No happy hour even no specials on taco Tuesday. But the food is good a little smaller portions so not great for big eaters. We had the elite corn, guac, and salsa all 3 delicious. Entrees the short rib enchiladas, fajitas, grilled avocado salad, lobster tacos , margarita flight, spicy marg not on the menu and a pineapple marg
1,000% worth the wait!! We went on a Monday night and waited about an hour but it was completely worth the wait. The restaurant is on a main strip so you can walk around and shop while you wait. Our waitress was wonderful and very knowledgeable of the menu and their offerings, and the food came out very fast! The cocktails were phenomenal - everything tasted very fresh. The serving sizes were generous and I loved their matte black dish ware! This restaurant will be a staple every time I return to Palm Springs!
Drinks were tasty! Tres Agaves margarita was delicious, but the mezcal made it a bit too smoky. Also had the margarita flight, I was impressed on the quality of each margarita, they all tasted distinct, the prickly pear was the most balanced and tasty. The ceviche trio was really good, lots of avocado, nice acidity and not overly sour. The fish, shrimp and octopus tasted fresh. The carne asada tacos are delish, highly recommend. The grilled shrimp tacos come in a close second, lots of shrimp with great flavor, plus crema and avocado. I’d skip the carnitas tacos. They were ok, not amazing, I’d get another order of carne or shrimp instead. Service was great, the restaurant was packed at 5pm on a Saturday. I’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town.
We had lunch here with kids ( adolescents), everyone enjoyed the ambiance, great service and food. Cocktails and Mocktails were pretty good and the vegan options were amazing. We came back for dinner on that same day and that was the best Mexican one ever. Love this place!
We went tel days in a row. We enjoyed it that much. Very dog friendly on patio. Staff are so lovely. The margarita flight is a must. The ceviche is 10/10. Everytime we come to Palm Springs we go here. We dream about the corn dip it is that good !! Highly recommend booking on open table as it gets busy
First time visiting this restaurant, and I went on a busy Saturday night not really knowing what to expect. I’ve had my fair share of mediocre Mexican dishes before, so I walked in honestly expecting something average. But wow… I was completely wrong. Let me start with the margarita flight. SO good. They had the perfect balance. It was smooth, refreshing, and honestly set the tone for the entire night. From that first sip, I had a feeling this place was going to deliver. We ordered the crab cakes first and they were absolutely fantastic. Flavorful, fresh, and cooked just right. Then came the shrimp fajitas and shrimp tacos — oh my goodness. Everything was seasoned so well and tasted like it was made with real care. Every bite was just good. The only downside was where we were seated. I really wanted to sit inside, but that didn’t happen. However, even with it being busy, the customer service was solid and attentive. Overall, the food was absolutely delicious and completely exceeded my expectations. I’m genuinely excited to come back and try more items on the menu. Highly recommend if you’re looking for Mexican food that actually delivers on flavor.
Great atmosphere and service. Food was spectacular. I highly recommend this place. It’s busy so prepare to wait to get in but once inside order a flight of margaritas and nachos to get started.
Walked in here randomly on a Tuesday afternoon. What got me to go in was the name. I had a good feeling they had tequila! Haha. I sat at the bar for some drinks and lunch. amazing staff members with great drink and food recommendations. I will definitely be back to try more stuff the food was very tasty and looked picture perfect. I ordered the chips with quac, the salmon was fresh and delicious! Oh and don't forget about dessert. The nice bartender recommended the vegan option fruit tart which completely blew my mind! And oh my the drinks!!!!
Tac/Quila was incredible! We were seated on the extra outdoor patio, which was totally fine and still a great atmosphere. The margaritas were INSANELY good!! Easily some of the best I’ve ever had. We started with a fresh, delicious salad, and the enchiladas were unreal… truly the best I’ve ever had anywhere. The barbacoa plate had the most amazing flavor, hands down the best barbacoa I’ve ever tasted. The service was quick and attentive without feeling rushed, which made the whole experience even better. Every dish was fresh, bold, and absolutely packed with flavor. Can’t wait to come back!
My husband found a fabulous restaurant for lunch in downtown Palm Springs. We loved the atmosphere, the excellent cocktails and the delicious food at Tac/Quila. We sat in the courtyard and Fernando took great care of us. He made suggestions for cocktails since we were having a hard time, and both of us enjoyed what we ordered. Hubby had the Te Enamore, a mezcal whiskey cocktail. I had the Mezcalita, a mezcal orange liquor cocktail. We shared the whitefish ceviche, which was a generous portion of bass, so fresh and delicious. Hubby had the short rib tacos and I had the carne asada tacos. Flavor levels were elevated and on point for both of our taco selections. Fernando was personable and friendly and added to our dining experience. We noticed that Tac Quila is Michelin rated and listed in the guide for the past four or five years - it figures with the elevated Mexican cuisine and cocktails. If you’re ever in Palm Springs, I highly recommend this restaurant.
My husband and I loved the atmosphere and vibe on the beautiful outdoor back patio. Perfect temperature and comfortable seating. Our server Lulu was attentive and friendly. My husband loved his shrimp dish and my tacos were good, too, but could have been hotter. The refrescado cucumber margarita was refreshing and beautiful. They gave my husband a complimentary flan dessert for his birthday. Very nice!
