We love Bianca's! The pizza is delicious. Our team created the balloon display at the restaurant for a recent (and very snowy) community event. Highly recommend them! 🎈🍕

My friends, colleagues, and I love Bianca! The food is delicious, especially the pizza. Super unique cocktails that are beautiful and taste great too. Don’t forget the parmesan truffle fries— some of the best in town.

This is our first time dining at Bianca. We arrived around 3:45 pm on a sunny Saturday day so we had the entire indoor dining room to ourselves. Bianca is using contact tracing and temperature checks which we liked along with everyone wearing masks. The tables are generously spaced for social distancing. Our server was the funny and charming Ethan. We started off with sharing the Little Leaf Salad which had a nice mix of lettuces with a pinch of salt that complemented the onions. I enjoyed an adult beverage called Strawberry Fields that was super tasty. I had the Japanese Fried Chicken and one slice of sautéed wild mushroom pizza with pepperoni that was delicious. My wife had just the mushroom pizza. We both had unsweetened black iced tea. For the grand finale, I really enjoyed the warm, freshly baked chocolate chip cookie that was delicious. I can highly suggest Bianca if you are in the area. We also didn’t feel rushed which reminded us of our experiences in Europe. Bonus, the restrooms are also very clean with options of drying hands with either a Dyson air dryer or paper towels.

Every dish you order here is delicious and taste different in a good way, from appetizers to main dishes everything was excellent . Some dishes are unique and you won’t find similarities with other places. The Hummus and truffle fries are super delicious. The deserts are tasty too I Chocolate chip cookie and Chocolate Mousse. By the way the staffs are great too. The vibe and the environment is excellent as well.

It was our first time there and we really loved it there. The fried chicken was amazing. We didn’t like the salad but this was the nature of the greens that was bitter. The desserts was also amazing and delicious. The staff was also very nice and friendly. I totally recommend this restaurant.

What a beautiful restaurant! It blends fancy and casual-upscale very well. It's a perfect place for a celebration or for a date or for a great dinner with friends! The food and drinks are splendid! Had the salmon sushi roll and mushroom pizza. Both were divine! Also grabbed cocktails. Just fantastic all around. Quality food and service. Can't wait to return.

We have been ordering GrubHub from this restaurant but it's so much better when you go there. Jeff the manager is a great guy. Food is always good. I was reluctant on ordering a filet mignon at this restaurant but when it came it was very tender delicious and cooked just right. Of course, as you can see, I ordered many other items on the menu.

You’re greeted with a warm authentic welcome 🙏🏼. The vibe is friendly and welcoming. I got the margarita pizza it was good 😊. The place is super clean and bathroom as well. I really enjoyed my visit .

Delicious pizza in two styles, wood fired or their “Mr Roni cups” Roman style which was huge slices (each one was actually two) and had a very fluffy but crispy crust. Fast attentive service and an open spaceous atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

I have been here a couple times and both have been incredible dining experiences. The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly and considerate. I have tried many things on the menu and have to say that everything is brilliantly executed. Some of my favorite foods have been the Mushroom French dip sandwich and the Shiitake Mushroom Tempura Sushi. I think that the donuts are excellent and extremely tasty. Perhaps some of the best donuts I have had. Surprised that these donuts are not advertised more. The Scores - Food - 18/20. Best in the area. Awesome flavor combinations that blow you away. Staff - 9/10. Friendly, attentive, knowledgable about the menu. Ambience 6/10 - Ambience is good. Much to be improved, lots of open space with nothing to fill it. Overall score - 33/40. Great experience, you definitely need to go

The food here is very diverse and it's all very good. Want a pizza they got it, want sushi they got it. I had a spicy honey capicolla pizza paired with a sake pairing. I thoroughly enjoyed both. My friend had the wagu burger and I tried a biet of that as well. It was cooked very well and was very tasty. Definitely stop by if you are near the chestnut hill mall.

