If happiness had an address, I’m pretty sure it would be Sue's Gallery Cafe. I stopped in thinking I’d act like a calm, mature adult who just wanted a coffee. Instead, I immediately forgot how to behave the moment I saw the pastry case. I made the kind of eye contact with a scone that usually only happens in romantic movies. The cafe itself feels like the cool, artsy friend you wish you had in high school, effortlessly stylish but not intimidating. There’s art everywhere, cozy seating, and the kind of atmosphere that tricks you into believing you are a creative person. I seriously considered starting a novel while I was there. The coffee woke me up so effectively that for about 20 minutes I believed I could run a marathon, learn French, and reorganize my entire closet. I did none of those things, but it was nice to feel capable. Also, can we talk about how dangerous it is to order “just one thing”? That is a fantasy. A myth. A bedtime story we tell ourselves. You WILL leave with at least two treats and zero regrets. Overall review: Came for coffee → stayed for vibes → left questioning why I don’t live closer. Highly recommend… unless you’re trying to "be on a diet" or avoid emotional attachment to pastries.
A cozy spot nestled by the Saratoga mountains. I’ve watched it grown over the years and it’s a truly incredible space. Great place to spot some nice cars too!
My favorite cafe in the area serving phenomenal cream puffs and coffee. We’re very picky about the way our coffee is made and it’s done really well every time we’re here. Best cream puffs in the Bay Area, highly recommend. The space has lots of seating, indoors and outdoors. There’s a secondary space next door to the service area with tables and chairs for working. Lots of ceramic pieces on display in the gallery. Plugs are available if you sit near one. It can get busy on weekends, but the traffic comes and goes. Service is great, staff are very nice. Easy access to restrooms and parking.
Boosting the stars on this place — they deserve more! Service was quick and friendly. Super cute ambiance, great vibes on a Saturday morning. :) I had the spinach feta pastry (simple and delicious) and my partner had the GF rose pistachio cake… yum! Such a uniquely flavored treat for breakfast. The baristas clearly know what they’re doing; my cappuccino was perfectly crafted and the Gesha pour over was *muah* chefs kiss!
Handcrafted drinks in a nice setting with plenty of seats and tables. You also get to drink out of one-of-a-kind pieces of cups made by Sue. Internet is slow, but that's probably Comcast's fault. I enjoyed my charcoal ube. It was a bit warm inside (we sat at gallery side, as it was busy). Great place to do bit of reading, some work, or have a pastry. Sold out of croissants when we got here on the weekend.
I came here to meet up with a friend, and it turned out to be a great spot. The place is cozy and everything feels well thought out. We asked the staff for a recommendation and tried the charcoal coffee. It was rich, not too sweet, and really smooth. The flavor was unique and easy to enjoy. The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. I also tried matcha granola for the first time in my life. I had it hot, and it was surprisingly good. Warm, earthy, and just the right texture. They also have a lot of beautifully presented pastries, and I asked for something not too sweet just the right balance. There are other light breakfast options too, like wakota toast and some vegan dishes, which all tasted great and felt healthy. The only downside is that it gets really crowded on weekends. We had to wait quite a while for a seat, and after we sat down, others were already waiting for our table. There’s a good amount of seating quiet corners for working, a central area, and a little outdoor patio but still, weekends are busy. It was also a bit noisy outside because of a bunch of motorcyclists riding through the usually quiet town. Definitely not the café’s fault, just one of those “welcome to America” moments. It’s a such cool and chill place for coffee, conversation, working, or just having some time alone.
I absolutely loved my visit to Sue’s Cafe! I ordered the charcoal latte and strawberry shortcake! Both were amazing. The latte had the perfect balance of nutty and sweet flavors without being overpowering, and the cake was incredibly soft and delicious. The staff were so kind and welcoming, and the peaceful, calming atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back!🌱☕️
Sue's has the best coffee.. aromatic, full of flavor and not acidic. 💯 Our drinks (matcha latte and cappuccino) were made perfectly, and the outdoor setting is exactly where you want to hang on a beautiful day like today. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely coming back!
Great coffee, pastry could be better but maybe my expectation was too high visiting from Montreal.
Giving this place extra stars because it truly deserves them. The service was fast and genuinely friendly, and the space itself is adorable with great Saturday-morning vibes. I ordered the spinach feta pastry—simple, warm, and really tasty—while my partner tried the gluten-free rose pistachio cake, which was such a unique and delicious breakfast treat. You can tell the baristas are skilled pros: my cappuccino was perfectly balanced, and the Gesha pour-over was flawless. Total chef’s kiss. ☕✨
I liked the atmosphere of this café and its location is nice. However, the presentation lacked attention to detail. The espresso was served without a spoon, and the sparkling water came in a paper cup. I also came specifically for the affogato and was surprised to find out they no longer offer it. That said, the staff were wonderful. I especially appreciated the barista who prepared my second drink — she took care with the latte art after noticing I pay attention to details, even though she mentioned it would be more difficult with oat milk instead of regular milk. Despite the presentation issue, I will definitely come back. It’s still worth revisiting.
This is a cute little coffee spot but the customer service could use some work. It was super busy when I went and I definitely felt rushed to order and they still messed up my drink. The avocado toast wasn’t very good but I did try it at 9am and a strong tomato pesto that early just is not the move and for the price I just felt disappointed. Their raspberry donuts were pretty good though!
There is so much work space here, it is almost unbelievable. Charcoal latte was unique but gritty, although I should’ve completely expected it. I got it with a shot of espresso that didn’t really taste super strongly, but it does come free of charge with this drink if you want it. Their offerings lean a little more expensive and it is a bit diabolical to charge for whole milk… The other drinks and food both look delicious and there is plenty of street parking nearby, as well as a couple of lots.
Very good location but very expensive. Coffee and cheesecake and tip is $20. Limited parking spot. Pumpkin latte is visually good but not hot enough right after served and disappointed. Request to warm coffee and owner served with remade hot latte. Satisfied. It would be wonderful if they serve filtered water, instead of tap water. It smells chlorine on water.
Meeting a colleague in a good setting. This cafe rocks it. Coffee cups were unique in a way and my Americano just had enough caffeine. Wonderful setting with fall foliage outside. The cheesecake was a decent accompaniment for the coffee. Enjoyed the coffee only to realise that there was no picture.
It's a nice cafe to study at with the basics--coffee and snacks. Well kept space, just okay food. We ordered the toast with spread, earl gray milk jam, and yuzu marmalade. For drinks, I got the cold brew. The cold brew felt like 75% crushed ice and some coffee. If you order x2 toast it's essentially 5$ per toast. The flavors for the spread were muted, nothing really stood out for me or popped out. It might be good if you are looking for a light flavor. This place is a good spot for the scenery and maintenance, but I wouldn't go here to eat.
