We lived in Carlsbad for five years before discovering this place - and to be honest we never tried it simply based off the name, how good can a place called panini kabob grill be? Let me tell you, it can be really really good!!! The service, the portions, but most importantly the flavor of all of dishes here are spectacular. Frankly, we’ve tried most of the dishes but you can’t leave here without trying to the kabob, it’s some of the best we’ve ever tried. And as strange as it sounds, the strawberry date salad is, life changing, please try it you won’t regret it! Highly recommend this place for groups big and small! Word is some of the other PKG locations have brunch, this spot should definitely consider it!

Relaxing spot with decent Mediterranean food. Came here with family to meet my mom’s friend for the first time and it was quiet enough to have good convo. There food was good -pictures are of steak panini, shrimp plate, chicken kabob plate, and pesto sandwich. The onions on the kabobs were a little bulky for my preference, and not quite cooked all the way through, but other than that great experience! Especially if you’re looking for a nice atmosphere to sit with family and eat some Mediterranean food!

Pickup for lunch. Loved the rice, the tzatzkiki and hummus. Everything else was great including the tiramisu. Will have to return to try more items.

Love this place! The best Mediterranean food! Regularly go and get the beef koobideh plate, my whole family gets it! Moist and flavorful and you get so much food because it comes with rice (or bulgar) and a salad. Very friendly staff too and a patio you can bring dogs! We usually bring our little ones on leashes. Cannot recommend enough!!

PKG it's absolutely fantastic! I've had just about everything on the menu and I have not been disappointed. My last trip I did the combo kabobs and a cup of the chicken vegetable soup. Both were outstanding. The portion sizes here are generous for the price and every option is solid. Every time I've ordered the food has been timely and the service has been excellent. I would highly recommend these folks.

We have never been here before so we thought we would give it a try. We went on a Thursday night and the place was nice and quite. We got right in and the wait staff were very friendly answered all our questions. The food came quick and the portions were bigger than we were expecting. The roasted onions, peppers and tomato's on top were seared to perfection. e had the Chicken Wrap, Rigatoni Bolognese, Beef Koobideh Kabob and the Charbroiled Chicken Shish Kabob. Every one has said this is the best food we have had on our trip. The flavors ae off the charts. Fantastic food and hope to come back.

We love the family deal!! The quality and quantity was amazing especially for the price. We also ordered their bread basket and a side of olives, which was small but still very satisfying. I’m surprised by some of the reviews about service and wait time, we didn’t experience any of that. Our experience was positive and we felt very welcomed. We’ll be back :)

The 1st time visit to this location after shopping at Calrsbad Outlet with my family. We were hungry and we're seated immediately and ordered the usual for us. The humus trio was excellent. The food came out in 10 minutes and we were delighted by the good quality of food. We will come back again to this location when we visit Carlsbad. Thank you.

A great find. The name betrays the high-quality and varied menu items. It's not simple paninis and basic kabobs. Rather, they provide very tasty, well-formulated, and beautifully presented food that on my first trip has made me a repeat customer. Highly recommended.

Consistently great food and service. We come here often and it’s always a reliable spot for a fresh meal. The food is high quality and never disappoints. Also, Erica is wonderful—always friendly and makes the experience better. Definitely our go-to in Carlsbad!

Clean, seemed busy. Enjoyed the vegetarian options of the tofu kabob but not much of it - a little disappointing for the price. Large plates but wish there was more substance to the tofu- more of it- only small 4-5 thin pieces. Salad was pretty normal and not the typical Mediterranean salad lemon type dressing. The bulgar wheat was different and good.

Updated review: I have ordered food a couple times through Door dash since last review and was able to get my delivery and the food was delicious. Of course I had to order earlier during the day. I wouldn’t order during a busy period or you may not get it.

I’ve been ordering online and dining at this restaurant for a couple of years, and it used to be one of my favorites. Unfortunately, the experience has become increasingly negative. Over the last couple of months, the quality of the koobideh has been very inconsistent — about half the time it arrives burned, sometimes badly enough that it’s barely edible. I always leave clear notes in the online orders and mention it to servers, but the issue keeps happening. When the koobideh is cooked properly, it’s great, which makes the inconsistency even more frustrating. I really hope the kitchen pays closer attention, because I’d like to keep supporting this place, but it’s getting harder to justify when the quality varies so much.

They made it with a green mix lettuce I think it was the 50/50 mix because it have baby spinach. So I was hoping to get the crunchy crispy lettuce that it's very particular of a Mediterranean salad. Our beef sandwich was good but it didn't have like a wow flavor. Maybe we didn't ordered the right stuff. We would go back again and give it a second try . For our food we payed around$32 with tip and no drinks.

I got a stomach ache and threw up the day after eating the salmon kabob with brown rice👍The falafel platter with different sauces was super good though. Seating is also bit cramped but doable.
