A wonderful experience for the palate, in a restaurant nestled in a green oasis that provided a truly relaxing moment. We enjoyed the tasting menu, €43 per person, featuring a wide variety of dishes, including appetizers, various first and second courses, and a dessert to finish. But the most enjoyable aspect of the meal was Franco's company, a bit of a bear at first, but ultimately extremely friendly and professional, especially when talking about his nine cats. Let's not forget the wonderful Mattia, whose presence created an almost family-like atmosphere. Finally, a special thanks also goes to little Riccardo, five months old, whose appearance and temperament will surely make him Mayor.

We had lunch at this restaurant during the Casseula Festival. The food was truly excellent, well-prepared. Not only was the main course noteworthy, but also the appetizers, first courses, and desserts. The setting is lovely, surrounded by greenery. You can take a tour of the farm to see the animals... too bad it was raining and we couldn't fully enjoy it!

Cassœula: a symbolic dish of Lombardy and the endless rural tradition of the Po Valley. How wonderful it would be if there were a festival to celebrate it, right? Well, surprise: it exists, it's spreading throughout the Como and Brianza areas, and it suggests some of the most iconic places to eat it. One of these is La Cascina di Mattia. 🏠 LOCATION | A modern farmhouse spread over two raised floors with a view of the Cantù meadows. It's modern, but it feels like you've known it forever—the kind of place that exudes good vibes from the first encounter. 🚶‍♂ STAFF | A bevy of waiters always ready to smile and never get lost despite the large number of customers. Skilled, friendly, and ready to recommend what to choose. 👨‍🍳 CUISINE | As per the introduction, we dived into the cassœula, and there's little to say: it was spectacular, one of the best we've ever eaten. Add to that a charcuterie appetizer, cheese platter, desserts, and wine, and we had bingo. 💶 BILL | Prices are around €43 per person for a full set menu. Definitely worth a try.

My wife and I went for lunch on a Sunday after quarantine. They seated us outside because it was a beautiful day. The waiters all wore masks, and the tables were spaced apart. The service was fast, and the staff were very kind and professional. We had a cured meat appetizer to share; the sausage with caramelized onions was delicious! For our first course, we had gnocchi alla Valtellina and tagliolini with donkey ragù. For dessert, the apricot cake. Everything was truly excellent! Nearby, you can see donkeys, horses, peacocks, and goats. We'll definitely be back.
