Estuvimos super bien atendidos, el servicio es muy atento a todo, cuidando todo tipo de detalles que te hacen sentir como en casa. La comida un espectáculo, aquí os enseño lo que nos pedimos y os explico brevemente porque deberías pedir lo mismo… Los buñuelos de bacalao: Yo no soy muy fan de ellos pero al ser la especialidad de la casa le di una oportunidad, llevaban un all-i-oli dulce espectacular, el mejor que he probado en mi vida Mejillones al vino blanco: Si te gustan los mejillones este entrante no puede faltar en tu comida/ cena Calamares: Estaban super tiernos acompañados por unas verduras muy blanditas que todo junto era un espectáculo El pescado del día: En este caso fue merluza ya que cada día es un tipo de pescado distinto ya que es salvaje de Roses (ellos mismos lo pescan). Antes de servirlo te enseñan el producto y cuando lo ves ya sabes que vas a disfrutar con cada trozo, muy recomendado Paella marinera: Un acierto de todas todas, una calidad espectacular, posiblemente sea uno de los mejores que haya probado nunca y venía llenito de gambas, mejillones y trocitos de pescado. TOTALMENTE RECOMENDADO Helado de chocolate y frambuesa: El helado es casero y es para flipa, merece la pena dejar el rinconcito para el postre El lugar es encantador, se accede a el por una callecita muy estrecha llena de encanto y cuando subes al comedor quedas alucinado por lo bonito que es. Muy buena elección y un aplauso para los camareros y chef que hicieron un trabajo excelente

De visita por el pueblo decidimos comer aquí,precio de un menú 28 euros sin bebida,bueno,la zona de por si es muy cara muy dirigida a turistas sobre todo franceses,por lo menos no comimos mal y buen servicio muy amables y atentos,entre un entrante el vino agua y cafés sales a 180 euros 4 personas,los precios los tienes muy a la vista,vale igual un día laborable que uno festivo.

Restaurante con mucho encanto entre calles de Cadaqués. La carta no ofrece mucha variedad pero se ve todo de muy buena calidad. Tienen sugerencias del día fuera de carta. Nosotros comimos arroz negro y crema catalana de postre. Muy muy bueno todo y las raciones fueron abundantes. Lo recomiendo sin duda para salir de los típicos restaurantes en primera linea de puerto.

Hemos llegado sin reserva y hemos encontrado una mesa para comer, mejor reservar porque estaba bastante lleno y quizás así podéis conseguir las mesas de los balcones. El menú nos ha parecido muy bueno , el carpaccio de atún estaba tan bueno que nos hemos quedado con ganas de más. Cosa que se ha solucionado al llegar la paella, , muy buena y bien surtida de pulpo, pescado, mejillones, gambas, etc. Los postres muy buenos también . El local , la decoración, el espacio entre las mesas y la atención también nos ha gustado. Lo más normal de todo ha sido el café

Fuimos dos noches seguidas. Repetiremos sin duda. Todo riquísimo. Comida súper sana, buena presentación, materia prima de calidad, platos generosos. La primera noche pedimos el menú degustación, totalmente recomendable, los platos no se acaban nunca y todo está tan rico. Mmmm! La segunda noche dos entrantes y un arroz negro, delicioso. Nos trataron muy bien y el sitio nos encantó. De los mejores sitios que recuerde.

Pequeño restaurante en Cadaqués, muy tranquilo y apartado de todo el bullicio de la zona de playa. Nosotros escogimos el menú “descubrimiento” por recomendación de una de las camareras y menudo acierto!! Recorrimos los sabores del mar con unos platos exquisitos!! Recomendable 100%

A charming place serving good local food. It's worth leaving the shoreline and walking a few hundred meters into the city. A beautiful place with soul. The owner's passion is evident. The details make a difference. The food is delicious. The balcony is very charming. I'll share more here.

We absolutely loved it! Both of us parents had the tasting menu and boy… that was AMAZING. Quality of the food and portions was really excellent. Kids had the kids menu and were happy. Service was great. Both in English and French. We arrived early and got a “balcony” table which was charming.

The food is incredible. We had the tasting menu and it was so worth it. We tried a drink, 10 different decent sized food items (including paella) and a desert platter for 42€. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant has a nice and relaxing ambient. Can’t recommend enough.

Excellent food, excellent service and perfect place! Wonderful view from the terrass. Kids could play outside on the path after their food as there are no car passing by so we could take our time and enjoy the quality of the sea food and desert. Totally worth it!!!

A delightful boutique Catalan style restaurant. Not many covers, so you need to book. Small but tasty menu. My carpaccio of tuna was perfectly cooked. Done with an eastern influence. Rolled in toasted sesame seeds and a drizzle of Soy-sauce on a bed of perfectly cooked rice mixed very finely cubed vegetables. It was devine. The croquettes of chicken and ham were quite the best we’ve ever had. Almost too many prawns in garlic and olive oil. The Mérou/Grouper was a little too dry, but that’s often the way with that fish. The accompanying various peppers were superbly grilled and very tasty. Clever use of the blow torch to crisp up otherwise boring tomato skin. Even the friendly waiter knew we wouldn’t have room for desert. The accompanying Catalonian wine was delicious as was the coffee. A very special find and worth a revisit.

Greatest experience while in beautiful Cadaqués. I had no interest on sitting in the pricey restaurants by the coast so I found this gem in the middle of the streets back in the village. The ambience is something else, the tables by the balcony are charming. The paella well cooked, pretty good. The fresh tuna we tried as a starter was also a hit. Everything great. Daily menu is around 25 eu each.

