Attended for Queen's Feast '26 - more than fair meal size - great variety on menu - every meal was delicious - amazing service - shout out to Kevin! As pictured - Campanelle, Radiatori Nero, Tiramisu, Cannoli Cream Cake
I have tried quite a few wood fired pizza but none as good as this. Clean, fresh, and delicious. Stopped for lunch today and sat at the bar. The bartender was polite, educated in product and drinks and always checked on us. If you have time stop here for good service great food and a comfortable environment for everyone.
What a fabulous experience! The greeters were fantastic, the waitress, Alyssa, was extraordinary, and the food was exceptional!!! The atmosphere is contemporary but warm and elegant. It's a beautiful restaurant and dining experience. We came to celebrate an engagement, and the waitress and hostess topped our Indaco experience off by the extra care and consideration they showed us, definitely making our evening a night to remember!
Phenomenal!!!! Visited on a Friday around 12 pm for lunch and it was not busy yet so we immediately sat at a table for 2. Our waitress Hannah was very pleasant, friendly, and efficient and gave great recommendations. Ordered their steak and eggs which was delicious. The steak was cooked medium and was very well seasoned. The eggs were scrambled and were very fluffy. It came with a side salad which was just arugula which I do NOT like BUT honestly, with the dressing it came with, it helped tone down the arugula taste for me and I was able to enjoy the salad with my meal. I can only imagine how great the food will taste for dinner. I plan on coming back and trying some of their other dishes. I highly recommend this place for lunch or even a date night. They do have free parking in the lot or a parking deck located beside the restaurant. Does get pretty hectic during peak times but nothing too complicated.
One of my most favorite restaurants in all of Charlotte. Staff are always accommodating, knowledgeable about the food and absolutely sweet in helping me celebrate special occasions. Best Italian food in the whole town in my opinion 😋
If you make a reservation here, be sure to let them know what the occasion is! We dined here for a friend's birthday and they made the experience quite special. Food and service was fantastic as always.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We went to Indaco Charlotte for our anniversary, and it couldn’t have been better. The food was really good but the service is what really made the night. Our waiter was incredible — so attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make us feel special. I had mentioned it was our anniversary when making our reservation, but I was still so impressed that the staff truly took notice. From the moment we walked in, it felt like they were expecting us, and that small detail made the evening feel even more special. Great atmosphere, fair prices, and amazing! amazing! waiter for a special night out. Highly recommend!
Whoever is in charge knows how to make special occasions special! They contacted us ahead of time asking for more info, and they delivered a perfect night out for our family. The food was great, service exceptional and vibe fit us well. Go experience for yourself and get the burrata!
love love love Indaco! Their food and drinks are amazing every time, and we let them know we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they did a whole set up for us <3 so sweet.
Had such a wonderful dinner here due to wonderful people & delicious food! When I made the reservation on OpenTable, I mentioned that we were coming for a special occasion: to celebrate getting our marriage license. Well someone from the restaurant reached out to confirm the details and when we arrived we were handed a beautiful Mr. & Mrs. wooden box with wine glasses inside. We definitely didn't expect such a thoughtful gift and that completely wowed us! We ordered the polpette & beef tartare cannolis for starters and they were amazing. The beef tartare cannolis were so unique and definitely my favorite item of the meal. I could have eaten a dozen of those. We got pasta for our mains: him the black pepper tagliatelle and me the cacio & pepe, both were delicious but man the tagliatelle was incredible. I had the lemon torta for dessert and it was delicious - so bright and fresh with a little bit of creaminess to it. We loved our food but were blown away by the kindness of the people and cannot wait to come back. Everything that passed by our table looked delicious and I'm looking forward to exploring more of the menu!
Incredible experience celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday! From the beginning, the manager walked us to our table and they got him a special gift and brought his favorite cocktail to the table. Alyssa was very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. The pasta dishes and mussels were fresh and delicious. They went out of their way to make it a special evening! 10/10 recommend Indaco for any special occasion!
