We had pizza on Halloween night. Decently good, considering it's a wood-fired oven. Limited dessert selection. The place is quite cozy. The staff is friendly.

This place lacks hygiëne in both the accomodation and the staff (clothing!) What comes out of the kitchen was not fresh. The fish had a dominant grill taste in the wrong way.

The menu said...Tagliata with porcini mushrooms, the most expensive on the menu at €18. When it arrived, there was a very thin grilled steak, full of arugula, and an attempt at porcini mushrooms, VERY LITTLE AND RAW. The strong flavor of the arugula neutralized any possible flavor of the porcini mushrooms. When I complained and said that this wasn't a tagliata, the waitress responded by saying that the chef thanked me for the information. The bill was counted as tagliata. I WILL DEFINITELY NOT RETURN.

We ordered mushroom rice, gnocchi, chicken, and gratinated fennel from the daily set menu. After finishing our first course, we began waiting in vain for our second courses. After at least half an hour, and having an urgent commitment, we called the waitress, who told us they were plating up our second courses (from the set menu). After another quarter of an hour, we entered the restaurant (we were sitting at a table under the portico) to ask again. After a few minutes, the only dish of COLD gratinated fennel arrived. We then went inside to complain that it was too much. Instead of apologizing, the waitress called the owner, who began hurling abuse at us, physically assaulting me, cursing my North African friend with racist swear words, and pretending to call the police. We paid, but were still followed threateningly into the street, only to discover that many shopkeepers on Via Marenco avoid going there due to similar experiences. Wasn't it enough to say, "Sorry, our kitchen was out of order today. Please be patient. It's true, you waited an hour and the fennel is cold. We apologize." A terrible experience.

Terrible experience. Chaotic place and mediocre service. Dined last night for four. We ordered two pizzas, a veal with tuna sauce, and octopus with potatoes. After a 50-minute wait, the young waitress with a helmet brought a plate full of boiled potatoes, a lemon wedge, and three slices of octopus. After I pointed out the missing octopus, she asked me if I wanted more. Actually, there wasn't any octopus on the plate! Are you kidding me?!? We left quickly without ordering dessert or coffee. After calmly paying for everything, we reported the incident to the cashier again. They apologized. Never again!
