Great food. Visit this restaurant every time we are on the island, twice this time! Highly recommend.

Our second stay around Cala Blanca and we couldn’t wait to go and have another Evening meal here , I’m writing this review being our FOURTH visit to The Raj over the two stays we’ve had . The waiter is a very quite chap , but don’t let this give you the wrong impression, when you get talking with him he is a lovely kind gentle guy , with an amazing happy smile , iv never met the chef so can’t comment on him , but as a chef he is truly fantastic at what he prepares, the tastes are so flavourful and complex from the rice to the main courses, I wish this was my local Indian restaurant back at home, we all walked passed The Raj today around midday and we sure the waiter ( I’m sure he’s the owner ) cleaning around and getting ready for his evening opening , he saw us and couldn’t wave and say hello quick enough, an absolute gem of a place

Great meal for 4 last night. Were concerned as curries we've had in Spain previously had been a bit grim, but all of the food we had was fantastic. Tasted great and those of us that wanted hot got what we wanted. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely no problem in giving this restaurant a 5 Star review. Excellent authentic Indian food. Waiting staff were very polite even asking if we wanted a short rest between starters and mains. We can’t think what other people were thinking giving this establishment negative feedback. If we come to Menorca again we will seek this restaurant out again.

The garlic chicken massala was sensational. Great vegetarian selection. Not greasy. The mushroom rice is also delicious. We went twice in one week. Highly recommend.

We went in for food even after reading a bad review and to be honest the food was beautiful. There was 3 of us and we all had something different all tastes great. So much so we have went back for our last dinner before we go home. Would definitely recommend trying this place.

We love this restaurant in Cala Blanca and always ensure we visit 2 or 3 times when we're on holiday in the resort. The food is delicious with a huge choice of dishes on the menu and Amal and Mo give great customer service. We'll be back soon 😎

One of the best Indian restaurants you'll eat in, food is amazing helpful staff. Once the food was served at our table the staff informed us that we could change are meal if it ended up that we didn't like what we ordered which is good. Def be trying it again.

The staff are nice, the atmosphere is quiet and the food is fresh and very very nice. Tasty, and a lovely Indian meal out. Would return again if there wasn't so many places to eat, we are only here for 7 days so want to try all restaurants. We had 2 different curries, 2 rice, cheese naan, and a platter of random bites. The price was 53 euros.

Very busy when we went but didn't mind waiting. Sat & enjoyed a drink. Food was really tasty & just what we were looking for. Would go back again.

First time here and the food is fantastic, nice big portions and flavourful. Set in a lovely Spanish "high street" we are at around 7pm which it was quiet just before sunset. I had the chilli masala with pilau rice and keema naan and it was all just spot on. Waiter/owner was really nice. Great Indian food and at a reasonable price.

We visited this restaurant whilst on holiday and had a fabulous meal. My son had chicken nuggets and chips as well as a Nan which he very much enjoyed. My wife and I had curries which were very tasty and enjoyable. The setting was lovely and we had a great time.

Really nice place to eat! Food was lovely, reasonably priced and arrived in good time! Nice and quiet area while we ate (arrived at around 6.30pm) would recommend if you're in the mood for a curry!

He cenado estupendamente. Cosas a mejorar: - La iluminación de podría mejorar, ya que en el interior, es un poco justa y está un poco oscuro. - La decoración también es mejorable. - La velocidad al servir también se puede mejorar, aunque este punto lo explicaré más adelante. A pesar de eso, la comida estaba muy buena. El precio también me ha parecido adecuado para la comida que hemos pedido, y el trato ha sido muy agradable. Como punto a favor me parece a destacar que antes de empezar ya me han avisado que iban a tardar un poco en servirnos, por lo que no nos ha importado esperar. En otros sitios tardan y te desesperas, ya que al no avisarte, esperas un trato más rápido. Los platos tenían un tamaño adecuado para el precio. Si buscas un lugar distinto donde comer, me parece un buen lugar para comer o cenar.

We recently enjoyed a quiet, no nonsense Indian meal here. We were one of the few customers arriving just after sunset, early in June. We sat outside and a polite gentleman served us. I went for a chilled pint of beer and my wife had an enormous mango lassi. We shared a bottle of water. I started with onion bhajis followed by a really good, extra spicy chicken chili masala and pilau rice. My wife had a mild chicken mango curry and a nan bread. All the food was good. The bill came to just over 44€ which was very reasonable. Actually whilst the service was good the place did lack any real atmosphere. Never mind.

