Sono veramente, ma veramente rimasto meravigliato da questa osteria! Situata in un paesino chiamato Cavaglià, in provincia di Biella, ti fa fare un salto indietro nel tempo, nella tradizione culinaria piemontese, e direi anche "architettonica", perché gli interni sono veramente belli, sprigionano storia e ripeto, tradizione! Già all'ingresso, l'accoglienza è stata veramente calorosa, la cameriera (e penso titolare), è stata veramente gentile, educata! Persona molto in gamba e competente(nulla da togliere al resto dell'entourage), roba del tipo che si ricordava a menadito tutti gli antipasti, primi, secondi e vini, pazzesco! Ho preso una buonissima Panissa, veramente buona, e solo con quella porzione abbondante, ero più che apposto. Il cameriere è stato veramente gentile e disponibile, ci ha grattugiato nel piatto il formaggio, con una grattugia veramente particolare. Si nota la ricerca del dettaglio, e lo si capisce dagli interni e dai vari oggetti disposti, dal cesto del pane e dei grissini, e ultima ma non meno importante la cura del cliente, si viene ascoltati sui propri gusti e ti trovi un graditissimo interlocutore, che oltre a fare il suo lavoro, scherza e ride con te come fosse un amico! Siamo entrati con l'intento di fare un pranzo di lavoro, abbiano leggermente sforato, ma ne è valsa la pena! Effettivamente è sconsigliato per un pranzo di lavoro, e ci credo, con la qualità che offrono chiaramente non posso far pagare il tutto 10€! Lo consiglio a tutti, e sicuramente passerò un'altra volta e proverò altro! Complimenti
Scelto per caso, felice di averlo fatto. Sono stata ripagata della scelta in modo sublime. Cucina piemontese raffinata. Location molto accogliente ed in tema con il nome dato. Piatti che hanno soddisfatto in modo eccelso le mie papille gustative. La proprietaria spiega a voce tutto il menù, top davvero. Prezzi in linea con la qualità e il servizio. Se passate da quelle parti fateci un salto ne vale davvero la pena.
Posto pazzesco! Cibo, particolarità del ristorante e gentilezza del personale hanno reso la serata magnifica. Ne vale veramente la pena!
Locale romantico, bella atmosfera, curato e con una cucina di un livello super: menù tipico piemontese ma con dettagli moderni e studio dei piatti e dei sapori veramente attento. Ottimi vini ed il servizio in sala perfetto. Siamo stati piacevolmente stupiti.
Sono stata in questo carinissimo ristorante per un pranzo. L'ambiente è molto bello e curato, il personale cordiale e molto attento. Cucina tipica piemontese di alto livello e con una bella presentazione. Porzioni abbondanti, ci tornerò molto volentieri.
Siamo stati Stupendamente. All'entrata siamo stati accolti da Carlo, il ragazzo che lavora all'interno, con un mega sorriso, difficile di questi tempi nella ristorazione. Ci ha fatto sedere in un dehors esterno, fatto di vetrate, molto molto bello, che si affaccia su una piazzetta caratteristica. Il menù ci è stato spiegato a voce da una Signora, o Signorina, anch'essa molto sorridente. Abbiamo mangiato e soprattutto bevuto molto Bene, non c'è stata una virgola fuori posto. Grazie di Tutto
È un posto molto elegante e raffinato, con un bel dehor che affaccia sulla piazzetta del paese. Potrebbe essere leggermente più caro della media (relativamente poi) ma si mangia proprio bene. Vitello tonnato e fiori di zucca ottimi, agnolotti e tagliolini ai funghi sublimi. Torneremo
A very beautiful and well-maintained restaurant, with a lovely terrace where we ate. Excellent food, an ideal place for those wanting to try typical Piedmontese dishes. We recommend the mixed appetizers (see photo). The waiters were extremely kind, professional, and always smiling; it was a real pleasure! The only downside is that the menu is listed directly at your table, which can be a bit confusing given the large number of first and second courses. Furthermore, this way, you don't know the actual price of the dishes.
A welcoming, well-kept, and clean location. Impeccable service...the waiter is always smiling and polite. Authentic cuisine with excellent quality products. If you want to be pampered and feel unique, this is the place for you. I highly recommend it 🤩
Today, Monday, September 29, 2025, we had lunch with friends, enjoying an excellent appetizer, panissa, sliced steak with mushrooms, dessert, and coffee. Barbera /Nebbiolo wine. Mr. Carlo served us, very attentive and professional. Everything was excellent! Compliments to Mrs. Monica, who takes great care of every detail of the restaurant. Comfortable parking in the square, well-kept place, beautiful covered terrace, excellent service, prompt and smiling waiters, they immediately bring a nice plate of bread and focaccia, as well as offering biscuits at the end... the food is very good, I had tagliolini with mushrooms and meat morsels with spinach, all tasty... among the desserts there is the legendary torta 900 di balla (Ivrea)... obviously this excellent level is reflected in the price, the second courses especially are very expensive... but there your choice, recommended experience

Delightful spot in centre of a little town. Has both a modern space and inside more traditional decor/spaces. Service was very friendly and accommodating with small quiet dog. Food was splendid and abundant. Highly recommend if enroute to Aosta.
This is a typical Piemontese restaurant. You can find season dishes of these areas. The food is of high quality and the service is one of the best I had in some time.

