First visit and won’t be my last! Stopped in soon after opening on a lazy summer Saturday and was rewarded with a welcoming atmosphere, friendly folks, a $3 mimosa and a crazy good oyster po’boy. Cajun French fries were filling, unusual and tasty and my friend’s fruit side was ample and fresh. Gave St. Pedro (centerish candle) a little wave on the way out and thanked him for a delightful lunch.
Loved the lunch special. I got the fish sandwich blackened. I wish they had fresh sweet tea. It's a very unique option on Franklin Street. There's often live music too at night
We wanted to try Imbibe and sample some Cajun food. I ordered a half Mufeletta and my partner in crime, an oyster Po Boy. And since I hadn't had a cheese curd in 20 years, I had to order them as well. Probably no surprise, it was a lot of food. The "half" Mufeletta was huge! I ended up only eating half of the half. It was quite good, certainly something different for me. My wife thought her Po Boy was fantastic. I had a bite and it was super good. The cheese curds were as good as I remembered. So, Imbibe was a nice experience. I'll look forward to visiting again and trying some different items from the menu.
Great food! Really enjoyed everything I ordered and will be eating here frequently. Crazy amazing softshell crab, great fried oysters, love the pickles and the potato salad was wonderful. This is the real deal for great fresh seafood with great flavors located right here in CH. Go forth & IMBIBE.
This is absolutely one of the best places in Chapel Hill or Carrboro. The atmosphere, the music, the people, the pure quirkiness and beauty. Please keep going! I’ve eaten about everything on the menu but I think the specials are often the best.
Amazing service and delicious food. My partner got a chicken poy boy, and I had the vegan jambalaya and falafel po boy. I have never been more pleasantly surprised by the food and decor. Update: the fries got more delicious.
Seriously delish NOLA goodness here. Menu rotates based on freshness and quality. We had two amazing soft shell crab dishes. Great beer selection. Sweet live 3-piece jazz on Mondays and Wednesdays.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. I LOVE the shrimp and grits. I’ve eaten many other things too…I like the mussels when they are on the menu because they are AMAZING. You are going to come here and have an atmosphere that is 100% not Panera or some sort of fast food restaurant. The food will be outrageously delicious and not expensive by any sort of Chapel Hill standard. There will be good music and nice people. There will be interesting books and board games to look at and good drinks. Overall amazing vibe and absurdly delicious food. I like to come for lunch and buy my shrimp and grits and Diet Coke and take bottles of wine to go. I also like to come in for a drink in the evening like a normal adult but usually I don’t because I have children and I’m running around at their activities. Oh, and if you also have kids and your kids like food and know how to conduct themselves in a restaurant they will like this restaurant too. My kids love this place and Mandey.
Great food and drink. Amazing, attentive service. Very impressed out of towners. Thank you for a unique, wonderful experience! 😁 John, the bartender was knowledgeable, informative and very friendly.
I ordered delivery from this spot. Got dissed w the normal corporate bullshit. Owner reached out to me directly. Unreal! Why can’t we just go back to this one-to-one accountability? Ethically, this place is 4 trillion stars. Support this real enterprise. So much love.
Rougarou is one of our absolute favorite spots! The vibe is casual and fun and Mandy’s food is AMAZING. I’ve never liked a hush puppy before this place. Get the cheese bites and party ranch and thank me later. And Neil is always killing it behind the bar; he gives great recommendations and makes everyone feel welcome! Can’t recommend this place enough.
Ok ok ok, I’m bias… I periodically perform at this establishment, but I can offer an objective view. Unique & a standout in a populated area. Mandey is a jewel & Neil is a great paired part of the restaurant. The food is creatively designed, prepared & delicious. The evidence is in the first bite. Words can only lead, and as the old saying goes, the proof is in the pudding (pudding is not served here though!! Or maybe it’ll be added lol) so go taste & see….& maybe we’ll meet each other with good tunes to enjoy..
This is the perfect classy dive with good food that I have been looking for! It has so much character and very affordable prices, especially for being on Franklin st. I was so impressed with the food. My boyfriend got the shrimp po boy and I got the shrimp and grits. Shrimp and grits is often hard to impress me with but they did a great job! The grits were creamy and the shrimp and sausage seasoned perfectly. I would highly recommend checking this place out!
Such a cool joint. My wife and I drove 45 minutes to try it out. Wasn't many people since it's the day after Christmas. The NOLA shrimp was great, the blackened fish was awesome, and the gumbo was amazing. Got some gumbo to bring home too. Prices are very reasonable for the area. The bartender/server was a really nice guy, the cook/server/(owner I think) was really cool and nice. The digs were really cool and relaxed and go with the theme. Some guy was playing guitar outside, and maybe that's normal for the area, but not where I presently live. If I lived in Chapel Hill I'd probably go there once a week for a beer and some gumbo. Good find.
