Cool environment. Amazing food. Love the entertainment. Lambchops and the Ribeye were cooked to perfection. The mussels were a great starter. Fresh shisha. People were celebrating alot of milestones so it was a great atmosphere filled with entertainment and vibes.

This place is absolutely beautiful—you won’t be disappointed. The atmosphere is gorgeous and the vibe is amazing. We had David as our server, and he was top-notch. Outstanding service all around. I’ll definitely stop by every time I’m in Cancun, and I’d love to check out their other locations as well. Great service, great people.

This is place is a great value for your money. Amazing atmosphere, live entertainment, inclusive environment. If you are celebrating a birthday here they know how to do it the right way and bring the energy way high. Fully recommend

I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Taboo restaurant in Cancun! The atmosphere was vibrant, thanks to the live DJ and saxophone, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. The food was outstanding, with an incredible choice between seafood and BBQ steak that left us thoroughly satisfied. The appetizers were equally amazing, setting the tone for the rest of the meal. As a Lebanese, I was particularly impressed with the hookah service, which added a lovely touch to our evening. The presentation of each dish was top-notch, and I can't praise the service enough – it was a solid 10 out of 10! Everything was perfect, making it a night to remember. Highly recommend! Best time to go is by sunset and make your reservation before to avoid waiting time!!

The atmosphere was amazing, very unique, beautiful place. Food was delicious, the steak melted in my mouth! It's expensive, but you get a great meal! Service was excellent!

Having had the best experience, we previously visited Rosa Negra for business reasons but this time we decided to go to Taboo to enjoy a romantic dinner and a unique experience. Everything was a good welcome even from the entrance, the hosts are very friendly at the table, the welcome from the waiter was wonderful the food was delicious, and the drinks were quite good in general. Sorry for not having more photos, but I really enjoyed it so much I didn't take any more! That's a good reason to come back. Gracias por la cena Taboo!

A visit to this restaurant leaves you with a mesmerizing memory! We visited for dinner and words can’t describe the gorgeous sunset you get to experience! While the ambiance of the restaurant is incredible, watching the sunset will leave you speechless! It feels like you are looking at a painting! I’m a huge fan of Mediterranean cuisine and the dishes we tried here were all absolutely amazing! Absolutely recommend 🙌

This place was awesome! My server was amazing, he was very attentive and took very good care of my table. The food was magnificent, literally everything I ate was delicious! The ambience is very dark and intimate since half of the restaurant is outdoors, which is where I recommend people should sit. The weather was warm but not too hot because there was a nice breeze blowing. The entertainment was my favorite part! I highly recommend visiting here when in Cancun. It’s definitely a great way to heat up your nights in Mexico!

Absolutely fantastic service, the staff are friendly, knowledgable and attentive. The food selection was varied and wide and catered to all. Our meal was tasty, flavourful and fresh, the experience that came with it was second to none adding another dimension to the meal. There is plenty going on in the venue to entertain with violin, Sax players and more. Overall a fantastic experience in Cancun.

This restaurant was a truly amazing experience. The food is the best I have had here for fine dining, and they had halal lamb. Everyone was super attentive, helpful and friendly. They even split the food evenly for us instead of just giving an extra plate and letting us do it.

Arriving just before sunset, I was seated right on the water with a front-row view of the golden horizon—absolutely breathtaking. The ambiance was the perfect blend of relaxed, casual, and classy, with cool, artistic décor that gave the space a stylish yet welcoming vibe. The food was outstanding. The Squid Ink Risotto was rich, perfectly cooked, and full of bold, savory flavor—hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The oysters were incredibly fresh, like they were just pulled from the sea. And the Red Scarlet cocktail? Simply delicious. The mixologist even accommodated a special request I had, and it turned out flawlessly—fruity, smooth, and beautifully presented. Special thanks to Wilson, my server, who was incredibly helpful and made excellent recommendations throughout the evening. His attentiveness and knowledge really added to the experience. This place is a must-visit if you’re in Cancun. Come at sunset—you won’t regret it.

The show starts at 9 PM, and what makes it extra special is that every 30 minutes there’s a different performance — including incredible fireworks! The atmosphere is lively, entertaining, and truly unforgettable. Overall, the entire experience was just amazing, and I highly recommend Taboo to anyone looking for a great night out.

I visited solo on a Friday night. Marco was an AMAZING server! He was attentive, friendly and had fast and accurate service. I can’t wait to come back with my girlfriends! When you visit Cancùn, a Friday night at Taboo is a must!! Live music and entertainment, hookah, food and drinks are top tier!

