The food is good, and I highly recommend the steamed sandwiches over any other option. I had the marinated pork sandwich, which I thought was very good. My companions ordered other dishes, which were good but not as good as the steamed sandwich. The service was good, but not great; there's always room for improvement in customer service. The place is a quiet spot in the center of the arches. There are tables both inside and outside.

Delicious steamed cakes made with telera, soft bread with shredded pork and vegetables to taste. Delicious at a good price, perfect for enjoying with the family. I recommend them. There's parking around the corner for 20 pesos an hour, which is good for exploring the park and the arcades.

Lonchera La Polar is a very historic restaurant located in downtown Colima. In my opinion, the marinated pork loin sandwich lacked flavor. A little salt helped a bit, but it still left something to be desired! And something that isn't typical of the restaurant but very uncomfortable: in the short time I was there, at least 10 people passed by, including drunks, drug addicts, and homeless people, asking for money and standing at the tables without the staff offering to help them leave.

One of most delicious places to enjoy Colima's true country snack food: "the torta". Made with unique baked telera bread, pork carnitas lightly spiced, choice of onions, lettuce, tomatoes, cream and mayo and a bit of mustard you will NOT be disappointed! 😋👌🏼 Add jalapeños to it, pair it with a Toni-Col (vanilla flavored soda) and prepare to give those taste buds a unique experience🤪

Un lugar muy concurrido por los locales Me lo recomendó un amigo que tiene familia en Colima, y que visita regularmente la ciudad Pedí la torta de lomo al vapor, que es la más emblemática del lugar Y un agua de guayaba que estaba muy buena La torta estaba buena, muy sencilla pero buena Hay más opciones de tortas, quise pedir un taco al pastor, pero me dijeron que se habían acabado.

El concepto podria ser mas tradicional pero no se dejen engañar por parecer una simple luncheria ofrece valor para el paladar turista a un buen precio Excelente vista✅ Excelente servicio ✅ Comida tradicional y rica ✅ Precio ✅ Limpieza(Baños) ❌

Venimos exclusivamente a probar los lonches o tortas al vapor, muy buenas buen sabor, si tardaron un poco en traerlas(nos acabamos los refrescos que pedimos pues el calor está sabroso), y a buen precio puedes pedirlas en combo incluye papas y refresco, la atención muy buena de parte de la chica que nos atendió, lo malo que llega demasiada gente a pedir dinero o vender cosas o cantar y cada 2 minutos te están pidiendo dinero, claro no es cuestión de ellos pero por comer en la banqueta pasa eso, cosas que puedes evitar si comes dentro, ya que después de la décima persona que te pide dinero ya suele ser algo molesto.

How disappointing it is to come back and see that the service for serving you a steamed cake is no longer the same, when you would think it would take more than 20 minutes for a steamed cake.