This place is fantastic. The environment is simple and clean. The seats are comfortable. Food is well prepared. We ordered the wagyu burger, mussel, and hamachi. Presentation is a plus. The chef manages the wagyu just perfectly. Juicy and tasty. We will revisit.

Great! Excellent selection. My 92year old father and I enjoyed excellent fresh food. The server was very accommodating and the atmosphere is both fun and bright, spacious and suitable for young children, couples, and families.

We just had a family brunch over the weekend and everything was fabulous! Mushroom pizza off the charts good, my breakfast burger was incredible though a little messy, cocktails were great & love the light/bright atmosphere. Service was just a little slow but the restaurant was very busy. Can’t wait to go back!

After reading several reviews about the amazing food served at Bianca with which I totally agree, I wanted to give recognition to Geoff for his warm greeting when we entered. This was our first visit to Bianca, and Geoff took the time to offer us different table options. My husband was especially happy that he was seated in an area that allowed him to watch some of the Duke basketball game while eating a slice from his favorite pepperoni and sausage woodfire pizza. Our server, Mallory was personable, patient, and extremely knowledgeable of the menu selections. When I was torn between the Caesar salad and the pistachio pesto fusilli, she helped me lean toward the fusilli, and I am so glad that she did! It was delicious. For us, considering where to have dinner relies on food selections, preparation, and taste, but without excellent service, there are other restaurants we could select; Bianca has both! Thank you Geoff and Mallory for making our first visit a great one.

We held an engagement party for 40 in the semi-private bar area, and it was perfect! The food was great (pizza, shishito peppers, hummus, burrata, and cookies. Even as we made a few late changes, the staff accommodates us with no fuss. The space was casual, allowing for mingling, but with enough seating for those who wanted to sit at the bar or at high tables. It was perfect!

My family had lunch here and it was great. We were seated promptly and they brought my toddler a basket of duplo to play with which kept her entertained while we ordered. We had the fried chicken appetizer, mushroom pizza, and French dip. All were delicious and good portions. We will be back!

Great food and service. Awesome play area, run by the 'street', for all ages of kids. No unsqaushed ping pong balls was the only minor dissapointment.

Sarah G was fantastic. Her energy made my day better. The restaurant is filled with the scent of what only can be described as the Italian restaurants you went to as a child when everything was okay and full of laughter and you didn't have to pay taxes, but in a clean, modern, and inviting way. Also their wine list is like, good. Like REALLY good. Some really fantastic producers.

Two of us had very attentive service at this restaurant today we sat at the bar. All of the TVs were on basketball. I asked if he had hockey and he put the hockey on immediately for us. We had the best brussels sprouts I’ve ever had and the margarita pizza was Very good . I love the atmosphere in this place. We will continue to Dine here.

I love it here, from the delicious burger and melt-in-your-mouth filet mignon to the cocktails made with passion and precision. But above all, I appreciate how welcome the crew make me feel. 💖 Special shout-out to the dream team: Jana, Teddy, Brit, Rafa, Sam, Jackson, Nick, Jacqui and "El Jefe" (CDC).

We love this place - it's great for small and large parties (my big family comes here often when we get together). I love the airy, almost garden like interior.

Decent dinner here, but overall not impressed much. Appetizers were disappointing: asparagus dish was served cold intentionally, but I think it would’ve been better warmed and it was also underseasoned. Spinach and artichoke dip supplied few chips and I think Trader Joe’s frozen one is just as good, if not better. The karaage chicken also didn’t come with any kind of mayo for dipping, which feels pretty common for that type of dish. We did enjoy the mushroom sushi, however! The entrees were better, but the bar was not high. Solid pizza and short rib pasta, but I’m not going back to the restaurant for it. I would come back for the wagyu burger though! Definitely on the smaller side, but it was tasty and came with good fries. Service was just okay—we had to ask for water refills and they eventually brought out ranch for the chicken after we had already finished it (I used it for the pizza though).

