Exelente lugar para ir a visitar, excelente vista al Popocatépetl, si llevan carro bajito se va dificultar llegar al lugar, si padeces de presión alta te vas a agitar demasiado.

Nos recomendaron este sitio para probar su típico pulque. Sirven versión natural y curada. El top fue el dueño tan amable que nos empezó a contar historias de la ciudad y las tradiciones locales. Sitio especial!

Fue el primer lugar que me llamó al llegar a la ciudad, y estoy súper agradecida porque llenó mi estómago y corazón por completo. El dueño es súper amable y pasional con lo que hace; la dedicación con la que te describe su menú y los ingredientes que lo integran hacen del lugar único y orgánico. Lugar acogedor, cálido y tranquilo para degustar comida y bebida saludable, diferente y muy sabrosa. No sé pierdan visitar está joyita de Cholula, sin duda 100% recomendada. Yo probé el Tlaske, una buena Tortilla Cholulteca y su respectivo pulque 🤤. Gracias Xchel por la buena compañía y charla, un placer coincidir en esta vida👐🏻

Esta increíble el lugar. Tiene toda la buena vibra. Al entrar la energía se convierte en alegría. La decoración y concepto excelente, y la opción de estar afuera con los camastros al aire libre le da un plus esencial. Quienes nos atendieron fueron muy cordiales y amables. El servicio es rápido y todo lo preparan al momento. Hasta los curados del pulque te los preparan en el momento.

Maravilloso lugar para tomar pulque. La comida es riquísima también. Recomiendo la tortilla Cholulteca.

Comida y bebida muy rico todo, servicio muy bien. El único detalle que veo es que no existe una carta con los precios ó al menos yo no la vi. Aún así por dos personas el costo fue de 370 pesos aproximadamente y salimos muy satisfechos

El lugar que más disfrutamos en Cholula, muy rica comida y el mejor Pulque natural y auténtico. Sin falta pasen a probar la exquisita Tortilla Choluteca. Probamos 7 salsas distintas, todas muy ricas y picosas para todos los gustos. Abrazos para Albina, Xchel y su padre que nos recibieron increible! Hasta una siguiente oportunidad amigos! El joven de cabello largo es muy buena onda con todos sean de donde sean, el pulque esta muy rico de sabor y para los pequeños les ofrece una bebida parecida al yakult con algún sabor igual muy rico.

Excelente servicio, calidez incomparable, lugar para platicar, la comida es hecha con productos orgánicos, venta de cerveza, pulque, y mezcal, excelente música.

A truly authentic and charming café 😍😍😍 The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they shared fascinating stories about the city’s history and its food, which made the experience even more special. The cheese and veggie quesadilla was absolutely outstanding. The drinks were delicious, and the service was exceptional. They genuinely understand hospitality. Very generous, warm, and attentive. Superrrr rico todo! El pulque de guayaba y cacahuate increíbles! La tortilla Cholulteca tienen que probarla! Y las quesadillas! La atención de 10 también, muy amables el padre e hijo que tienen su negocio hace 25 años. No duden en visitarlo.

Lugar local y auténtico con pulques naturales y frescos de muchos sabores. También tienen una bebida de yogurt deliciosa y la clásica tortilla cholulteca (de champiñones, huitlacoche o rajas, todas buenísimas). Pet friendly y te tratan como si fueras a casa de un buen amigo. 🐾🌿

Llegamos sin saber qué esperar y salimos fascinados, la tortilla cholulteca estaba deliciosa, una porción generosa a muy buen precio, también el pulque de manzana y el tlaxke de piña estaban exquisitos. We came for a tour of Cholula and our guide recommended this restaurant. The food and service were wonderful. We were also treated to an impromptu mezcal tasting so of course we left with a few bottles. This restaurant is not to be missed as part of a culinary tour.

I’m going to be chasing the high of Chels pulque forever. I’ve had pulque in several Mexican states now and this was, by far, the freshest and tastiest I’ve ever had. The owner Chel (I might be misspelling his name, but he’s amazing), was so incredibly welcoming! We spent the day at the museum reading entirely in Spanish for several hours and our brains were FRIED yall. We were welcomed in, treated to a unique, delicious (and vegetarian I believe) homemade meal. And Chel speaks English, which for our very fried brains was perfect (we can get by in Spanish but I could barely get two words out in English that day lol). We never felt rushed or talked down to—instead we literally felt like we were having lunch and drinks at a local friends. If you’re in Cholula don’t hesitate friends!

