🏻 all the side dishes were very tasty. I ordered the octopus stone pot rice and it was bomb. Great price for what you get. Loved it
We just tried this place a couple of weeks ago and we love it!!!! The food is outstanding.
The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish bursting with flavor and made with high-quality ingredients. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and portions. On top of that, the service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a wonderful dining experience!
I always go to Kaju whenever I crave soft tofu soup with oysters. The staff are all friendly and efficient. However, it took them a while to serve our meals that day because it was extremely busy on a Sunday. I took my friends here about 2 weeks ago and one of them stated that it was so much better than the competition.
I come with my family a few times a month for good reason. Food is consistently good and we love the banchan. I usually order the soondubu with oyster which offers generous portions of oyster. I occasionally dabble with other menu items like galbi tang which for me is on par with a neighboring restaurant 😉. The service is surprisingly good considering how busy it gets too.
Excellent service and waitstaff. Kimchi here is a highlight, very refreshing and has a sweet flavor too. Cold noodles are great too!
Always love it here. Hot or cold weather this is our go to comfort food. The quality of food is amazing. Thank you Kaju
Good in prompt delicious and service is excellent . We dont have to ask people to come over but your staff is so on the ball making sure we have our needs met
Best tofu house in Southern California actually best tofu house anywhere in the US. We lived in GA where there are tons of Koreans and we thought we had the best over there. That was revoked after we tried Kuju. They have the best staff the best food and we never have a problem when we go there. Food is always on point.
Kaju is my favorite korean tofu soup restaurant in town! The fact that there is always a line should let you know just how much everyone loves this spot! Service is always super friendly and food is fresh, high quality, and delicious!
Nice little tofu soup restaurant with other Korean dish offerings. The ham and cheese soup as well as the dumpling soup are my personal favorites. The banchan is delicious, especially the cucumber kimchi. Service can be a little rough when they get busy cause I’ve only ever seen about 2-3 servers doing everything. Apart from that, this is a solid Korean tofu soup restaurant.
I always enjoyed the food and services! The best tofu restaurant!
This time was a pickup. But we've come here a few times in the past and the food and atmosphere was amazing. Our food was delicious and our server was friendly. Will come here again.
I love soondubu and stone bibimbap—both are my go-to favorites! The banchan side dishes were excellent, and the kimchi was perfectly crunchy, just how I like it. The staff were very attentive, and the robot delivering some of the orders added a fun element. The atmosphere was great, and the tables were well spaced for social distancing, which made dining solo super comfortable. Gamsahabnida!
Great place to dine if you are craving for tofu soup. Their sides are very good and looks like they all make them from scratch. They also have 2 robot assistants that deliver food to your table. Make sure you go before lunch hours or dinner hours as it gets crowded and wait times are much longer. Will definitely come back.
Hands down the best tofu house in town. This place the food is more premium than their GG location. The service is friendly and the food taste better. The location is really big and clean. The decorations has a very authentic feel to it. Their banchan is even better too. We got the kalbi short ribs, and every piece is edible unlike the GG ones. The kalbi here is full of meat and less fat. The assorted tofu soup hits the spot with its boiling Tofu before we dropped in the egg. I especially love their anchovies banchan so crispy with a hint of sweetness. We also ordered a six piece fried dumplings. It was fried to perfection. I love that their the service here. They were attentive without making you feel like they were watching your every move. Their was no wait when we came at 12pm.
Looking for a soft tofu restaurant? I found this restaurant chain that satisfy my soft tofu craving! Highlights of the menu: 1. Bibimbap - seafood bibimbap with shrimp and octopus 2. Kaju special set C: - Galbi - Korean short ribs cut across the bone, tender, grilled up in sweet sauce - Small intestine tofu soup The side dishes (banchan) are yummy and is served right when we enter the restaurant, while we’re waiting for the food. My favorite banchans are fish cake and dried fish. The dried fish is especially good with beer. The store is decorated with legit Korean arts and crafted sculptures, which I feel like I just went to a short trip to Korea. Really cute sculptures at the entrance!! They have multiple locations, including Garden Grove, Irvine, and Buena Park. Very convenient when we want to stop by for lunches and dinners.
