Absolutely spectacular sushi. The nigiri is high quality and the sake is surprisingly rich. If you like good sushi and atmosphere, you can't go wrong here.

Great first time experience. Felt very authentic from the food to the service. I decided to try it out for a late lunch. Loved that you can share plates while having a beer or two. I tried the octopus balls, pork skewers, spicy edamame, and the Yamen Ramen. Also tried the Asahi draft and was definitely pleased. Everything tasted great and was fresh. The spicy level was perfect for flavor with a little tingle on the lips. Will definitely be coming back to try out some more of their dishes.

Nice ambiance, good tasty food. Reminded us of our time in Japan. Definitely one of the more authentic Japanese izakayas in the Dallas Fort worth metroplex.

Every time I come here, I leave happy and full. The food is excellent, the prices are well within reason, and the staff is so helpful and friendly. Shout out to P.J. and Faa for always being great and attentive. I've tried several dishes that I probably would have never ordered on their recommendations, and they never disappoint. Came here on a whim for dinner and glad we did. We ordered sushi (spicy scallop, Louisiana, Salmon dynamite, and black 6) -- they were all absolutely delicious! Friendly staff with a great atmosphere. Average prices. Will be coming back often!

We were surprised and happy to see that a Yama's opened up here. We would frequent the plano location, but this one is closer for us to get to. There are some differences to the menus, but nothing major. If you've been to the plano location, you can expect the same quality here. Food is great! We typically order a small ramen to split and then get other dishes as well. Everything is pretty well priced as well. The tonkotsu ramen is a deep, rich, bone broth soul. We also always get the buta kakuni, this delicious pork belly dish. We will always recommend this place, and the service was great as well.

Was here for a friend's birthday party, service was excellent despite us having around 20+ people. Server was on point, got all orders and drinks correct. Was very pleased

This place is awesome, compared to other sushi spots I've been too recently Yama Izakaya wins every time. Open late, miso is good, hot saki is good and inexpensive, rolls were excellent* Plus the staff is friendly. The bathroom has a high tech bidet toilet, heated seat, heated or cooled water, 🙌 I love this place, I'll be back next time. It's worth a few extra minutes driving.

All the sushi we ordered was presented beautifully and delicious! We also got ramen and soup that was prepared lovely and full of flavor. We left with plenty of leftovers and full stomachs. Great place with friendly and informative staff.

Authentic, aesthetic, traditionally decorated Japanese restaurant and bar. Laid back about me bringing small kids and also surprisingly affordable for a nice sushi restaurant. A wonderful place. Saki, deep fried shrimp, and sashimi platter were 💯. I got two California rolls for the kids.

Great food, a bit slow service.

The marbling of the sashimi cuts was terrific. The slices of fish were of good size and thickness. The sashimi was also very fresh with a cool temperature. The head chef really knows what they are doing. Only thing that didn’t make me go wow was their sushi rice. It seemed like it was a little hard and kind of old. But considering at what time we came in everything was top notch. Servers were quick and attentive. The mood was good too.

It’s 25 mins drive for us but so much worth it. It’s warm, cozy, welcoming, very comfy restaurant with great service. Even though short staffed the server was full of energy and extremely courteous. It’s hidden gem in Carrollton and I love their prices!!! Huge selection of variety of sushi and udon, fun for kids and adults and their warm sake is not diluted. One big pot does the work and make you happy on Friday evening!!! Every dollar you spend is worth it. The prices are decent, quantity and quality is very good too. We ordered 3 sushi rolls (signature) and udon soup and two hot large sake and with 25% tip our bill touched $100. I love sushi and I love this place. Oh and their restroom is extra special with warm seat and bidet!!! What more you can ask for??? Had dinner here after grocery shopping in the area. Absolutely loved the sushi!! Very fresh and the sushi rice was perfect. Our server was also amazing!! Nice atmosphere for my boyfriend and I to enjoy. Tables were also socially distanced so we weren’t too close to any other party. Would definitely recommend! Will be back soon.