Una vera sorpresa dopo almeno una 10 di tentativi siamo riusciti a prenotare un tavolo nel dehors protetto adiacente alla bellissima piazza centrale di Cavaglia’. Simpatia, leggerezza, decoro e una allegra convivialita fanno da cornice ad una cucina attenta, generosa e di materie prime all’altezza. Sembra che nulla sia lasciato al caso. Antipasti da tradizione ( ottimo vitel tonne) primi e secondi classici, dolci in linea. Ottimo!
Ottima cucina piemontese in un locale gradevole. Il piatto degli antipasti veramente notevole. Gentilissimi i proprietari. Peccato che i due calici di nebbiolo fossero fondi di bottiglia e che, nonostante il fatto fosse fatto notare, siano stati messi in conto.
Locale accogliente e suggestivo, vieni ben accolto e consigliato sul cibo ed il vino da abbinare, in una sterminata scelta, divisa per regioni. Il menù viene recitato a voce, e benché non ritenga sia il miglior modo di proporre le proprie specialità, sono rimasto entrambe le volte molto soddisfatto. Ampia scelta di piatti, molto ben cucinati ed originali; prezzi medio-alti. Tornerò senz'altro.

Very tasty, very good.. Very expensive. The lunch menu is only told by the waitress, no reading one. So you are not aware of the price. Food is good but 30 euro for a beef filet for lunch (no wine) and dessert sounds a bit too much.
DUE ORE per avere due portate a testa (2 antipasti: giardiniera+carne cruda, giardiniera+insalata russa+vitello tonnato) (1 tagliolino porcini, 1 lepre civet) di cibi che si presumono già pronti, attese insopportabili e nessuno viene mai al tavolo a dire qualcosa. Un servizio efficiente ed attento alle persone sarebbe gradito almeno quanto la qualità delle materie prime, la loro preparazione, il prezzo...
Si presenta come una trattoria, ma i prezzi un po meno. Servizio molto lento. Solo per ordinare ci abbiamo messo un ora, ovviamente finendo l'acqua e due piatti del pane per la fame. Il locale era al quanto vuoto, quindi il problema non era neanche la quantità di gente. Ci hanno sistemato in verande chiusa un caldo da mal di testa, e con solo due tavoli di persone il rumore era assordante. Dopo un ora abbondante senza neanche aver visto il menù, si presenta una donnina con uno sguardi inquietante e inizia ad elencare i piatti, io purtroppo non riesco a decidere se non ho iun pezzo di carta in mano. Va be pendo la cosa più semplicemente per non sbagliare. Passa ancora 40 minuti, arriva il tutto. Il cibo è buono ma niente di speciale. Abbiamo la brutta idea di chiedere il dolce, prima c'è il problema di intercettare il cameriere, passa del tempo ordiniamo il dolce sempre a voce. 9 euro una fetta di pandispagna al cioccolato salvato. A quel punto ormai pasate 3 ore per un piatto di pasta e una fetta di torta abbiamo in cassa . La prima cosa che ci chiede è se vogliamo lo scontrini, che ovviamente non ci fa. In soldoni 82 euro in due per un piatto di ravioli , acqua e fetta di torta. A il coperto è di 4 euro.
Beware, this restaurant is operating in violation of the law and is completely dishonest. We entered this restaurant yesterday based on a generic menu posted on the door that read "first courses €15." Once inside, they seated us, and a very shrewd lady listed the few dishes we could order, since we are vegetarians, without giving us a written menu or even a price. Based on the price posted outside, we ordered two tagliolini with truffles. Unfortunately, at checkout, we were charged €40 each instead of €15, claiming it was an off-menu dish. Now, I'm not disputing the price of the dish, but the policy of this restaurant is completely dishonest. I actually tried to raise the matter the next day (I didn't want to cause a controversy in front of the other customers), but they wouldn't listen, thus confirming the lady's bad faith. She wouldn't even let me speak on the phone to express my opinion, coming across as very arrogant and rude. The law is clear and requires that the menu be displayed both outside the restaurant and handed to the customer, and must also include any extra dishes, which wasn't done. I personally didn't ask the price of the dish, because I thought it was included in the "first course" section on the door. I therefore strongly advise against this restaurant because you risk very high, and especially unexpected, bills. In fact, I paid €92 for two paltry tagliolini with truffle (by the way, the truffle is usually sliced in front of the customer) and a water. The most annoying thing is that you feel truly robbed, as well as treated badly, because they didn't want to find a solution in any way, despite the obvious mistake. They even managed to tell me (so they're also billiard players) that the price was listed on the wine list, but they never gave it to me, especially since I didn't drink the wine, being a teetotaler. After speaking with locals, they confirmed the restaurant's reputation, so I recommend you skip it.