One of the BEST restaurants in Charlotte! My last visit to Indaco was for brunch and it was stellar. Service - David was our server. He was so attentive, thoughtful, and so sweet with 3-year-old niece. One of the best experiences I’ve had with serving staff, ever. I will ask for David when I go back next time! Food - We had the meatballs, pizza, burger, and cinnamon roll. All outstanding! The pizza at Indaco is among the very best I’ve ever had. Not your average pizza! During other visits I’ve had pasta, dessert, you name it. Some of the best meals of my life. Indaco never disappoints. Drinks - The Bloody Mary was 10/10 flavor. Ambiance - The vibe is so cute. Elegant but not stuffy. A great place for date night or girls’ night, but we also didn’t feel out of place brining my niece to dine here (family friendly).
It was me and my partner's anniversary and they made it their duty to make it truly special. I also predisclosed that I had a dairy allergy and they made sure to properly accommodate that. I truly felt like family dining here and absolutely loved the foccacia. The homemade pasta is absolutely delicious and I absolutely would dine here again.
Came here for the second time, with the first being for brunch, this time had dinner. My daughter got the duck rigatoni, and it was her first time ever having duck, and she absolutely loved it, and I got the half roasted chicken with marsala au jus and they were out of gnocchi so I substituted it with smashed potatoes. When I tell you that this was the best entree I’ve had dining out in a very, very long time, that’s an understatement. It was over-the-top amazing. The service here is super friendly, they let us sit outside even though it’s cold out, they were nice to our dog, five stars all around.
It was amazing going for dinner once again at indaco. The service is impeccable and so was our host. The drinks were really good and ordered couple of off menu and did commendable job. Food wise : 5/5 the flavors, the presentation really hit the notes. As a note, it be good to have some good options on salad to add / replace what garden leaf to use. The music and noise is to minimum which makes it really good place to dine. Definitely would be returning again. I hope the menu does revise by spring.
Who knew that Indaco now serves brunch ? Going on a few weeks now. I stopped in last Sunday to check out their brunch menu. I have been here several times but for dinner so I was hyped to try brunch here. Indaco is known for their hand made pastas, wood fired pizza, & well crafted cocktails. So with that being said I had to indulge in one of their famous brunch pizzas. Next time I would try it without the meats and just try the eggs and one other meat on the pizza but the pizza itself was pretty darn tasty . We started off with the burrata toast with a twist , oh my and those cinnamon waffles are a must if you visit for brunch be sure they don’t forget the honey butter . The steak & eggs were also a hi lite due to how tender and juicy the steak was I could go back for the steak alone! Last but not least was dessert . Who has ever heard of an olive oil cake ? Me either until I tried theirs. The consistency of the cake was giving me very much spongy pound cake and we loved it. Catch a brunch vibe here on Saturdays & Sundays from 11am-3pm
Went for my girlfriend’s birthday. Excellent dining experience - the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious. I’m not someone who is big on Italian food but I was pleasantly surprised by how well everything was seasoned. 10/10 would recommend.
Fantastic experience. A++ Atmosphere was very cozy, warm, and inviting. Our service from Paulina was helpful, attentive, and very friendly. Chef Mike cooked us up a fantastic meal, per usual. I can't wait for him to lead the team at the Greenville location. For appetizers, we had the Foccaia, Burrata, and Little Gem Salad. The local honey on the riccotta was phenomenal, almost had a hint rose. For dinner, we had Gemelli Nero, Agnolotti, Black Pepper Tagliatelle (which was my favorite out of the pastas), and the Roasted Carrots were absolutely toothsome I could've ordered a second dish. And as someone who doesn't drink, I appreciated the attention given to their temperance program. The Like a Virgin was probably one of the best, and most creative, mocktails I've ever had. Props to the barteam on that drink. As a first timer to Indaco (and a stubborn Italain when it comes to Italain restaurants), I'll definitely be back.
A wonderful restaurant to enjoy a great meal and delicious wine in an elegant atmosphere.
Compliments to the chef! And staff! And all around everyone that works here for such a phenomenal evening. They also have a new chef who truly made us want more after every dish. First, I am in love with their polpette (meatballs). However, their seasonal burrata is to die for. It does change depending on what's fresh and in season, so since we went at the end of summer, ours came with stone fruit (peaches) along with char-grilled thick sliced bread and it was heavenly. Whatever the season, it's good, so get that. Second, the pizza is fired at a blazing 600-700 degrees so the crust is impeccable. The toppings are also so inventive and varietal. Third, get any cocktail or mocktail. They have great espresso martinis but if you're looking for something refreshing and on the light side they have that too. Lastly, keep coming back. Their menu changes seasonally so there is always something special and new to try. Signed, a Charlotte native who is so thankful to have such a great staple.