The food (fresh sushi, seafood stir fry, spicy wings just to name a few) here is amazing…I’ve been twice within the past two weeks! Not only is the food amazing, the waitress, Selena, is THE BOMB!! She is also another reason for the return. She’s so sweet! If and when you go, ask for Selena, if she’s available! I promise she nor the food will disappoint you!

Very good Izakaya restaurant in town. Sushi sashimi were very fresh. I love the miso cod the most. The fish was grilled to perfection and the miso dressing was very tasty. The best eel rice bowl in town as well. Would recommend this place!

Solid just like our first visit to their other location off Legacy and US 75. Arrived around 2:30 pm for late lunch/early dinner Sunday with the family. First impressions upon entering were empty restaurant, spotless, and well designed that it reminded us of being in Tokyo. Menu had pages of options for everyone. There was also a sushi menu which we skipped on this visit. We ordered a round of appetizers to start things off: takoyaki ($5.95), agedashi tofu ($5), vegetable tempura ($4.50), and buta kakuni ($6.95). Each of these were easily devoured as the flavors and texture were perfect. For the carnivores out there, definitely order the buta kakuni as rich cuts of fatty pork belly marinated in a soy broth melt in your mouth with each bite. Boys each ordered the Katsu Curry ($12). Wife had the Shrimp Tempura Udon ($9.50). I went with the Tonkotsu Ramen ($9.50). The boys' curry was generous in portion and smelled wonderful. They each cleaned their plates off. Wife's udon hit on all notes too. My ramen was good but would've been better had the noodles been different texturally. They reminded me of Chinese egg noodles for some reason which didn't fit what ramen should be. Aside from the noodles in the ramen, the "linner" was a success. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and family meal. All-in with 20% tip ran us $85.

Glad pur usual sushi place was closed for labor day or else we wouldn't have tried this place. Friendly staff and amazing sushi. The sashimibwas frsh and the rolls delish! A couple of quail shots and some hot saki made our night. We will be back!

Awesome food and terrific lunchtime specials. Service is great at this hidden gem. I highly recommend the appetizer shrimp with potato. Sushi, ramen, all the varieties you could want. I tried couple different places for best sushis and honestly Yama Izakaya is one of the best ones. we ordered some different sushis , I liked “salmon dynamite” the most with delicious sause on top. “Sea scallop sashimi “was our another order , was good too, “Shrimp tempura” and “edamame” are always in our orders. One of the best options they have is you can go there in midnight even, they are open to 2am. I will go there again if I want sushi 🍣

Very cozy and nice restaurant. Service was immaculate and prestine. Sushi was just ok but the ramen was absolutely phenomenal. Airy broth and the spice was just right. Noodles were just the right texture. The chashu could have been seared a little more but no big deal at all. Strongly recommend and will return. Nice not too crazy experience on a Saturday night compared to other places near by.

We visited a couple weeks ago during their grand reopening and waited about an hour to be seated. Here’s what we got: Double pleasure: solid basic role. Wife really enjoyed this. Loved the crunch complemented by the freshness of the fish. Cucumber salad: did not like . Would not order again. Karage: usually a good indicator of how good the izikaya will be and I have to say this place passed the taste. Nothing special, just good crispy chicken with some sauce on the side. I love my Karage with a lot of lemon, so I definitely squeezed a couple lemons on top of the plate. Creamy udon: the hype is real. Very creamy and FILLING. We enjoyed it, but wouldn’t get it again just because we were satisfied having it once. All nigiris good. Yellow tail favorite. Quality is good - not the best. But with these prices you shouldn’t expect omakase style fish either. Price to quality ratio was adequate. Our server PJ was fantastic! Really affable! Loved him. I asked for lemons a couple times and he got me a small plate each time. He was also very quick! We’d add items to our order as we’d go and he’d quickly place the order. For how busy they were, the food was coming rather quickly. Because this place is open till 2AM, it’s a solid late night spot.

