Surfside Taphouse

Me and my sister stopped here to grab dinner on a Wednesday night, the music lured us in. The performer that night was so good, he would make noises then set them on his recording device to play while he then played guitar and sang to his own beat, very talented guy! We both got two different tacos and tried one of each, I got the steak and she got pulled pork, they were decent. I tried their seafood chowder which was really good! also got a Pineapple Mojito which was shockingly amazing!

Surfside has an enormous selection of draft beers. Moreover, these are all mostly world-famous beers that you are looking for. Aaaaand they have happy hour drafts too! Greatly appreciate the dude who was live singing that night, you can easily tell he is one of these guys who love what they do! He setup some really good mood! Service was great, our server Deanna (hopefully, it's correct, that what check reads, because I forgot) was super nice; although she said kitchen was in appetizer-only mode, later on she managed to make us a flatbread. Refills were also on time. Food was great, the flatbread was crispy, the tomatoes they used were ripe and flavorful, and the cheese was melted to perfection. Mozarella Sticks appeared to be just MASSIVE. I mean they're HUGE, I'll attach the photo with Iphone X for scale. They were really good too; but I would melt them a little bit more before serving; because of their thickness, cheese somewhat melted, but was still partially firm. The one thing I can't understand is pricing. It's just little weird to me. $11 for these huge Mozarella Sticks is all fine, especially taking their location into consideration. However, about 7" flatbread for $13 ?! This is little odd, and I mean probably won't make much sense for the place to make it $8-9, so maybe you can bring the size to like 10-11" instead... In either way, Surfside was one of few places on the strip open really late and it was a nice place to visit. Thank you guys!

The staff at Surfside were incredible! Our server, Audrey, was incredibly attentive, even in a very large crowd. From the street it has more of a bar atmosphere, but it was actually a great family friendly atmosphere with many families present. We loved being here for trivia - the host was a blast and the music selection was awesome! The manager on duty, RJ was very accommodating - an incredible staff overall!

This place is a cute little gem! Food is spectacular, service is almost better! Derek made it worth wanting to come back again! The drink suggestions were amazing loved everyone! Jeff was a hoot!

We had such an amazing experience at Surfside Taphouse, thanks to our server, Patrick. From the moment we sat down, he was incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Patrick had the perfect balance of professionalism and personality — he checked on us often without ever being intrusive, made great menu recommendations, and kept our drinks full the entire time. You can tell he truly enjoys what he does and cares about his guests. His upbeat attitude added to the fun beach atmosphere, and he made our visit feel special from start to finish. If you’re coming to Clearwater Beach, definitely ask for Patrick — he’s a 10/10 server and made our day that much better!

My husband & I spent our anniversary in clearwater. We arrived late sunday night. We went across the street to Surfside where we met RJ who was putting chairs up outside, we asked him if they were closing he encouraged us to come in even tho they were shutting down. They had a live musician so we sat at the bar where we were served by Sara. She was friendly & nice. We sat there & had a couple of drinks & talked to RJ & Sara while they closed up. Sara made great drinks & our experience with them was so good , my husband & I went back the next night for food. They have alot of specials daily. We had the cheeseburger special the 1st night & that patty was so thick I had to cut it in half. The next time we went we went during the day to see our friends Sara & RJ bc ATP we r now friends! We had unlimited mimosas & appetizers which were good. We truly enjoyed ourselves & Sara & RJ. Yall made our lil getaway great & we wont 4get yall. Next time we r in town we will definitely revisit Surfside Taphouse!!!

Was there early Tuesday afternoon. Bartender was very sweet and personable. She knows her job well! Had two drinks, both were very well made. We did not eat, but the menu looked good. Definitely something for everyone.

Late night eats serving food until midnight, the chicken parm with broccoli and italian bread was so good and they have 3 non alcoholic beers avail which is super convenient. Was quite thankful they were open and will visit them again.