I tried the wood-fired mushroom pizza, tuna tartare, and a pasta dish. The experience was a bit unusual—not bad by any means, but nothing particularly memorable either. The food was well-prepared, and there’s really nothing to dislike, yet it lacked that extra touch that makes a meal stand out. That said, Bianca offers a quiet and comfortable atmosphere, making it a decent spot for a laid-back weekend evening if you’re staying local. It’s a solid choice for a casual dinner without too many expectations.

Salads were incredible. Delicious dressing super fresh ingredients. Pizza was really good as well, wood fire style delicious crust, but the margaherita lacked some cheese and no fresh basil. Tasted good but missed the mark. The burger is definitely good but not "the best burger in Boston" as they claim. Same with the mushroom sandwich, was solid but not wow. Bar selection was really great as well. 4.5stars

Pros: •Good/decent food (Great meat lovers pizza, decent fried chicken and the Shaksuka is pretty good as well). •The restaurant is super clean. •Great atmosphere. •Ample Seating. •Kid-Friendly. Cons: •The diet cola tastes like medicine and is absolutely horrible. •The food is somewhat pricey. •The fried chicken is decent; good flavors, crispy but was somewhat dry.

Waitress was amazing. Atmosphere is a cool retro vibe. Mushroom pizza is unprecedented. Raseberry Sorbet made there was a wonderful ending. I'm glad I stopped before driving 2 hrs. home.

Pizza was good, I enjoyed the mushrooms one! Dough was Neapolitan still, they have authentic oven from Naples. Other toppings were more creative and didn’t feel adventuring. They have a vegan option as well

We enjoyed the food. Only complaint was the kids meal cost. We got two kids burgers (no cheese) and they charged us $17 for each instead of $14 each. Maybe they added $3 each because we put pickle and tomato? Kids lemonade was also $6? So $40 for 2 kids burgers. Adult meals are a bit pricey but nothing crazy.

Friends of ours hosted a lunch party here for about 20 adults and kids of various ages. There were tasty options for everyone on the preset menu, and generous accommodations for late-breaking food allergies. The service was especially good: calm, welcoming and attentive even with assorted rugrats underfoot playing Hungry Hungry Hippos. We had a great time and it seemed like our hosts were happy with their choice as well.

We've been coming to Bianca for a number of years and have tried most of their dishes. Our favorites are the rotisserie chicken salad and mushroom dip sandwich. The salad has a great dressing and it always tastes very fresh and satisfying. It's on the pricier side for a salad but it has a good combination of veg and maybe too much chicken. I think more veg and less chicken would be a more balanced salad. The mushroom dip sandwich tastes good but can be very inconsistent sometimes. It can be too salty and too cheesy at times. Lately, the pizza doesn't taste the same, not as tomatoey and tangy and undercooked on the bottom the last two times. Overall, the food is fine and we can reliably have a quick meal in a pleasant atmosphere. The servers are generally friendly and efficient. They always seem rushed and busy however, and it can take a bit to flag one down. Our recent dinner on a chilly night, we sat near the rear entrance. There was a cold draft every time someone comes in or out, which was very frequent during dinner time. It's surprising that over the number of years that the restaurant has been at this location that they haven't address this issue. A curtain or something would really help.

Honestly this restaurant is really not all that memorable. Food was expensive for what it was and honestly the pizza was SUPER greasy. We went around lunch time and the service was pretty slow. I like the atmosphere in the restaurant but again I wouldn’t go back to a restaurant if it was just for the atmosphere ya know ?

Margarita pizza was delicious! Got a burger, was tasty but on the expensive side $27.

Great atmosphere, service was average at best. Waitress very friendly but under-trained. Didn’t bus our dishes and we ended up stacking them on an adjacent counter. Ordered the vegan raviolis as my entree, four small raviolis for $25, tasted good but couldn’t stomach $6 per bite, ridiculous really. Drinks took 20 minutes to be delivered. Other entrees in my group were enjoyed, the mushroom pizza was excellent. Despite an underwhelming service experience, we will give the place a second chance.