Amazing Authentic food. One of the best tofu restaurants.I've been to one hundred percent recommend, don't miss out on it.The atmosphere is great. The customer service was impeccable. The decor was unbelievably beautiful and authentic for the.Region, this food is from definitely recommend
It was quick and easy for to go service. Food was package nicely as to avoid any spills. Service was speedy and friendly. Would definitely recommend checking it out.
I ordered online and picked up to go food was done in a fast-paced manner and everything was hot and delicious. Portion size is very good I was able to save half and eat the rest later.
Came on a Monday night and there was no wait at all for a table for 3. The service was quick and the food was amazing! They have a cute little robot/machine that goes around serve bonchon. And the servings were reasonable. We ordered the pork cutlets as well and it was DELICIOUS!! Highly recommend.
Great traditional Korean food! Love the beef ribs bone soup. I will definitely come again with friends!
This is our family’s SPOT (we are a Korean family btw) and have tried A LOT of different kinds of Korean soon doo boo restaurants all across SF, NY, LA and OC, but Kaju takes the 🎂with their always on point soon doo boo’s. It has never been too diluted for me and in addition to the soon doo boo (my go to his kimchi beef - medium spicy), their other dishes are must-try’s as well! We love ordering the galbi, spicy bbq chicken, fish, and bibimbab…not to mention the service (both the people and the robots) are 5/5. We absolutely love it here and end up coming here for all of our birthday and special celebrations!
Food is great. Love the side dishes. Service is good, they serve with a smile and courteous. Atmosphere, not too fancy but i like it, simple with cute robots serving the dishes.
I have been a fan of kaju tofu since their first location in garden grove years back. I remember eating at kaju tofu around the year of 2012, when their hours was open until 2 am. After long hours of work, usually I left work @ midnight, my coworkers and I go to this spot because its one of the few establishment opened late and food was amazing!!!!! I loved the soondubu especially the combination. Ever since I moved down to san Diego, have a family of my own, I even introduced my husband and my daughter to this place, and by far, he said this is the best korean restaurant he has been ever been to. Thank you so much for everything and keep up the great work!!!!
Love this place! The prices are fair and they custom the spice however you want it. It's also difficult to find tofu soup spots that offer vegetable base and veggie dumplings! This is a vegetarian dream!
I enjoy ordering my duo meals. The galbi was super delicious and jus what I was craving during a rainy cold day.
I've been there numerous times and their tofu soup has been awesome each and every time, but my personal favorite that everyone else seems to miss is their kalbi or Galbi. Now, I make my own and I always consider mine to be the best, but whenever I don't have time to buy all the ingredients, I usually buy it from Kaju Soft Tofu Restaurant. Why? Because theirs is so good! But beyond that they are very generous with the portions, there's enough to last for your dinner and lunch the next day. What's surprising is that it tastes just as good if not better the next day. I saved the best part for last. The price is very reasonable. You get more than what you pay for, and that's why we go there very often and order it to go.
Great service. The food was delicious. I ordered the mushroom bibimbap. Very generous portions. They also have electronic food runners. Recommend for anyone looking for good Korean cuisine.
Very good food. The mild tofu soup did have kick to it, but the medium spice level chicken and pork were not spicy and were so delicious. Order via tablet, receive banchan via server, receive main order via robot.
Who knew that Soft Tofu Soup would be so delicious?! This was my first time trying this and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! Love it!! It comes bubbling hot so it stays hot throughout your meal. It’s a nice presentation when they put it on the table. And, so flavorful! We asked for medium spice so not overly spicy. No wonder it’s their specialty!! I would definitely order the SunDuBu (soft tofu soup) again!! We had the Pork Soft Tofu Soup so you can add protein or seafood to it. They have the cutest robot that will deliver some Banchan side dishes to your table. So fun! The spicy pork bulgogi comes sizzling to the table! It was delicious!! Mary gave great customer service! Overall, such a great dining experience. We’ll definitely be back! Update: 2nd visit I was back for the yummy food and the cute robot 😉 Honestly, I could eat Korean food everyday lol 🤣😋 Their Banchan side dishes are delicious!! - Dumpling Tofu Soup (not my favorite of their soft tofu soups but was good) - Beef Bulgogi (so flavorful) It really hits the spot for comfort food cravings. I’m already thinking of what to try next 😋
Alright, if you love Korean comfort food, you have to check out Kaju Soft Tofu. They’ve been around for over 30 years, and there’s a reason people keep coming back. This spot is all about rich, cozy flavors — from their signature soft tofu soups, to Korean BBQ, to fresh banchan that tastes like it came right out of someone’s home kitchen. We ate the galbitang, Korean bbq short ribs, and the kalbi tofu soup. Excellent food and service. It’s a definite must try.