We came in for a birthday dinner and had the best night! The restaurant was so nice and the food was delicious I loved the blackened salmon😋 but what really topped the experience was our server Patrick! He was kind, attentive, quick, and a good time! We left with a full belly and a night full of amazing memories. Thank you Patrick!! We will definitely be returning!

My survive while dining at the Tap room was amazing, Patrick was an amazing waiter, and the food was absolutely delicious. Next trip to Clear water definitely eat there again.

The taphouse burger and the fish chowder are awesome! Great service and the dive atmosphere is perfect! Worth a quick drink and bite to eat. Enjoy!

We came in for brunch and I must say, I am impressed on how delicious the breakfast dishes are and how polite the staff is towards each other. Shot out to our server Boots, she went above and beyond and even my 8 year old noticed how nice she is. Definitely will be coming back on our next trip to Clearwater.

This restaurant/bar is a great place to eat and I would highly recommend coming here! The food is delicious and so are the drinks, including the non-alcoholic drinks and the location is perfect. The waiters here are also extremely friendly and personable. We always come here and I would recommend it to anyone coming down to visit!

The food here was ridiculously good for what we expected and the portions are huge! We got the fish and chips, spaghetti, peel and eat shrimp, and grouper tacos. Unexpectedly as well, the spaghetti had great sauce and was massive, we got 3 meals out of it! Tartar sauce was some of the best I’ve had in a while but I will say the fish seemed a tiny bit underdone, made it perfect for leftovers though when thrown back in the air fryer. Would definitely recommend, one of the better spots on the beach!

We were a party of 4 guys for the Super Bowl. The food was pretty good but the service was out of this world! Lindsay was our server she was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Our food came right out and she never let our beers get empty!! We will all definitely be back!!

We have been coming here for years! We love Surfside taphouse! Every year I come I ask the wait staff if I can buy one of the shirts they wear and they don't sell them!!!! I need one of those shirts someone please tell me where to get one! I love them. The food, entertainment, drinks, and wait staff are all phenomenal!!!

This was a fun little place. Our server, Ellie, was very friendly and very efficient. There were 5 adults and 2 small children and she was so patient with us. We all ordered different things and every thing was really good. We will be back again!

lyndsay- Absolutely amazing service. Our server was attentive without hovering, super friendly, and genuinely made the whole experience better. They knew the menu inside and out, gave great recommendations, and everything came out exactly right and perfectly timed. You can tell they actually care about what they do, which is rare these days. This was one of the best service experiences I’ve had in a long time—I’ll 100% be asking for them again.

A restaurant/bar with a dive bar feel...in a good way. We stopped in three nights in a row. Day 2 we arrived in a large group and Ellie, Lyndsay, and Tim did an amazing job reacting to the large mob of people. The customer count went from 9-10 to 40-50 very quickly and this team handled it all with smiles all around. I was impressed.

Great casual spot with plenty of tvs for sports yet somehow didn’t feel loud. Audrey was our server and she was great - attentive and friendly. I has the wings - they were good. Next time I’ll ask for them to be extra crispy. My husband has the grilled scallops and they were delicious!

Great experience! Right on the Main Street of Clearwater Beach. Lyndsay was our server, she had the best energy and so attentive throughout. We came on Tuesday for game night, got 2 for 1 margaritas, and discount tacos! We we definitely be back! Thanks Lyndsay!!

Lindsay at Surface Tap House in Clearwater was amazing. She was extremely fast, constantly checked on us, and somehow managed to stay on top of everything even during a super busy night. We grabbed her multiple times to order more food and drinks, and she was gave us friendly, attentive service every time. Hands down one of the best service experiences we’ve had

Were asked to choose a table when we arrived. Sat down and waited 15 minutes before a waitress came to our table. She came up and asked what we wanted to order. Seemed annoyed when we said we hadn’t been given menus or anything to even drink yet. After this interaction, things went better and the food was good, but just overall this place was just “okay” and didn’t feel worthwhile compared to many other places along the beachfront.

