First time at a Sonic, very impressed with the staff and how hospitable they were. As a Canadian it was a change of pace from what I’m used to but in a good way. Burger was great and I like the option for fries, taters or onion rings and all the different sizing they offer in their combos. I went with a Reese’s peanut butter cup Sonic blast and it was massive. Overall it was a solid experience and the restaurant itself is quite clean.

Tried it when we visited buffalo. Place was clean and lots of parking available. Buns on the burger were nice and soft and they had the crispiest fries I’ve ever had at a fast food place

We are from Ontario Canada and this is our first sonic experience! My girls LOVED the cool nerds slushies! And the staff were so attentive and enthusiastic. We loved the roller skates. Service was awesome! Food was pretty good too!

As a first timer to Sonic, It’s the hospitality for me! As a Canadian, I can even tell you WE don’t even go this above and beyond. Manager checking up on quality, and employee asking if we’d like a refill. Very friendly staff, not to mention the food was fresh and tasted delicious. Clean washrooms to boot! Highly recommend!

Mostly do take out drive in. Very good food and ice cream. Not many selections on the ice cream but overall really good. Food does come out fast unlike other drive thrus that is actually not “fast food”. Great customer service. And they really come out on roller blades with your food it’s awesome. Haven’t ate on the inside yet. But when I usually do go it’s not crowded.

Fast service - impressed. We ordered 2 sandwiches, corn dog, a fry, mozz stix, a milkshake and iced tea, but the most impressive thing was how fast our order was at the car. I expected at least eight to 15 minutes but it was in our hands in UNDER five minutes. The roller skating young man was attentive and EVERY bit of my fussiness in the order was perfect, down to the mustard for my corn dog - 2 packets! If you've not had the UN SWEETENED ICED TEA WITH A FLAVOR ADDED, you Are missing out. Terrific taste that was Not overwhelming, not sugary and the crushed ice rather than cubes was that perfect added touch. My friend went inside to give the kid a tip - I was so blasted looking for what was forgotten that he got away before I came to my senses. Great service and actually rather good food. Great addition to the Buffalo restaurant offerings - I'll be back.

I love coming here because we don’t have it in Canada: the garlic butter is so frigging good oh my gosh mmmm mmm mmm. I added it to my burger as I preferred the deluxe over the bacon it was advertised with; the chili cheese tarot tots were ok too. Can’t complain what do you expect from tator tots and chili cheese other then fried greasy goodness: exactly what they were: I love the staff so friendly and create such a cool vibe can’t wait to go back

As a Canadian, I am always shocked at how cheap yet tasty this place is! I make it a point to try to find a sonic anytime I travel because of this. Never disappointed, just have to remember the serving sizes are massive so I have to only pick a couple of things or it’ll be too much. Also dig the old timey vibe with the servers coming to the car.

Good was hot and worth the wait. Cashier seemed to be occupied on her phone with video. Waving and lifting up her shirt in the window not realizing we could see her doing this with whoever she was talking to, needless to say we didn't get any communication from her regarding our wait for the fresh hot food. Drinks were brung out to the car. Thankfully, today was a warm one.

Good food hotdogs, at least to me, are a bit sketchy. Maybe it's the brand. However, despite that fries tots burgers wraps and the chicken bites are pretty good and they have daily deals throughout the week. And of course, the reason everyone comes to ice cream and shakes is awesome, especially if you go toward the evening dusky hours.

Get the app, can save cash, and you can order online and pick it up super easy. They have a bathroom but you got ti ask for key. They got inddor seating and a drive through. When I say that I am at this Sonic location at least 5 days a week, that is not overstating. Most of the time I get Bailee in the drive-thru and she's the best. There's never really a long wait when she's in the window and my order is always perfect. You don't get someone like Bailey in your average drive-thru. She's always smiling and happy. When I hear Bailey over the intercom, I know that everything is going to go well.

So, we had to edit this review. We just learned about sonic double smash burgers this past summer... For context, I dislike meat. Now here's the thing, since let's say June or July.. Today was 🍔 burger # 52 🙈🙉🙊... thats 52 chili cheese🍟fries, 52 drinks🥤, 52 hamburger buns, 104 burgers, 104 slices of 🧀 cheese and 104 pounds we've gained 🤪.. Bravo Sonic for turning this almost vegetarian into a carnivore 🦖 lol P.s. Never get rid of these burgers, they are the best ever!

