Fun to leave the US and find yourself in Italy, with cheerful and ready to serve waiters. We had our Mother's day celebration a day early to fit our out- of-state visiting newlyweds, and one mom. Pictures all over of famous Italians, including a candle lighted nich with votive candles for St. "Francis" Sinatra. Great place to try something new. We got family style 5 servings of each person's entre' and a Caeser salad for 5. A bit disappointed when they ran out of a special Italian beer, but fortunately Sam Adams appeared, in a generous sized tumbler. We're going again soon.
Such an amazing place. Nostalgic for us as we normally go with a big group of friends and family. Had the pleasure of eating here for dinner last week with family in town and the food was very delicious! Server was super nice, funny and attentive
We always have a great time at Buca's. Our food was great and for the amount of people that were there the food came to us quickly, so great job to the kitchen staff. Our waitress Kiley was awesome she never forgot about us and made sure we got everything we needed. If you do go here prepare to eat they serve up alot of food.
We went after Valentines Day so it wasn't crowded at all. The server was so nice. Prompt service, of course delicious food. They still had the fresh bread with vinegar and oil. We had Cheese Ravioli with meat sauce, Large Pepperoni Pizza and to my surprise they had chicken wings. Back in the day it would only be traditional Italian food no substitute on anything. I didn't know Chicken Wings came from Italy. However, they were delicious! My 21 daughter loved them! I think it was a brilliant add to the menu for children and adults its a win win all the way around. We only took partial pictures of the food, my apologies bc when it came out it was so delicious looking we attack it!! We couldn't help ourselves to this delicious Italian Food. Truth be told I been craving their Pizza since the start of Covid and haven't been out so this was a treat!!! The Ravioli are always a favorite. Their thin crust pizza with the gooey cheese and the large circle pepperoni they put on top!! I am getting hungry all over again! Families when you get a chance go out and enjoy!!
Went for lunch and it was absolutely lovely. Delicious cocktails and the food came out promptly. The manicotti was probably the best I've ever had. If you have pizza, make sure you ask for the pizza oil, it is such a nice pairing. We finished off lunch with the Italian cream cake. Just an amazing meal.
Got take-out from here recently. The food was delicious and packaged well so it was easy to carry and stayed fresh on the drive home. The servings are large and designed for sharing. You can also get some truly incredible deals if you sign up for their email list!
You smell the food from outside!! Great for birthday celebrations!! They give you huge candles, desert, serenade, signs, wall name recognition, pictures, and a family atmosphere. The portions are huge! And the design setting is fun. My 30 year old sister loved it as she loves Italian food! Great birthday dinner!
The meatball is as good as they say. The lasagna was one of the best ones I've ever had. In my opinion, I didn't like the garlic bread and salad much. But those are just side dishes. The real food was great. The service was amazing as well. She made me different kinds of beverages. I will surely come back here again.

It is a nice restaurant, located on Foothill Boulevard in Claremont. I have been here several times. The meals were always delicious. Furthermore, they were timely prepare. They have a good selection of wines. At the same time, the bartenders were preparing cocktails really well. Of course, prices were on the expensive side. Nevertheless, those prices were worth it. Since food was delicious, and cocktails were well-prepared. Definitely, if anyone is in Claremont, I would recommend a visit to this restaurant!
Went late Sunday night. Seated quickly. The food was delicious! Although, I do feel the spaghetti and meatballs could have used some salt, the flavor is great and classic but a touch bland. Meatballs were insanely good. For dessert we had a chocolate cake that was rich, creamy, and dreamy. Love this place. The ambience is fun, and family friendly.
Absolutely amazing experience at Buca Di Beppo! From the moment I walked in, I felt the warm and welcoming vibe that makes this place so special. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely made me feel like a valued guest. Now let’s talk about the food—wow! The presentation was absolutely beautiful, with every dish arriving like a masterpiece. I ordered the Monday Spaghetti and Meatball Special, and it was simply outstanding. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauce was rich and flavorful, and the meatballs? Easily some of the best I’ve ever had—juicy, tender, and packed with mouthwatering flavor. It’s hard to beat the value, especially with that Monday special. Generous portions, top-notch quality, and an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just treating yourself to a delicious lunch, Buca Di Beppo is an experience you won’t forget. I’ll definitely be back soon!