The Greek salad was good and the pizza saved the day. The sushi tasted like regret and the tomato app was sweet, in an awkward way. The server was great but she had too many tables and was being over worked. A lot of potential, and hopefully for a better experience next time.

L

Food is just okay and extremely overpriced and had to wait for table even though there were tables open outside because the waiters didn’t want to be outside in the 80 degree heat. I would understand if it was above 90 but 80 is just not that hot.

First, I want to say that coming at 3 PM. I did not expect much. Very soon after we arrived our waiter said that he would be leaving and that a new server would be taking his place. That’s fine. Did she ever come over and introduce herself no did she ever see if we wanted to order anything else,? No. I assume the person that brought us our appetizer was a white person but I actually don’t know. We ordered the cauliflower and broccolini. It was me but tasty. The Romasco sauce was amazing. Then we sat, and we sat, and we sat, and we sat waiting for our meals. We practically finished our wine and sat. Without exaggeration, 45 min went by. I finally asked the manager to check on our food. approximately 15 minutes later, our food came out. It looked lovely. It turns out what I thought was a smoked half chicken turned out. It was only smoked Ojo so clearly liquid smoke had been used. I suffered the price all night as that does not agree with me. My friend got the chicken Parm the pasta was ever cooked, and it was deconstructed. The only choice of french fries on the menu where truffle fries which am my mind is something you do to try to make yourself fancy with very little effort. All in all the food was fine. It was not exceptional and it was outrageously expensive for what we got. I would not recommend this eatery in a sea of many others.

The food was good, the service was beyond terrible. The kids food didn’t come until after the adults food came. I spoke to the manager Elizabeth the manager of ops, I told her in detail as the food was indeed ready as the plate were burning hot. We came at 5:30 when the restaurant was almost empty. No reason for this. This is my 2nd time here and for sure my last. We had 11 people and they didn’t even offer the cookies as a comp.

First visit to Bianca’s in early December with family and was supremely disappointed. We had an awful experience with our waiter, who insulted us about his mistake with placing the correct appetizer order. Zero accountability. In addition to not bringing us the app we ordered, he brought the wrong app, and we got charged for it. Table ordered 2 pasta dishes, which looked like reheated sauce and overcooked pasta. Taco special was one taco for $17. Wagyu burger served on the saddest, crappiest bun I’ve seen since elementary school lunch - absolutely embarrassing ($24). You’ve got a wood-fired oven and pride yourself in being able to execute pizza, okay, give me a Margherita pizza. I think a supermarket brand frozen pizza would have been better. Soggy crust, couldn’t even pick up a slice without it falling apart; no fresh basil, insufficient use of fresh mozzarella, and just plain sad. Small, overpriced cocktails. Poor communication all around and even though the manager visited our table twice, he was unaware of the issues during our meal. They had to redo the bill twice to correct the mischarge, then comp us for one of the dishes. Super disappointing experience. Do not recommend.

Drinks were good, food was subpar for the price, service was not good. Waitress kept pushing one of my friends to order a drink and my friend kept saying she needed more time. We ordered the tuna tartare which was really good and two other friends had the penne with shrimp. I had the penne with chicken AND shrimp. The server kept asking who had the last pasta and I told him it was supposed to be both proteins and he kept saying no this is shrimp, like I know. But it’s SUPPOSED to be chicken AND shrimp. I’m paying $51 for a pasta so it should be correct. The waitress and server didn’t apologise for the incorrect order/extra wait which I didn’t really care about. There were a few other weird things with the service. The bill came out and we gave them a $50 tip, which we thought aligned with the service we received last night. IMMEDIATELY after we pay the manager basically tries to bully us into giving a larger tip. Mind you, we’re the only people of colour in this restaurant and she’s singling us out in the middle of the floor, asking why we gave a low tip. Extremely unprofessional and the low tip should be self-explanatory. Look at the other reviews about the service. Also, the mains don’t come with sides. What kind of steak doesn’t come with a side?