It's 10 o'clock in the evening. You and your friends have recently enjoyed some cannabis. The munchies have set in, and you're craving a smash burger or perhaps even a pretzel. You'll need to drive up and order through their carhop service; they roller skate directly to your car. It evokes a sense of nostalgia, and the snacks are excellent. I often opt for the pretzel or even the onion rings; the taste is quite satisfying if you're looking for something different.

By far the best sonic I have been to since moving away from Arkansas! Something about the Sonic's up here in the north just don't know how to do it right 😂. Ciara was fantastic and the server was really nice! Food was hot, fresh and delicious. The drinks were on point as well! If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely stop back in, since there's not one in my area (closest one to me is 1.5 hrs away 😢). Cherish this sonic and keep running it right! Great spot in a rather industrial section of Elmwood to grab a bite. From burgers to hot dogs to shakes to breakfast, it's all good. Ciara welcomed us as soon as we came in. She made sure to double check our order and recommended a way to combine good to save us money. Food was delivered via a person on roller skates, and Ciara came over to check on how we were doing. Space is clean, airy, and they offer outdoor seating, old-fashioned drive up service as well as mobile and drive-thru service. Convenient to area businesses, and we'll worth the trip for slushes, and shakes on a hot summer day. Happy hour 2-5 with 1/2 price drinks and slushes.

I bought a strawberry milkshake, a burger and fries. I placed my order through a computerized menu in the parking lot (it's drive in) and a few minutes later, a server came to my car with the food. The server was wearing rollerblades, which was really unique and retro. The food tasted great and the prices were reasonable. I normally don't like milkshakes but the one from Sonic tasted amazing and I will be ordering more milkshakes from now. Overall, I recommend this place!

Love going to Sonic, it's a fun take on fast food with the drive-in experience. Never had any problems with this location, everything has always been correct, hot, and fresh. Personally not a huge fan of Sonic's burgers, but the hot dogs, sides, and drinks are top notch fast food. Especially recommend the Chili Cheese Tots.

Service was amazing! The chicken slider patty was pretty over cooked but small price for such great service during their super busy time. And the same young man was doing all of the drive in orders!!! On rollerskates! Impressive!

Really wish they could get orders correct. Server forgot my drink then just brought me a drink that wasnt what I ordered. This is the 3rd time they have messed it up. 2 dollars in add ons and not a single one give all 3 times. Server Ezekiel seemed like he wanted to be elsewhere. Lingered after forgetting my drink like I should've tipped him again for bringing it out. Onion rings are bomb though. Drinks are too when done correctly.

Food has been decent, service has been decent, been here about 7-8 times, sure the Coney dogs sometimes are a bit sideways, and they did mixup one hotdog for a different one once, but other than that it has been decent. Nobody's been rude, maybe not the most communicative, but not rude.

Drive thru first time at Sonic. Came for the "garlic butter burger" coworker was raving about. Got the medium sized meal for just under $12.00. Fries were smaller than expected but the garlic butter bacon burger was on point! Soft bun. Good size, real beef burger perfectly cooked and dressed with American cheese and mayonnaise and 2 strips of thick cut, real smoked bacon. Yummy!!

Love ordering on the app! I pull up at the stall and my food comes out super fast. Servers are extremely nice and food is always good. Figuring out where the driveway to get in this place is a little complicated for 1st timers, but you get used to it!

Very nice staff. I was new there and they were very patient. I got my shake half off because it was past 8pm. The strawberry cheesecake shake was sooo good omg. The food I got was wayyy over priced though. I'm got popcorn chicken and they gave like 8 very tiny pieces. They barely had any chicken in them too, it was mostly crunchy breading. The sauce was very good though. I honestly only recommend this place for the drinks. You pay a lot for food and barely get any of it. They also put my food upside-down in the bag. What a mess.

Good food they were out of jalapeno cheddar appetizers I would have tried. The chili cheese tater tots were very good.