This is hands down the best KAJU Soft Tofu Restaurant. It is always worth the drive and the service here is incredible. Seems like every time I’ve dined here there’s always something new and/or improved. I’m starting to see more restaurants with the ordering menu tablet right at the table and this location has it. The wait is never bad or maybe I just have great timing. 🤔😄 The food- always delicious, the banchan sides are yummy, and the chef specials only at this location is a must try. Definitely easily one of my top 10 local eateries.
Ig: socalhkfoodies authentic but morden Korean food experience🇰🇷🍚❤️ The decor mixes old traditional style with modern touches — like a cool robot server that feels very futuristic. The food is really authentic, especially the sizzling rice, tofu soup, and galbi. 😋 We ordered 3 combos, and people of all ages really enjoyed them!
When I first moved to Orange County, the first tofu soup spot I had wad Kaju and since then it’s been the standard. Kaju Soft Tofu is, of course, known for their incredibly silky soft tofu that comes boiling hot ♨️ and served with steamed rice and a variety of banchan. To complement the soup, we had their seafood pancake which was delicious! One of the best in the area hands down. This was my first time at the Buena Park location, but was super impressed by the attentive service, generous portions, and quality of banchan. We even got tea (?) poured over our leftover rice, very reminiscent of an ochazuke. Overall, Kaju is the standard 💯 and we highly recommend! Order: 🍲 Assorted tofu soup/soondubu with clams, shrimp, oyster, beef 🥞 Seafood pancake/hameul pajeon
If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience in Buena Park, look no further than Kaju Soft Tofu Place. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with impeccable service that blends efficiency with warmth, including their innovative robot server for side dishes—a delightful touch that enhances the dining experience. The star of the menu here is undoubtedly their seafood tofu, prepared with precision and bursting with fresh flavors that will satisfy even the most discerning palate. Pair it with their tender kalbee, which is grilled to perfection, and you have a meal that’s not just a delight but a culinary journey. But it’s not just about the mains—the side dishes deserve equal praise. Each one is crafted with care, offering a variety of flavors and textures that complement the main dishes beautifully. In summary, Kaju Soft Tofu Place is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular, you’ll find yourself returning again and again for their excellent food, outstanding service, and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in Buena Park.
Place is delicious, a must try if you around the area. We also love the atmosphere, makes you feel like you are in a different world which is a nice touch and it adds more to the experience. Overall everything here is great, the price and the tofu soup which is freaking GREAT!! Please go here it won’t let you down.
Tech in this restaurant doesn’t feel like USA!!! They have a serving robot and you can change the lighting color of the mirror in the bathroom. Food is GREAT. They are very delicious. Seafood pancake is better than what I expected. The tofu soup is very good too. Lunch set is the best value to go for. Most servers speak very-Korean English and it’s very hard to understand sometimes. Parking lot is spacious.
We recently dined here and the food was good although the service from a specific lady Maria, was definitely outputting and brang the atmosphere down. We also observed that other people being servered by her werent treated the same way. But the other servers that were in specific a tallish Korean lady didn't catch her name though was an amazing server.
Great spot in Buena Park for Korean comfort food! This new location is large and open. The food is comparable to what is offered at their other locations. The tofu soup is hearty and flavorful. I ordered the bulgogi and soft tofu combo. I got the beef dumpling tofu with a medium spice level. The bulgogi is thinly sliced and was perfectly cooked. The soup was just the right level of spice! We had an order of the fried mandu which was good, but seemed like the kind you can buy at the market. This is a reliably consistent restaurant with a casual atmosphere that does its specialty dish really well.
