Food is delicious and with a reasonable price. The menu is huge and there's really many things to try. The service although was very slow and the waiter seemed not even noticed us at the beginning, and at the end, when we waited for the bill it took more than 5 mins... And it was pretty empty at that time. In that case they can't wait for any tip! If you want a good - delicious food, that's the place to go. Recommend 👍🏻
Located in the Lower Level of Barcelo Reforma Hotel, this gem of a Japanese restaurant features a sushi bar, regular bar and a semi-traditional Japanese feel. The waiters can and will speak Japanese if you converse with them in Nihongo. However, they also speak Spanish and English as well. The dishes are extremely delicious and the service is fantastic. The addition of some Mexican chilies and spices add to the zing of the flavor in the sushi and sauces that accompany the dishes. The Asahi Super Dry was the coldest beer I have had in recent time...it was as if it was on the verge of being frozen, but still liquid enough to wash down the goodness. Well recommended.
Traditional Japanese restaurant located in the Barcelo hotel. The interior of the restaurant is very authentic and the atmosphere is relaxed. During my visit there were a few tables with Japanese customers (always a good sign). I would recommend the udon noodles. prices are reasonable and service is excellent.

This is not Ramen. And this is not Chinese or Thai cuisine. A miserable imitation. The quality of food is bad. In the restaurant, no employee speaks English. This is in the tourist area of the city!

Ordered a few dishes from this place, one of them was their classic ramen - it is not even close to all ramens I've tried before. Also, my friend got salmon sashimi and didn't finish it.
Exhausted from a day tour to Teotihuacan so we popped in for quick dinner. Very disappointed. I ordered Tempura Soba. Tempura was cold & mushy. Soba noodles & broth was lukewarm. Too tired to critique food. Server was very attentive. We will not go back.
Lovely restaurant with pleasant service however the food is SERIOUSLY lacking. If your only experience with Japanese food is Benihana then I’m sure you’ll love it. The chasu ramen was terrible. I’m pretty sure the chasu was actually beef and the “pork” broth was more like the water they used to wash the pig. The tanmen was rather flavorless. The Karaage chicken was bizarre and the breading was heavy. The gyoza are not made fresh, probably packaged. The prices were very reasonable but still felt like it wasn’t a great value because the food was not enjoyable.
We ordered sashimi mixto & sushi mix Both had fishy smell (not a good smell) Unfortunately we did’n try Udon. Maybe we can try later, but we did not recommend sashimi . The place is in the Hotel …
We were a party of 10 and the service was absolutely terrible. We waited for someone to take our drinks and but nobody took our order despite the restaurant being empty and having a full staff. The food was absolutely terrible. The fried rice was the WORST rice i have ever had. The yakitori chicken was okay, nothing special. I got a whiskey sour drink and it had zero alcohol. Such a disappointing dinner, the worst in Mexico City during our trip.
I was disappointed with the Daikoku Reforma location. The food was mediocre and service was lacking, despite many staff members walking around. We waited food for a long time and each meal came separately. My worst experience was that the server added a 15% service charge without even asking. I'll not likely to return.
The food is not Japanese style at all…ramen is just salt water with noodles. And the shabu shabu is very terrible. The source is not right, the soup is not right…. If I am Japanese, I’ll be very angry.
If you are looking to get ramen made with store bought Knorr chicken broth, you are at the right place. This restaurant makes the top 5 list of the worst restaurants I have been to in Mexico City.
I had a meal here on the evening of February 24 and I got food poisoning. I ordered a Chicken Katsu Curry and three individual pieces of Nigiri (tuna, salmon, and eel). I could tell even when eating the Chicken Katsu Curry that something didn’t taste right - looking back I think they most probably microwaved a piece of breaded chicken (and possibly the sauce). Whatever it was it didn’t taste right. Even the Nigiri didn’t taste right - the salmon was dark on the edges that indicated the fish wasn’t fresh - I did not eat this and left it there. The eel Nigiri was cold (normally it was warm). The tuna was just OK. I asked for the cheque and considering I ordered three expensive pieces of individual sushi and the waiter saw that I didn’t touch the salmon one, he was more interested in asking for a tip rather than asking about whether I enjoyed the food and was there something wrong with the sushi. I have been sick for two days and it is 100% because of the food I ate from this restaurant. If I had known now that I was going to be this sick afterwards I would have complained. Steer clear of this restaurant.
Not great, place was quiet, so we sat there and watched them microwave the dishes we ordered them at weren’t sushi. Awkward staff service that wasn’t great.