The sushi was good! The service was both friendly and impressively swift. The restaurant boasts ample seating, and we were accommodated immediately upon arrival. Prices are fair, and we were fortunate to visit on a Wednesday, when they offered an excellent nigiri deal. We ordered a set of ten pieces at an exceptionally reasonable price, each one delightfully flavorful and presented in an adorably petite fashion. The menu features a vast array of dishes, making it quite a challenge to choose. My friend and I opted to focus solely on the sushi, and we were thoroughly satisfied with every piece we tried. The spice level on the spicier rolls was perfectly balanced and very filling—flavorful without being overwhelming. One minor note: the background music seemed a bit mismatched for the dining experience. Whether it was a curated playlist or a radio station, hearing plenty Camila Cabello and “Dance Monkey” by Tones and I felt somewhat out of place. That said, it’s a personal preference and did not detract from the overall enjoyment of our visit whatsoever. In summary, we had a wonderful time and will certainly be returning!

1st time we went there because everything else was closed (this place is open late-2am). We were pleasantly surprised by how busy the place was at midnight, and food/sushi was delicious. Service is good as well. It's a bit costly, but that comes with good quality food. Next time we came, it was Wednesday, and they had a dollar sushi! It's just as delicious. Would definitely recommend trying it if you like sushi.

I was looking for a place that was open late and offered dine-in service as well. In my search, I came across Yama Izakaya & Sushi. The food there was good. My favorites were the Yakitori skewers and the Liver and Nara dish. The Chawan Mushi was great as well. It is an unique savory custard dish made with eggs. The Tako Wasabi was interesting. I would get it again. A word of caution though as it has a tricky texture and a strong wasabi flavor profile. A perfect place that is open late and offers great food and ambiance for you and your friends to enjoy.

We had dinner here and it was delicious! We got the katsu curry, takiyaki, chicken teriyaki bento and the omurice! Everything was delicious and flavourful! Honestly one of the nicest meals I've had in a very long time! I also really liked the incorporation of one piece anime art and other assorted art throughout the restaurant! The shrimp tempura is also a must try! If you're thinking of going here for dinner do it! And try the katsu you won't regret it!! 🤤

Surprisingly has my favorite katsu curry I've tried so far. Katsu looked a bit smaller as of late, but the curry tastes very good as usual. I also get the creamy seafood udon occasionally which satisfies my seafood cravings.

Not bad, can improve. Tried 4 different yakitori, taste ok, a little bit dry on each. We also had Duck soba, the tomato salmon very nice. Negi Chashu pork a bit salty and not fresh. Ramen is good, and their service is very attentive, good.

Monday & Wednesday $1 & $1.50 select sushi - I was very surprised by the quality for the price point! The salmon ($1) & eel ($1.50) in particular. I’ll definitely be making a habit of coming here on a regular basis. Just hopefully — the place will be a bit warmer, or at least not sat underneath a vent.

Great variety of sushi here. The volcano roll is rich and delectable. The fish tastes really fresh. The miso is good too with beautiful strips of saffron on top! *swoon* The eel is sweet with a slimy texture atop a bed of rice. Nice atmosphere, clean bathrooms and lots of variety to choose from.... miso, ramen, eel, sushi, curry, etc. Nice wait staff and a professional welcome entering and leaving.

If you get one thing and one thing only, get their creamy seafood udon! Very rich and flavorful! It is pretty hearty too so beware! Their sushi is decent and other small bites aren't terrible. Was an alright experience. Good price for the eel roll and decent price for the yakiniku, but the yakiniku itself wasn't marinated. I would recommend asking them if they can marinate it or providing a sauce on the side.

We had lunch on a Saturday and ordered the Champon, Yama Ramen, Takoyaki, Shrimp Tempura Rolls, Small Tonkotsu Ramen, and Small Miso Ramen. They don't have Shoyu Ramen on their menu, which I usually order. So, I tried their Yama Ramen, but wasn't too crazy about it. There was a lot of ginger in the Tonkotsu. The other dishes were good though. I really enjoyed the Champon and Takoyaki. Service was good.