I actually went here for the first time, and my food was pretty good!! The store looked very clean, surver was very nice! Unfortunately we witnessed him fall because he was on rollerblades which I will admit was kinda funny. I ordered a New York style hot dog, with tater tots, groovy sauce, and a large coke. My bread was pretty soggy and almost messed up the hot dog which is why I give it 4 stars but my food was still good! Definitely will be back💙💛🤍 I also noticed Connect 4 in the lobby and I thought that was fun. Didn’t play it though.

We ordered the all-American dog, the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and cheese tots. The cheese tots were nice and crispy and the hot dog was tasty as well. The food was reasonably priced for a fast food joint and the service was very fast. We did not have to wait long for the food. The server came on roller skates which was really cool. There is also a bean bag toss outside for customers to play. Overall, it was a good experience and the quality and taste of the food was great.

My family and I went on a cross border day trip and the first place we went to was Sonic. The employees there were super patient with us as we looked over the menu and gave us suggestions on what was good. We really appreciated this because their menu is massive and we weren't sure what to order. We sat outside and they brought us our food. Everything was so good and so cheap even with the conversion. I am sad we don't have Sonic in Canada or else I'd get it all the time.

Service was average at the cashier to the servers that come around to serving you; your meal. First time at Sonic. Had the Cheeseburger combo paired with tater tots, popcorn chicken and mozzarella sticks. Then their signature limonade soda. No complaints in their food, maybe the sandwich being too wet; as it seemed to been left in the wrapping too long as the other food was still being prepped. Also tried their BBQ sauce, marinara sauce, buffalo sauce, and honey BBQ sauce. Only the honey BBQ sauce was not worth it.

Good fast food and nice interior. I had a frozen lemonade. It was refreshing but a little too sweet for me. They bring you meal out to your table inside, which I wasn’t expecting. The sundae was a good value too. There are big TVs, clean interior, single stall bathrooms, high chairs. Bathrooms could use a purse hook. There are high tables and booths. It was very fast. No ambiance and would like them to improve their streetscape. It’s terrible to walk by, (no trees, lots of idling cars) and the outdoor seating area is surrounded by the drive through line.

Double cheeseburger 🍔 was decent. Not near the best but not as bad as I expected for a first timer to Sonic. The waitstaff was very friendly. Food service was fairly prompt. The Chicago dog 🌭 was obviously not like an authentic one BUT... it certainly did well for a fast food copycat. Had all the fixings and trimmings from the poppy seed bun to the sport peppers and neon green relish, only thing missing was the( I could be wrong but I didn't taste any) celery salt. Had everything else on it though and as a native Midwesterner, I did appreciate it. Haven't eaten enough here to give a thorough analysis but for now they're decent. I'd try em again.

Grilled cheese cheeseburger not at all like they picture it! Very disappointed as I'm not a big burger fan. Besides very little cheese and being soggy, all the condiments (which I wasn't expecting) were bunched in the very middle of the sandwich. Husband's burger was not correct, but they were very happy to fix it quickly.

Ordered through the kiosk outside. Waited for our food for an hour. Drinks looked like they were sitting. Food was good, staff was friendly.

Tots are good. We got the Sonic booster with cookie dough - they are generous with the bits and the small was already pretty sizeable. Didn’t like that the staff took away our credit card (didn’t know if it’d get duplicated), rather than having us tap on a machine - maybe it’s an American thing.

Horrible went today and was trying to order good it seemed like the lady taking my order didn't know what she was doing at all at one point asl how do you make that. So I just canceled the food order and ordered a drink and she seems not to know what to do. I have no idea if she was new or still in training but the fact that no one was there to help her and it was almost lunch time is nuts.

The Food was PRE-COOKED & DRY. This location in Buffalo, NY has decided to cook all the burger meat patties at once, then assemble the sandwich once the customer orders a burger. Disgusting!! Dry like eating powder!

The service at this location sucks. The food is still good (or at least the food I usually buy, i.e. ice cream, pretzels, slushes, etc.), but the amount of time you spend waiting in line is ridiculous. Hell, you could be one of the only people at the location, and you still aren't a priority to these people. What are they doing in there, rocket science? Tiktok dances? Just go to the Union Road location: it has nicer people who provide quicker service and have easier access and parking.

