Eccellente in tutto.
A welcoming atmosphere, a traditional Lombard menu with a modern twist. A pleasant break, I'll be back!
Typical local tavern, dated but well-kept, efficient and friendly staff, we had a lovely day.
We were at this restaurant about two weeks ago, on a Friday night! Risotto with ossobuco, a vegetarian appetizer, and a superb boiled meat!! We ate divinely!!! We talked with the owner for a long time and really enjoyed ourselves! Besides the delicious food, wonderful people!! See you soon!
The ossobuco with Milanese risotto was outstanding, the Milanese cutlet was incredibly tender, and the portions were generous. The staff was efficient and friendly. A must-have.
If there were 10 stars, I would have given them 10. The dishes were delicious, homemade, with polenta prepared in every way imaginable, and a remarkable risotto with ossobuco. Not only that...there was wonderful customer service, without ever being intrusive. My wife is pregnant, and they were careful even with the parsley and raw lemon zest placed on the risotto, or the polenta placed on the radicchio. Plus, there were thorough explanations of all the dishes. It was a great pleasure to have lunch here, highly recommended.
Slow Food Presidia and Tradition with a capital T. The platters were excellent (we tried giant Bergamasca sheep and wild boar). The risotto alla Milanese with ossobuco was excellent. I even had a second helping of the pisarei alla Piacentina!! Delicious and highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.
This is a local family owned restaurant with a traditional style interior with some nice touches of old photo's on the wall and other antique accesories. Ideal for an intimate dinner or a bigger group as the restaurant 9s split in 2 rooms. Me and my boyfriend ( Italian) and his family have eaten at this restaurant multiple times. The staff is very friendly. The menu changes with the seasons or even more often, so perfect to come back again and again. The food is traditional Italian, local and always super 🤤. This time we both had a primi ( risotto with castagne and grapes, me a pasta called pizzoccheri, pasta with cheese and potato) . As a secondo we had cheese and salumi cinghiale. At other occasions I have eaten the cotoletta milanese or a beautiful steak. Especially for cheese lovers this is the place to be! Always make sure you keep space for dessert. The grand dessert is my favourite 😁
A great discovery! A typical Lombard restaurant, serving traditional dishes that are truly well-prepared and tasty (goose cassoeula, risotto, everything). All this in a spacious, pleasant setting with friendly, competent, and courteous service. The cheese selection is excellent. The prices, in my opinion, are very reasonable. I will definitely return and recommend it.
We had a wonderful time! My girlfriend and I came here and ordered: - exceptional mixed platter of cured meats and cheeses - she had very good ravioli - I had a sliced Fassona beef with a chocolate and chili pepper sauce. Truly spectacular, I've rarely eaten meat like this - homemade millefeuille for dessert Along with a bottle of wine A well-deserved 5 stars, I'm curious to return to try other "slow food" dishes!
Prepare to enter a timeless atmosphere; the setting is reminiscent of an old Milanese tavern, complete with photos from the past. The service was attentive, and the staff were courteous and helpful. The wine list is more than excellent, and the dishes are a delight. If you want to sample old, traditional flavors, you've come to the right place. Kudos to the owners; we'll gladly return.
We stumbled upon it by chance at 9:30 PM on a Saturday because we wanted something to eat after a day of work and other places on the street were too busy. I was surprised by the excellent food: we ordered fried snails and a warm shrimp and calamari salad as appetizers. The latter amazed me: a simple dish with a perfect balance of delicate, delicious flavors, along with tender calamari...a delight. Followed by tagliatelle and risotto: obviously, if you want risotto, you have to wait, but I found it perfect. Here, too, what I appreciated most was how the ingredients blended so beautifully, creating a delicate, harmonious flavor. Given the excellent quality, my husband ordered a dessert, which was very good, and I asked for cheese for dessert since they have some specialty cheeses on the menu. My choice puzzled the waiter, who informed me that the kitchen was closed. Instead, a plate of two intense, soft goat cheeses arrived, accompanied by walnuts, pear slices, and samples of various sauces—some sweet, one spicy, and one hazelnut. I would never have thought of pairing the cheese with a hazelnut spread, but it was delicious. A place that emphasizes quality, sourcing the finest ingredients, attention to detail, and excellent preparation. We're not big wine connoisseurs, but we felt there was a certain level of expertise here, too. Furthermore, eavesdropping while the owner chatted with other customers, I heard how they seek out excellent local products and, I believe, synergies with local producers. Definitely worth returning.
A beautiful place, friendly, very helpful, and competent staff, average value for money, very good, high-quality food, definitely recommended, plus pets are allowed. The only downside is that the pissarei were a bit small considering it's an osteria, but otherwise everything was truly excellent. For three of us, we spent €84, ordering wine, water, a risotto with zola, walnuts, and pears, the pissarei, the Fassona triangles with dark chocolate cream, and finally two desserts: a chocolate mousse and a mint tiramisu, and two coffees. Everything was truly local quality, absolutely recommended. The staff's courtesy also deserves a special mention.
Here I ate the inimitable cotoletta alla milanese, thick, bone-in, breaded in egg, and cooked in clarified butter. Delicious. It melted in my mouth like butter. Exceptional, but, in my opinion, expensive. €60/kg. It's worth noting that the prices are transparent, and the waiter lists the weight of each piece to the nearest gram (he offered me a choice between a 395g and a 400g one), demonstrating great professionalism.
The set lunch menu is uninspiring, with a limited selection of standard, home-style dishes. The service is friendly, but for the same price, you can find more varied, plentiful, and, above all, distinctive cuisine. Before opting for a vaguely defined slow food scene, an Italian diner simply wants to eat enough and with a stimulating variety.
Terrible business lunch, with overcooked "bresaola amatriciana" pasta (sic!) and two (counted) chicken drumsticks. We left even hungrier than before! There were only two customers in the room...not to be repeated, despite the Slow Food reviews. Hopefully the food will be better in the evening...who knows?