My wife and I shared a small lasagna and our son had a child’s spaghetti that came with 1/2 meatball. We ordered an extra whole meatball. My wife had a Sparkling lemon drop martini, I had ice tea and our son had Sierra Mist. The dinners come small that serve 3 or large that serve 5. We all enjoyed our entrees. There are pictures throughout the lobby and restaurant and a lot were religious. It was our first time at this location. The staff was friendly and attentive.
Made a reservation on open table; arrived 5 minutes early and my party was immediately sat. I was uncomfortable with the our original booth, waitress was kind enough to seat my party elsewhere, and we were much more comfortable. Their Shirley Temple mock tails were made with grenadine, and not some random cherry concentrated syrup. There was an issue with one of our dishes; brought up the concern to the waitress, who then had the manager speak with me. The manager was able to remedy the situation. Rectified food was delicious, we left satiated. I will return. I recommend the chicken parmigiana and the stuffed shells.
Amazing food and people. Shout out to Daniel! He is a very cool person, very fast service and he made all of us have a good time!
I don't normally give reviews unless there is something outstanding that leaves me super impressed. My cousins and I (big family, there's a lot of us:) get together for the holidays every year. This was our first time going to Buca in Claremont. My cousin had made the reservation for 7:30pm but we weren't seated until about an hour later. We were actually going to put in a major complaint and this would have not been a five star review but thanks to our excellent server Amanda we ended up having such a wonderful night. Amanda almost made us forget about the unorganized, overbooked waiting and was so awesome that we would definitely go back because of her! Amanda was great with her recommendations with our picky eaters, she was very attentive, quick and helpful. She kept up with all of us very well. I must also mention the lovely, great photographer, forgot her name but she was talented and took great pictures so we ended up buying more than one. She was awesome too! We were celebrating two birthdays (one of which was mine ;-) and thanks to both especially Amanda's amazing service, it really made up for the wait. Thank you Amanda and Buca team for making our night a wonderful happy one!
This place is delicious. It's a little pricey but the amount of food they give you makes it worth it. 1 plate is shareable with 3 people so the math adds up. The lasagna is the best ive ever had and my 2 year old son would agree 👍Go head and try this place if you have been thinking about it because you will not regret it. Just make sure you come with some money to spend because everything is so good your not just going to want one plate lol. Thanks again to the whole staff for making our visit welcoming and pleasant. Keep up the great work everyone 👍
Great Italian restaurant 😋 Lasagna is amazing 👏 🤩 GREAT FAMILY RESTAURANT Buca di Beppo in Claremont, California is a fantastic place for great food and a fun dining experience. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is lively, welcoming, and full of character. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home, whether you’re dining with family, friends, or a large group. The food is consistently delicious and served in generous portions that are perfect for sharing. Everything comes out fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared, from the classic pasta dishes to the appetizers and desserts. Service is timely, and the team does a great job making sure everyone at the table is taken care of without feeling rushed. What really makes this location stand out is the combination of great customer service, a fun environment, and reliable quality. It’s a perfect spot for celebrations, group dinners, or just a casual night out. Buca di Beppo in Claremont never disappoints, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for hearty Italian food and a great overall dining experience.
Did online order for gf meal to pick up. They gave me non gf stuff and I called to let the know when I got home. They decided to give me my gf meal and a free side AND deliver it themselves. So nice
Image if you will, old school Italians along with lots of grandchildren tables lined up everyone sitting across from each other, were gathered for the celebration of life for my bonus dad. My bonus mom sitting at the head. 4 servers for 80+ all in one room. We're not morning we're celebrating. Knowing ahead of time the amount. From the beginning not everything came together small stuff butter not available when the bread was served, also missing olive oil, along with the balsamic. 1st world problems right. They took care of in a hot minute. They were immensely gracious, the food authentic. We were blessed beyond measure with their patience kindness and generosity in such a time of loss we were experiencing.
Amazing food, grate experience and the staff was super friendly, overall was a 10/10 they made my daughter's birthday memorable, thank you so much.