Love trying new things here. Great food and Friendly staff/management but food comes out a bit late and they don't bring out all orders together. I had to wait like 5-10 mins for a side to come out after I finished my meal. (*) When I used women's restroom to wash my hands, the hot water didn't work. It was freezing cold😢

EDIT: Pictured are Buta-Kakuni and Chicken Kara-age years ago. I have been here many times. I like the Chu-Hi cocktails, which are a lightly alcoholic soda. I generally order Omu rice, Omu curry, or Udon carbonara. The sundae rolls are good too. Service is good, and I have not encountered long waits for a table or any other part of the dine-in experience. This restaurant is still a good option for late night affordable dining in Carrollton.

I use to come to this place all the time back when it was under the name of Sake2Me. It was one of my favorite places to eat so I was a bit sad when it closed down. When I saw this place opened in its place I was excited to try it out since it might be the same chef. I don’t think it was the same chef unfortunately. The portions weren’t as generous as the previous place but it was still good. We ordered two bento boxes and one roll to share each. Bento boxes do not come with both soup and salad like most places do. You choose one. The sushi rolls were tasty and fresh. Bento boxes were good. We got the salmon and it was ok but nothing special. (The best bento box deal is Genroku) The boxes came with the typical fried tempura vegetables, half a California roll, lettuce and lotus slices, and fried tofu in ponzu sauce. The bento box was good but not the best I’ve had although $10 is a great deal. one of the better if not best sushi places in the Carrollton H-Mart area. The restaurant itself was clean and decor was nicely put together. Good place to come eat during lunch as it wasn’t packed. Service was a bit slow but staff was very friendly and progressional.

A Place to Eat Japanese Food Late at Night My daughter and I went out for a late dinner after 11 PM, but most restaurants were already closed. However, this place was open until 2 AM! It was amazing to be able to enjoy Japanese food in the middle of the night. I had creamy seafood udon. The noodles had a nice chewiness and were delicious, though the soup was a bit salty. My daughter ordered ochazuke and mapo tofu. The broth for the ochazuke was quite strong, and she couldn’t eat it. Even for me, as someone familiar with Japanese flavors, the broth was too intense. The mapo tofu, on the other hand, had just the right level of spiciness and was something I’d love to have again. I highly recommend their fish set meals and sushi. If you’re craving Japanese food late at night, this is the place to go!

Ate here for the first time the other day and was super excited! The sushi was amazing. It was perfectly filled and rolled. We had a few different shrimp orders and those were great too! The chicken skin skewer was a little disappointing as it was very small and hard. But other than that it was great. Pricing was pretty good as well and service was friendly. Can’t wait to go back and try out they other food options! Oh and I also loved the vibe of the restaurant, they had movie posters up like Godzilla and cute origami birds hanging from the ceiling in the entrance, how fun!!

Went here late after a Father’s Day kayak trip with my son. It was already about 10:30pm when we stopped at the GWB/I35 location. And 30 minutes to home yet, then kayak unloading with work the next morning. But unlike most restaurants that seem to be in a competition for how much earlier they can close since COVID, Yama is open late! We’ll stop in, get some rolls, be on our way. We got seated right away but the first problem was the temperature. It was freezing. Maybe we were a little damp from being on the river but it was COLD. Oh well, we’ll be in and out quick enough. Wrong! It took like 10 minutes before our server came. Food came in what seemed like a reasonable amount of time compared to the Yama we usually go to. And the food was good. Unlike some sushi, even at our regular Yama, spicy was actually spicy! No problem with the food only the service. When we were done, it seemed like another 15-20 before anyone came by to check and see if we needed the bill. And then forever again until she returned with it. She did come by while we were eating to check on drinks. Good waitstaff would take a mental note of whether we were almost done and return soon. What should’ve taken 45-60 minutes took 90. What’s more this is the only time my credit card has left my hand or wallet in the last month and 4 days after our visit here, I started getting fraudulent charges to places I didn’t visit and haven’t visited for more than 5 years ago. Can’t be certain the theft of my card info happened here. But she was gone for far too long to run the card ad bring the receipt to sign. But then again she was slow about everything. Just beware. The location off GWB and I-35 might have someone with a card reader, copying your card when they take it and run it for the bill.