One had tarka dal: which was for 4* One had paneer Tika masala which is not on the menu. That was 1*. It was like cottage cheese in katchup souce. If it wasn't for the Tarka dal that was fine, it would be 1* Combined the rating is 3* Better go to Masala Indian near Ciutadalla as the food and service was better. (Same owner though)

Went there on the last day of my family holiday, was nice and everyone there was super nice.. from what I remember it was okay, nothing to be that hyped about. But it was something different from the other restaurants in the area

Really looked forward to having a good Indian meal, but was disappointed. The pickle tray had raita was like milk not a good yogurt substance and rest of the pickles weren’t great either. Then the wait for the main was a good half to three quarters of an hour, we thought they had forgotten us! The waiter was not a happy person either.

Chicken tikka starter rubber like but palatable , onion Bhaji has potato in but ok. Naan bread is 2.5 euros a piece and is not the naan you’re probably used to it’s like a sort of crispy pizza without the topping - I guess they don’t have a proper Naan oven …. but the major problem was the chicken korma and tikka Marsala both had minimal chicken in ( 5 small pieces ) but worse extreme amount of sugar in and after sending back and receiving new sauces still were just too sugary. The explanation given was that 99% of clients are English and this is what they’re used to. Well I have had hundreds of curries across the length and breadth of the Uk and I haven’t tasted anything quite so sugary in my life . I will never ever go back

Anybody who has tasted Indian cuisine before would never say the food here tasted Indian. This restaurant was the worst decision taken during our trip to Menorca. Biriyani had bell peppers and some yellow food coloring so dark that it left a stain on my jacket. Paneer tasted like it was an year old and dug from its frozen grave. So, do yourself a favor and go try some yummy Spanish food instead.

I strongly urge anyone considering a visit to this establishment to rethink their decision immediately. Upon entering, we were greeted by an unpleasant odor, which, in hindsight, should have been a clear sign of the disaster ahead. It took an excruciating 20 minutes before someone even acknowledged us, and when they finally did, the service was appalling. The utensils were carelessly tossed onto the table, and we were left to set it up ourselves. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning... Our food took over an hour to arrive, without any explanation or apology for the delay. To make matters worse, the rice was stone cold. When we raised this issue with the manager, instead of apologizing, he questioned our complaint and, shockingly, stuck his thumb into my rice before reheating it in the microwave. It was an unbelievably disrespectful and unsanitary act. Completely disgusted, we chose to leave without touching our meals. This was a horrendous experience that I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I want to warn anyone considering stepping foot in this restaurant: RUN AWAY WHILE YOU STILL CAN ! From the moment we arrived, there was a nauseating smell inside, which should have been a warning of what was to come. We had to wait 20 minutes before anyone bothered to take our order, and the service was unbelievably incompetent: the cutlery was literally thrown in the middle of the table, and we had to place it ourselves! But that’s nothing compared to what followed... The food took over an hour to arrive, with no prior notice or apology for the wait. And to top it all off, the rice was COLD. When we pointed this out to the manager, not only did he not apologize, but he had the audacity to question our word. He even went so far as to STICK HIS THUMB into my rice before putting it in the microwave to reheat it. A completely disrespectful and unacceptable gesture! Faced with such contempt, we decided to leave without eating anything. An absolutely revolting experience that I wouldn’t wish on anyone!

The owner made a lot of mistakes (coconut in a dish not mentioned on the menu), he told us we were lying when we said there wasn't any. We paid in full and he came to our house 3 hours later to claim €80 which we had given to him in person. An attempted scam with insulting remarks when he left our home.

Terrible food and service. Arrived and ordered the veg biryani. Flies everywhere. Waiter seemed OK at first, welcoming. When ordering I explained only I was eating. Waiter took menus and pulled a face. Then returned to say as only one of us have ordered can we move to a smaller table. Which is understandable but they were not even busy (out of season). Biryani arrived with some watery sauce. Rice not good, spices just thrown on top. Biryani should be slow cooked, this was not. The sauce was just terrible. Was so hungry, ate alittle, quickly paid and left. Good indian food does not exist here. Don't go here!

