You could also call it "The Paella Trattoria," because that's their specialty, along with fried seafood. We're not in the Valencia area at all, but in the Varese area, in Rovate, a hamlet of Carnago (where AC Milan's Milanello training center is also located). We're not in Spain, but the paella here is delicious and plentiful. The mixed fried seafood is crispy and cooked in clear, clean oil. It's also a Trattoria, in the beautiful, popular sense of the word. Don't expect sumptuous decor or furnishings, just the simplicity of a trattoria, like it used to be. The young, lively staff is also attentive to customers, and that certainly doesn't hurt. There's only one downside—which is especially true if there are large tables of exuberant friends—the reverberating noise that prevents you from speaking clearly with others at the table. Perhaps it's possible, without any particular investment, to intervene to mitigate this background noise that can be annoying... let's try "cutting" these sound waves with some panels... Do any technical friends have anything more specific to suggest?...

It's a restaurant that definitely focuses on food. The very courteous and friendly service obviously suffers from the lack of staff, which slows down the wait. The seafood is definitely the restaurant's strong point. The signature dish is paella (reservation required). The seafood appetizer is very varied, the fritto misto is average.

This little place was recommended to us for their specialty, paella. Plus, it's very close to where we live, so we were eager to try it out, so we went with confidence. The atmosphere is lovely; if I'm not mistaken, it used to be the local clubhouse, but it's been renovated and decorated with details reminiscent of Italian tradition. Nice tables; distance isn't a problem here. We loved the very friendly and helpful service. Simple, you immediately feel at home. But here's the specialty: paella 🥘, which came in the typical large pan, laden with seafood; I'd say it was very tasty and well-balanced. We accompanied it with carafes of sangria, which, admittedly, was a bit light, but it went down well. As usual, however, we couldn't miss a nice white wine, which made the dinner even more delicious. Finally, the desserts were classic, but delicious and fresh. And here we are with the final verdict. Good value for money, first and foremost, and the informal atmosphere is perfect for company and a delicious evening. The 🥘 Paella, I'd say, wasn't bad, and above all, it was made with fresh ingredients and well-cooked, not at all heavy, and with a hint of spice that made it even more delicious. The final trick was the go-to box of leftover paella, and since we were the last ones to leave, they gave us some free trays. Basically, it's the first time I've gone to a restaurant and left with more food than I ate. P.S. Today at noon, given the freshness of the food we brought home, we had seconds! 😋 And it's in the reheated product that you can tell the quality of the food. The result was delicious even reheated. If you're in the area, I recommend it. Oh, I forgot, they told me they also do takeout, so it doesn't get any better than that 😋😉

A charming trattoria with a large, airy, and simple interior. It's famous for its seafood and paella. Excellent and fresh, with generous portions. If you have any leftovers, they'll pack them up for you to take home. The staff is friendly and attentive. Before serving, they offered us a pizza to share at the table as an appetizer. The sangria is also good and light. The desserts are delicious.

I ate the seafood paella. Honestly, it wasn't one of the best I've ever eaten, but tastes vary from person to person. However, I expected to eat at least one scampi and a few shrimp, which are present in all paella recipes. I must have been unlucky, but no scampi, and not even a single shrimp for me, even though I ate two dishes. Never mind.... What I wanted to point out to the manager is that the table setting also matters at a restaurant dinner. Having large, small, and medium wine glasses on the table for the various diners is not an option. The glasses should be the same for everyone. The water glasses would be better if they were transparent, but if you use colored ones, they can't have large scratches where the color is lost. I suspect that parts of the color ended up in the water I was drinking. If you use colored ones, at least make sure the glass is colored. Bringing waste plastic seafood bowls to the table is not nice. I don't even do it at home. In a restaurant, I expect something better. Lastly; If I eat a seafood paella, I'm bound to get my hands dirty. Giving people a hand towel to clean them at the end of the meal is the least I can do. I shouldn't be forced to go to the bathroom to wash them, and I shouldn't be bothered with the eco-friendly argument about disposable items.

The paella made with basmati rice is UNPOSSIBLE!!! Saffron, peas, and peppers are a must. It would be appropriate to change the name to "fisherman's rice." Then, magically, the "menu" price they offer rises for no reason (since we ordered less than expected). Maybe the pizza will be a good choice. The atmosphere is very casual, but the lack of customers is giving us pause.

Reading previous reviews, perhaps we were unlucky. Family lunch (à la carte) with rather small portions. Sad fillet steak (pale cooking, not that nice grilled color). Somewhat long waits. Receipt with total, not specifics.