I placed a to-go order online to take my kids for a picnic down the street. I did ask for plates in my order. When I arrived to pick up my order I asked for cups and after I told her about the picnic she made sure all of items were there such as plates, napkins, serving utensils and so on. She was super sweet. Kudos to her for being kind in today’s world! The food was great!

Ho ho ho! Happy holidays :). First time here and we all liked our visit. It was a full house as waiter mentioned reason why our food was longer waits. We thought the wait time was reasonable. Our waiter Sam made great recommendations and his service was on point. The portions are big and leave plenty for leftovers. We had sides for starters with the Brussels sprouts & prosciutto 10/10 & mozzarella garlic bread 10/10. For main dishes we had the eggplant parmigiana 10/10, prosciutto stuff chicken 7/10 & chicken carbonara 8/10. For drinks we had cucumbersome 10/10, Roman tiki 10/10, rum punch bowl 9/10, Pom blossom martini 6/10. We chose tiramisu for dessert 6/10. Overall we had a nice evening and a great time. They also had a photographer on site with a complimentary picture , how cool ! See you next time!!!
The first time here and service was on point, my family brought us here to celebrate two birthdays, and it was totally worth it. Food was memorable, delicious, and satisfying. Food was like family. Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan, and pizza were my favorites, and the stuffed mushrooms are a must. My family will be back. There is so much more to try...
I had the pleasure of dining at Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant on Valentine's Day, and it was an unforgettable experience. Wanting to make the evening special for my better half, I opted for the unique option of reserving the kitchen's table, via a call. This special seat inside the kitchen offered us an up-close view of the chefs at work, adding an exclusive touch to our evening. The culinary journey started with an appetizer of calamari, which was nothing short of extraordinary. Each bite was a dive into taste bud heaven, setting a high standard for the meal to follow. The main course, lasagna, was simply out of this world. It was evident that great care had been taken in its preparation, with flavors that transported us straight to Italy. The kitchen table not only provided a unique dining experience but also served as the perfect backdrop for memorable photos, adding to the many highlights of our evening. The overall ambiance and service were superb, giving us that VIP feeling with attentive waitstaff and a prime location for those Instagram-worthy moments. While the Chicken Parmigiana was average, it didn't detract from the overall excellence of the meal. In hindsight, booking through OpenTable for one of the cozy interior tables might offer a quieter atmosphere, as the hustle and bustle of the kitchen, along with the staff's constant motion, were quite prominent. However, this did little to diminish the night's enjoyment. Our dining experience at Buca di Beppo was truly remarkable, blending impeccable service with authentic, flavorful Italian cuisine. The restaurant's atmosphere is inviting and warm, perfect for any occasion that calls for a touch of special. Next time, we plan to sit inside to enjoy the cozy ambiance, but one thing is for sure: we will definitely be returning for the high-quality, deliciously authentic Italian fare that left us thoroughly impressed.
We had the pleasure of being served by Sunday, and she was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we sat down, her positive vibe and enthusiasm were infectious. Not only is she incredibly friendly, but she also had us laughing throughout the meal. As first-timers, we weren’t sure what to order, but Sunday was super helpful in recommending delicious options. Everything we tried was a solid 10/10—flavorful and generously portioned. Our dining experience was excellent, and it’s largely thanks to Sunday and the quality of the food. She turned what was already a great night into a perfect one. We will definitely be coming back, and we have Sunday to thank for that!
The food and service was amazing! We got the World Famous Meatballs as an appetizer, Stuffed Shells and Prosciutto Stuffed Chicken, and a bottle of Moscato. The small portions are generous, you'll have leftovers. Can't wait for our next Italian date night. Definitely going back. Should have taken a pic before we ate but this was our leftovers.
We went there on Saturday night for a retirement party. There were 18 of us. They were bringing the food on big platters and we would dig in. I found out later that even though it was a lot of food, it was less expensive than I thought. The ambiance is amazing. There are hundreds of great pictures on the walls. There are rooms and alcoves and archways everywhere. We had a great time. It was crowded and a bit noisy, but that's because people love to go there and party.