Dry chicken, waiter told me they cook in 8kg batches, mine crumbled in my fingers, onion bhaja was dry over floured mess , totally was of money , I paid for drinks & A small sum of 30 euros because the waiter brought out the cook who started shouting at me then the wife who did the same, so all 3 were having a go at me. Food was bland and onion Bhaji’s were dry. Butter chicken curry was not saucy at all. Papadums come out burnt around the middle. A real disappointment as it smelt incredible from the outside when walking by the previous night and had seen many good reviews.

After reading some of the reviews my wife and I were looking forward to a nice curry, to say we were disappointed was an understatement! The starters looked quite apertising but we're bland. Even though the mains were two completely different dishes they looked the alike and almost tasted the same. The owner needs to hire a new chef or at least get the current one a new recipe for his base sauce.

The restaurant smells really good when you walk past but that’s the only positive thing I can say. The mixed starters were bland and overcooked. It took 90mins for the main courses to come out and when they did the balti was incredibly salty to the point where it was inedible. Very disappointing

Probably turned up at the end of the tourist season when everyone is tired and can't be bothered to offer good food and good service. I chose the lamb jalfezi for main course which was the worst I've had,I asked if it was possible to tikka the lamb.The reply was its tender lamb.I found three dice size chunks of lamb in the whole dish which had been boiled for ages to tenderize it.My wife ordered a chicken dupiaza which she only ate half of and I tried it and understood why she left it. There was one waiter working and it looked like he was also working the bar ,he was obviously embarrassed with what he was turning out cause not once did I hear him ask anyone if everything was okay. We paid the bill and left.

Waited one hour for food and the restaurant was not even busy when we entered! Food was ok nothing great, quite pricey too!

Un servicio pésimo y la comida corriente.

WORST INDIAN RESTAURANT EVER! Arrivée vers 19h30 (assez tôt pour l'heure du repas sur l'île), il y a une table de 6 personnes et une table de 2 avant nous (table de 2) La serveuse arrive à peine nous étions installées sans avoir le temps de choisir, revient 5 min après : on choisit un cocktail au citron+gin et un verre de sangria blanche. Nous parlons correctement anglais et pour autant nous avons eu beaucoup de mal à nous faire comprendre (la serveuse reconnaît que la musique était trop forte mais n'a rien fait pour que ça change). Le restaurant se remplit peu à peu, toutes les tables reçoivent des naans de bienvenue (secs à tremper dans des sauces) qu'on n'a jamais reçu, la serveuse est venue nous enlever les assiettes sur la table alors que nous ne l'avions du coup pas utilisée. Nos cocktails commandés une bonne demie heure auparavant arrivent: aucun des 2 ne correspond à la description sur la carte (bien qu'il n'y a le choix qu'entre du vin, de la sangria et 2 cocktails). L'attente se fait ressentir alors que les tables arrivées après nous sont servies bien avant nous : 45 min pour que nos plats accompagnés de naans au fromage arrivent (naans sans intérêt au passage, où est le fromage?). Et où est le riz? La serveuse nous indique qu'il fallait commander en même temps que le plat, pour avoir fait un bon nombre de restaurants indiens c'est la première fois que ça m'arrive. On commande donc du riz qui n'a pas mis plus de 5 min à arriver (mais 5 min quand même). Ceci étant dit les plats étaient très bons : Balti crevettes et Balti poulet. Toutefois le repas ne méritait pour une note à plus de 54.20€ (que la serveuse n'a pas réussi à diviser en 2 nous faisant presque payer 5€ de plus chacune si on n'avait pas calculé en avance de peur de se faire avoir pour finir en beauté. On sait qu'on ne retournera jamais dans ce restaurant mais pour avoir gâché ma fin de journée je préférai prévenir ceux qui seraient partagés par ce restaurant et n'importe quel autre restaurant de la rue.

Wow. This is the most average Indian restaurant I've been to in a while. Staff are pleasant, prices are reasonable however the food is old fashioned British Indian that even in the UK is hard to find now. Menu is too large and although we ordered 5 different curries all of them apart from the colour and the spice levels were exactly the same. Just meat cooked and put into a sauce. As it's the only Indian in the area and there's lots of British tourists people will try it, but only once. Awful.

Le llamamos y si, era cebolla y no sabía dónde meterse. Fin de la cena y al hospital, nos fastidio la noche. Resumiendo, la comida no estaba mala si te gustan los sabores intensos, aunque he probado restaurantes indios bastante mejores, ese pollo estaba muy seco, pero a nosotros nos salió cara la noche pasándola en el hospital, a pesar de haberlo repetido varias veces!