Just so-so sushi restaurants. Clean : 5 stars Server attitude: 5 stars Food quality : 2 stars Price compared to food quality : 2 stars I will visit again if I feel like sushi but don't want to drive around. It's not worth driving to here.

Probably the WORST customer service I’ve experienced in a while , we waited about 15 minutes before I had to go FIND our server , after our order was taken and food came out we were never checked On for drink refills , except when we asked for our checks . Busy joint with energetic vibe and good service. My sister brought us here during our visit. Yakitori was okay, the chicken skin was way over cooked. Pretty good sweet shrimps, love the crispy heads as they were really tasty. We also tried the fried oysters, grilled octopus and scallops sashimi. Overall okay food but definitely a cool and lively izakaya to chill out and have a bite.

Been there a few times before pandemic, food quality was very good. However, our most recent visit, food only okay. Ramen almost inedible, noodle too soft, broth has no flavor. Also ordered unagi rice set, taste wise was okay, but missing steamed egg and sushi roll that came with the set before. Service is kind of lacking, wait starts like to chat among themselves instead attending to customers. It's not the worst nor a bad Japanese restaurant, but there's plenty other better option out there.

Tried a variety of sushi, the chicken karage, French fries, miso soup with tofu, salad, and the seafood udon. The most memorable item was the seafood udon. It tasted amazing. It’s similar to Alfredo but imagine less of the bland cheesy taste and more.. of a balanced taste. The udon noodles were the perfect texture and snappy. We ordered to share but next time I’d get one of my own. This would be the only dish I’d really order again if I come back. Highlight of the night. Miso soup with tofu was okay. There were barely any tofu slices and they were pretty small. Salad was good. The dressing is unique. Hard to describe. The French fries came out hot and tasted good. They were a little on the thicker side (compared to fast food) and was seasoned well. Chicken karage was good. Crispy. Some parts were more meaty than others. The lemon slice and dip helped bring out more flavors. There wasn’t a memorable sushi I had. They were all good I guess except for the fact that I got food poisoning afterwards. My stomach ached, I couldn’t sleep, and I spent hours in the restroom getting it all out.

Food good, service bad. Asked me for drinks, took my order, and checked me out. Never in between checked up on me or asked me if we were okay. 0 times. Server was definently checking up on the others around us though. Maybe it's because me and my date look young. The busgirl came to our table more than our server. Still tipped because I've been in the restaurant industry for 10 years now, I just hope that all of our tip goes to the busgirl.

Attended the Tuna cutting AYCE special with my husband, the show was ok and the tuna quality was good and fresh, but the experience and the presentation were very disappointing. The tuna cutting show started at 630pm sharp but our first order only got delivered at 735pm. There’s a restriction of 10 pieces per order per table and we could only order after we finish our food, yet it took an average of 15mins to deliver, even if it’s just 10 pieces of sashimi …. And yes the tuna was fresh and good quality however the nigiri and handrolls were terribly made - they simply falling apart. That’s why we mainly ordered sashimi - they were terribly cut too btw - in all sorta shapes and thickness. I’ve never been to a AYCE experience that’s so not enjoyable, and it’s 90$ per head. The 2 stars are for the tuna quality.

Stopped by one evening after hearing about their $1 nigiri sushi. Right off the bat after stepping inside, the music was way too loud for a restaurant environment. Their nigiri sushi were smaller than most other sushi joints but then again they were dollar specials. The udon carbonara was decent but way too overpriced for a few pieces of bacon and udon noodles. The tonkotsu ramen wasn't good at all, just didn't taste right overall. The chashu pork that came along was decent but was just a few couple small cuts. It's not terrible and we really wanted to enjoy this spot, but it just didn't work for us.