We came yesterday to celebrate my boyfriends birthday with family and we had such a great time! We've been coming to this Buca location since the early 2000's and we've celebrated many an occasion …
My boyfriend and I went here for our date night tonight and while it started out a little rough, (we were told an hour wait and that we would get a text when our table was ready and so after that hour wait I checked with the front and asked if they knew how much longer it would be and she said she already called our name. I told her we didn’t get a text and she apologized and got us seated right then but not the greatest first impression), the food and wait staff were amazing however. We tried the bruschetta and the fettuccine supremo. The fresh bread with olive o and vinegar was delicious as well. All in all, we would come back and wish I could give 4.5 instead of 4.
Visited as a group of 2 so shared one dish which we had plenty to take home. Service was great and we didn't have to wait long at all for the food which was delicious. So many nooks and crannies to seat groups for more privacy but we were sat next to a group of loud people who did not use the best language, so any of the many other open tables would have been better.
In my opinion Buca is the best Italian place when it comes to chain restaurants. The servings are big, 3-4 people can eat from one dish. Really good food. I like to get the green Apple salad as long with the cheese bread. On this occasion we got the spaghetti and meatballs, it was ok this time. But the stuffed ravioli made up for it. The reason for the 4 stars is the parking situation and wait time. I waited 2 hours to he seated. Maybe it was an unusual busy Friday night, but oh my, what a wait. Vut never the less, the staff was very apologetic about the wait time. And we ended up having a good time.
Went here twice and yesterday was the 2nd time in this location. First of all, the wait time is ok not bad, make a reservation and you'll be seated almost on time. 2nd - Our waiters for 1st and 2nd time visits are both (person in charge of our table) nice and enthusiastic. 3rd - Food are yummy, I love the calamari, it was spicy. The spicy chicken rigatoni (if I am saying it right) and that huge shell with stuffing in it, omg that was delicious 😋 😋 😋 yummmm yummmmm..... 4th- The large servings are literary huge, will be enough for atleast 5 people. Now, what made it 4 stars? Yesterday when we asked for straws, the othwr person handed us unwrapped straw, not wrapped and the person looks like he just finished cleaning something. So we discarded that straw and asked again. The other person have another unwrapped straw in his shirt pocket which we didn't get even bother... Btw, we needed atleast 4 straws which our original waiter gave us when he got back. We just laugh it off and made jokes of where could those straws came from and what was the person doing... 😂😂😂 We will still go back to this place, the straws will not stop us... 😊
Twas a Buca di Beppo Christmas. We had a table of 5 and feasted. The food was delicious and served quickly. The spicy shrimp in the trio appetizer had a kick to it. We ordered a few dishes to share, family style. The eggplant parmigiana was delicious. Highly recommend. This is a pretty large restaurant, but it is kind of a maze to navigate. It somewhat gives it charm. Don’t forget to look up what Buca di Beppo means.
Been going to Buca for years. The food is great but a little pricey. It's always been this way so no complaints there. However, I have felt service has steadily declined over the years. Staff is sometimes unattentive and forget basic things (asking if we need utensils, etc). I hope they can turn it around.
I went with a group of 5 adults and none of us really knew about this restaurant other than it's Italian. We found that Buca served a single dish that feeds 2-3 people, or a BIG dish that served 5. If you order Fettuccine Alfredo that is all you get. Order bread, then it's only bread, and so forth. You have to order everything separately, so come prepared. We
Sam was great, good environment. The calamari appetizer is a bit too oily, but the carbonara pasta was amazing. I will return to try more dishes.
Our family went to celebrate our anniversary, we made reservations and picked a slow day. We were seated pretty promptly and it took a little bit before our server came. I believe our server was new, we had to ask for things multiple times and were brought wrong items 3 times. The kids loved their meals. The bread was brought to the table with a little plate that we later learned was for some type of oil and dressing that had forgotten. The calamari was definitely freezer burned, too chewy, and the one single slice of lemon that was provided was dry. We did not want to complain because we assumed our server was new. She comped one of the meals at the end of the evening. We will go again, but probably not on a slow night. I always loved this place as a child and being able to bring my own children was exciting.
