Estuvimos pasando un dos días de turismo por Cangas y por sus buenas reseñas decidimos probar este restaurante. Es un restaurante de calidad, la calidad de la comida, el servicio y la atención al cliente espectacular. El precio va acorde con la calidad de los productos y el buen servicio 100% recomendable, te sientes como si estuvieras en casa. Y otro detalle que tener en cuenta es la buena música que tienen de ambiente.

El mejor sitio de Asturias en cangas de Onís para comer/cenar. La calidad de cada uno de sus platos es espectacular. Por otro lado, Sin olvidarme claramente del estupendo trato por parte del servicio, te hacen sentir como si les conocieras de siempre. Lo recomendamos 100%

Es un restaurante de calidad en todos los aspectos, la calidad de la comida, el servicio y la atención al cliente. La comida estaba espectacular, muy buen sabor y textura, los camareros que nos atendieron de 10, muy agradables en la conversación y en la atención por supuesto. Al entregarnos las cartas, la persona que nos atendió nos explicó casi cada plato al detalle, se agradece conocer en profundidad los platos antes de pedirlos, ya que a veces por el nombre puede llevar a duda o confusión. Obviamente es un restaurante con un precio superior a la media, pero no sales con la sensación de haber pagado en vano. Se paga pero se disfruta y está acorde a la experiencia. Recomendable si os cuadra el presupuesto y queréis comida y servicio de calidad.

First off, this place is AMAZING! Me, my girlfriend, and our 11 month old boy came here because we thought the photos of the food looked tasty. I must say, the photos do not do the food justice. This was the most amazing food I’ve ever had. Traveling all over Spain for a month (Madrid, Granada, Seville, Cangas de Onís, Santander, Bilbao, San Sebastián, Barcelona) and this restaurant was by the far best. It was so good we came back for a second time before we left. Angel, was super helpful and explained everything to us in English and told us all about the beginnings of this family owned/operated restaurant. We enjoyed ourselves so much we never even considered taking out our phone to take photos of the food. This restaurant is a must if you’re in the area and should be a Michelin star restaurant. The food and service was that good. I highly recommend the mussels on black garlic toast, the deep fried cobrales with hazelnut and apple, the blood sausage, the brioche bun with tenderloin and egg yolk, the squid fritters, the tripe, the oxtail, and the cheesecake and the Momo white wine. If I ever make my way back to Spain I will be making a weekend trip back to cangas de onis just for this restaurant. Thank you Angel for an unforgettable experience and for the gift!

Great experience! The host is so nice, he tried to learn some words in our local languege, and was really trying to explain every ingredient in every dish, trying to match us with the best dishes for us All of the food was really really good, both vegiterian, meat and fish. The kitchen is local Astyrian food with fine dining touch, and as the hist told us- the place is family owned and all the infredients are local (including cheese from a farm owned by the host's sister) The service was on spot and very professional Very reccomended, a meal which is also an experience

The most amazing find in the small town of Cangas! One of our favorite meals of our Spain trip. The owner really made the experience special. It’s obviously a family-run place, and so the service can be a little slow when they’re overwhelmed, but it’s absolutely worth it to be somewhere where they really care to make you happy. The food was fantastic too! Some delicious, creative ways to highlight Asturian cuisine, from the local cheeses, to the eggplant, to the fabada stew, to the goat and oxtail. I would come here all the time if I lived nearby!

A fantastic place! We stopped by here after a trip to Covadonga and the food absolutely did not disappoint. They had a wagyu steak option on their menu of the day & it was stunning, I'm still thinking of it weeks later! The cheesecake is a must-try for dessert, however, don't be deceived by its size! It's incredibly dense and I needed my partner to help finish the slice. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and added a much welcome personal touch to our experience. He spoke excellent English and he really made our meal so enjoyable! I absolutely recommend this authentic gem if you're in town.

Had one of our top meals of a 3 week trip to Spain here. The food was fantastic but what was even better was the brilliant service. Someone took the time to explain every element of the menu in a clear, friendly and helpful way (and in English!). We were also incredibly happy not to have been oversold on portion sizes and felt that the service here was 10/10. Definitely stop and make a trip whilst you are in Cangas Di Onis.

Wow! Everything we have eaten here was our favorite! This was our favorite restaurant in Spain! Angel was so amazing and explained the entire menu to us in English and we saw him engaging with every table. We came back here within our couple days of staying in Cangas. The food here was great - some brilliant examples of Asturian specials. But the service was truly exceptional. Ángel was warm, friendly and informative. He warned us that he spoke only "a little English" and then proceeded to vividly describe each dish in better detail than most English waiters! He and his staff were attentive, but not overly so. To cap off a memorable experience, he gave us a gift of a bottle of cider to leave with. He really made our day! To top it off, the restaurant is beautifully appointed and situated perfectly on the river's edge. We'd really recommend popping by if you're staying nearby. You won't regret it!