Indaco is a nice rustic Italian spot in Charlotte's South End. They have a great menu with wood-fired pizzas, delicious pastas, and housemade cured meats. The atmosphere is casual and inviting. The service was slow when we went there as it was a busy Saturday evening. I highly recommend Indaco for a delicious and enjoyable Italian dining experience! Make sure you reserve your table in advance.
We stumbled upon this gem when there was too long of a wait at a nearby restaurant and they did not disappoint. Our bartender Vinstead recommended the pesto pizza and we also ordered the Daco burger (medium) everything from the French fries to the pizza crust was amazing. Nothing went lacking on the flavor profile and the food was really a 10/10! Check this place out next time you're on South Blvd
First time diners. The drinks were very good. I love homemade limoncello. We had the burrata salad, roasted chicken, tortellini, and a side of beets. Everything tasted great (I wish the tortellini was a little bigger of a portion but the flavor is perfect). Service was excellent. We will be back.
It's a great spot to grab brunch. The food was amazing. I sat at the bar, and the service was excellent. Hands down some of the best pasta I've had in a long time. Wonderful dining experience.
I chose this place as a date since my partner loves Italian. A perfect choice I did make. Everything here was delicious and appealing to the eye. The service was great, our waiter checked on us often. Food came out quick and hot. I even had to reschedule my reservation and they were able to accommodate. I had actually been looking for a place with a 3-course meal option or tasting menu but they didn’t show that they had it online! I would have loved to try the 3 course meal! All in all, I loved it here and we will definitely be taking some time to go to the Atlanta location since we were on vacation here in Charleston.
Wow, where to even begin. This was by far one of the best experiences my wife and I have ever had at a restaurant together. It was her birthday dinner and it was such a great time. The atmosphere, food, and service were impeccable. The atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous and finds a way to feel spacious while still being a smaller intimate setting. Light fixtures, upper loft, and the unblocked expo area all came together for a great look to Indaco. The food was incredible. We got the chefs meal and my wife is vegetarian. $45 pp and it came with 2 appetizers, two main dishes, a pizza, and two desserts. That’s absolutely incredible value. Food was delicious, cooked well, and beautifully presented. Pasta was just a tad too salty, pizza was like neopolitan style had a love child with NY style. Cocktails a little too fruit forward for my taste, but well put together. I got an old fashioned as well to top off the night and it was excellent. Lastly the service was EXCELLENT. Our waitress, Miranda, was one of the best Waitresses we’ve ever had. My wife and I felt like best friends by the time we left restaurant. Even other servers, hosts, bartender, and the manager were all top notch. Everyone was so accommodating to my wife’s vegetarian requests and it made her feel so cared for! Basically, thank you Indaco for the best date night I’ve gotten to take my wife to in a long, long time. Can’t wait to go back!
Absolutely amazing food, service and atmosphere at Indaco. I had the joy and benefit of experiencing Indaco during restaurant week and every course was extremely well crafted and beautifully presented as well. We were kindly and thoughtfully served by staff and managers throughout our meal.
I loved everything about this place! I had the Tagliatelle and we split a Mushroom pizza and it was delicious! You feel like you’re at home, the staff was super welcoming. I can’t wait to go back!
Great food, great servers. Kevin was always a gem and the wine selection is nice. I always had a great meal here for a reasonable price, and they change the menu pretty often which adds some great variety. Sure will miss it as I'm moving out of state, but, definitely recommend!
We visited Indaco while in town for Christmas from Houston, TX. This was one of the best dining experiences from start to finish with service, food, and atmosphere. We had both pasta and pizza dishes, and they were all extraordinary. When we are back in town, we will most definitely visit Indaco again.
If you like authentic Italian this is the place for you. Pasta made from scratch in house. If you don't like thick, tough, al dente, ask for a little longer cook. Prices are a little high. Expect to pay $15 for extra shaved truffle but oh so worth it!
