Five stars aren't enough; if I could, I'd give them the entire sky. We went for the first time a few Sundays ago, during the market in Borgo D'Ale. We booked the Saturday before and they were very kind in accommodating us by finding us a place to eat. The place is welcoming and feels like home. The set menu is fantastic with exceptional ingredients. We were treated so well, as if we were longtime customers. Besides Marika's kindness and smile, I have to say that the owner, Roberto, was no exception. We thank you for everything, including the salami, which we later enjoyed at home. Today I returned and found the same authentic and abundant dishes as before, and the owner Piero is always kind and attentive to all his customers. Now I'll definitely return when I can. Il Cigno in Cigliano is an excellent representation of authentic Piedmontese cuisine. Filati speak and fondue, a classic regional dish, are expertly and tastefully prepared, offering an authentic and delicious culinary experience. The chef (wife of Piero, the owner) is truly talented. In the spring and summer, there are two spacious outdoor seating areas and an indoor dining room. Professional and knowledgeable staff. We went today and had a divine meal. Zero-mile products. All their own production. The service was friendly and available to answer any questions. The owner is a wonderful host who speaks with everyone in a friendly way, making you feel at home. I recommend stopping by. And anyone who isn't in Cigliano should go there specifically.

We went to the farm on Sunday, December 15, 2019, but we've been there before. Nothing has changed. The food continues to be good, with good home cooking, friendly service, and good value for money. As another reviewer noted, "Bring a teetotaler to drive you home." They're right, because at the end of the meal, in addition to coffee and PUSA CAFFÈ, they also serve sweets in alcohol with various herbs and spices—good but quite strong. Recommended farm.

The first time we had lunch at this "Agriturismo" was a Sunday three years ago, when we had a great lunch yesterday, Sunday, April 6, 2025. We returned, but alas, we had a terrible experience... except for the very kind staff, both young and old. Here is our opinion of the various aspects that characterize this place... LOCATION, STAFF, AND SERVICES: 1) External location... unrealistic, an agritourism... there's apparently nothing there... simply an internal courtyard with some former pigsties, Rating 0; 3) Staff... very efficient, very kind, Rating 10; 2) Dining room... spacious and clean, a bit noisy; it would be enough to install some sound-absorbing panels on the ceiling to prevent the walls from becoming a sound box, Rating 7; 3) Bathrooms... very clean and modern, Rating 10; -COVER CHARGE: Well-set table, clean plates and dishes, industrial bread and breadsticks, wine on tap, both sparkling and still water, Rating 7. -APPETIZERS: 1) Cold cuts... namely lard and salami, essentially two very traditional cold cuts, and it's rare to find bad ones, at least in an Agriturismo... or apparently one... Rating 6; 2) Vitello tonnato... ditto, a standard and always questionable appetizer, Rating 6; 3) Alba, INEDIBLE, DISGUSTING, DUE TO THE HORRIBLE OIL (sunflower) IT WAS PREPARED IN, DROWNED, Rating 0. - FIRST COURSE and only: 1) White wine risotto, well cooked but still a basic risotto, Rating 6. - MAIN COURSE and only: 1) Pork, roasted and reheated so dry without any added flavor or accompaniment, side of French fries, Rating 5. - DESSERTS: 1) Ciglianese cake, Rating NV; 2) Tiramisu, Rating NV; 4) panna cotta (chosen dessert)..., Rating 6. - COFFEE AND BITTER/DISTILLATES: 1) espresso..., piping hot and burnt, a piece of junk, as Totò would say... it's well known, if the restaurant only makes a few coffees, it would be better to have a pod machine..., Rating 0; 2) bitters/distillates..., various and traditional, Rating 6. - COST/PRICE PER PERSON: €35.00 TOTAL RATING: 4.3 (rating based on average calculation). CONCLUSIONS We don't care about price, but if we choose an "agriturismo" (farm stay), we want to be there and have lunch with foods and products produced, processed, and cooked according to the category of the business... and the local area... in which it operates. FOR US, IL CIGNO IS FAR FROM ITS NAME TODAY. WE HOPE TO BE ABLE TO READ IN THE FUTURE THAT AGRITURISMO IL CIGNO HAS RETURNED TO ITS ORIGINS. Thank you all for your attention. Unnecessary rudeness. We go today, after the Borgo d'Ale market, at 1:30 pm, we ask if there is a place for two even while waiting, the girl we find serving a table, doesn't even look at us and responds "we are packed, bye!" then turns and leaves, turning her back on us. We have rarely found such unnecessarily rudeness, we advise anyone who is in the area against it. * response to the owner: THERE IS NO second chance to make a good first impression! We are traders too and we understand the job, but this was really a disturbing approach.