I really liked my experience here, the atmosphere felt authentic and services was of top tier! The only thing I would say, It’s easy to spend more than intended. Servings are good portions(no need for large). I was not to satisfied with my “Broccoli Chicken” plate, but I did like my friends lasagna. I have been to a similar place like this in San Diego that was cheaper, that’s only why I can’t give this location a 5 star.
Visited recently with some friends still the same cool vibe in a friendly atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious with large portions, when they say large they mean it. Everything however was full of flavor and fresh tasting. The only thing was the service could of been better considering they weren't to crowded.

The everything was amazing!! The only negative is, I would have thought when you're paying those prices the entree would have come with some pasta.

We had a reservation but still waited 20 minutes to be seated. Drinks took 10 minutes, alcohol another 5 minutes. The food was prompt, though we had a large group. The caprese was meh, missing balsamic. The garlic bread was eh, though they use real butter. The fettuccine was good, the ravioli was okay. My martini had enough liquor in it but the Pepsi had too much syrup.
The incredibly friendly service notwithstanding, the food here is just okay, in my opinion. Especially, at the extreme prices they charge. The "warm" bread was lukewarm, served with solidly cold butter. If someone invited me back here, on their dime, I guess I'd return. But of my own volition...? Nah. I'm good. I really did enjoy the tour.
The food was very good. Pricey but good portions! Our waitress was very sweet. Had a good experience overall aside from the blonde host in the front having a bad attitude like she didn’t want to work here. It made our party feel uncomfortable. Everyone and everything else was very pleasant aside from her, maybe she was having a bad day but you shouldn’t take it out on new coming customers… you’re the first interaction when entering this NICE restaurant..
Buca di Beppo is an Italian restaurant on 505 W Foothill Blvd in Claremont. It’s a chain serving family-style Italian fare in a kitschy setting featuring red and white tablecloths. We visited this place on July 19, 2018, to eat dinner. The ambiance of this place was calm and quiet. It’s a nicely decorated and family-friendly restaurant. We ordered MOZZARELLA GARLIC BREAD and BAKED ZITI. The food was average and the price was okay. The customer service was appreciable.
I was under the impression it was a bit more upscale than it was. The food portions are overwhelming which is good but the flavor just wasn't there. The kids menu portions are massive. Maybe I chose the wrong dishes. frutti de mare was fishy and the sea food inside was rubbery. The chicken riggi seemed to be in a vodka sauce but the flavor wasn't there and the chicken was dry. The brownie sundae was the best part. Blowing out candles for your bday on a candelabra is fun and unique. The atmosphere was very relaxed. The waitress was great. Over all not worth the $200 I spent for 4 people.
Spaghetti and pizza were meh, lasagna was a yeah! Pretty pricey if you’re party is less than 4 but if you got a big party then it’s pretty ok per person and a good experience. The large sized entrees serve more than enough for 5 people but this isn’t a place I’d come back to again because of the price and the lack of tasty af food choices. Staff were fantastic tho!! Just wanna stress that this place is not terrible but the food taste didn’t align with price for me.
Would had been a 4 was hoping for a great evening and server was a bit rushed with our group . When I ordered a soft drink she brings 2 -32 Oz cups full and says so she won't have to come and bring me a refill ?by time I'm done with 1st drink 2nd is watered down due to ice melting. Not sure if this is company practices but with small and narrow tables for a big group it rakes up space with everyone having 2 large drinks on table. Plus food etc. Needless we still tipped her and Food was great from Pasta to pasta . Lasagna and rest of meal was flavorful and delicious one part kinda pulled down rest sadly . Overall would return again in Hopes of a better dining experience. Hosted were friendly and helpful, food Great. .
Went to Buca for a late lunch on today. We ordered a few dishes, prepared to take home some leftovers with the family style servings. Ordered lasagna, seasonal offering of pappardelle bolognese, and the Buca bundle which included Mozzarella garlic bread, garden salad, and fettuccine alfredo. Classics were as expected in terms of flavor but the fettuccine alfredo was a little cold like it may have been sitting for a while. The pappardelle noodles were dry and sticky and the sauce seemed to be missing tomatoes and was light on the parmesan and parsley garnishes. You can see in the picture from the menu the sauce is red and the noodles are well coated. While this dish had good flavor it tasted more like beef pot roast than a beef bolognese ragu. Server was attentive and friendly.
