The food here is always delicious! I come here every time I come to play some blackjack. The staff is always attentive and do an excellent job! I will be back!

We are a group of 16 old guys on a golf trip for a week, staying at the Golden Moon Hotel. We ate here twice during the week, and the southern dishes were great. Chicken & Dumplings, Chicken Pot Pie, and Pot Roast, among others were sampled by our group. Our host Lolita was great, & treated us like family. We dined in the back room, we got so see the kitchen staff at work. The kitchen was clean & the staff was efficient. Even for a large party, the food came out quickly & was delicious, just like home cooking should be. When we come back for our next trip, Mama 'n 'Em's will certainly be on our agenda.

We just missed breakfast but it didn’t matter. Their lunch menu is full of great options and the Lavender Earl Grey tea was an amazing start to a great meal. We received fresh cornbread and biscuits for the table while the food was prepared. I went for the biscuit and have no regrets. They were large, fluffy and buttery. I wish I took pictures of the Oxtail Big Mama’s plate but after the first bite I wasn’t able to stop! These were phenomenal, tender and the bbq sauce was a good addition with a little sweet tang and just a bit of kick. The seasonal vegetables(squash) I chose to pair with tasted great as well. A couple of us had to send compline to the chefs. Our server, Shawn was sweet and attentive. She left nothing to want for, even with an extra cup of hot water for more tea. This was a wonderful experience for our whole table and we can not wait to return.

Sitting down grabbing dinner. This little place has an amazing Shrimp Po Boy and Mac and Cheese. The Atmosphere is laid back with great blues music, the bar has a large selection of alcohol if you need a fix me up. The service is incredible, service with a smile and a laugh. It can't get much better than this. Swing by when you are at the Golden Moon and tell Miss Tysheena that Art sent you.

Mama 'N' Em serves up some seriously delicious comfort food. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful, the mac and cheese was creamy, and the collard greens were seasoned just right. However, the service was a bit lacking. My drink sat empty for quite a while, and I didn’t see any servers around even though it wasn’t busy. Despite that, the food alone makes it worth a visit!

We spent one night at the resort and tried this restaurant. Wanted to try several things from the varied menu. The tenderloin tips were diced perfectly and we're tasty and tender. The veggie plate included choices of mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables and fried okra. The only item I didn't care for was the fried okra. It was fried whole so it was difficult to eat/chew. The fried chicken was excellent, as was the chicken and grits. The service was good once we got the attention of the server..that took awhile eventing it wasn't very busy.

The food and atmosphere was good. The staff needs a lot of training in customer service . The servers had to keep coming back because he kept forgetting things each trip. My tea was empty and in line of sight for ten minutes, while he stood against the wall doing nothing. We really enjoyed the food as it was all fresh from scratch, probably one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. My family also enjoyed their food as well. Also nice that when you finish your meal, walk right out to the casino and have some fun 😊

It’s sad cause the food is pretty good, but the service was poor. My husband never was served his food after 30 minutes of waiting and myself and brother in law already finished our food. We were never given an apology or reason and we left and cancelled his order. Overall not worth it.

One of our party didn’t even receive his food until everyone else had finished eating.

I’ve visited this place twice now. Both times, terrible customer service but I gave them a second chance because the waiter may have had a bad day. This time I got a rude bar tender at 10:10pm because I walked in to dine in with my fiancé and was told we couldn’t order because they were closed. However, their business hours say 11pm and it was another guy sitting at the bar waiting, so we made a drive for nothing. Food and atmosphere is great, wish they had better customer service.

Fried green tomatoes were cold and I was told that's how they come. Okra straight out the box, meatloaf mushy. Waitress Khyal treated us like we were doing her a favor and rolled her eyes when we requested things

The food was good but the service was terrible. The host was an angry young man with the personality of burnt toast. We had to wait outside for 20 minutes so they could switch from the breakfast to lunch menu but we came for breakfast. Overall, very disappointing

Unfortunately this overpriced experience was something of a let-down. Chicken and Waffles--the waffle was soggy and cold! The chicken was excellent, however. But this was the only excellent thing. Pancakes were cold and soggy as well. Biscuits were okay except the bacon was completely raw inside one! Grits were acceptable, one supposes. But for 30 dollars a head for breakfast there really shouldn't be any mistakes at all--much less a soggy waffle! A waffle must be crisp. It is expected. It is standard. It is the basic excellence you can find for free in any hotel lobby in America. So why can't you find it here? A grand mystery. Not to mention the inexplicably "rare" bacon. Actual server did fine, no problem with them. It is the union of poor food and extreme price that is the issue. It is also rather loud.