We've been coming to Asturias for four years now. You can find some of the best restaurants in Spain here, but this one was a big and pleasant surprise. The food was amazing, I had one of the best seafood tapa in my life and the best Rabo de Toro in Spain. The staff is super friendly and professional, the restaurant has a nice and rustic design. I hope they get noticed by Repsol and Michelin guides.

HIGH-QUALITY ASTURIAN FOOD. El Molín de la Pedrera offers a more upscale experience than the zillions of sidrerías in Cangas. The menu is focused on traditional Asturian cuisine but adds some novel elements. Our dinner was outstanding. I highly recommend the crujiente de Cabrales, panaché de setas and rabo de toro. The wine selection is great as well. And the Charlota cake for dessert is amazing. Expect to pay around €30—35 per person.

I’m often cautious of any #1 restaurants on trip advisor (tourist traps galore!) but this deserves its position on top of the leaderboard. The food was some of the best I’ve had in northern Spain which is impressive in itself (stiff competition!). I had the mussels with black garlic, fabada soup, the oxtail and goats cheese with blueberry dessert (note the last two weren’t on the permanent menu but not sure how frequently the specials change). It’s great as a lot of the courses they can do half portions if you’re keen to try a few things. The bread must be home made and is served warm (crispy on outside and soft on inside). Wine and Pedro Ximénez I had were all delightful as well. Staff are really friendly. There is an English menu if you need it too. Price was great for everything I got. Would happily return! To note I arrived about 3.45pm and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table which was fine as there is a bar area you can sit at but makes me think if you want to dine at a peak time, I’d definitely see if you can book!

Fuimos recomendados y la verdad que el Servicio y el bar es de 10, muy amables y el local muy bien ambientado y cuidado. Pedimos varias cosas y destaco las croquetas, los buñuelos de calamares, el solomillo al cabrales espectacular buen punto y buena salsa, la merluza muy buena también!!! Yo tome: * Galleta de Gamoneu con Asadillo de Pimientos y Anchoas: El plato se transforma de "sugerente" a magistral. La base crujiente sirve de lienzo al intenso y ligeramente picante queso Gamoneu. La clave está en el acompañamiento: el asadillo de pimientos aporta dulzor y carnosidad, mientras que las anchoas inyectan un golpe salino que equilibra a la perfección la potencia del queso. Un juego de contrastes que estimula el paladar. * Brioche Mini con Lomito Caramelizado, Yema de Huevo y Topping Crujiente: Un bocado que es pura indulgencia. El brioche tierno es el vehículo perfecto para un lomito caramelizado que aporta dulzor y una textura fundente. El Molín de la Pedrera es un destino gastronómico donde la inversión se traduce en calidad, creatividad y una experiencia memorable. La ejecución de platos como la Galleta de Gamoneu y el Brioche Mini lo colocan como un referente de la cocina de Cangas.

Un lugar muy bueno para comer y muy rico todo. La carne está buenísima y también la fabada, si te gusta el queso fuerte tienen una tabla de quesos muy buenos en el cual no te dejará indiferente. La única pega que puedo poner es que tuve reserva para las 15:00 y tuve que esperarme ( aunque muy bien atendido y con detalle ) 15 minutos y la segunda pega es que soy un gran amante del café y como siempre pedí un café solo pero estaba muy amargo el café y algo aguado. Pero por parte de la atención y la calidad de la comida un 10

Bueno por donde empezar… El sitio era cómodo y acogedor, aparte de muy limpio. Pero la atención que hemos tenido por parte del camarero a sido bastante agobiante e incómoda (De educado a pelma hay dos palabras) Nos pedía comanda y nos orientaba de las cantidades. Pero era más marearnos para meternos lo más caro de la carta sin temblarle el bigote. Nos vendió la carnes del restaurante como si fuese maná caído del cielo y la calidad se asemejaba a la ternera del Macdonals Carnes muy pasadas de punto y platos con cantidades minúsculas para el precio que pagas. Nos va a costar recuperarnos de la cuenta que nos clavaron para la baja calidad de muchos de los platos. Todavía escucho en mi parálisis del sueño al camarero queriendo meternos los postres con calzador.

We ve had a confirmed reservation for 21:15, Friday the 13 of June. The reservation was made and confirmed 2 months before as we are travelling (road trip on the north of Spain). It was a very aspecting and disappointing surprise that the restaurant was closed and nobody bothered to inform us about it. As it was a period of festivities due to the celebration of St.Antonio, all restaurants were full. I find the behaviour of the owners of this taverna at least not professional!