We celebrated my friend's retirement here during the intermezzo hours of 3 to 4 pm. We walked in and no one was there to greet us for a few minutes. The restaurant was empty. There was one other party. Not very festive. I had not visited this spot in about four years. So, I was wary of that. PROS: Friendly service from Red. She did an adequate job. Plates and silverware took a moment to get to us. Refills were infrequent, but present. Garlic cheese bread came out crispy and cheesy, but not very garlicky. The house bread arrived soft and warm with a decent quality olive oil. They dressed the gorgonzola and apple salad evenly, but needed more cheese. The world famous meatballs came out juicy, large, and pretty tasty. The marina sauce that accompanied it was good for dipping the garlic cheese bread. The spaghetti and meat possessed a rich and hearty flavor. The chicken cannoloni pasta seemed too firm and flavorless. The stuffed chicken with proscuitto won for best taste of the entrees. The crispy breaded breasts with salty proscuitto and mozzarella cheese with pesto sauce combined for a mouth watering flavor. Red made sure our cheesecake had the extra toasted hazelnuts which ended the meal nicely. CONS: The ambiance with so few diners really surprised me and brought down the celebratory and festive atmosphere. The guy taking pictures and selling them to our table did not add anything and maybe hindered our vibe. Maybe, offer to take our pic with our own phones first or second. The price seemed to not be there for the value. Which lowers it down a star for me.I get more food in the family style for less money at Maggiano's which is where we will continue celebrating our special meals in an Italian setting

Easy to use takeout service. But the food is just average. I think they changed their off the menu mac and cheese
We havent been there for many years and this visit was a big disappointment. I remembered it used to be packed all the time. But yesterday we were there and it was only 40%occupied. Food was barely ok. Broccoli was cold and the portion of chiken limone was so tiny. The complimentary birthday ice-cream was so melted. It was so overpriced! Service was a B-. And now we understand why it is not busy anymore.
This is NOT italian food. I used to come here as a kid and it used to taste good. but it’s an abomination to consider it real italian.
We did not end up staying to eat. We went about 2 which was not busy at all. We had to wait 20 minutes. The place had a B and was very dusty. For the price of the food, I do not recommend.
It wasnt my idea to go there, and if I was paying, I wouldn't have stayed. The food is nothing special, and at $50 per large plate for many items, it is larceny. The server was cool, but unfortunately for her, the kitchen didnt include the noodles that go with one of the items we ordered, so we waited in an effort to experience the dish as intended, but that was a mistake. The server and all else being aware of the matter, no noodles made it to us for a good 10 to 15, maybe even 20minutes
Ok so this is my first time that I've been to this since my bf has been saying that this is the best and the food is HUGE. We get there around 9:15 pm, thinking we had enough time to dine-in since the WEBSITE said until 10PM. We go inside and try to ask for a table. They aren't serving anymore tables so they're closing around 9:30. So I decided ok fine I'll do a to-go order. 10 mins go by and we're ready to order. I wanted a white sangria with wings and lasagna. Then I was told that there was no alcohol being served. Understandable so I decided that I would like something sweet to drink like a raspberry ice tea. They didn't have that option either 🙃 I asked do you at least have lemonade? The lady said yes but we would have to do a KIDS CUP. I understand you guys are closing but seriously?! I order my food and I go outside cuz at this point I was just annoyed. My bf ordered meatballs and chicken prosciutto. We wait for our food and we get it in a timely manner. Then the lady said that they only had two meatballs left and she gave us a cake to make up for it 🙃 we thank her and left. Idk who did the placing of our food bc once we starting, I felt something wet on my leg. I didn't realize but my lasagna was dripping and there were no napkins 🙃🙃 At least the lady was nice and patient with us. Food was so-so.
We ordered fettuccine with mariners and it came with regular sauce. My fettuccini was cold. Bread was barely warm. Waitress seemed to disappear.
The price for the simple foods they offered was exorbitant. It's just pasta and salad. We also did not like that the dishes had to be shared. Why not offer single servings? I will not be going there again.