We had our team holiday dinner here, and it was outstanding as always. They were able to comfortably accommodate our group of 25. The food was amazing—we had a mix of pizzas and pastas, and everything was absolutely delicious. For dessert, we shared tiramisu and donuts, which were truly incredible and the perfect way to end the meal. Their cocktail selection is top-notch, with drinks that are creative and expertly made. They also offer fantastic mocktails, which is a huge plus if you’re not in the mood to drink alcohol. This is our third year in a row doing our team dinner here, and it’s been an outstanding experience every single time. Consistently great food, drinks, and atmosphere. Highly recommend for group dinners or special occasions.
Best wood oven pizza we’ve had. Perfect crust and cheese. Simply delicious. Also had the Tagliatelle pasta dish and that was amazing. Excellent service. We didn’t have reservations but we got there at 5p and the hostess gave us a table before the 6:30 busy dining hour started. Definitely make reservations if you plan to dine here. They also had a lovely bar area.
Indaco was outstanding. Pasta is freshly made as is the pizza dough and the delicious cocktails and accompaniments and virtually everything that is served including pasta sauces and salad dressings. This is definitely a return-again restaurant unlike so many in Charlotte that are one and done eateries. The staff actually cares about you at Indaco. The manager was friendly and helpful. Renata, our server, was warm, professional, and on pointe with service. A great night was had by our party and like I said, this is definitely a return-again restaurant. We'll done Indaco!
Beautiful location, the holiday decor looks so warm and inviting, the servers were all so kind, you can tell that they really enjoy what they do. We had the casarecce and the chicken and both were delicious, the creamy polenta with the chicken was amazing. Me and my husband had a fantastic date night We look forward to try their brunch, we heard the pancakes are amazing
We had such an incredible experience here! The service was amazing—our waitress took the time to explain each dish, share her personal favorites, and point out the most popular items. The food was absolutely delicious and clearly made fresh. The burrata was out of this world—so flavorful. The bolognese pasta was cooked to perfection, and the peach pizza, which we were unsure about at first, completely blew us away. There are so many other dishes I can’t wait to come back and try.
It was my birthday and they got me a gorgeous key chain and flowers! It was so beyond sweet. We had 8 people, our server Zach was wonderful. Food was delicious, order the brussel sprouts!
In the area visiting my children and decided to try this restaurant out. I really enjoyed the waiter named Sam I believe. He was very knowledgeable and just awesome and gave him a nice Christmas Tip for an excellent job. Enjoyed the food and time spent with my children. I would definitely recommend this place to eat and spend time together with love ones.
Both dishes we had were delicious, timely, and fresh. The server was wonderful and attentive. It was nice and relaxing to sit outside after work in the beautiful weather. My only comment would be that at times less is more and that simpler options of delicious classics are appreciated!
Went here with some co-workers... beautiful setting, sat outside on a nice fall night. They have standing heaters, so it was comfortable. The food was excellent, the waiter and staff were very nice but it took forever to get served. Like probably 45 minutes to an hour after ordering. I hmergari focacia bread and a pizza and it was excellent. Everyone else enjoyed their food also.
Customer service is top notch. Drinks were strong. I had a rum punch and margarita pizza. My friend had pasta and my other friend had the chicken with brussel sprouts. I enjoyed my food, but one of us said the chicken needed more flavor/seasoning. Beautiful ambiance!
I would say all dishes we ordered were good, right portion (not too much - but you might be still hungry if you expect a bigger portion). Cocktails are pricey (that how restaurants make money anyhow) like $14-15.. if they decrease price, we would order more than 2 per person..(Im just saying..)
We walked in a busy saturday and glad we got to seat, altho it was bar they had a full service. The service is impeccable and so was our host. The drinks were really good, we ordered: spice up your life, grain on me . Food wise, the portion size is really appropriate and food is delicious. Surely expensive, probably $$$ with a drink. Plan ahead, book a table and also parking on weekends can be also difficult
We had a really good date night experience. 1. Make reservations ahead of time. They are BUSY. We were seated promptly on arrival. The lower level dining room is a bit noisy and lively. However, upstairs (where we were seated) is very comfortable and inviting. It's more of an intimate feel. 2. The food is delicious! We had the Bianca pizza, the duck ravioli, beet salad, and the roasted chicken. You won't be disappointed with the flavor and seasoning. 3. The alcoholic drinks are overpriced. They are tasty but expensive. Somewhere in the range of $14-$25. 4. The waitstaff is top tier. Everyone is super friendly and accommodating. The manager (I'm assuming). Even made sure to check on us twice. 5. It's not much to complain about. It's in a busy area and the drinks are overpriced. However, this is what you'd expect in this area around Southend. Definitely drop in (with reservations) and give this place a try.
