Llegamos a Fónico a compartir nuestra cena de fin de año, el servicio es excelente, tenían una cena de 5 tiempos que estuvo deliciosa, la sopa de habas y el pudín festivo fueron el top de La noche, las Mezcalita estaban deliciosas. Quedamos súper satisfechos con la experiencia culinaria del lugar. Tienen varios premios por su coctelería.

La arquitectura del lugar, la decoración y la iluminación lo hacen elegante y con un ambiente misterioso. Está dentro de una casa/edificio con acabados y detalles muy bonitos. La comida, muy bien. Porciones pequeñas pero con extraordinario sabor, en mi caso probé varias entradas y ninguna decepciona. De platos fuertes también tienen muchas opciones. Los postres combinan perfecto con sus acompañamientos. Los únicos inconvenientes que tuve es que hacía mucho calor y tardaron en prender el aire y que al estar lloviendo hubo momentos de mal olor, pero pasó rápido.

Anoche durante la cena de año nuevo no me sentía bien, hace una semana estoy tomando medicamento y creo eso me afectó, fui al baño y la señorita al darse cuenta que no me sentía bien llamó a otra chica muy amable, total fueron 4 chicas de fónico a auxiliarme, me ayudaron, me dieron agua, coca cola para la presión, un dulce, me pusieron agua en la cabeza, me ofrecieron pasar a un salón a recostarme y todo el tiempo estuvieron pendientes y fueron muy amables, al final pedimos nuestra cena para llevar y recibimos el año nuevo en casa. Agradezco infinito su preocupación y su ayuda.

Buena atención, tiempo de servicio normal, precios altos. Todas las bebidas y platillos buenos, cantidades pequeñas, el.montaje de los platillos es bonita. Todo lo que pedimos nos gusto, con excepción de los chiles en nogada aunque hicimos la observación y el personal lo resolvió de manera eficaz y muy amable en todo momento.

Me encantaron los chips, el queso fundido con hongos, muy bueno! Lo mejor de lo mejor, el pastel 3 leches, horrible!, lo quisieron hacer muy Gourmet, parecía que se les rompió y nos dieron las migajas con una leche súper dulce, muy feo! Lo dorado de adorno sin sabor, le pusieron color pero la presentación fea al remojarse el pan, ya eso parecía vómito! Por el precio pensaba que recibiría cosas de alta calidad y si hay calidad pero no en todos los platillos. Unas cosas si otras no.

Me gustó mucho el lugar, todo el personal muy amable, pedimos una ensalada César, ceviche, aguachile y de postre unos churros (los recomiendo totalmente), todos los alimentos tenían un excelente sabor. Los tragos también estaban muy bien preparados. En la parte arriba está el bar con terraza y de igual manera el personal muy amable y el ambiente es agradable.

El lugar es increíble, ambiente relajado, el trato de todos los trabajadores es excelente, la atención y el servicio que nos brindó Alejandra fue un 10/10 y la comida espectacular 🤤, definitivamente un lugar al que volvería mil veces.

Desdé la entrada el lugar espectacular, el ambiente y la decoración son muy bonitos, nosotros tuvimos una reservación para 7 personas y nos atendieron maravillosamente el personal siempre al pendiente. Nosotros pedimos platillos de estradas para compartir y lo que más nos gustó fueron las ostras 10/10 el ceviche negro espectacular al igual que sus enchiladas. Tienen gran variedad de cócteles y vinos. Deja espacio para los postres.

Excelente servicio y ambientación del lugar, muy lindo. La comida es un poco costosa pero rica, recomiendo mucho el Ceviche, estaba delicioso. El pulpo y las enmoladas también son estuvieron ricas, el taco de camarón es el único que me pareció muy simple.

Definitivamente un hermoso lugar. Ambiente y espacio: Ingresar es sentirse en un refugio moderno dentro de una joya arquitectónica histórica. El espacio es elegante sin pretensiones. Cocina y platos: Cada platillo es una propuesta refinada, con ingredientes del noroeste combinados con técnica contemporánea. Sabores auténticos, pero reinventados. El short rib braseado y la pesca del día destacan por su equilibrio y frescura, y el cheesecake de lychee es un postre memorable . Servicio y ritmo: Profesional, atento y sin complicaciones. Ideal para cenar bien y enfocarse en la comida, sin distracciones.

Lugar con comida mexicana contemporánea de autor muy recomendable. Platillos muy trabajados, interesantes y de muy buen sabor. El ambiente es elegante para una cita y el servicio es excelente. Recomendaciones: esquites de entrada y los churros de postre.

