The water is very good, freshly prepared. The bone marrow soup is tasty, and the set lunch menu is good, but nothing amazing. The place is nice and pleasant, but we had a waitress who rushed us while taking our order.

Pleasant place, nice decor, very quiet. Excellent service from the moment you arrive. Extensive menu with typical Mexican dishes; you can order items separately and opt for the set lunch menu, which includes soup and one of the available stews. Excellent seasoning and generous portions. Prices are average.

The place is nice, the food is good, but they're slower than a snail. If you're hungry and want to go here, be prepared to wait forever because they take ages to take your order and bring your food.

A fonda in Mexico is a restaurant with inexpensive home cooked food with generous portions. Fonda Típica Verónica, however, had with some unusual items on the menu like conejo( rabbit), cordóniz(quail), and colorines( a reddish flower that is shaped into a patty and fried. ) The restaurant was pretty with brightly-colored tablecloths and piñatas hanging from the ceiling. Waitress was a bit overbearing-when my friend passed over half of a plate of milanesa de pollo for me to try, the waitress came over to tell me my food was coming- really? Also when we asked for a set of silverware, instead of just grabbing one and giving it to us, she searched our table and had everyone looking too- it was really kind of ludicrous. My friend asked for a spoon for her soup, and the waitress gave her my husband’s spoon! Two of us ordered the daily special- the soup was a very plain bean soup with a few tortilla strips in it. Dessert was the tiniest little bowl of fruit cocktail you have ever seen with a dot of creme. Prices were expensive for a fonda. There was a great view of every crazy vehicle in the world heading out to the Cuernavaca-Mexico highway-huge semis pulling concrete supports, exciting things like that. Women’s bathroom was out of service.

The service is very fast and friendly. The bean soup is flavorful. The rice is tasty and cooked to perfection. The tinga tostadas with beans and sour cream add a nice touch. The beef broth has a flavor I couldn't identify. The salsa tasted like too much garlic.

If the food is delicious, there's no reason to complain about it, it's delicious. But the service... TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE 😕 They need a lot of training and organization. It took 20 minutes to take our order and 40 minutes to prepare some green enchiladas and chilaquiles with egg. And worst of all, two tables arrived after us and finished eating just as they were delivering our plates. I really WON'T RETURN, I DON'T RECOMMEND IT, NOT ANYMORE.