They ran out of high chairs so there was a slight wait. The service could be a little better but the food comes out quickly. We like the pork ribs over the galbi. Tofu is alright, I kind of like BCD a little bit more but I like the sides and other dishes like the flatfish here better.
This is my go-to for Soon Tofu but they have many other delicious Korean dishes to offer. Bibimbap, kalbi, mackerel, etc. Great for groups and my 3 and 6 year old nieces love their white soon tofu, they ask to go here all the time. Solidly tasty, you cannot go wrong with anything they offer.
I have been Kaju Tofu several times already. It’s kind far away from my area ( 35 mins driving), but it’s worth. The restaurant is clean, you can see the culture through the details. Especially, the food delivery robot was so cute. Their menu is simple not too many choices because the main food here is Tofu soup. My favorite is the Seafood Tofu Soup always. And they also offer six kinds small dishes per table. We ordered combo D ( one small seafood Tofu soup + beef), a vegetable Tofu soup today, spent $57.00 including tips. The reason I only gave 4 stars not 5 stars, because the service lady was kind cold, no smile, even No said Hi whonly one “ Thank you” after she took the tips. Lol
Been here a few times and each time we leave very satisfied with the food. Got Spicy mushroom tofu soup, Kaju lunch special beef bulgogi and oyster tofu soup. Love the side dishes. Although, they may want to hire more servers, had a hard time getting drink refills as there was only one server for the entire restaurant.
The food was delicious! I got spicy level which wasn't that spicy. I guess that is to be expected since it was only the midway level. The flavor was pretty good. I was really disappointed that we came at lunch time specifically for the lunch time combo prices, but everything was priced for dinner which the server did let us know! I just think it's pointless to label January 2 as an extended holiday to be able to keep prices higher. Service was alright overall.
Beef ribs soup (galbi tang) was perfect on a cold night. The restaurant was busy and many were having a good meal. The robotic servers were interesting. Looked like they were in the way of the servers who were running around. But the robots did deliver what was programmed. My soup and beef ribs were delicious. We also ordered the Beef short ribs, a very tasty dish. The marinade was exceptional. I will definitely return to try other items. Hope you visit this place if you haven't already. We came here on a random weekend afternoon to get our fix — and it sure did fix us. Good service and great food. Plus, it's always a pleasant sight seeing the little Wall-Es beep-booping around delivering kimchi and sides. Whenever they got stuck, an ajumma would come flying in from across the restaurant to give them a little kick. I thought it was cute. Water-Refill Counter: 3 @feedbubby
It’s a bit salty, but really tasty! If you like Korean food and enjoy spicy dishes, it’s definitely worth trying.
Kaju Soft Tofu still has my favorite soontofu ever: galbi soft tofu. The crazy thing is soontofu costs $17.99 per bowl! This includes the rice bowl that comes in the stone pot. Add water to it after you remove the rice. Take it home to drink. This also includes the side dishes, like kimchi cabbage, kimchi radish, bean sprouts, etc. You order on the tablet at your table. When you need to check out, there is an option on the tablet too. I docked one overall star because the service was lacking. The tablet has options to ask for water or get the check, but there is no button to get to-go containers or more napkins. It was hard to flag down someone, and it took them even longer to get what we asked for. Free parking in the private lot No WiFi Bathroom available in the back Credit card/Apple Pay accepted
Tofu soup is taste even is white/no spicy at all. Kalbi bbq rib is good too. Kids like fry dumpling. Kimchi is fresh, not sour. I dont like sour kimchi 😊. Mashed potato side dish is good too, mixed it with apple. Tofu soup come with stone rice, kalbi come with rice too but not in stone. They use robot so for sure kids like it.