Possibly one of my favourite dining experiences. This small, beautifully designed restaurant seats about 15 people and serves Mexican home-style food. Do not come here if you are in a rush. It is a place to slow down, have a drink, chat, and enjoy the experience. Xchel takes all the orders and cooks everything himself. There is no menu; he simply tells you what he can make and prepares it fresh. He speaks excellent English and can easily adjust for dietary needs. Make sure you try the pulque. The restaurant has a warm, intimate atmosphere, and the music was so good that I asked Xchel for the playlist, which he kindly shared. If you enjoy places with personality and something a bit different, stop here. Have a drink, have a chat, and enjoy some fantastic food.

A really special find!! A wonderful evening with excellent food, drinks, and a warm welcome We are both vegetarian and had the Tortilla Choluteka with Huitlacoche. It’s a dish created by Xchel’s father with layers of delicious tortilla, veg, cheese and huitlacoche (or other flavours- several to choose from), you have to try it! We also enjoyed trying the Pulque and Kirado, both drinks that were new to us, as well as learning about the area and the food from Xchel 🙂 We left full and happy and we know we will remember this as a food highlight of our 6 weeks in Mexico

Amazing and fun experience after the pyramids! Had the peanut pulque and then a huuuuge meal! The pulque was delicious and had many options, but I swear after the first few drinks of getting accustomed to it the typical tart pulque flavor it tasted almost like a peanut butter milkshake!

What a unique find! This place was exactly what I was seeking: authenticity, an escape from the city hustle and the best darn pulque I’ve had in Mexico. It’s family-ran and they make you feel right at home the minute you step in. The father explained to me the flavors of pulque as well as the traditional dish they serve (tortilla Choluteca). The son, Chel (I may be spelling that wrong) was equally hospitable and served up some stellar salsas. This place is a must when strolling through magical Cholula. Next year when I’m here, I’ll be bringing my entire group of friends!

The main dish, Tortilla Cholulteca, is one of the best meals I've had. Ever! It is a vegetation meal and he made it vegan on request (sin queso). And this is traditional food you won't find anywhere else. The place is really cute and it is a locally run and owned. The owner and I had a long conversation and ended us sitting diwn for lunch together. He helped me with directions and advice on where to go next! (Yes, I did visit the Cafe and it's so lovely!!!) Thank you so much for the lovely lunch. This place is a MUST!

El lugar es bastante agradable atendido por su propietario, contando con pulques y mezcales, estos últimos están ricos y se siente el alcohol por lo que puede llegar a pegar y más con calor, la carta de alimentos aun es muy corta por nueva repertura a estas fechas aún, pero su principal es la tortilla cholulteca, platillo original del dueño con premio en concurso de alimentos de la region, contando con varias salsas a probar, es muy llenador y sobre todo ligero pues es casi vegetariano, su planta alta esta muy coqueta para estar en piso platicando y conviviendo, se recomienda visitar y probar.

Koatlikue es un lugar que se define bastante por su esencia! Consumir local; esto porque tratan de llevar su menú (que no es muy amplio) en una experiencia de productos locales y utilizar lo menos transgénico o comercial. Dicho eso, actualmente no preparan algo con carne pero en mi caso, la tortilla Cholulteca (la más grande) bastó para llenarnos bien para 3 personas. Las bebidas están muy ricas, yo recomendaría más pedir una jarra si es que no quieres cervezas artesanales o pulque. La atención fue muy buena, te sientes en casa, pienso que también da un toque el no tener tantas mesas para mantener esa misma calidez. Lo recomendaría para una experiencia diferente y saludable, en mi caso no probé el pulque pero los digestivos que tenían eran buenos, pensaría que si es la otra estrella del lugar, debería estar muy rico!

Es un lugar peculiar. La comida y bebida es peculiar. Es lento el servicio porque solo lo atiende 1 persona y en alguna horas 2. Solo se paga en efectivo. Es muy rústica su instalación y sanitarios . La calidad de los alimentos no es mala....pero tampoco es excepcional. No hay menú infantil ni sillas para bebé ni cambiador.

Para turistas o visitantes, no lo recomiendo. Supieron que no éramos locales y el dueño dijo que no había menú, nos quería preparar un único platillo (que está a $150 en menú) a $270, le pedimos directamente el menú 2 veces y en ambas negó que hubiera, por lo que nos retiramos de ahí
