Their pot stickers are the best I've ever tried - juicy, fresh, tasty! Their service is super friendly and the delivery is efficient. Always coming here when I'm in the area!!
We had dinner here. Service was WONDERFUL! Believe it or not the food was EVEN BETTER!!!!!! I've eaten here before and the food is ALWAYS GOOD. Good prices, quality of service and food were EXCELLENT! Can't wait until my next visit!!!!!!
Thank you for always taking care of us! Your food is great and service is always with a smile.
Great Chinese food, with optional vegan “chicken” substitutes. Service is great, and the place is clean. There are a lot of dessert choices as well including boba, and an Oreo milkshake exceeds expectations. This place reminds me of the local mom and pop Chinese places I ate at on the East coast.
So good!!! Egg Foo Young, Hong Kong style noodles, and wanton soup were all great. Visited from out of the area and realized there's not much food delivery available (this was the only nearby place that seemed to have it). Tried it out and we were happy we did! They communicated well about the delivery, and the food was fresh and so tasty. The deliverer brought it up to the hotel room and everything and even included a couple to-go plates, bowls, and utensils knowing we were in a hotel. Didn't even consider that personally, but so glad that they did! Amazing customer service and cooks. Thank you!
This place is a hidden gem!! The closest Chinese food plus delicious food near for college students. I come here often with friends for dine in or also takeout. The staff is always friendly and helpful! They accept Apple Pay as well! It is a small space but that’s not really an issue for me.
I've always loved this restaurant ever since I was a kind. Good food, filling and the strawberry shake with regular boba is the best I've ever had. I also love their plain chow mien.
What a treat! Excellent service, felt very homey, and hospitable. The restaurant was clean. Clearly owned by a local family, which was so nice to see. And the food was truly delicious!!! And I'm not just talking small town good, I'm talking absolutely delicious. As good as the best American style Chinese food I've had anywhere else. The chicken was clearly fresh and tasted like it was from a good source, battered lightly and so it was crunchy and not too chewy or starchy. Perfect. The broth on the wonton soup was nice and clean with fresh vegetables. The mooshu was also very fresh tasting with just enough crispiness in the veggies. Yum! It all felt and tasted fresh. Highly recommend, I will definitely be returning.
I truly enjoy this family owned and operated restaurant. There food is great and they will accommodate your preferences as long as you ask with no hassle. Highly recommend it to everyone visiting Calistoga. BTW their orange beef is to die for!
Amazing Chinese food. Fresh ingredients daily. Hot n sour soup is the best I've ever had.
It's the only Chinese place in town, I think, but luckily it's a great one! We very much enjoyed the large dishes of delicious food, appreciated the attentive service from 3 generations of family, happily sat outside, and it was no problem to get it all vegan. And the lychee drink was sweet but good and satisfying.
My favorite place in Calistoga, and one of my Chinese restaurants, period.
Great restaurant! Very generous portions and reasonable prices. Their lunch specials are a terrific value! Food is excellent. We had orange chicken and prawns with mixed vegetables. Wonderful find in Calistoga! Service was fast and polite.
Love this place!! Their salt and pepper chicken is my favorite and their BBQ pork fried rice is super tasty too. I also appreciate that they deliver to my job at a local winery in Calistoga!
Clean, fast, fresh and friendly. First time in, only had the fried rice this time. WILL BE BACK FOR MORE. Place seemed family run which was awesome. The fried rice was on point, great flavor and texture made with fresh, vibrant, crisp veggies.
Classic Chinese food. Great deals all around. Nothing better than wor wonton soup 🍲 on a rainy day! 🌧 delivery always on time.
Delicious Chinese food! I had the crispy ginger chicken. I loved that it was not super breaded but you can actually taste the chicken. We ordered pork potstickers, fried rice and Szechuan pork and it was all fabulous. Service was prompt and servers were very kind. Great place!
Nice little Chinese restaurant in town. Fast service. The waitress is very friendly and recommend us to have the fried chicken. Will come back to this.
Ordered the ginger chicken and made it a combo and got hot & sour soup and egg rolls & steamed rice (not shown) should have shared! SOOO GOOD. Soup had sooo much flavor. I finished every bit. Ginger chicken was amazing!
