Cozy and rustic place. Excellent hospitality. Simple, tasty, and plentiful food. It feels like returning to the restaurants of the past, where simplicity reigns supreme. Impeccable service, very kind and welcoming owner. We had a great time. The restaurant has a rustic exterior with an outdoor setting. Good prices. For two, we spent 55 euros, from appetizer to dessert. We'll definitely be back.

Polenta uncia, pizzoccheri, antipasti…wow! Everything was delicious. I highly recommend to come to Crotto also for the view you have of the Como lake from the top and for the mountain atmosphere you have once entering inside the woods. It was just an amazing experience from the food to the nature around us. Don’t miss it ;)

Incredible little gem hidden in the hills above Lugano. We rode by bike which was well worth the effort, and joined the Sunday church crowd for a really special meal. Antipasti, brown butter cheesy polenta, roasted meats. The nonnas truly took care of us

I would rate this place 10 stars if I could. The place is simply beautiful. The atmosphere is great, and food is amazing. We tried almost everything. The pizzoccheri is outstanding, polenta uncia simply divine. Likely we were also the only guests, so we enjoyed in full every minute of our stay. There are also different places, in the woodland where to go before or after lunch for a relaxing walk in the spactacular and wild nature that is around the Crotto. I started to go to this place with my parents 45 years ago, and yesterday, after all this time, everything was simply perfect. The staff is more than lovely. I consider this place a piece of paradise on Earth!

A Grandola e Uniti a 1000 ma in mezzo ai boschi bellissimo panorama,posto alla mano gestori carinissimi. È preferibile prenotare.ser ono menù unico x tutti,affettati,sottaceti,polenta uncia,brasato pollo e coniglio con insalata,formaggi,torta caffè..acqua e vino.a biamo pagato 28 euro a testa.

We met up with friends at this Crotto and had lunch with a starter of polenta, uncia, main course, dessert, coffee, and an after-dinner drink. Everything was very good. The only thing I would say is that the portions should be larger, as not everyone was able to try everything because there wasn't enough. A tip from grandma: in the children's play area, replace any broken toys or simply throw them away.

The road to get there might be a bit daunting for some. All in all, it's doable with the necessary precautions: it's paved anyway. A delight for motorcyclists and non-motorcyclists, it offers exceptional views of the lake. The restaurant is homey with a strong dialectical flair. The food is good and the portions are generous. The owners are very welcoming. It also has plenty of outdoor space. Go there!

We came from Bergamo on the recommendation of friends, and the lunch was worth the drive. The location is very quaint, like being hosted in a mountain cabin heated by old wood-burning stoves that make you feel welcome and at ease. Outside, there's a nice, convenient parking lot with enough space for all guests. The restaurant is surrounded by greenery, between woods and meadows—a paradise for mountain lovers. The food deserves 4 stars because most of the ingredients are locally sourced and of good quality. I'm giving it 3 stars only because it's a fixed menu and not à la carte, so be sure to check the menu carefully. I found the service excellent, friendly and welcoming, never invasive, and always pleasant. If you're feeling heavy after lunch, you can take a short walk to the Alpine chapel, where you can admire a breathtaking view of Lake Lugano. The only drawback of the location is perhaps the road, which is completely paved but a bit narrow. It's still accessible by car, but there are many hairpin bends. Altitude of approximately 890m above sea level so check that the road is free of snow in the cold months.