Very good food quality. I highly recommend to call to book a table, otherwise will be difficult to find a free table, at least during summer season. I also think it's amazing they are "pets friendly", and you can go inside with your furry friends. Staff very friendly and very good service. They have daily menu with good price. At the end, the manager even invite us with a really good shot of limincello before we leave!! We will come back again with our dog!!

Lo descubrimos por reseñas. Muy acertado , en una callecita cerca de la bahia. La calidad de la comida es excelente, con pescado fresco. Pedimos buñuelos de bacalao que estaban riquisimos y como plato principal arroz con gamba roja muy rico. Quizas los postres un poco flojos, la crema catalana bien pero no espectacular y el brownie tenia muy buena textura pero lleva como un acompañamiento un poco acido. Recomendable.

El restaurante es muy cuco, con un ambiente familiar y acogedor. Hemos elegido el menú, con entrante de carpaccio de atún que estaba muy rico. El arroz estaba bueno, pero me faltó sabor. Las copas de vino a 5€ me parecen demasiado caras porque vienen cortas. La crema catalana estaba muy rica. Está bien pero no repetiría.

Pedimos los buñuelos de bacalao (estaban muy ricos), las sardinas (iban fuera de carta, buenas pero sin más), tataki de atún (sin más, tirando a soso...). Con un par de cervezas, 48,79€. A mi parecer caro, y quizá no elegimos lo más rico, pero me defraudó un poquillo... La atención bien y el sitio también.

We had really high hopes for this place, but looking back at the experience, we were disappointed. The service was alright - the lady on the phone was helpful and friendly, and met us warmly at the restaurant. Our server seemed a bit absent-minded (like putting both of our plates in front of one person and leaving them), but charming and in a good mood. The place itself is cozy - if you book early, be sure to ask for a balcony table! After all the splendid reviews, we wanted to try their paella. Following a recommendation from our server, we chose the squid ink one. What a mistake :( On the positive side, it was served beautifully, the whole experience of it getting to our table was like a separate show! And yet the taste was overpoweringly salty and too fish-y. Based on my after-the-fact research, this could have been due to the squid ink; but if that's the case it would have been nice to know in advance. It's not uncommon to doublecheck with the customer if they know what they're signing up for. To make matters worse, both of us felt queasy after an hour or two, and this feeling lasted into the other day as well. And neither of us could even think of eating seafood again on this trip - what a shame in Costa Brava! The saddest part is that I'm pretty sure that had we chosen the "regular" paella, the review would have been totally different. And yet, we're not tempted to try.

Too expensive for what it is, very good service and team though. Some of the dishes were nice but other were not. Some were too “overdone”, anchoas are perfect by themselves, we didn’t find the fish that tasty. Gambas and carabineros were good, sardinas too and tuna as well. Also VAT is not included in the prices, first time I see this in Europe.

The staff for some reason was ignoring us, the food was not that great, and the price was pretty high. The place is cute and small, and we felt like 2nd class citizens. If you want to eat well, be treated with respect and not pay too much for your food, don't go El Balconet. there is plenty of other options.

Lovely setting and friendly staff – the evening started off very well. Unfortunately, the chef’s tasting menu didn’t live up to expectations. We had opted to let the kitchen decide and were looking forward to sampling a bit of everything, but the concept felt poorly thought through. There was no information about how many dishes would be served; instead, we were expected to say “stop” when we were full. This created uncertainty – should we finish everything on the plate or hold back in case something better came along? In our case, the delicious prawns arrived last, after a far-too-large portion of zucchini soup and an excess of deep-fried croquettes, which we would gladly have swapped places with. The small piece of tuna served at the beginning was tasty but far too small. Of the nine dishes we were served, only four featured fish or seafood – surprisingly few for a seafood restaurant. Unfortunately, it gave the impression that the restaurant was trying to fill us up early, so they wouldn’t have to serve the better dishes. We really appreciated the atmosphere and the service, but the overall food experience left quite a bit to be desired.

Ordered the seafood paellla and mussels. Mussels were very fishy, not very plump or fresh in taste. The Paella was good but very very salty. Ordered 2 glasses of wine and felt honestly scammed. I ordered a Chardonnay and was told that only the last listed can be ordered by the glass? But when my partner ordered another white (last on list), he was recommended to choose another kind — not how the menu shows it. This goes into the waitstaff. The older gentleman was charming and kind, so I’m sorry to write this. The dark haired younger waiter unfortunately was the one who helped us. He was rude from the start despite us having a reservation. I suspect he recommended the wine to my partner to take advantage of the last pour of an old opened bottle. My partner does not drink much wine and I didn’t taste his until after he ok’d it, but when I did, I immediately saw there was sediment at the bottom and the wine was watery and had been left out far too long. Both wines were disappointing. At the end of the meal, the waiter came and just plopped the card reader on our table with the receipt and left? He didn’t even input an amount leaving us confused as to what was going on. He came back later with a weird sigh and input it for us. Really subpar experience. I have to wonder why we were treated so disrespectfully. Was it because we were a young Asian couple? Was it because we were tourists? But you have an English menu? Who knows because honestly everyone else thus far had been so kind. Definitely recommending against this place to other travelers for the subpar food paired with extraordinarily hostile waiter.

We chose the prix fixe menu option. The salad and dessert were good but the paella was awful. We won't be going back there again.