Buca di Beppo @ Claremont...... Just want to start saying thank you to server Charles who completed disregarded my sons request multiple times that it is his Birthday. Please don't ever do that to a child. The server next to us got her team to sing to a grown up man in the next table to us. I take a long 1hr drive to come out to you. NOT COOL. Brought up the concern to the manager on duty and its just disappointing to see how my sons feelings were so disregarded and ignored by server Charles. Some empathy/ sympathy classes?
We had delivery for Thanksgiving at out offices since we work. The pasta-vodka was sub par, skimpy sauce. Cesar salad just topped with some croutons and wilted romaine. 2 large bowls and one dressing. Cheese 🤔 The spaghetti too just meh nothing special. Catering just isn't their thing. Maybe in person they are still good but last few catets have been very disappointing. BTW enough plastic silverware for the next 3 months. Bread where's the butter? Grateful for food though just not what I expect from Bucca.
It's had been 2 years since we came here to celebrate and enjoy a meal with family and it was very disappointing there is only a small size pizza but prices are not small and the food was not cooked right, burned and tasted bad. Not coming back:(
Gave it another try. It's been quite some time since our last visit. We had the ceasar salad, apple gorgonzola salad. Everyone said they were ok, nothing special. Penne alla Vodka hit the spot for some with a slight spiciness. Did not see the creamy sauce like the description indicates. The Fettuccine Alfredo was a miss once again. Lumpy sauce and was not smooth & creamy. Lacking in the spice department. Saw a lot of salt and pepper shakers being used. The same thing happened with the spaghetti with meat sauce, no frills. The chicken parmigiana was not a hit. The filets were pretty thin, and the breaded batter did not get seasoned well. They have decor hanging everywhere. On all the walls and even on the ceiling. The parking lot is on the smaller side. With a few handicap spots by the entrance. With some designated places for curbside pickup.
Food was mediocre. We ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the chicken wasn't seasoned at all. Garlic bread was to hard to eat. Italian loaf was also not edible. Service was good. Our server did check up on us and was very helpful. Can't speak for the other dishes but we will not be back to find out. Thank you for the great service Bucca
I usually don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. Unfortunately, my visit here was disappointing. The prices felt extremely high — over $80 for a chicken Alfredo and a small pizza during a late lunch. The portion size of the pizza was quite small, and while the Alfredo had plenty of sauce, it was so overwhelming that it made the dish difficult to enjoy. The complimentary bread was served without anything to accompany it. When I asked for butter or another option, I was told they didn’t have any. While I understand that, it did make the bread a bit dry and unappealing. Service also left much to be desired. While the hostess was warm and gave us a great first impression, the service at the table felt dismissive. Simple requests such as straws, napkins, or condiments seemed like an inconvenience to our waitress, despite the restaurant not being busy at the time. Overall, I left feeling that the quality, portion sizes, and service did not match the price point. I truly wish the experience had been better, as I had high hopes walking in.

I will never come back to this location! Went with a party of 8 and they have a limit of 6 per table now. The place was absolutely empty and yet the couldn't accommodate our request to sit us together so we had to sit and eat separately. The outside dinning area is in the back where they take all their deliveries and where the trash is so its full of flies and extra noisy. The food was just bland and no flavor and got cold super fast cause we're sitting outside. This place needs to shape up or else I'm pretty sure this location won't be opened for much longer. I would not recommend this location at all!
Specific Cons: - This "Italian" restaurant ran out of lasagna before it even hit 3 PM 😭 - Overcooked, hard noodles - Oversweetened bread - Salad was 50% hard end bits - Men's bathroom stall doesn't align to close so the door stays open - Waited 10 minutes at the front desk for an employee General Con: - Food is severely overpriced - Food must be purchased in serving sizes of 3 or 5. Everyone doesn't agree on what they want to eat. This compounds with the price to rob you to give you more food than you want and the food is frankly awful as per my entire party of 10 Pros: - The singular good thing I can say is the mozzarella sticks were great (despite being like 6x the $ as they should be) - I guess some people might like the atmosphere too because it's so unique. But unique does not equal tasteful in my opinion and I thought it was sloppy. - Waiter did everything a waiter is expected to do in reasonable time. Not a compliment but not a con either and I'm grasping for straws here.
