This is the best place to take your deer for processing. The staff is amazing and they truly care about your harvest. I received exactly what I wanted and I could tell everything was handled with precision and care. Alamo Meat Market has earned a life time customer with me.
THE BEST STEAK YOU WILL EVER COOK!!! Y’all need to skip the meat aisle at your local grocery store and drive the distance to get these steaks. I cooked them medium rare and they were like butter. My wife and I make the trip from Austin every couple of weeks and stock up! There may be a line, but they serve great sandwiches, so you can snack while you wait. They also have wine and a selection of specialty products. I picked up some jerky and spicy dried sausage today and both were excellent! The employees are super friendly and helpful!
It was great. Tried it out for the first time. They serve sandwiches, which are really good. The people in there were very friendly.
Best meats in the area. We meet the owners and they really care about what they do. My new weekly place.
This is an awesome place to bring anything thing that you need processing. We deer season coming up in the fall, you will defiantly want to keep these guys in mind!

Great customer service. One of the greatest group of people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Dry sausage is the best I have had. Don't forget about the bake goods. They are amazing. Thank you all for a great an unforgettable experience.
Amazing customer service. Everyone I have encountered here has been very kind and quick to help. Processed two deer this year and their burger w/ brisket is out of this world good. Also, dont skip out on the jalapeno cranberry sausage. Its a new fan favorite in our house.
Their jerky is Awesome! I bought their Stuffed bacon wrapped tenderloin and it was out of this world! Everyone there is very nice and helpful. I've been there several times and plan on going back again. You should give them a try if you haven't already.
This year was the first time I shot a deer. I was so excited, now I had a job to do. Traveled to Alamo Meat Market in Comfort. Pulled up there around 7:45am, there they were waiting on customers. The young man explained everything I needed to know while filling out the form. Reed ( Owner), walked out and I told him I wanted to see how to gut my Buck. Reed explained in detail as he was working. Alamo Meat Market made my first experience with my first Buck so easy. I can’t say enough, how great an experience I had with the whole process of hunting. Hunters need to know about Alamo Meat Market. Reed explained how they mount the heads. He’s going to mount the skull and horns for me. They do everything there. 5 Stars Just had the back straps from Alamo. Back straps were the best I’ve ever had, so tender, you can cut it with a knife.
I've probably had about 7 deer processed here so far, we've tried nearly everything they dream up, very creative, the quality pork they mix with sausage was a important plus! Their dry ring, pan sausage, all meats and especially the packaging and labeling are superior to any other market I've used in over 50 years of hunting! Try the broccoli salad with lunch in the dining room or take it with you. Don't miss the casseroles and all chicken salad varieties. Experience parisa (meat spread) with crackers, its a South Texas tradition. Were so glad to have the new owners and staff in beautiful Comfort TX.
Alamo did a great job processing our deer. Reed helps run a great business, and we will continue to come back.
Alamo Meat Market & Provisions is hands down one of the best spots for high-quality meats in the area! I’ve enjoyed their lunch sandwiches, dried sausage, fajita meat, and steaks—every single time, the quality has been outstanding. Their selection is top-notch, and the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I also took my deer here for processing and had a great experience. The process was smooth, and the final product was excellent. Whether you’re looking for everyday meats, specialty cuts, or wild game processing, Alamo Meat Market delivers. Highly recommend!
We have brought our deer here for 10+ years. Reid is the man- always helpful.
Stopped in for lunch while on the road and was pleasantly surprised. Excellent chicken salad sandwich and pork sandwich. The deviled eggs and potato salad were also great. They had a lot of take away and heat prepared items as well. There are a few tables on the side to eat. Clearly their main focus is a butcher type shop but they had an excellent lunch selection. Oh and the chocolate chip cookies….. delicious.
Been using this place for years and it never disappoints. Great place to bring wild game to
From start to finish their team was outstanding. drove 4 hrs, on a Sunday to find them closed and less than 15 minutes someone was there and they were friendly. The dried sausage, salami, and HB meat was outstanding. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Top notch!! thank you, Jim Kohler I will be back. Great Job to the staff.