¡Me encantó el lugar! Todo es realmente bonito y el servicio es excelente: te atienden de manera súper amable y todo el personal es muy atento, haciendo que te sientas cómodo desde el momento en que llegas. Además, te permiten dar un pequeño recorrido por todo el restaurante, que tiene una temática especial, y en el piso superior puedes encontrar un spot increíble para fotos. Si estás celebrando un aniversario, tienen un detalle precioso: te sorprenden con un flan y una carta con una frase bonita. La comida es deliciosa y el personal se toma el tiempo de explicarte los alimentos que vas a disfrutar.

Fuimos por un aniversario y nos decidimos por el menu de degustacion y fue la mejor decisión. Todo estuvo increíble y cada platillo era mejor que el anterior. La atención recibida y cada detalle hicieron de este aniversario una ocasión verdaderamente especial.

We had a lovely meal here and the atmosphere is very cool. Everything is black and white, even some of their dishes. The table decorations were lovely as well, but also flammable (candle next to dry flowers). We initially came for the tasting menu but once we saw the other menu options we went off script and ordered a lovely three course meal. We had a wonderful dinner here for our 15 year wedding anniversary this month. I selected Fonico because their online menu looked fabulous, with prices that we could actually afford in contrast to some other highly rated restaurants in CDMX, and the atmosphere looked gorgeous online. FONICO DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Our server, Sebastian, was attentive without being overbearing, made a delicious cocktail suggestion based on our palate, and was super warm and friendly. We started with the queso fundido, which was tasty but a little on the heavy side. The little cups of salsa they gave us were really nice (especially the yellow one in the middle). Our dinners were spectacular - I had the confit suckling pig and it just melted in my mouth, and my husband had the glazed beef brisket with dried chilis and couldn't stop talking about how all of the flavors worked so perfectly together. Everything was perfect for our anniversary, and I will absolutely return to Fonico in the future.

Fonico is a gorgeous restaurant with amazing food, drink, and service. The queso fundido, aguachile negro, mole negro enchiladas, and chicken with mole coloradito were all great! Amazing meal in a beautiful location! Eduardo and Sebastian took great care of us, beginning with wine/drinks through each course. We opted for the tasting menu - INCREDIBLE! My favorites were the Toasted Almond Mole Tostada, Sweet Corn Soup (OMG AMAZING), and the Piglet! Highly recommend to visit and enjoy a wonderful meal!

We were seated right away and warmly welcomed by our server, Eduardo, who was absolutely phenomenal. He gave excellent recommendations—we tried the ceviche, queso fundido, and beef, all of which were incredibly delicious 🤤. For drinks, I had the Cantero, which was fantastic. Every recommendation exceeded my expectations. Although I was too full to order dessert, they surprised me with chocolate cookies for my birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. I would definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant, especially with Eduardo as your server. His service was attentive, professional, and thoughtful, and the overall cleanliness and responsiveness of the staff made the night even more enjoyable.

Fantastic food and fantastic service for a reasonable price in Mexico City. This is one of the better restaurants in the city — which says a lot given its culinary magic. We ordered the traditional ceviche, elote covered with an avocado puree, mini quesadillas filled with pork, a mole-covered enchilada, and chocolate churros. In addition to the food, the service was excellent. I’d highly recommend this place to those who live in or visit Mexico City.

Absolutely obsessed!!!! From the ambiance to the bites. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a grand staircase that instantly sets the tone. It’s a bold centerpiece that draws you in. Once inside, the design just keeps unfolding. Think floor-to-ceiling natural light contrasted with moody black walls, softened by lush greenery throughout. Whoever curated the space deserves serious praise!!! It feels like an elegant maze, with each floor offering its own little visual surprise. The food is just as memorable. We started with the tuna tostadas and ceviche, both absolute standouts. I’m still dreaming about those tostadas… the flavor was so rich and unexpected, it almost felt like a different protein entirely (in the best way). We followed with the quesadillas and ended on a high note with some of the best churros I’ve ever had. Chocolate but with three different dips- - fruit foam, ice cream, and chocolate! If you're in the area, Fornico is an absolute must. Trust me, you won’t regret it!!

We went there for dinner last month while on vacation. First we noticed how beautiful the atmosphere is. Our waiter, Eduardo, was very friendly and helpful. He has a great sense of humor and bantered with all of us! The food was excellent! We ordered the tomato soup and shared a steak and the appetizer tacos, which were delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly! My husband ordered guacamole and a chicken mole. He loved those as well! The sommelier chose a great wine to go with our food! One of the best meals we had in Mexico City. Restaurant is gorgeous, food is amazing, and service from Alejandra was both warm and charming. Me pusieron en barra con lo que el ambiente no me pareció especial. No lo vi como un lugar especialmente bonito. La sopa de lentejas es muy interesante y rica. La carne me gustó aunque le pondría más salsa para que no se note seca. La salsa de guayaba es picante y deliciosa. Los famosos churros me parecieron algo sin más. Es de un precio muy elevado.