My Wife and I each had a junior chicken sandwich. The chicken was dry and overcooked. The blueberry lavender lemonade tasted watered down. We ordered online and arrived about 15 minutes later and still waited another 10-15 minutes for our order. Although it was a take- out order, we noticed that the tile floor in the seating area looked clean but was very slippery like it had a layer of grease or oil film on it.

On June 23, 2025 at 10:00 p.m. I order chicken tender combo, requested ranch sauce... was giving incorrect sauce as well as my strawberry lemonade drink was horrible 😩. I will not return to this Sonic they need to work on this restaurant taste of food and beverage

Visited this location for the first time and was not impressed. I ordered the most expensive item on the menu, the double patty burger with bacon. The burger, with only one strip of bacon, was very greasy and had no pickles, relish, mustard, or ketchup, so it tasted like eating beef and cheese only. The chicken bites, although expensive, were pretty good. Very overpriced establishment, and I would not recommend or return.

Forgot the redbull in my dragon fruit redbull refresher. Tastes like straight up soda water. $6 for a medium. :(

First they brought out our children's kids meals and told us well this one here doesn't have a fry. . So we're like why does one not have a fry. Then they give us all cheeseburgers with only ketchup when only one of the 3 were suppose to be only ketchup and they gave us a burger for an adult meal that was suppose to be chicken. We got the chicken sandwich and to top everything else off they gave a MOLDY hotdog bun. This is absolutely disgusting. Not only was our order completely wrong but they're serving MOLD!!

Crew was far more interested in screwing around and laughing with kids climbing on the hood of a car and filming for TikTok or whatever through the drive through. My order was forgotten about and served to me cold, in a very short manner and without any apology - I guess they were more important to attend to? Attendant skated away before I could even finish my sentence to ask for a manager. Franchise doesn't seem to care, corporate doesn't seem to care either and punted me back to the franchise. I am completely awestruck at how this has become acceptable. Looking forward to sharing the video and story anytime someone mentions fast food.

The young lady (blondis brown dray wig , with the headband to keep her edges down) in the drive through was very rude as always. Food was cold and missing items. I asked for it all to be remade and it again came back cold. I requested the manager, I literally waited 5 minutes and left. I called the store to speak with a manger. A guy identified himself as tge general manager but refused to give his name. He then placed me on hold I called the Union Road store to request a manager. I am.awaiting a call from "Jesse the VP".

I swear I was at McDonald's! I went through the drive thru, I had to give the order twice (1 sm plain sonic blast with whipped topping, 1 lg chocolate chip cookie dough blast with whip topping). Not at all difficult, you would think. Well the car in front of me was at the window for longer than it should have been. So they brought my order to the car. I said that's not my order, so I repeated the order again. I finally get to the window and the girl reads off my order and tells me the cost. I said that's not what I ordered. Repeating my order yet again and having to wait longer, my small sonic ended up being half of a small, the large sonic was more like a medium and both was missing the whipped topping. I was charged full price for half an order.

Double charged my credit card because they did not know, or know how to train employees on how to use POS system. They claimed the double charge would be sent back to my card the next day. It has been 10 days since that and the money has not been returned. I have tried to call and speak with the manager but every time I call I get a bunch of attitude and I’m told I’ll be called back by a certain time. That call never comes. I am going to consider the non return of my funds as theft at this point and handle it accordingly. Beware.

This was the second time going for a banana strawberry milk shake at the Elmwood location. No banana very little strawberry. I will never spend another penny there. Never get what you ordered and if that is bad enough it’s over $7.00 just for the milkshake. I can’t even give it any stars.

Worst dining experience I ever had. I have had Chicago hot dogs in Chicago Sonic should not call their hot-dog a Chicago hot dog it is nowhere near a hot dog it was more of a bun then anything hard to find a hot dog in the bun. The Ice-T was more ice than tea. The french fries had no flavor. Worst fast-food meal I have ever eaten. Would never try anything there again it was awful

I deliver food from here a couple times and it always takes so long. Some of us delivers be here for 40 mins plus. The staff just be walking around, going outside, being loud, and so lazy. It's so ridiculous. I also had some food here once and was disappointed everything was nasty. Rather get food from the sonic in Cheektowaga than this one.

