It's very cozy and the customer service was excellent. I didn't know her name but whoever was at the register was very helpful. Everything I had was good. I had Chicharron, rice and beans, baked chicken and empanadas.
Ingrid’s in Central Valley is the real deal. The food is straight-up delicious—authentic Dominican/latin dishes that taste just like home. Everything’s seasoned perfectly, the portions are solid, and the vibe is super welcoming. You can tell they put love into every plate. If you’re in the area and want some legit Dominican/latin food, this is 100% the spot. No doubt, 110% recommend to anyone.
Let’s start off with the Lemonade, because even that was a 10/10!! 🍋 Freshly squeezed and sweetend to perfection! We went to Ingrids Chicharrones for the first time yesterday and everything was DELICOUS!! 🤤🤤🤤 Portions are great, food was AMAZING and staff was so nice!! Just what we needed around here!! Breakfast, lunch & dinner menu!! Its right across the street from Smith Clove Elementary. I HIGHLY recommend it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Update…. Tonight we got the roast pork family meal and let me tell you this was 100% the best roast pork I have ever had!! Never disappointed. We will be back soon! I don’t know what I like better, the amazing food or the excellent service!! I have had Ingrid’s cooking multiple times and it is mind blowing! Wether its the roast pork or the cuban sandwich you can’t go wrong!! I’ll be back soon!
Absolutely loved my experience at Ingrid’s Chicharrone! The food was fantastic—crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. You can really taste the love in every bite. The service was just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. And the best part? The prices were more than fair for the quality you get. Highly recommend this spot if you're craving something delicious and satisfying!
WOWW decided to go in and give this family owned business a try and boy was i impressed, from ordering on the phone to picking up the food the customer service was excellent and the food exceeded expectations and automatically became my #1 food spot in Woodbury area, everything was so delicious and fresh I recommend this place 100% ingrid and her staff are amazing place is super clean and prices are great, I ordered chicharron with tostones and got 3 quipes and a bola de yuca along with 3 cold beverages.
This place and the lender are hidden gems. I was warmly welcomed by Ingrid the owner and very excited to see the menu and all of the delicious things. Ingrid was lovely, explaining all of the dishes to me. Trust me, it was so hard to make a decision, everything looked freaking amazing. I ended up with chicharrones and shrimp fried rice that were both better than absolutely delicious and a few empanadas that had the most amazing crust. Light and not at all greasy. I can’t wait to go back and visit for more of that food. I forgot to take pictures because my mouth was watering in the car driving home and I couldn’t wait to eat!!
Food was absolutely incredible. Empanadas we’re out of this world, crispy and delicious. Perfect hearty chicken, beans, and rice. The Cuban was excellent as well. Nice little selection of Caribbean sodas. Service was excellent and accompanied by a beautiful smile! Great variety of Latin and Caribbean music played the whole time, gotta love it. This is one of those places you order from weekly.
I visited Ingrid’s Chicharrones for the first time today, and it was a wonderful experience! The owner is very sweet, and the food is delicious. I ordered chicharrón with tostones, various empanadas, and some quipes. Everyone in my home loved the food and thought I had brought it from the city! I will definitely return. If you’re in the neighborhood, be sure to stop by!
Ingrid provides a YUMMY taste of homemade food! Tried the pork chicharon, carne guisada, shrimp mofongo, Cuban sandwich, and rice and beans which do not disappoint and make you feel like you're eating at someone's home. She is extremely friendly, insightful, and catered to make sure we were always content. These values tend to slip away and are not visible much. The atmosphere is quaint, clean, and full of extra tasty treats too. Easy free parking right outside. Highly recommend, looking fwd to stopping by again!
The food was delicious! Small little place for takeout mostly- no bathrooms but it was fantastic. The proprietor was friendly and honest about the wait times and everything was cooked to perfection.
If you’re looking for solid, flavorful Dominican food, Ingrid’s doesn’t miss. The chicharrón is crispy and tender, perfectly seasoned, and super satisfying. Everything—from the longaniza to the tostones, tastes homemade and fresh. The most portions are generous, and the service feels like family. It’s the kind of place you’ll keep coming back to whenever you’re craving comfort food done right.
One of the best spots to get your Latin cuisine . If you want some Latin food and get a home feel while eating come over to Ingrid’s Chicharrones spot now best service by far .