Food and service was horrible. Our server just left us after she took our order. She did not come back until 30 minutes later with the food. The atmosphere is very nice. The restaurant was pretty empty and we waited almost 30 minutes for fried chicken. The fried chicken is very overrated. The food was just gross. Macaroni tastes like it came from a box. The prices are okay and the portion sizes are great but you get what you pay for. Very upset and disappointed. I will not dine there again. After all of this we then had to look for our server to get our ticket for food we did not eat. We told her about the dissatisfaction and she didn’t even get management to the table. Very unsatisfactory.

Horrific service- seated immediately- then sat for 15 minutes in an empty restaurant waiting for someone to get a drink order. Was told their was no tea, then they serve tea to the next couple that sat next to us, then we didn’t receive the complimentary bread until we asked, it’s been 30 minutes since we ordered our food and we are still waiting, there is only one other couple in the whole place.

Ridiculous service. 6 employees standing around doing nothing. Bartender was too busy talking to a blow hard, and after 15 minutes I walked up and interrupted to get our drinks. Server didn't know what pinoit grigio was. They do not give a rip about customers and I'll never be back, and they don't care.

So from the jump this place was terrible. Absolute trash. I made a 7pm reservation and my reservation time somehow was 7:30 instead when i got there. The crab stack was all one pale color scheme and tasted putrid. The devil eggs were rubbery whites and soupy yolk blend. We ordered a full bird for the table and waited an hour for our food. The mac n cheese was scrambled egg consistency. The mashed potatoes were instant potatoes when advertised and buttermilk mashed. Everything was severely under seasoned. The fried okra was good. Only eat that. Or just don’t go here.

No server came over after 15 minutes flagged down manager, she got her, we ordered and she walked off, never ordered our drinks so again when manager walked around asking if everything was ok, we told her we never received our drinks, she made them for us then food took over 38 minutes and when it was brought out Stone cold. Would NOT recommend at all!

The worst food I have ever put my mouth! My wife and both had greens and black eyed peas The greens had way to much pepper in them the black eye taste like a bad gumbo. I had the grill pork chop it was not grilled it was boiled! I wouldn’t feed this food to pigs they need to learn what Southern cooking is all about

If you can get in, good luck. Oh they don't use open table even though it's on open table. They also don't have a working phone number. So don't know how to get reservations, it's the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

We have been coming to the golden moon for years We loved ..say it again loved your restaurant But when we look online and it says you close at 9:00 and we get there at 8:30 but won’t let us order That is wrong I will never eat there again

The absolute worse place I've ever ate at the service was Terrible we sat at the table over an hour waiting for our food. I waited 30 minutes for a bloody Mary redamndecilous

First they dont take call in reservations. Thats ok. Then if you walk down no tables till 9. It was 7 and plenty of open tables. I went into town,got seafood, ate, returned and same tables still empty at 745. Lady at front door super rude.

Very poor service! It took an hour for our food to come and it wasn’t even hot! Ordered the catfish meal and it was nothing but bones!!

Absolutely the worst service from any place I've ever eaten. We got sat at a table and waited for about 20 minutes, nobody even took our drink order. Same with the table beside us. The people beside us just left and we moved to the bar. The bartender past us probably 25 times and never took our drink order either. Pretty sure we were treated this way because we are white. We left never having even a drink.

Waited 45 min for a beer and a glass of wine - we got there at 7pm for dinner and our server said there was no bartender on shift. Food came out a while later. My husbands $40 steak came out well done (ordered medium rare) and my chicken pot pie had maybe 3 chunks of chicken in it. Mac and cheese literally tasted like the cheese from stadium nachos - super gross. Worst dining and service experience we have had in a long time.