It took over an hour to be served....I get that its a Sunday; I've been here a couple of times and every time its very lackluster, there's a lot more to be desired. We shared the chicken parmesan and fettuccine alfredo. Both were served COLD...our whole parties food was actually cold. The chicken parmesan was decent (a little too bland) just not too appetizing cold. The fettuccine alfredo was absolutely disgusting cold. The next time our family is considering Italian we might as well go to Olive Garden. We must be going on the wrong day looking at all the good previous reviews. Hopefully management takes a look at this review. I wanted to like this place again. Twenty years ago it was one of our favorite places to go, not anymore.
I had purchased the chicken limone that should serve 3 and chicken parmigiana for 5. I was so disappointed. In the past I had dined in and taken out with Bucca Di Peppo and I’ve never experienced such skimpy portioned dinners, which I why I picked Bucca Di Peppo. We ordered take out for a birthday celebration for my daughter and ended up having to throw together something else because how ripped off I was. I paid about 90 dollars for the meal, and was not happy with this experience. That’s the last time I’ll be taking out with Bucca Di Peppo.
Tired old restaurant. Lasagne no better than lasagne from the frozen food aísle of the supermarket. Bruschetta was not bruschetta (a version/inspiration of), and doesn’t help when tomatoes have no flavor. The pizza looked limp and nasty. There must be better “Italian” restaurants around.
We waited 45 minutes to get drinks and our whole dinner took 2 hours on a Wednesday night. They were not busy, but blamed their service on it being busy. The table across from us were seated, got drinks, bread, appetizers and food before our food came out of the kitchen. The manager didn’t apologize or even acknowledge this was happening.
they either gave us the incorrect take out order or the portion differs a lot versus dine in. We ordered about 80 dollar worth of pappardelle bolognese and chicken Marsala. There’s 3 pieces of small chicken, and the pasta came in a small container not fully filled. Barely feeds 2. Still hungry after. Tried calling but already closed. Not worth.
Formal Complaint Regarding Inappropriate Photographer Behavior I am writing to formally complain about a deeply uncomfortable and unacceptable experience my family and I had at your restaurant. During our visit, the in-house photographer made extremely inappropriate comments toward my two sisters. He stated that he wanted to take a picture of them and “hang it above his bed at night.” This comment was disturbing, unprofessional, and completely crossed any reasonable boundary. My sisters were made to feel uncomfortable and unsafe, and the rest of our group was shocked that such behavior would be tolerated in a family restaurant. To help identify the individual, the photographer had long hair and spoke with an Italian accent. Regardless of who he is, this type of behavior should never occur in any customer-facing role. A restaurant environment should feel welcoming and respectful, not predatory or unsettling. This incident significantly ruined what was supposed to be an enjoyable dining experience. I am extremely disappointed that no safeguards seemed to be in place to prevent or address this kind of conduct. I expect this matter to be taken seriously, investigated thoroughly, and addressed appropriately to ensure no other guests are subjected to similar treatment. I would appreciate a response explaining what actions will be taken regarding this situation. Sincerely, Albert Ramirez

Claremont's Buca di Beppo: Italian Comfort with Stellar Service
When you're seeking that comforting hug of authentic Italian food right here in Claremont, Buca di Beppo truly stands out. It's become a reliable spot for many, myself included, largely because they consistently deliver on both flavor and an experience that feels genuinely welcoming. The food, of course, is a major draw. Think generous portions of classic Italian dishes, prepared with that satisfying homemade feel. I’ve heard fantastic things about their eggplant parmesan – a staple done just...
Claremont's Buca di Beppo: Big Bites, Warm Service, and a Health Grade Note
Ah, Buca di Beppo in Claremont. It’s a name that conjures images of massive, family-style Italian platters, red-and-white checkered tablecloths, and a bustling atmosphere perfect for celebrations. For many locals, it’s a familiar spot, and recent visits paint a picture of hearty meals and dedicated service, albeit with a couple of points worth noting for the discerning diner. When you walk in, you’re often greeted by a lively environment, and it seems the staff here genuinely aim to make your