Went through the drive-through ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon on it was charged $10.98 when I got home and open my bag I had a single cheeseburger with bacon on it as I said they charged me $10.98 for a single cheeseburger with bacon on it when I called the restaurant trying to get my change, returned to me they couldn't answer the phone so I left a message. No one ever returned the call This place sucks and no one seems to know what they are doing!!!!

I pressed the red button to order the food and waited about ten minutes to be told I’ll be right with you. 4 cars pulled up a few minutes after me and I continued to wait 15 minutes before I pressed the red button again because they were taking all the other car orders that got there after me. When the girl began to take my order she started with an attitude and began tu rush me as if image was frustrated, probably because it was busy, wanted to go home or just wasn’t trying to take accountability to her actions. I explained to her please stop rushing me. She became loud and angry and cursing in the background as James took over. I explained what happened to James and he took my order and apologized and made me aware that Elbe didn’t know what was going on. He finished my order. A few minutes later the girl that took my order came out to bring my order and she tried to justify her actions and say it’s busy and we always rush people and that’s to bad have a bette attitude she stated with the rolling of the eyes and smack of lips. She had glasses on. She came to my car trying to press me when in fact that could have turned in a whole different direction. The customers in the other car got out and said to me that the employee was wrong and unprofessional. She said I handled it correct and she can’t believe she came out to try to press me in an unprofessional manner. The other customer advised me to call corporate and speak to a manager and a district manager because it wasn’t her first rodeo. Very disappointed. It was my first time there and honestly with the guests relations are handled I don’t think I’d like to return. Teach your employees interpersonal skills. Teach them what’s right and wrong and accountability.

Should have read the reviews, but I didn't since I've been here before. Ordered a combo meal and a oreo shake, never got the drink that should have come with the shake. The young lady at the window was so rude, in a rush and just seemed not to understand a word that I was saying so I asked for my receipt to leave and she asked me if I wanted a receipt. I decided to call and speak to a manager, spoke to Dejaun who claimed to bea manager, which I doubt is the truth. His bad attitude was present as soon as he answered the phone. Before I could tell him what the problem was he stated, "I'm sorry I don't know why that happened to you". This statement confused me since nothing happened to me. I wanted to know why I didn't get my combo beverage, I was charged $3 for the orwo shake which is the normal price for after 8pm so I should have still received a drink. He did offer me to come all the way back and get a shake, I never wanted a shake since I already had one. I wanted a regular drink that I should have gotten. Had he not been in such a rush to finish playing in the back with co-workers and friends maybe he could have employed some type of customer service skills and problem resolution techniques or better yet maybe Sonic could hire people who actually want to work and do a good job. Next time we will just go to checkers because Sonic is not it.

I’m completely fed up with this place. My girlfriend and I mainly needed a drink and wanted to order on DoorDash, we were already upset that the drinks were like $7 for adding “real cherries” in the drink and then the food gets here and there’s no drinks. I like the food at sonic but I have not enjoyed a single time going, I’ve actually cried almost every time because something is always either forgotten or undercooked and it’s extremely frustrating when I feel like it’s just me. I’ve been trying to give you guys chance after chance to redeem yourself and it just gets worse honestly. My girlfriend was having a terrible day and your lack of competence has made it even worse. Thank you so much for making me realize I should never give any restaurant a second chance in my life. I will be paying a visit to speak to the manager tomorrow.

want to say the crew on 1-20-23 at 11:30pm is the worst. Not only did I get over charged and couldn’t get a receipt. But also couldn’t get my order correct. Also missed part of my order it was a #6 cinnamon stacks and a chocolate shake. $20.06

First and last time at Sonic while visiting the US for a shopping trip with my youngest daughter. While the employees were nice and courteous, and the waitress brought our food while on roller skates (so cool - old school), the food was terrible. Not for me.