Food was amazing but your definitely paying for it. our bill was about 400$ CAD (the gratuities were included) we got the 2 lb lobster steak combo and shared it could have definitely shared between 3 people there was so much. We had two specialty cocktails as well. The vibe was immaculate it truly was an experience we were debating a bunch of different places because we wanted lobster it was technically #7 out of all the lobster places but I wanted something with a cool vibe. the lady on the phone told us to come for 9 for the show we came for 830 it was perfect timing as it started to get busy. the performance was great one guy playing sax the other on the violin. Someone else said it but did you even go to Cancún if you didn’t go to taboo ?!?? Will return if your not looking to spend so much you could definitely just go for drinks will 100% return !! Only thing that was annoying a bit was they try to upsell everything just have to be comfortable denying what you don’t want.

Everything about this place was fantastic. We came here for an anniversary dinner and were immediately seated with an incredible lagoon view. The staff were extremely attentive - they brought candles, sliced our lobster for us tableside, topped up our drinks regularly and surprised us with a really nice anniversary dessert. Loved the entire experience and would absolutely recommend it.

Wow! About the most exciting dining experience. As soon as you walk in you are drawn to the sunken dining area by the water. Music is pumping, and people are up dancing on the chairs. It’s wild, infectious, and so much fun. The staff are great, and especially Gabby. What a sweetheart. You don’t go here for a quiet dinner, you go here to have fun and annoy amazing food. The favs were the ceviche, meatballs, burger, and spicy shrimp. Go here…you will not be disappointed.

Probably my top 5 favorite place on earth. The atmosphere is phenomenal. DJ is amazing. Very energetic, it is loud with great music. Food was pretty good and they had hookahs. Awesome to take family and friends there for a good time at night!

This place is amazing for food and vibes!! Must visit if visiting Cancun! We had Jose and Kaar as servers and they were the best, helped us out with everything and more :) and also special mention for Monica for making what my husband refers to as “the best hookah he’s ever experienced” haha. They have live saxophone and violin performances and it was like no other, really cool thing to witness! Anyways, must visit, best people, no other choice but to have a great night with a great vibe, can’t say enough!

Wow! Completely amazed with this place. I don’t leave reviews often but this indeed earned one. Jesus C. was very attentive and polite. Monica was a pleasure whe it came to the hookah needs. All of the food was amazing! Large portions so keep that i mind when ordering. Will be back the next time i visit Cancun :)

Guillermo was the man!!! He was very attentive to myself, my husband and kids. This was our first time here and it was such an amazing experience. We can for a wedding dinner and he took care of our whole party with the best service and attitude. Beside the amazing shows and experiences, we will definitely be coming back because of Guillermo service. Service is everything and he was top notch. Thank you Taboo for a fun night with the newlyweds, our beautiful friends.

The atmosphere is vibrant and stylish, perfect for celebrations, photos, or a social night out. The service team is friendly and attentive, and the presentation of the dishes is impressive. However, some of the menu items didn’t live up to the high prices, and a few flavors felt average compared to the expectations set by the restaurant’s reputation. Overall, Taboo is worth visiting for its vibe and atmosphere, but if you’re there strictly for exceptional cuisine, you might find better value elsewhere. Highly recommended for special occasions and social dining, but not necessarily the best choice if you’re only focused on the food.

Absolutely could not say enough incredible things about our experience at Taboo! We are there tonight but couldn’t wait to review it. From servers, drinks, food and ambiance it was all incredible. We went early for a joint birthday for a 5 year old and 40 years old: they catered to both ages so well. For the 5 year old they made a cookie she could paint and eat. My daughter was so thrilled! The staff were always so quick and available for any need. Kids food came out really quick. Our dishes were seasoned perfectly and fresh. The vibe gets you in vacation mode! Start your trip here and end it here. Great great place! I’ll be telling everyone to come here. Also the price wasn’t bad. We would have paid double back home for less.

Had a very my nice experience at Taboo restaurant! Service provided by Guillermo was excellent. He was extremely attentive and was always ready to address our needs. I ordered the rib-eye steak and my friend the salmon which she thoroughly enjoyed. I would recommend this place for the ambience and excellent service!

Guillermo was our main waiter tonight and was such a pleasure. The rest of the staff was attentive as well but he was very kind to our children especially. The food was delicious! We had lamb chops, steak, pasta, and almost every dessert. We sent the lamb chops back only because they were still too pink for our liking but when they came back out....best thing in the table. They were exquisite. We're thankful for the experience tonight, especially for Guillermo, as we had a child with special needs with us. She, and the rest of us, had an excellent experience tonight.