Have to say this restaurant is amazing from their chicharrones, fried chicken to their chimi sandwichs!!! Never fails to impress. Fast service and clean as it can be!! The chimi is my jam!! give it a try won't regret it.
I was driving to an event close by and stopped in for a quick bite and it was the best decision. Food was amazing, and the atmosphere and service were perfect. As a Puerto Rican I 100% recommend this place you won’t regret it!
First time here, the food tasted amazing and staff was extremely nice and welcoming. It felt like eating at your favorite family members house. Will come back again :)
LET ME TELL YOU!!!! Whewwww!!!!! This place is a lil piece of love because not only is the food so fire so is the service and the woman who makes the food, you can tell she makes it with love !!!!! I’m thankful to finding this place food, service and FRESH!!! You will have to be a bit patient but is elite food ! Trust me when I tell you go and try it ! Thank me later I posted pics of all I bought !
We were on our way to Pure Terror Scream Park from NJ. We found this dominican spot. Their food is high quality and the atmosphere is friendly. When we come up here definitely stopping by. Its like looking to your favorite aunts place.
I traveled from Middletown in search of excellent picaderas, and I am so pleased that I did! The food was delicious, and the decor provided the added comfort of reminding me of my homeland. I highly recommend it!
LET ME TELL YOU!!!! TheFood is amazing. The customer service was on point, and you can't be the prices for the quality of food.
I visited this place to try them out. I'm very glad that I did. Having this type of food available this far from the city is a huge perk. The location was very clean and presentable. The dining area looked neat and appeared well kept. I ordered some chicharron with tostones, and it was perfect. Not salty or over seasoned. Fresh and just the right amount. I also ordered roast pork with cheese mofongo. The mofongo was soft and very flavorful. The fried cheese complemented the mofongo very well and added a softness to the mofongo that created a nice texture. We also had a chicharron mofongo that did not disappoint. They had a hot bar with some items ready for serving. They also had a nice variety of drinks both to serve and bottled. One constructive comment I would like to make is that I would like to eat my meal in other than paper plates. I feel it would bring more elegance and class to the place if non paper plates and non plastic silverware were used. This was a bit distasteful. Nonetheless, the food taste and quality were amazing, and I was greatly satisfied. I highly recommend and will be back again to try more of the menue.
Such a warm welcoming atmosphere and food is delicious be patient and have time cause food is fresh and hot
The food here taste home made, super fresh and delicious everytime. They treat you with so much care.
Food was amazingly delicious! We had the pernil with yuca (Roasted pork with Cassava) and it was perfect. We also had the roasted chicken and tostones (twice fried green plantains) , chicken was very tender and the tostones very crispy. We also had the chicharrón and I can say they were perfect! It's mostly a takeout place but they have a couple of tables inside. Highly recommend it.
OMG what a delicious meal! Tastes just like something that's home cooked! I completely recommend giving this place a visit if you're craving some fantastic homestyle Latin cuisine! Get that pork shoulder with some rice and beans! Unforgettable eating!
Some of the best Dominican food I’ve ever had. Ingrid is an incredible chef and so sweet. The prices are super fair and everything was so delicious. Amazing mofongo and empanadas.
Delicious! ¡Que Rico! Makes me miss home! Everything that we ordered was good. Will come again to try the rest of the menu.
I have visit Ingrid’s several times and ordered through Uber. The food is always fresh, delicious and nicely crafted into a masterpiece. I have also ordered the fritura platters and the quality and taste are consistent. As a Dominican that has migrated to Orange County, it’s been hard to find authentic Dominican food. Thank you Ingrid for bringing our culture and love of our country into your dishes. My kids also very much enjoy the food and atmosphere. Ingrid always welcomes us with a smile and open arms. Highly recommend everyone tries this little piece of heaven.

Ingrid and her staff are amazing. Best Spanish food in the area. The grilled chicken and tostones were delicious. Top it off with passion fruit juice and you won’t regret it. Highly recommend.
Food was delicious! Ingrid was very welcoming. I wanted to ensure I got enough for our family and it was more than enough. Everything was fresh and nothing was oily or stale. We will be back!