Upscale Mexican restaurant with unique cocktails and a wide menu of authentic classics and new twists. The Te Enamore is a smokey-sweet cocktail with herbal notes. The Tres Agaves brings a sweet heat from the Serrano infused tequila. The carnitas street tacos are packed with slow roasted pork and need nothing more than a squeeze of fresh lime to balance and bring out their full flavor. I was delighted by the tempura avocado - it's fried perfection with pickled onion and their savory sauce. The gentleman next to us at the bar had the stuffed peppers that he said were a dish he orders every time he visits. He also ordered the Posole and was impressed with the depth of flavor.
We’ve had Mexican food in Mexico, in Los Angeles and this was one of the best meals we’ve had!!! The service was amazing: very attentive, friendly and helpful when we needed recommendations. The place is beautifully designed with authentic Mexican music playing in the background. Each dish we had was delicious, interesting, served nicely and in ample quantity. The drinks too were absolutely delicious. All in all we’re definitely going to be back! Highly recommend!!!
A true Palm Springs gem! Along with their other restaurants—The Farm, Front Door, and Clandestino—this is a well-run eatery with exceptional attention to detail. The menu is a delightful surprise. If you're expecting typical Mexican-American fare, you'll be pleasantly surprised instead—this is an elevated menu with a more authentic Mexican sensibility. While traditional offerings are available, they rise well above the usual fajita/burrito/taco combos you'd find elsewhere. Be sure to try the tempura-fried avocados! The combination of spicy sauce, thyme-pickled onions, and cabbage slaw creates an absolute flavor bomb. The cocktail program is equally impressive, offering creative original drinks with something for everyone, not just tequila enthusiasts. The indoor-outdoor atmosphere is a joy, with stylish décor and art throughout. This is a place you shouldn't miss if you're in town for the weekend.
Where to begin. Located in downtown Palm Springs, this Mexican restaurant is incredible. It is, by far the best Mexican place I have had the pleasure in which to eat. The service was prompt and helpful. The food was spot on. The short rib enchilada was tender and the sauce was very complimentary. The quesabirria has a nice crisp to it and a delicious broth. On to dessert. I was talked into the churro ice cream sandwich and my wife had the fruit tart. The churro was definitely worth it though I was very tempted by the tres leches and aroz con leche. The churro had a nice crisp and a really sweet and cinnamon flavour profile. The tart has a coconut custard, plenty of fruit and a really nice almond peanut butter cup which has the texture of a brittle or maybe a tweel. Everything was executed very well. Can't wait to eat here again.
Delicious elevated food. We had great service and enjoyed every moment of our evening once seated. They do not take reservations for smaller parties and do not allow you to enjoy their bar while you’re waiting. Your only choice is to walk around the neighborhood, stand on the sidewalk or wait in your car.
One of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to so far. The wait was too long so we sat at the bar but even then we had an amazing experience. The service, food and drinks were all above expectations. We had the tempura avocado bites, sea bass, short rib enchiladas, and Mexican corn. Would definitely come back if I visit Palm Springs again.
I have eaten a 3-star Michelin restaurants in Paris, Chicago, Copenhagen, and NYC and the only place I would even consider in the same ballpark might be Geranium.\n\nIs it ever going to get 3 stars? …

A gem in Palm Springs! Great drinks and food in a nice space. The service is pretty good and helpful. The margarita flight is really tasty and highly recommend as they are all well made and delish! The Short Rib Enchiladas were my favorite dish. The Garlic Shrimp was a bit too oily and too buttery where it was a bit overwhelming. Other than that, great spot and would visit again!
This spot is right on the main strip in Palm Springs and works well for groups. We celebrated birthdays at our table, and the experience was smooth and well run. People at our table ordered margaritas and enjoyed them. Nearby, there was a bachelorette party and another table ordering tequila flights! I didn’t drink, but the food was vegetarian-friendly. I tried a corn appetizer and two salads, and there were options like jackfruit tacos, nachos, enchiladas and shareable plates. Service was friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere. Works well for a group dinner, date night, or casual lunch. Would recommend. Make reservations.
Food ordered: taco chips, grilled lobster taco, stuffed poblano pepper Drinks ordered: jalapeño and watermelon margaritas Overall, the food was really good, the service was impeccable, and the back patio was such a vibe! The food was hot, fresh, and delicious (even for vegetarians, so many options!) and our water glasses were never empty. Can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in the desert! 🏜️
We were off to a rough start when we got to Tac/Quila, despite having a reservation. Figuring out our table was a struggle - they had an umbrellaed front patio with misters for the heat, a covered greenhouse-like seating area with fans, and an air conditioned inside. The bar was INCREDIBLY loud, and we would have had to wait for an indoor seat in their dining area, so alas we sat out on the fanned porch seating. It was quite hot that day but where we were sitting gave us some indoor air conditioning as a reprieve. Our server was lovely and super helpful making recommendations for us first-timers. We got the beer battered avocado wedges which were massive and had a fantastic dipping sauce. Fun and unique. She also recommended any dish with steak in it since it was such a highlight, so we ordered the carne asada tacos and the verde chicken enchiladas. Both were EXCEPTIONAL. The enchiladas weren’t skimpy with the meat or the sauce which was perfect. The two tacos came with rice and beans but the star was the carne asada. The corn tortillas were filled to the brim with meat which was cooked perfectly and super flavorful. It came with salsa and little ramekin of guacamole but you needed neither to enhance the taco. The food was amazing, service lovely, but the setup of us getting to that point was so haphazard that we couldn’t give this a five.