En general la experiencia es buena, tiene su encanto. Sin embargo, hay muchos detalles que podrían hacerlo mejor. El servicio es lento, todos muy amables pero lentísimo, inclusive tuvimos que pedir varias veces cosas que nunca llegaban (pudimos haber bebido más 😉 pero se les olvidaban nuestros pedidos de bebida). La comida está muy rica, solo el risotto se siente un poco arenoso. El tres leches de coco fue mi máximo en la vida, que rico! El lugar es hermoso y la terraza interior tiene mas ambiente de fiesta con música alta, adentro un poco más sobrio el restaurante.

La comida es deliciosa y original. Todos los alimentos perfectamente sazonados y con un sabor único… hasta el guacamole tiene un toque especial. Las enchiladas de mole rellenas de plátano macho son un manjar. Porciones pequeñas/medianas. Si eres de buen comer, una entrada, una sopa y plato fuerte es la elección. Los contras: el ambiente, no sé cómo describirlo, pero es más hacia lo serio y formal; pero lugar en realidad no tiene esa vibra, es más relajado. El salón está muy encerrado, es demasiado oscuro. El servicio es muy bueno en general; conocen muy bien el menú. Aunque sí me dio la impresión en algún punto que nuestra mesera se “cansó” de responder nuestras preguntas (acerca de los platillos y detalles del menú). Regresaría por la comida sin duda, aunque probablemente a otra sección del restaurante.

Sabores familiares presentado de manera creativa, probamos el menú degustación de 8 tiempos, vale la pena pedirlo aunque sea una vez en la vida, su punto débil es el mobiliario tan incómodo.

Decir que “se ve mejor de lo que está” es una máxima en este lugar. Es un lugar con una decoración que derrama personalidad, tiene estilo y es lo que en mi opinión más se puede destacar de la visita a este restaurante. Para comenzar recomiendo el ceviche. Platillo muy fresco ,de sabores ligeros y con buenos ingredientes. Por otro lado no recomiendo las tostadas de atún. Están bañadas en un tipo mole y es un sabor que aunque es diferente no es memorable. La hamburguesa le sobra presentación y le falta sabor. Risotto creo que vale la pena. El servicio llega a ser lento pero la atención siempre es amable sobre todo por parte del capitán. Resolvió todas nuestras dudas y siempre estuvo al pendiente de nuestra mesa. En resumen creo que vale la pena la visita por el lugar, música y ambiente. Un restaurante en el que lo que más destaca no es la comida deja que desear.

Tenía expectativas muy altas sobre este restaurante y me decepciono. La comida es rica pero nada inolvidable, los meseros te dan todo un discurso sobre cada platillo, sin embargo el servicio es malo, super lento, tuve que pedir varias veces un refresco e insistir para que me trajeran una salsa. Tardan demasiado, el ambiente aburrido, mucha gente y muy caro.

He ido en varias ocasiones y siempre la atención había sido de primera. Se nos ocurrió ir en el evento del 14 de febrero y fue mala experiencia. El restaurante saturó el lugar y no se daban abasto. Desde la llegada me hicieron esperar aún cuando uno de mis amigos (extranjero) ya estaba adentro y hasta que llegó otro amigo (extranjero) me dejaron pasar ¿? No quisiera pensar que fue racismo pero antes de mí dejaron pasar a otros extranjeros de inmediato. La atención fue mala por lo saturado que ya estaba el restaurante. No pienso volver y es una pena porque la comida del chef Billy Maldonado es una joya 💎

So... A lot to talk about Fonico. First, the food is really good, that's out of discussion. We ordered the 8-course menu and it is pretty good though (Fonda style but taking all dishes to a next level). Second, the service. It started all good until the place started to get crowded and the attention went down to almost zero. They even left us waiting for our 7th and 8th courses for about 30 minutes each or so. Atmosphere... The place is nice, but the 2-people tables are limited and so close to each other. It is really uncomfortable to eat next to someone (but super close) that you don't even know. When the restaurant is full, the noise is so much that you can feel like you are in the market. Worse of the worst: somehow they allowed a dog to enter the restaurant (accompanying a customer seated just behind us). It was truly disappointing because I am allergic to dogs and the restaurant (which is not pet friendly, by the way) did not care at all, not even cared to ask if the customers around the dog's table were OK with the dog being there.