The only reason Yama Izakaya & Sushi is receiving 2 stars is because we enjoyed their Omurice, everything else was horrible. We showed up around 1:05 & they said they did last call already but they will allow us to order togo. Sure everyone was hungry so we went ahead & ordered: 3 omurice 2 yellowtail belly 2 seared foie gras 1 double pleasure roll 1 three of a kind roll 1 mopu tofu soup The first thing we all tried was the omurice- which isn’t authentic but it was still good. The tofu soup was just OK. The downfall was the entire sushi order. We unfortunately ate the foie gras before taking the picture & it was incredibly dry & burnt! $8/one piece you would expect it to be juicy. The yellowtail belly tasted like a regular cut of yellowtail & lacked the softness & flavor of a typical belly. The rolls were terrible, the green (wasabi?) sauce tasted like straight wasabi, and as you can see in the picture one roll is drowned in it. Overall the food was horrible & we did not finish it. $105 in the trash, we should have done a more reliable late night meal like IHOP or Whataburger. UPDATE: 2 of us have food poisoning symptoms now. We will be calling the establishment in the morning.

2 things I was so happy about .. bathroom ! Is Japanese toilet TOTO, so the toilet is warm and very nice. It has of curse washret !!!! I love Japanese bathroom so comfortable, cannot find much places. Second thing is good varieties such as carbonara udon, omurice. Taste was depends on food from okay taste is yummy. But price is little over price. Much much much better than 1 st Yama location green bell. Inside is clean and wide, decoration is Japanese style and clean. But I gave before 4 star but I changed mind to write 2 star I ordered 3 times “Yamakake” every time super different portion lol one time is a lot, second time is too little, they told me THIS IS OFFICIAL SIZE but another day I asked sushi chef, they basically did not scale the amount every time. Service is horrible, no customer, food is every time different, what a restaurant!

The food was decent. There was not much flavor or anything special. The only dish I enjoyed was the udon noodle dish with shrimp and their sauce that tasted like Alfredo. Aside from that, I'm not a fan.

Atmosphere is above average, service is average but since this is a restaurant, the main thing I was looking for is quality of food. Their sushi was no better than Sam's clubs. Their ramen was incredible...The noodles were stuck together, the meat was cold, the broth wasn't just bad, it was more like colored water, both in terms of taste and texture, and none of this is hyperbolic. Don't come here!!!

Very disappointed. Their online ad of $1 sushi and $10 udon is a lie. They don't you the dollar sushi is 10 pieces minimum and their curry udon isn't part of the $10 special even though it was clearly listed. We had to wait a long time even though there were only 2 parties in front of us. And we were completely ignored for 5 minutes until we flagged someone down to order. Staff walked by us during that 5 minutes and didn't even offer us water. Overall, the service was bare minimum - take our order, give us food, give us bill. The deception already sour the experience and the food isn't even here yet. The food was nothing special when it finally arrived. You can get the same quality or better quality Japanese food at other Japanese restaurants.

I'm gonna be so honest when I say I had a crappy experience today. I used to frequent here every other weekend with a friend of mine and we loved it! It was pretty common of their quality to be inconsistent based on the day, but it wasn't a really big deal until it reached a bit of a new low today. The sushi itself was flavorless and odd, the onigiri was bland down to through the meat of it, and the rice itself ended up being impressively overcooked and undercooked at the same time. The water tasted and smelled of a sewer for whatever reason and all in all it felt like an absolute waste of 60 bucks. Unfortunately the the final straw ended up being our server Akane, who was oddly dismissive and gave us judgmental looks every time she visited the table. If you want a good experience, go to the Plano location.

First-time experience here and definitely won't be returning. The waitress was incredibly rude. The spicy crayfish had a foul odor, and my friend almost threw up after trying it. When we informed the waitress, she didn't apologize and simply offered a replacement without any sincerity. WTH???? We requested that she inform the chef to prevent others from being served the same dish, but she rudely took it away and said that she removed it from our bill. We received no water or any other service, making it the worst food and service combination. It seems like they utilize "$1 Sushi Wednesday" to dispose of old, undesirable food. I've never skipped tipping, but this place doesn't deserve a cent.