Cali weather couldn't make up its mind as usual. It was sunny and hot then cold and cloudy. One of the best ways to warm up is drinking soup. Parking: Free compact parking lot. Finding a spot can be a hit or miss. Ambiance/Environment: We visited close to 14:00 for lunch on a Sunday, and they were very busy. They have a medium sized space with a decent amount of indoor seating. No outdoor seating. Good for groups of all size. Service: There was a large group waiting to be seated. No one was at the podium greeting new guests. After waiting a while, one customer had to go find a hostess in order to be seated. I also went to find a hostess and we were seated at 13:50. Two min after being seated, our server asked if we were ready to order. We didn't even get a chance to look at the menu lol .. we asked for 5 more min. He didn't come back to our table. I noticed this server has done the same with other tables, not on purpose. I could tell they were low staff on servers. It was difficult waving down a server for a while. We were able to wave down another server and placed our order at 14:18. Throughput was quick as our food came out within 8 min after ordering. The robot was really cool. No one came to check on us after that. Foods: 1) Galbi Tang - aka Beef Rib soup. Wow this portion was huge! It came with 3 beef ribs, clear noodles, and toppings. The soup was simple yet addicting. The beef ribs were cooked well, and they paired perfectly with the glass noodles. 2) Kaju Lunch Special - We chose Chicken Bulgogi + small Kimchi tofu soup. The Chicken Bulgogi was sooo flavorful! I paired it with the banchan and rice. I ordered the Kimchi tofu soup medium spice. There was definitely a kick to it and filled with a generous amount of tofu. The tofu was indeed soft. I absolutely enjoyed this dish! 3) Kaju Bibimbap - The portion was also huge! Make sure to mix immediately to avoid the rice from burning on the bottom! There was no exact description on its ingredients, but there was beef, rice, mushrooms, bean sprouts, carrots, cucumbers, onions, spinach, seaweed, raw egg, sesame seeds. So good! 4) Banchan - Complimentary sides and rice. The rice was actually large. The banchan were delicious. Pricing: It is on the pricier end $$$, but it is absolutely worth it. Portions are large enough to share between 2 people. Service can improve. At least it's worth the wait.
Kaju is almost always packed, but for good reason! The food is just amazing. The banchan is so flavorful, everything is always fresh and you can tell they make it all in house. We love that it comes with a little mackerel! I’ve had better seafood pancake, but it is a huge portion. The galbi is delicious and the tofu stews never miss. Pricey, but worth it! It can get pretty slow just because they are so busy, it would be a bit smoother if they had a couple more servers, but we’ve come to just accept the wait as part of the experience.
I recently visited the Buena Park location and thought the food was amazing, but let me tell you, the food at this spot is on a whole other level! From the moment you step inside, you can't help but feel your senses come alive with the aroma of spices and flavors that are sure to make your taste buds dance. While the food may be top-notch, I will say that the service could use a bit of improvement. We found ourselves waiting for what felt like an eternity before a server finally noticed us. But hey, when you're serving up food this good, I can understand why they're so busy! Despite the wait, I will definitely be coming back to this spot again and again. The food is just too delicious to pass up! So if you're looking for a place to satisfy your hunger and leave your taste buds wanting more, this is the spot for you. Trust me, you won't regret it!
If you like spicy food I guess this place will fit you well. It’s a very nice spot but what I would like to see better is their service.
Dinner specials were amazing taste and quality i loved all the food only thing i didnt like was the lack in service, had to call the server for napkins and our drinks a couple times which were never brought, mind you it wasnt very busy at the time, asked to ask for rixe twice before we got it, over all food was good but service needs to improve For both the robots and servers.
The quality of service has noticeably declined. Previously, the server would assist with taking out the rice from the pot as part of the tofu house menu, but now I have to do it myself. Additionally, the server seemed to be in a hurry to take my order, making the experience feel rushed and less attentive. I always tip at least 20%, but unfortunately, the service remains below expectation.
The food is very delicious. However, We pointed out that the bulgogi tasted different from usual and wasn't sweet, so they made it again. The server secretly remade the bulgogi without us noticing and charged it to our bill. We love this restaurant and always give tip, but this was a very unpleasant experience. I noticed that there was an additional charge, but I gave them a tip as a thank you for remaking it. They really did discourage and disappoint me. By the way, they immediately took the receipt back, probably to hide the additional charge for bulgogi. I posted this experience to make this restaurant even better.