Fast service. A lot of food for the price. Food is really good. Compared to PF changs, I like the hot and sour soup and chow main here better. Service is good and flavor is outstanding. Only reason I gave it 5 stars. In a place where u compete against luxury and other fancy restaurants. This is a great bargain with great flavor.
We felt so cozy eating dinner at this family style restaurant. Delicious Chinese food. Big portions Exquisite service They make the wontons on site. Humble family runs this special restaurant.
Typical but tasty Chinese food, at a reasonable price (especially for Calistoga!) Lots of vegetarian and pescatarian options (as well as vegan and gluten free possibilities) I had the Szechuan eggplant lunch special... yum!
Easy going and unassuming ambiance. Food is excellent. My favorite dish is the King Pao Chicken, the hint of ginger in the sauce is so delicious! I also love their egg flower soup.
Greeted at the door by friendly staff wearing a mask, I decided to dine in. I ordered a curry chicken dinner with a couple cans of diet Coke. Gotta make an effort somewhere, right? Small but clean restroom was stocked well and has an air dryer to eliminate waste. Returned to my seat and food came shortly thereafter. I posted a photo of the curry chicken. It was tasty, and not overpoweringly spicy so ask for spicy if that's how you prefer it. Mine was just the way I like it. A couple came in to get a Togo order and I recommended the curry chicken and they got an order of that and something else, so yes I would and already DID recommend it. I live in Florida but if I ever get up here again I would definitely eat here again. Thanks for the tasty meal and fond memory, Soo Yuan!

Absolutely delicious food, very nice and friendly staff, and a great, intimate atmosphere.
Good option for Chinese food in Calistoga. The sautéed mixed vegetables were tender crisp and flavorful. The mapo tofu was freshly prepared. All food was served very hot, straight from the kitchen. Friendly, attentive service.
So tasty! Authentic flavor and excellent wok hei. I miss living nearby. The kung pao chicken and family style tofu is exceptional!
Their lunch special is a great deal with amazing portions! Food is very flavorful, and the staff is very kind! Ordered togo and was ready fairly quickly
Food was amazing. Everything was flavorful. Portion sizes were perfect. Service was great.
Excellent quick service, food tasted amazing, big portions. Quiet hideaway in the middle of busy shops
Had take out today. Really good door and friendly staff.

During our visit to Calistoga, we were in search of food options that catered to my gluten and dairy sensitivity. On a Tuesday, we stumbled upon Soo Yuan restaurant, which displayed multiple signs indicating "gluten-free options available." However, to our disappointment, the restaurant was closed that day. Undeterred, we returned the following day, Wednesday, and were promptly seated by a courteous server who was attentive to our inquiries. I opted for the house special fried rice, a delightful combination of BBQ pork, shrimp, chicken, and various meats. While the taste was satisfactory, I felt it could have been seasoned a tad more. Additionally, I ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings, making sure to confirm their gluten-free status with the server. After checking with the chef, she informed me that they were not GF due to the batter but that they could make them GF for me. When the wings came out, I could immediately see that they were battered. I am grateful that I double-checked, as the wings were taken back to the kitchen, and the chef kindly prepared a gluten-free version without the batter. The chicken wings turned out to be hot, juicy, and flavorful. Despite the initial mishap with the battered wings, my overall experience at Soo Yuan was positive. The restaurant staff was accommodating, and the quality of the food, aside from the minor seasoning adjustment, met my expectations
Everything they make is delicious. The water, horrible city water.
Good American-style Chinese food, with plenty of vegetarian options. Fast and friendly service. The interior is a bit worn and could use an update. Some of the dishes were a bit sauce heavy but flavors were quite good.
Food was good veggie fried rice no egg vegan chicken with general spicy sauce. It was a lil pricey but it’s good good flavor.

The food tastes great and you get good portions for the price, the place claims that they are open on Sundays when online but they are closed Sundays.
Food was hot and made fresh. Very large menu with fusion options that don’t taste like their namesake. Had kung pao chicken and pad thai - both tasted good enough but neither were remotely close to what those items should be from a flavour perspective. Also gave me the wrong soup. My recommendation is that they focus on what they are good at and remove items from the menu that they can’t accurately represent.
We went here for lunch one afternoon. I ordered the an eggplant dish that had too much sauce. Others with me ordered beef with broccoli and a shrimp dish. The hot and sour soup was not good and therefore not eaten at all by my friend. My other friend wanted to order soup but changed his mind after seeing the first soup that came. There seemed to be just 1 lady working all tables and the front entry, which made it difficult to get her attention for the things we needed like placing our orders, chopsticks, napkins, and the bill.