If I had to describe Ingrid’s Chicharrones, I’d say it feels like visiting your favorite family member’s house for a delicious home-cooked meal. The chicharrones were perfectly cooked, and the pickled onions paired beautifully with the boiled yuca. I also recommend coming early—once an item sells out, it’s gone for the day! That just goes to show how fresh and high-quality their food really is.
Happened to stop for a bite to eat and this was some of the best food I’ve found in the area. I am also plant based and the woman working was super accommodating and helpful. My partner had meat and cheese and said everything was fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to come back
Phenomenal service!!! My co workers and I order often and it never disappoints. Never!! And I finally got a chance to stop in and get food in person. And my God!! They’re so sweet. So kind and personal and helpful. She accommodated all my restrictions which is rare in most places. Please don’t walk but run!!! To this glorious place.
We got the empanadas and fritura and oh my god… ridiculous. I had to take a walk after the first bite it was so good. We got 4 drinks and a chimi as well. We got everything and everything was immaculate. Great friendly service too
I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Ingrid Chicharones three times now, and each visit has been consistently outstanding. It’s not easy to find a place that delivers both incredible flavor and affordable prices, but Ingrid Chicharones does exactly that every single time. The food is absolutely delicious — rich, authentic, and clearly made with care. My personal favorite is the Mofongo de Chicharrón, and it never disappoints. It’s perfectly seasoned, packed with flavor, and incredibly satisfying. If you’re not sure what to order, trust me — this is the one! The empanadas are crispy and flavorful, the alcapurrias are perfectly prepared, and the sancocho is hearty and comforting — like a warm hug in a bowl. Everything tastes fresh and homemade. You can truly feel the passion behind the food here. I highly recommend Ingrid Chicharones to anyone looking for authentic, delicious dishes at great prices. I’ll definitely be back again (and again)!
While visiting my daughter in Chester, NY, we were deciding where to go for lunch around 1:00 PM. She asked me to check Yelp, and I’m genuinely glad I did. After reading the reviews on Yelp and Google, it was clear this place was something special. About a 20-minute drive later, we arrived at Ingrid’s Chicharrones, and we were immediately welcomed by Ingrid herself, which made us feel right at home. The space is small and simple, but don’t let that fool you, the food and hospitality more than make up for it. Ingrid truly lives up to her reputation as a one-woman powerhouse. She runs the place with care and efficiency, and it shows in the quality of the food. Everything came out fresh and absolutely delicious. I ordered the mofongo with pork belly, and it was outstanding, so good I was already craving more after finishing it. A quick tip: half a pound of pork belly sounds like a lot, but it’s not, so if you really want to enjoy it, go for the full pound. No regrets. One small downside: the place was very cold during our visit. They do have portable heaters, but it was still noticeably chilly. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. This is the kind of place you remember and look forward to returning to. Every time I visit my daughter from Atlanta, GA, this will be a must-stop. If you’re looking for authentic Dominican food made with care and heart, this place delivers.

I Ordered pasteles from them and we enjoyed them! I moved from Yonkers to here and the food upstate is terrible thankfully I found this gem!
Small restaurant with free street parking available on a moderate to low traffic area. Entrance is somewhat not wheelchair accessible. There’s a step in front of the entrance. The lady behind counter believe to be Ingrid herself bilingual, helpful, easily approachable person. Restaurant is focused on takeouts with a few seating options. 3-4 tables inside. Bathrooms are NOT working. Although they are in a high volume successful business that’s a “-1 star” for me. Overall inside the restaurant is clean, quiet and moderately comfortable. Food is great quality, fresh and adequately portioned vs priced compared to similar restaurants. Menu is still a to-go handout paper menu which indoor sitting menu could be provided. We had chicharonnes, beef empanadas, and alcapurias. Overall satisfaction well deserved a 5 star in its category of restaurants. I definitely recommend for a dinner or takeout, BUT one should call before arriving the restaurant to confirm whether they have enough chicharonnes; they run out!!!

Stopped by to order Chofachicharron after a long drive. While waiting, ordered a chicken empanada just made and a fresh cold tamarindo juice that hit the spot. The food overall was very tasty. 😘
Went here looking for some authentic Dominican Chicharrón but was let down after trying it here. I guess being from NYC I’m spoiled to what’s truly authentic chicharrón but it was not very good. Very greasy , cut long and thick , and tasted a lot more like oil versus any flavor: The place is very organized and clean, good location and staff, just the chicharrón let me down.