I dropped in at lunch time to get something to go. I went in twice because I had to get my glasses. I stood there in front of the register to order for about 10 minutes. The waitress came up a couple times, never acknowledged me and walked off. I left the place was packed with Asian people so it must be good, maybe they need to hire someone people. They have a robot taking food out to the tables.
You order on the touch pad at each table, and robots are the one delivering the food. But they demand you to pay 30, 25, and 15% tip to the server. Plus, their food isn’t good. Their side dish is pretty bad. I don’t recommend to anyone.
Family dinner, ordered several kinds of soft tofu stew. Two types of water, hot water and cold water, and stainless steel cups came with it. The water stains on the cups didn't come off, so the taste of the water stains was worse than my taste. I couldn't drink the water. The side dishes were delivered by robot. The side dishes have been changing for a year or two, and haven't changed at all since a few months ago. There was no new flavor at all. Soft tofu stew was delivered, and it tasted like MSG, MSG. It was really hard to eat. When I got home, my stomach hurt so much that I had to go to the bathroom right away.
Average tofu restaurant! We were served with rice that was particularly cooked. Waitress provided extra bowl of rice. But, new pot of rice should have been provided. We also noticed why rice was partially cooked (use of broken lid). restaurant needs to check and replace all broken lids for rice cooking stone bowl. Also, not enough waitresses to serve customers properly 😑
I recently dined at Kaju Soft Tofu in Buena Park location with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday, and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. What should have been a pleasant night out quickly turned into a regrettable one due to a serious oversight in the kitchen. I ordered what was supposed to be a vegetarian tofu soup, expecting a light flavorful broth with vegetable. When I placed my order I emphasized the importance of using the water base several times. However, they prepared the soup using meat broth. At first I thought I was overthinking since Korean soft tofu is usually has deep flavor, After a few involuntary sips, I found myself feeling physically ill, and to make matters worse, there was a meat floating in it, I had to excuse myself from table to run to the restroom and threw up. I could not return to the table for next 10 to 15 minutes. It was a distressing experience that ruined the night for everyone who went to enjoy a nice birthday meal. After I returned to the table, I couldn’t eat anything anymore, and my friends were too concerned to enjoy their meals. As someone who adheres a vegetarian diet, this was not only an unpleasant surprise but also a serious violation of my dietary preference. To add insult to injury, restaurant did not offer a formal apology for the mix-up. An acknowledgment of the mistake could have gone a long way in making me fell heard as a customer. Instead, I felt neglected and undervalued. On top of that, our bill includes an automatic 18% gratuity for a party of six, which we were not informed about before, nor did we have the chance to to express our thoughts on the service we received. Charging a mandatory tip without consent especially considering how poorly our concerned were addressed. Overall, my experience at Kaju Soft Tofu was disappointing. The lack of consideration for dietary restrictions, compounded by inadequate customer service, is a recipe for disaster. I cannot recommend this restaurant and I hope they take steps to improve their communication and attention to a customer needs in the future
i’ve ordered food from them a few times. beef was good but cod soup that i ordered last time was awful! can you guys imagine brown color cod tasting as tougher as steak in clear soup? the photo is attached. seems like this cod spent in a fridge months before a greedy cook is trying to feed their valued customers with this ancient fish instead of fresh one. so i had to throw it in the trash. i definitely DO NOT recommend this place especially do not order fish.
Service is ridiculously bad here. I don't know if it's a racial thing or something, but we constantly asked for a first refill of sides and were constantly ignored. Servers would nod and say yes, while nobody came back. All the meanwhile the other Korean tables around us are getting everything they ask for. Do better.
Very poor waitlist management. The restaurant did not call names according to the Yelp waitlist. Instead of following the list, staff couldn’t pronounce the names and simply seated whoever happened to be standing near the counter inside. As a result, parties who arrived much later were seated first, while dozens of parties who checked in earlier were left waiting outside with no updates. If you’re going to use Yelp’s waitlist system, it needs to be followed fairly. Otherwise, it wastes customers’ time and creates a very frustrating experience.