Every time we go tour calistoga we ate here. ... It's a good chinese food. ... dine in or out. ... The service was friendly and good. ... The food was great and lots of varieties to choose from. ... Price is also good. ... We always have a good diner here. ...
The ambiance is classic 1970's big city skid row, but worth the effort to get there just to see it. The dining room is as skinny as that girl you knew in high school that later died from starvation, but had adequate table spacing. They did have outside seating available but we chose to sit inside to get the full effect of the smells and noise of the kitchen. The service was spot on and the food was just okay. Cashew Chicken with Chow Mein were eatable but the fried rice had a flavor of old oil, not good. The Lemon Chicken had good flavor but was dry. It's the only Chinese restaurant in Calistoga so they've got a monopoly for those that all the sudden crave Chinese. The next time we're in Calistoga and crave Chinese we'll grab a seat in a Mexican restaurant.

We were underwhelmed, especially after asking a local resident who works at the nearby museum for a restaurant recommendation. We found the flavors lacking. Bland. The ambiance is more of a take-out shop and it was not cool inside on a hot day. The next time we are in Calistoga, we will pass on this place. We parked close to the museum and then walked over which was convenient.
We had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Don't go here unless you want to eat last week's old food.
The food gets worse every time I order from this place. Ingredients are obviously frozen and bought in bulk from some not very good vendors. It has steadily gone downhill since before COVID. I threw out the food from my last two attempts at ordering delivery. I won’t be ordering again. Ever!
The WORST Chinese “food” ever. These guys don’t know what Chinese food is or customer service. Extortionate prices and the food doesn’t even come with the appropriate sides like rice with entrees-that’s another $4. We weren’t told of this and got takeout and only discovered when we got back to our place. The quality of the chicken is horrid-I couldn’t even eat it as it was full of chewy cartilage-gross! When I phoned and brought this to his attention he said he had nothing to do with it and didn’t care at all. Spend your money elsewhere in Calistoga.
It was a Monday evening @5pm, so maybe that's why I had a horrible experience... If you see that as a flimsy excuse, then feel free to keep reading. I ordered Take Out - Sweet & Sour Pork (Burnt and painfully crunchy even after drowning a couple pieces in the tiny amount of sauce they gave us) Beef Chow Mein (A soggy mushy mess, that felt like trying to chew watery dough) Hot & Sour Soup (No flavor, might as well have been broth) and Pan Fried Dumplings (Same doughy mess, but with a little more flavor) All of which came to a little over $40.00 after the tip, which felt like a mistake after tasting what they gave us. Both of the people I dealt with at the counter seemed quite irritable, and VERY dismissive of me no matter how pleasant I tried to be with them. I spent years in Asia, and I absolutely love Chinese food. Both authentic from Hong Kong, and state side restaurants too. But I have never tasted anything this bad, and the service was worse than a TacoBell at a mall food court. I'm all for second chances and giving the benefit of the doubt... But I don't think I'll ever go back to this place. Soo Yuan is not on par with the level of service and food you would expect from an upscale wine country tourist town.
I asked for a low-sugar smoothie, the lady said yes I can do it, it's the sweetest smoothie I've ever tasted! I have the impression that he did it with that intention, I don't want to be malicious, but my palate can't stand it, the question of low sugar is because I just take care of my children's diet in sugar consumption
This is the first and last time ordering from this place. Ordered takeout through their own website, and at time of pickup they claimed the price $14.95 was wrong for a combination plate. Charged an additional $13 for 2 egg rolls, 4 fried shrimp and 4 Rangoon($27.95 for an appetizer). They scammed my spouse because I made the order but they did the pickup for me. How would I have a confirmation number if my online transaction didn't go through?! The food wasn't even worth it in the end. Learn from me, save your money, and support better Calistoga businesses.
Ill start by saying I've eaten here for years. Since the parents ran this place. Food was always outstanding. 👌 Yesterday I ordered $100 worth of take out and my sweet and sour chicken was so burnt it was literally black. How they actually had the nerve to serve that ill never know. I took food back for the first time in my life. They happily remade it stating "new cook" but the remake was almost raw. The fried rice also had raw broccoli in it. What the heck happened to this place?
