First time trying this place I recommended 100% everything looks fresh and also taste fresh. They have a lot of options to choose from. Friendly environment try it out for yourself.

Our group went before our school prom and the food was very yummy. I I highly recommend the Dragon Roll, the Miso soup was good it just needed a little bit more soy sauce. The workers behind the counter were extremely helpful and really seem like they cared about their job.

The best poke I’ve had hands down! Food was fresh and amazing, love the variety of delicious sauces!! Very clean location, the bathroom was also clean which I feel always says a lot- the owner was attentive and you can definitely tell how passionate he is about his craft If you’re in Carlsbad go support this local, family business :) 10/10

This place is fantastic. I'm very picky about what fish I'll eat, and this place has the BEST QUALITY fish I've tried in the area. We have been eating here weekly for about 2 months now, and every single time the food is fresh and top quality. The owner is super friendly and really cares about the product provided. Additionally, I appreciate that avocado is included with the bowls and that they don't try to charge for it in their bowls. You can even get 2 scoops for free if you want! They also have some other fish upgrade options that are a little more expensive but really high quality. I got the fresh yellowtail today, and it was by far the best fish I've ever had in a poke bowl, We will be customers for a very long time!

Awesome poke spot if you’re in San Marcos!! I got the poke bowl and spam musubi and both were very flavorful and big portions. The service was phenomenal! I spoke with the owner throughout my lunch and loved how attentive him and his team were. Could not recommend this place more.

Wow! I found my Poke Place! I haven’t been impressed with the local poke so I ventured out to Hooked on Poke &Sushi! My first impression: easy parking, clean store with indoor/outdoor seating and the best manager that I’ve met in a very long time! I was greeted immediately, served immediately and picked out my bowl from the numerous selections. I liked that they had a variety of different types of drinks not just the standard coke stuff. Now for the food! It looked amazing as you see in my photo so I was excited and starving… it was delicious! Every single bite! The flavors popped, the balance of the sauces to the poke, toppings was just right. It was the most perfect, tasty poke bowl I’ve ever had! Fresh! Fabulous!! Then the friendly manager came over asked about my food and we chatted a bit. I love how he takes pride in his work, the food and the restaurant! Very refreshing! I will return and try the sushi but I may have to try several poke bowls because I can’t get enough! Great value for the quality!

I hear they are going to serve beer and wine soon so that will be another level up. There are so many great food choices in Bressi Ranch but this is my favorite - you will see when you get here. It is not just another poke joint. It is class AA fish an ownership group that really cares. Pro Tip: Try the new Hijiki seaweed salad.

Hooked On Poke is amazing! Every time I get the chance, I eat here. It’s the best spot I’ve found in San Diego area for the perfect balance of taste, quality, and healthy food. I recently visited HOOKED ON SUSHI and was blown away by the freshness and quality of their poke bowls! The variety of ingredients was impressive, with plenty of options to customize my bowl exactly to my liking. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the toppings were vibrant and flavorful. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made the experience even better with their excellent customer service. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality. Definitely a go-to spot for anyone craving a healthy, delicious meal. Highly recommend!

Hit or miss. This used to be our favorite poke place but their new employees are all trained differently. Some will give you huge scoops of fish and some give you 1/4th of the scoop. Some employees forget to prep ahead and end up being out of staple items like tuna or avocado. It’s really frustrating to pay the same price for a significantly smaller bowl. The manager (or longest employee, the Asian man, is awesome. He always gives us the best service and quantities. I wish they would just train more consistently

First, the staff was so sweet and helpful. They were friendly and attentive and lovely to order from. The place was clean and well decorated. The food however, which is what we came for, has literally no flavor. I mean if you are not drowning it in sauce, the fish is flavorless. I usually order sashimi at sushi restaurants so I am used to plain sushi having a flavor. The portion of the fish you get vs the pricing is insane too. it's about the size of a cookie scoop worth of fish per flavor. The toppings all feel canned or not fresh besides the cucumber and scallions. It was way too expensive vs. the quality and portions. Honestly the portion would be fine if the quality was there. Not sure if we just got there on an off day for them, but almost $40 for two small bowls, it should have been much better.

There is also corn, avocado, fried onion and egg (tamago). Also, there was no sesame seed or furikake as noted on menu. Presentation could have been better. I have had better unagi bowls to be honest.

This place is a great example of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. It’s clearly under new ownership. Higher prices, smaller quantities, different menu and logo. This place used to have the best poke bowls. The best rice taste and quality. Hefty quantities for relatively little. Now, the quantities are much less and they charge more for extra toppings. We used to go multiple times a week. The food is still as good but lower quantities and higher prices.. I saw another comment say they hadn’t increased prices since pre pandemic but I’d been going for 3 years and they had raised them a little over time so I’m not too sure. I hope things will improve as the new owners get the hang of things !

Not the same as it used to be. New ownership maybe? Now they have extremely small portions and everything just taste so bland. The fish doesn't seem very fresh or that it's kept cold. The spicy tuna was really odd and seemed to be partially cooked and wasn't spicy at all. It was also bright pink and just didnt really even look like tuna or taste like it. Cucumbers seemed old. The sauces were bland tasting as well, everything labeled spicy was not at all spicy and just flavorless. Overall the most bland poke bowl I've had from there and everything seemed so different than a few months ago. I got my same order I always get, normally very filling and almost couldn't even finish in one sitting. This bowl now wasn't at all filling. Service was nice, but the food was just not good. I wouldn't recommend it and probably won't come back and will just drive the extra few miles to Lemonshark poke.

I ordered here at 3:00pm. I don't know if it's because I came at a weird time. The yellowtail sashimi was discolored and tasted older. I ate it anyways, because it was my lunch break and I was running out of time to have anything else. The brown rice (side) was dry and had chunks of black crumbles (not the rice itself).The boba tea was good in flavor, but after the third sip I got a crunchy boba. I tried again, and the next one was hardened. The guy was very nice, and I'd like to give this place the benefit of the doubt by saying 330pm was just a weird time to go. I did get the yellowtail with jalapenos onions and scallions and that was pretty good! (: Update: it is 6:25 and my stomach is in a lot of pain. Sharp intermittent stabbing pains. changing my rating to 1 star.

This place shouldn’t bother serving boba. I had a misleading experience because their location in the Village tasted fine, but the boba drink I got here wasn’t worth eating. It was not fresh. I watched the worker scoop the tapioca out of a plastic container from the fridge, so it had no flavor and was over-inflated. Not a nice classic chewy texture, more like chalky jello. I couldn’t taste the tea aspect of the drink and the fruit flavoring was powdered, not even from a syrup like most places. Left a gross residue in my mouth. The paper straw wasn't sharp enough to pop open the lid. They were also understaffed and the wait was 15 minutes.