Its a nice restaurant with really warm and friendly staff but - and I really hate to say this - the food was not that good unfortunately.. I got a tagliatelle and our table got the spicy soppressata pizza to share. Overall it was just too salty😭 . The pasta was a made from a very interesting blend of grains (and herbs?), but the sauce just felt overwhelmingly salty.
Came to Charlotte with my fiancé for a business trip. We decided to stop at Indaco for some food and we were very dissatisfied with mostly all the food items. Also, the menu was very small for an upscale Italian restaurants. I understand a menu wanting to be clear and concise, but this place had a very limited selection of food to offer us. Our bread was burned to a crisp as you can see in the first photo and was inedible. We requested new bread that wasn’t burned and it was somewhat less burned than the first slice of bread. We then ordered mussels as an appetizer. The mussels had a good flavor but then some mussels tasted sour and chewy. Then our entrees came and they were mildly average at best, no noticeable complaints to make about those two dishes or compliments. Service however was impeccable, Brianna our waitress was attentive and very polite to us during our dining experience. Food came out in a timely manner and was checked upon many times by Brianna, but not too many times where it becomes annoying. The service was the highlight of our dining experience here at Indaco. Conclusively, our checking being around $100 did not match the quality of the food and the menu options being highly limited, we felt our experience was subpar and our expectations were not met tonight.
I had the Margherita pizza and tiramisu. The pizza was genuinely just not good. Yes it looks good in the picture, but trust me it was way too burnt. The sauce was too acidic. The bottom of the pizza was burnt past what a regular wood fire amount should be. I understand the appeal, it’s a personal pizza that’s baked in a nice aesthetic oven, practically right in front of you. But the taste was really just not there. It was below average :( The tiramisu on the other hand was so good. I recommend you definitely get it. Great aesthetics, food was so-so.
Me and my girl came out for the first time and was excited to try the place we ended up getting the sausage pizza and one of the pastas. The pizza was burnt and had a bad taste because of how burnt it was and the pasta was extremely salty. Our Server on the other hand was pretty decent Only thing I will say she did not refill our waters or offered a dessert of some sort could’ve just came on a bad night.
Had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. We started with burrata, which was delicious, but unfortunately, the bread served on the side was extremely disappointing with no flavor. The octopus salad was also overcooked and the gluten-free pizza crust was extremely disgusting. We also tried the gluten-free pasta, which unfortunately was bland. The quality of the food did not match the extremely overpriced cost. Additionally, the timing between courses was extremely long, leaving us exhausted by the time we left. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant.
Order the Caesar salad. Salty doesn’t describe it, the lettuce itself was fresh and crisp, however the mess of crumb and bad Romano cheese didn’t help it. Maybe a bad night but they weren’t that busy to mess up a salad. The fig & shoe-leather prosciutto pizza was overwhelmed by a poor ensemble of thick sliced prosciutto, unseasoned arugula & chunks of smoked mozzarella that were so thick it didn’t make sense. Dial down that slicer a bit and learn the less is more approach to food is the way to go. As far as the entrees go. Oh boy. The Tagliatelle was horrendous. Poor mix of contrasting flavors that gave it a sour overtone. Fresh pasta that was good but the accompanying ingredients just don’t work at all. The bolognese was nice. The pasta needs to be COOKED in the sauce not just tossed in it. Overall decent. The salad pizza and tagliatelle dishes were awful and don’t recommend at all. The bolognese needs some work but good flavor. 2 waters, salad pizza 2 pasta dishes $120. If it was at least good no complaints on the price for that, but this was an awful dining experience, I couldn’t brush my teeth enough to get the taste of salt out of my mouth. Maybe give it another shot in the distant future but highly unlikely. Great atmosphere & Scene but the real artwork should be on the plate, sadly it was more like kindergarten watercolor.