강냉이

Salmon roll was $17 (only 6 pieces) and it was bad.. Burger was $24. Please check the photo I uploaded. It was terrible. Eat burger at Shake shack. They make wayyyy better burgers. The best menu was the Cauliflower (4 pireces), but overpriced. Our server never came back to check food. Don't waste your money.

Had dinner last year and NOTHING we got was good. Spent over $80 on a LOUSY meal! Really made us angry. Should have gone to Capital Grille instead. The chicken we got was NOT cooked through. An obvious health code violation! We could have gotten sick from it! The server was friendly and offered to have staff cook some more. But Manager should have come over to apologize and offer to take it off the bill. Which did not happen. Place was not busy at all. Almost empty except some people milling around the bar area. The sauce in pasta we got had a strange sour taste. The rice of sushi rolls we got was cold and not fresh. So basically NOTHING we got was good. They advertised this lousy excuse of a restaurant as a James Beard chef owners restaurant. Really? James Beard??? (For the record, they ONLY have 1 restaurant in Boston that was James Beard: the overpriced sushi place near South Station and we are so happy that it FAILED to get any MICHELIN recognition!)

J
Jacqueline Horgan

The food was incredibly mediocre, service was fine. Took forever for food and drinks to come out- just got a coke and it didn’t taste right. Tasted very cheap— we got sushi rolls that were so small it wouldn’t have been enough for a child. Pasta tasted like jar sauce. Way too expensive for what it is.

L

Pretty restaurant but food and service were poor. No one was at the front and had to wait sometime to be seated for my reservation. Asked the waitress a few times about making slight changes to a dish to accommodate diets but was told it wasn’t possible. The Japanese chicken appetizer was almost inedible (greasy, fatty) even though it was recommended. The smoked salmon sushi appetizer was not made with smoked salmon. The pasta was overcooked and too spicy. After asking for the check, we had to ask for it again after 10 minutes. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough and won’t be going back.

As long-term local residents with knowledgable and reasonable expectations for Brookline and Newton restaurants, we came to Bianca for dinner on a recent weekend evening. The venue is inviting and comfortable. We were seated fairly quickly, but it took a long time for: our waitress to arrive with menus; then to return so we could order drinks; again, to deliver our drinks and take our meal orders; and then finally a long wait until our meals arrived. We each ordered the 'Big Rig Short Rib Rigatoni (Ragu)', but were all extremely disappointed with what we were served: * Cold food: By the time they were (finally) served, our dinners were barely even lukewarm to the touch. * Badly undercooked rigatoni: This pasta wasn't even cooked to al dente -- just to be able to chew these ribbons of rigatoni, we had to cut them with our knives. * Extremely stingy, overpriced portions: Each $27 dish contained at most 1/4 cup shredded meat (we measured) and 1/4 cup of sauce -- in all, maybe 1/2 cup. The ragu tasted nice but not worth $55+ per cup! The Bianca's inviting setting and atmosphere creates the expectation of delicious food, but its execution failed abysmally. We won't come again. Atmosphere: A- Food: F Service: D Price: D

Service: Came here on a Friday night with reservations. No one was standing in the front. Staff members hurried around back and forth, kept saying someone would be with us. After 10 minutes of standing around, someone finally came to the front and showed us to our table. The waitress who served us seemed a little lost and distracted. Seemed like they couldnt find our table to deliver food as we saw the person holding our pizza wandering around for a while before she finally came to ask if we had ordered it. Food: simply terrible. The pizza was floppy and not well cooked. The sauce was salty. I could have made a better one at home. Atmosphere: large area, well lit, many tables and a bar in the back. They also had a private dining area for a large party.