I had an Axis done into dried ring sausage and pan sausage. The dried sausage was great, but the pan sausage was some of the best I ever put in my mouth. **Don't say spicy if you don't really mean spicy. Thanks Kriss-Abigail

The owners and employees are very friendly and they know what they're doing. All of their products are the best you'll ever have. I drive 60 miles one way to do business with them and it's worth it! My favorite is the dry sausage but everything there is amazing.
Five stars! We were camping nearby and wanted some burgers... there weren't any burgers in the butcher case but the butcher asked if we'd like him to whip some up. We said "Sure!", and 10 minutes later we were out the door. Seasoned with just salt and pepper and cooked on a coal fire, everyone raved about them. These folks are customer focused and the beef was top notch. Will go back next time we are camping down that way.

I’m not amused by this place, had my order sheet and only some of the sausage was correct, the dried sausage and it taste bad what ever wood was used to smoke it has a heavy duty bad taste ( like green un cured live oak) the dried sausage was not dried and is still soft and mushy! I am glad I didn’t have the whole deer made into dried like I usually do with other places, so I can snack on it while driving, ( it’s definitely not what I sampled when I dropped off my deer) , hopefully some of the Italian sausage doesn’t taste bad or have a aftertaste! I don’t know if it’s owned by someone new or the employees don’t know what they are doing, because I had heard good things about the deer processing and that’s not my experience! I don’t think I would want to get another deer processing job done here again, it’s clean , friendly, ect , but some how my sausage was ruined and will be given away because of the bad taste A addendum to my review Alamo has offered to replace my sausage that was wrong with a new product, beef and pork sausage links 20lbs to replace the deer & pork. Customer service is a good thing

DEER HUNTERS BEWARE. Absolutely the worst deer processing place ever. They took both of my deposits because I picked up both deer after they had been frozen and thawed out over a month and never worked on. I talked to three separate people there and got different stories and excuses from all of them. When I said I wanted to pick them up to take elsewhere after a month with nothing being done they kept $200 in deposits. They way they treat there meat is absolutely disgusting. Deer hunters stay away.
I took a whitetail buck to Alamo Meat Market for processing, expecting a straightforward and professional experience. I personally sat down with the owner and filled out my order sheet, specifying a variety of cuts—including steaks, stew meat, ground hamburger, and backstrap. I did request some jalapeño cheese sausage and dried sausage, but certainly not in the insane amounts I received. Having an entire deer turned into sausage is something I don’t think anyone would do. When I picked up my order, I was shocked to find that my entire deer had been processed into 40 packs of jalapeño cheese sausage and 30 packs of dried sausage. No backstrap, no tenderloins, no stew meat, and not a single pack of ground hamburger were included. Not only was my order completely disregarded, but the final price (even after my $100 deposit) was nearly three times what I normally pay for deer processing. After realizing the mistake, I reviewed my order sheet and confirmed that my requested cuts were listed correctly. When I brought this up, the owner quickly went into the cooler and handed me a box of meat—likely taken from someone else’s order—because the label ink was still fresh and smeared when I touched it. This confirmed my suspicion that my original order was never processed correctly, and a "missing box" was never in the mix. I’ve processed multiple deer every season and have never had an order so blatantly mishandled. I felt completely taken advantage of, as it was clear they prioritized high-priced sausage over fulfilling my actual order. I highly recommend Klein’s in Boerne or another reputable place. Alamo Meat Market is sketchy, and I won’t be returning.
It is the exact same beef you can buy at HEB. Only difference, about 5$ less per pound at HEB. Their beef is grain feed, not a big deal, and it comes from Sysco which is the same beef you get in most restaurants. Why people pay the prices these guys ask is really amazing. Processing, way over priced... Not friendly at all.