Don't waste your money. Food was extremely greasy, too the point we all got sick from it. Had a steak sub, roll was soaked in oil, disgusting. Onions rings tasted like they were dipped in cake batter, very sweet. French fries under cooked. My granddaughter couldn't eat the chicken tenders grossly greasy. My son's garlic butter burger was nothing but saturated in garlic butter, upset his stomach immensely. I had never tried Sonic before. Commercials looked good so we figured we'd give it a shot. Never again, total waste of money and as I said with the grease on, in everything we all ended up with sick stomachs. Worse $45 I ever spent.

Ordered a Classic Strawberry Milkshake. I received a vanilla shake with maybe one tablespoon of strawberry on the bottom. It was never mixed. Understanding things happen, I brought it back inside and asked if it could be corrected. I was given a smug look then she took it in the back and "fixed". Didn't fix anything. All she did was "mix" what I gave her. I gave up when she brought me out the same shake I gave her. No need to make a scene because of terrible service. It's better to just never go back to this establishment then to yell. I've been to the on on Union Rd in Cheektowaga plenty of times. This is the only type of milkshake I get there. Basically, don't expect great service here or expect you're order to be correct.

I tried this place a few times with co workers and it always takes forever to get the food. The counter is always abandoned and when someone does come out to take orders or in my case give me my mobile order they seem annoyed. We were supposed to pick it up at 11:27 it's now 11:42 and I am still waiting.

Ordered two drinks at 10:45pm, one a literal flavored water, waited 20 minutes, pressed the button to ask, got told that we would get them in a moment, proceeded to wait another 10 minutes. So by then it’s 11:17 and we still didn’t get our drinks. Ended up just leaving and didn’t get our drinks. If we get a better experience next time then I’ll be more inclined to give a better review but for now, cmon guys. Two drinks, and other cars got there and left with more while we waited. :/

Went through the drive thru, when I got home I didn’t have all the items that I paid for and the food was cold. They weren’t busy either. Will never go back to this location.

they messed up our orders multiple times and kept giving us the wrong items. and then they started mopping the floor, and it was soaking wet, and we all almost slipped on the floor.

I went through the drive through and ordered two cheese burgers two fries and a large cherry “slush”. I got the food home and it was disgusting! The burger meat tasted like it had gone bad. We threw the food out and called immediately. They referred me to a 1-800 number and I called that. Someone FINALLY called me back weeks later. I explained the whole situation and told them I’d like my money back. They told me NO! They offered me “credit for more sonic”. I declined as I’d NEVER put my family at risk by going there again! I find it horrible, when money is so tight for families that they would down right refuse a full refund! This place should be shut down!

Would give 0 stars if I could. Found a hair in my burger. Will never eat here again

My friend and I came here from Canada because we heard great things. Found crushed up plastic in my Oreo Blast after I already swallowed a bite. Brought it to a workers attention and they made a new one. I asked for a refund and they refused saying they are understaffed and trying to go home. Manager rudely and impatiently tossed two $5 off vouchers at me for next time. Do not eat here! It is not a safe or pleasant place to eat.

Do not go here. They are artificially keeping their times down and will forget your order. The service is some of the worst I've ever experienced. I ordered my food ahead about 5 minutes before arriving. When I got there I arrived at a stall and checked in as you should. The order appeared on screen and once it was "on the way" it was removed. After about 15 minutes of waiting for my food I gave up and went inside. I waited at the front counter for 10 minutes trying to get anyone to get my food for me. finally someone helped and got me the food I had asked for that was supposed to be delivered to me at the stall. Of course my fries were cold and my shake was melted. Additionally my drink that I had customized did not have the customization I'd asked for in it. I went back inside to remedy it but couldn't get anyone after 5 minutes so I said screw it. The absolute worst customer service experience I've had at any restaurant. Go here only if you want your order to be forgotten somewhere because they're trying to keep their times artificially low.

The staff always sound miserable or angry when they take my order. The food here is normally way over priced but occasionally they offer deals. I have been visiting because of the $2 coney deal and the $2 quarter pound double Cheeseburger deal they had. The coneys have so little cheese on top of them. I recently visited and my coneys were charred and were presented to me sideways. All the toppings ended up not on the hot dog. The staff should be replaced. So many bad experiences here I will look for a new sonic to visit.