The food always amazing, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere was amazing! The place was awesome to be in and when a duke game played we all got to boo! Can’t wait for the opportunity to come and eat at this place again
The bartender was one of the best servers I ever seen accommodating everybody at very busy bar there highly recommended The food was fantastic I highly recommend the Cajun chicken pasta absolutely amazing sauce two thumbs up maybe three
Def. recommend this eatery. Stopped by for lunch & this place is fairly popular among the college kids. The food was hot & delicious. Hands down for the best service & ambience. The waitress was super nice and explained a few things that can be substituted on the menu. We ordered two Buffalo chicken sandwiches, Cajun chicken Alfredo pasta, & Hot buffalo wings. The portion size was fairly good. The food had a little bit of wait time but not crazy long. The music was tad bit loud but otherwise great place to have a bite if you are in the area. Unfortunately I didn’t click pics of the food when it arrived but can def. share the experience! Go try it if you are in the area.
All around great place! Food is amazing, staff is top notch. Been going here for past month and they will continue to have my service every Sunday!
Alana was the best server we have had here in a while. She should be the one to train the others. Our cups were never empty and she checked on us just enough! On a side note there was a man at the bar with a Rottweiler dog at the bar that kept snapping at people. Other than that it was an amazing night. Food was great and service was amazing.
When we entered this busy establishment both of the young hostesses gave us pleasant greetings. As it was super busy we decided to dine at the bar. Fletcher our server quickly took care of us and checked on us constantly. Emily her cheerful colleague also helped out. I asked for a Caesar Salad with a medium rare salmon. The cooks did an outstanding job and prepared the salmon exactly the way I wanted it. Thanks Four Corners for looking after us. We hope to return one day.
On our visit to Chapel Hill we decided to try Four Corners for lunch. We felt a great vibe as soon as we stepped in the door. Enough TVs to have all of the games on and everyone was enjoying ourselves. Our waitress was fantastic. She smiled, checked on us to make sure everything was okay, and made our experience that much better. I my son and I had the Carolina burger while my wife had the club. You talk about good, the food will have you making yummy sounds all day. The chili on the Carolina burger was delicious. It had beans in it and chunks of tomato. Any that escaped my burger was eagerly eaten with my fork or sopped up with my tots. They had the perfect amount of crispiness without being burned. My wife and son had the sweeat potato fries which they raved about. You need to try this place if you're in the area. By the way, if you are unsure what Four Corners refers to just look at your coaster, it is drawn out for you.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE GRILLED WINGS! Their wings are great fried, but GRILLED is a whole other level! They do take a little while to come out, but the wait is worth it! The bar staff is also phenomenal - every time I’ve been there, Jammie, Karissa, Fletcher, Emily, and Lexi are ROCKING it! (Jammie’s also an excellent resource and really knows her drinks!) Easily one of my favorite places on Franklin!
I really wish I hadn't waited until my senior year to try this restaurant. It is one of the best on Franklin if you ask me. The atmosphere is great, and the food is consistently good. Come in after 10 for the late night specials and you'll leave satisfied and still have money in your wallet. I recommend this place to all of my friends.
Four corners is a staple on Franklin Street and in Chapel Hill. The business has survived the ever changing Franklin Steeet. They have great food and drink specials throughout the week. For me, they have the best wings! Sooooo yummy and reasonably priced. Good bar and good food....give them a try.
Y'all better come through from 10PM-12AM (except during game nights) because this ish is 50% with the exception of buying a drink! The restaurant was a little busy, understandably so, so the service was a little slow but the food was great. 👏🏼 I highly recommend the wings. 20 wings for $10? Such a good deal, the wings are pretty thicc too. Oooh. Please slightly increase server speed, or y’all might be understaffed, so please hire more waiters! 😫 but otherwise - great place, great bar, great vibes, great atmosphere, and great food - can't beat that tbh. Props to the owner to responding to most, if not all of the reviews 👏🏼
Dirty fries were pretty good, I forget what the fried balls are, and ghost pepper pork rinds. The pork rinds are made in house so they are fresh. Don't order the ghost pepper ones unless you are hard core. BF and I had them and spent the next two days running to the bathroom. Yes they really are that hot. Totally worth it though... We ate every last one.
The food is really quite good! I give it 4 stars because it seems like they run out of ingredients a good bit, limiting their selection - but they are very kind and gracious in replacing items and giving a little extra to make up for any substitutions. Additionally, there were some minor things I wasn’t a big fan of - lack of salt on fries, etc - but overall it was excellent. I took my food to go, but I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed eating in the restaurant at least in the daytime. It was quite dark. But based off pictures, it’s much nicer at night!