I’ve traveled a lot, but nothing prepared me for the warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality I felt here tonight. From the moment I sat down, the staff made me feel welcomed in a way I’ll never forget. The food and drinks were amazing, but what truly touched me was the people. Alex and all the bartenders were exceptional. Their energy, attention, and kindness turned what could have been a simple night out into something truly special. I was celebrating my 40th birthday solo, and these guys made my day in a way I didn’t expect. They made me feel celebrated, appreciated, and definitely not alone.

It was a bit dim here but the food and service was top tier. My husband and I ordered the roasted sea bass. It was superb. My daughter ordered the seafood pasta. She said it was a little spicy but delicious. They served us hummus with pomegranate topping with pita chips for dipping; was delicious. We ordered a bottle of red wine which paired great with our fish. Gabby was out serve and she was awesome. We visit Cancun every 3/4 months. We will definitely be back.

This is not usually the type of restaurant that I visit - I am not particularly cool or stylish, and I do generally avoid bars and restaurants that are music-forward. My sister is the same, but we decided to try this place because we were staying nearby and wanted to have a nice evening out together. It was lovely. I went in my Birkenstocks, and she was in yoga pants, so not in line with the general vibe of the place, but we were treated incredibly well by all of the staff. The service was likely the best we have ever had outside of Michelin-calibre restaurants, which are generally (but not always) as attentive, but rarely/never as much fun or as kind (and we are annoyingly picky about this as we both spent our younger years serving and tending bar - the worst critics are those that know the industry). When the music turned up for the evening, I initially had the urge to leave (my sister and I really are stereotypical quiet, bookish types - fun, but not the type to have fun in a club); however, I found live music, participation from the staff, and the whole package to come off as more fun and ... peppy and lighthearted than bumping, which we loved. The staff is definitely on the ball - I have rarely seen a group so dialed in to their service and to the atmosphere they have been tasked to build. Of course, the food was also awesome. We ordered two cocktails recommended by the waiter (both great recommendations, though I can't remember them now), ceviche, tuna carpaccio with caviar, and finally, oysters and prosecco for dessert (we might not be cool, but we have good taste).

A popular and lively spot to dine for dinner and especially if you’re celebrating a birthday or bachelorette. They are extravagant and presenting shots and their steak when they fire it up. They have a DJ and live musical instruments like saxophone and violin shows during dinner. It definitely turns into a show and can get loud. They have tons of drink options. Their fired up steak was popular, I felt like their paella was a little salty. We made a reservation ahead of time and it was very lively a little pricey and the bathrooms are nice! Service took a little long during the show but everyone was really nice.

A fun time and experience! I would say it is overpriced but I imagine you’re paying more for the experience rather the dinner/food quality. My food (ravioli) was enjoyable but some in our group weren’t please by their orders for the price. I enjoyed the sax player, the dj and the energy was fun and lively.

We got there and theserver broke a glass and that fine because mistakes happen right?? We all loved our appetizers. But 3/5 of us did not like the food. It was super salty. The other 2 said it was borderline too salty but they could eat it. We communicated to the manager and he told us we’re wrong the food is perfect and the way he went about it was super rude. Everything was fine but truly the MANAGER ruined our experience. I’m grateful for the other servers because they made an effort to make our experience well. The entertainment was AMAZING though. Manager sucked and ruined my experience. He was SO rude. Even seen him have an attitude towards his own team. Ew and ick.

I would have said this place is amazing but then at the end they FLEECED us. It’s terrible we were here in Cancun for our honeymoon, they offered us champagne and then confused us on which one we were getting. By the time we left they charged us $300 for a bottle of champagne. They stood over us really creepily and pressured us into giving them a good review on TripAdvisor before giving us the bill and then had 2 guys stand over us while we paid. It was a very eerie experience and ruined our night. I don’t really know how to explain it but I’m pretty sure we were scammed. It made me want to cry honestly it was terrible.

Highly disappointing experience. Service felt chaotic from the start — we had multiple waiters attending our table, which led to confusion and missed items. A couple of appetizers and one main never arrived. The biggest issue, however, was feeling taken advantage of. I very clearly ordered house tequila in my margaritas. When I noticed we were charged for a higher-priced tequila, I brought it up. Johnathan our waiter acknowledged the mistake and said he would adjust the bill, but nothing was ever done. When the manager came to take payment and we tried to explain, he pulled out a calculator and told us “it was only a $40 difference,” which completely missed the point. When I followed up with Johnathan again, he accused me of ordering the higher-priced tequila, which was absolutely not the case. We also noticed staff repeatedly topping up glasses with water in a way that felt sneaky, seemingly to push opening more bottled water. The food itself was mediocre at best, and while the atmosphere is clearly geared toward partying, the overall experience left us feeling uncomfortable and distrustful. If you go, be very cautious and check your bill carefully. I personally wouldn’t return, as the experience felt more like a scam than a premium dining destination