TLDR: Seemingly raw chicken skewer met with bad attitude and otherwise mid food. Don’t trust the food influencer promotions. We came here after seeing some food influencers post about the “rebranding” and had a lackluster experience that turned bad. We ordered the chirashi, 3 chicken yakitori, and an omurice. 1. The chicken yakitori pieces were the issue. We had one skewer where the texture felt off and upon inspection it looked a little pink/raw. We waved for a waitress and an older lady came and we mentioned this and she promptly said “the food is cooked” without even looking at the skewer. Even if it wasn’t raw her attitude was upsetting - an honest restaurant would at least look, apologize, take it back, offer a replacement, or perhaps take it off the receipt. We didn’t argue or complain further since we’re not looking for trouble, but it definitely leave a good impression. 2. The omurice was fairly good, yummy but not special in any way. 3. The chirashi was $32 so I expected some substantial pieces but there weren’t that many pieces and the quality/freshness of the fish just wasn’t there. Not quite off-putting but just not anything worth getting especially for the price. I get better quality pieces for cheaper at Koi, which is across the street of the plaza. Bottom line don’t recommend wasting money here with all the better food options around the area.

We were seated as soon as we walked in as it wasn’t super packed, but nearly 20 minutes later no one even came by our table to take our order or bring us any water. We eventually just left without anyone even noticing.

I used to like coming here especially since the sushi is decent and they try to give an authentic flavor. However one night I was eating at the restaurant with my girl, everything was all good until I saw a roach come out from under our seating on the floor. A big one. I know that all restaurants are dirty as I’ve worked in a restaurant business before, however seeing the roach was disgusting and I do not plan on going back after that. I killed the roach and let the waitress know and the guests next to us laughed about it. No big deal. Even though not all restaurants are perfectly clean, there should be an effort to keep out pests.

We came in expecting a pleasant dining experience, but the service was awful. The staff was rude, dismissive, and showed a very poor attitude. There was no apology or attempt to make things right. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of customer service.

The food here was very disappointing. The raw sushi we ordered was served at room temperature with a chewy texture, which is a clear sign of poor quality. I eat sushi frequently, so I can confidently say this was not fresh or properly prepared. When we addressed the issue, the server only offered half off the dish—even though we spit out the fish because it was inedible. That response alone showed a lack of customer care. I typically give positive reviews when food and service are good, but in this case, I can’t recommend this place. Between the subpar food and poor handling of the situation, the experience was mediocre at best.

Not welcoming, when you have any kids. Came once with group from work. Then once with my wife. I came again 3rd time with my wife and 3 older kids. I was given horrible customer service at the door. Told me they were busy and we would have to wait which was fine. Then Continued to sit others of same party size that came after us , as I was standing there. Then when I asked why we weren't sat they gave us the cold shoulder. We decided to just leave. I will not be returning. We went to sushi Kushi a block away and were treated like family and have been over 10 times with no issues.i do not recommend going to this restaurant as they do not treat everyone as equal customers.

The food was absolutely awful. My boyfriend and I both got ramen - the miso and tonkotsu ramen. Both dishes tasted like soap and the consistency and quality of the food was atrocious. His egg was too runny and mine was fully hard boiled - NOT how ramen eggs are supposed to be. How does one bring two very similar dishes to the same table and they’re cooked differently? That’s like two people at one table asking for a medium steak and they get two steaks that are well done and rare. Talk about inconsistency… Our server didn’t even come up to us once to ask how we’re doing because truly, we would’ve handed the food back to her. But she was no where to be found. So we decided to take it to go and trash it later. I hate writing negative reviews but I don’t recommend this place and would rather people not spend their hard earned money here. What a disappointment. A mistake to go on a date here.

Both me and my friend threw up AT THE RESTARAUNT after eating the spicy miso. Food is spoiled. Fish for the sushi roll and sashimi didn't taste fresh. Will never come here again.