This is definitely a great place to be for any sports entertainment. The vibe and buzz are extraordinary. But the food is bar food at best. Be especially aware of the fish tacos. Yes, it is nice to see them on the menu since not many places serve them, plus you get 3 total, but the ones here are barely satisfactory bar food. First, they have only thick flour tortillas, and no corn ones. That alone is a fail because the thick flour texture overwhelms the nice shrimp. And they use raw green cabbage, which is terrible. Last, the rice and beans that were served were virtually flavorless. Thumbs down to the shrimp tacos!
I love the vibes of this place. It is cool. It definitely has a Louisiana 👢 look and vibe to it. They have live music during the week. I definitely will be back for that. It seems like it may be quite the experience. I ordered takeout from this place. I will come back and have an in-dining experience and update my review. I tried the fried oysters. They were fried nicely but if you are talking about a Louisiana restaurant, you have to come with the flavor and the seasoning. They were lacking the Louisiana seasoning. I ordered the Mufalleta sandwich 🥪, the one with the meats (ham, salami, etc.). This sandwich 🥪 was also lacking flavor. The olive salad was too tangy. The meat-to-bread ratio was off: not enough meat compared to how thick the bread is. The fries weren't bad. They could use a better selection of fries, but not bad. The falafel was bland in my opinion. However, what saved the day was the Fried Pork Rinds! They were Crispy and crunchy. I ordered the Cajun style. Definitely, some great Pork rinds here. I'll try something else when I go back. Let me know what you all think about it!
The atmosphere was great, but the food was nothing too special. Would definitely go to catch live music.
This place is cool. I ordered the Parmsean Garlic Wings with the bone in. Not bad. It lacked salt. And the perfect balance of salt is key. Otherwise, these would have been great. The flavor of the wing was fine. I ordered a side of fries. I normally don't like breaded fries but those were good. I ordered the Beez Neez cocktail. It was 😋. I loved it. I would try this place again to try other items on the menu to be sure that I can stick with this rating today. The reason being is that a while ago, I did order takeout and it was amazing!! I remember that ordered some wings, mixed fried veggies with pickles, and some other things and I enjoyed it.
I just came in today wanting to try something new! The atmosphere is perfect. The staff were super nice! However, the food was okay but i didn’t get much. I ordered the shrimp and grits and a side of Cajun fries. The portion I got for the fries was bigger than the shrimp and grits. It took forever (my whole lunch break)to get my food and I had burnt bottom pieces in my grits and not much of it.
Went with my friends on a Saturday night, and the place was completely dead. Monday and Wednesday nights seem to be the active days, so whatever. The menu was a stained sheet of paper with a QR code to their online menu and some specials. There was no table service, and the food had to be ordered online before you tell the bartender your order. I've ordered from a QR code menu before, so I was optimistic, while my friends were a little perplexed. We scanned the QR code and that's when everything went wrong. Half of us were able to scour the menu, pick food, and head to the checkout. I managed to put in my card details but the website immediately froze upon processing my orders. The other half were incapable of accessing the online menu at all, the website server refusing to load. Then the site crashed for all of us. We alerted the bartender who was kind enough to take out a pen and paper and do it the old school way, however the lack of paper menu was really baffling to me at this point. Those of us who managed to put in our orders were reassured that the orders hadn't been accepted yet, but a website crashing with our credit card details didn't make us feel any better. But the bartender and another worker assured us the food would be out. We ordered multiple Po Boys, and waited. It was a long wait, but the food was delicious. I got a blackened pork belly po boy on ciabatta bread that was greasy in all the right ways, if a little salty. My friends who ordered shrimp po boys were a little unsatisfied with the size of the shrimps. But we ate, we dined, we paid, and we left. Overall, it was a ... meh? Experience. I wouldn't return again personally, maybe if it was a busy night with live blues shows, but the QR code and lack of table service left a sour taste in my mouth. Also, the restaurant website requested a tip despite there being no table service. In my opinion, if there is no table service, there should be an option to tip the cooks/bartender directly... or no tip at all! I have no idea if those tips are going to the owner or the workers who actually helped us. I can't imagine how the website holds up during inclement weather, older customers who aren't familiar with QR codes, busy crowds with multiple people accessing the site at once, etc. My advice to the owners: replace the QR codes with reusable paper menus, put at least one waiter for table service on slow days if you're gonna ask for tips, and clean your bathrooms.
Went in on 10/15/25 for a quick anniversary dinner as it was a weekday..Walked in about 7pm,Hostess was nice ,After already being seated we saw that at 8pm Trivia Night would be starting..no big deal we’ll have an appetizer and get our food to go,Asked our waitress Ashley,How is the Fish&Chips “Oh you get a generous portion”…Well it is in fact 4 small fish sticks!!!!NOT WORTH 20$ w\fries and OLD,My husband had The Philly w/onion ring ,it’s Steak Um meat!!!…Very sad experience…