Decided to try this local bar and grill, was a pretty good restraunt. The server took a bit to get to us as there was a mix-up. They offer a few draft selections and a full bar. Tried a few apps that were good. Decided to try the world famous grouper, it was a pretty solid sandwich. Overall, it's a pretty good local place.

Their "Big Ass Margarita" is definitely big. Enjoyed the atmosphere and staff were great. They were one of the few places that knew what I was asking when I called ahead to see if they would have the Champions League finals on to watch during our visit. Their food was decent but definitely of the bar food variety and saltiness.

Not too busy or crowded when we visited. The decor in this restaurant was as you would expect from a beachside bar & grill. The food was good, not great. There are plenty of different drink options to choose from. There was live music that started just after we arrived. I will tell you, it got pretty loud. Overall, this is a nice spot for a meal and drinks. Just don't expect to have much conversation once the live music starts.

The atmosphere was great. Our party of 6 wanted frozen drinks. Of course they were out of lemonade mix...so that had us changing what we ordered. I had a jalapeño margarita, very yummy. Would of been nice if it was actually frozen ( slushy like) but was halfway melted by time we were served. Be ready...each drink was $15!!! We didn't stay for more!

Food - Started with the chips and salsa. Good, but nothing too exciting. Taco Tuesday so we decided to try some different tacos. Had the San Diego Fish Tacos, Shrimp Tacos, SURFSIDE STEAK TACOS, and Grouper Tacos. I think the shrimp tacos were really good! The cilantro sauce was really fresh and excellent flavor. I enjoyed the blue cheese in the steak tacos! The San Diego tacos were excellent as well. Service - was good. She was helpful with suggestions on food not as much on beer selection. Ambiance - Typical dark sports bar with several TVs and sports atmosphere.

I was visiting the area and decided on their fish and chips which looked just as amazing online as it did in person. The only issue was that there was too much raw batter (in almost every bite). I tried air frying it once I got home to no avail. The fries were delicious and I’m sure other menu items are a hit but the fish was a no for me dawg.

Average to below average food. Horrible coffee. Service was very average. Waitress was unattentive, had to ask her to bring silverware after a food arrived,that kind of thing. I know we're on the beach but the prices were outrageously high. Maybe that's why our group were the only ones in there.

Food was average, including finding a hair inside one of the beef sliders. Service was friendly but super slow. All the menus were wet. The best part was when I asked for the wet table to get wiped, I was handed the napkin to clean it myself.

Ate here with my family, we got the burger, shrimp tacos, and the chicken and waffles. The food had no flavor, chicken and burger tasted unseasoned. The shrimp was overfilled and falling out, it needed a third tortilla. The atmosphere indoors was too loud for a normal Saturday. The service was great, greeted and taken care of. Might be back for drinks, but definitely not food.

Food was great but service is something else. Came in with my parents while on vacation and trying new places, when we came in it was around 11:40 and not many people, we were seated and we ordered our food, food was really good but when we ordered our wings to share they gave us a tiny sauce cup that barley had any ranch in it so we asked our server if we can have one more ranch to share and she did and my dad ordered a margarita it went well until we got our check to see they charged us for the extra ranch which we didn’t know we would get charge extra and we’re not told it was extra, we would’ve been ok if they had told us it would be but just like the first one it had barely any and it was $2 and they even put a additional charge for my dad drink which was more then what it said in the menu and our server then started giving us a attitude for asking why there were extra charge. Horrible service, I don’t remember her name only that I can remember is she had a tattoo on her face but she should not treat customers who spend more then $60 at a restaurant

Had a terrible experience. If you like rude servers/ managers and undercooked chicken this is the place for you. Ordered sliders they came out raw. Chicken fingers came out cold and undercooked. The beer was warm. When I told the manager what happened he literally waked away not even a sorry and never came back. We paid $120 for a couple of drinks and a pasta dish. Waitress was extremely rude. This place is bad.
