Just fantastic. The ladies working the counter we absolute dolls and the food is fantastic. The food is so fantastic that my wife and I ate there 2 days in a row. Like I said, everything was great but the mufaletta sandwich was my favorite. My wife skipped around on the menu but everything she had was great. From the Arti Havarti sandwich to the soups you won't be disappointed. I am so mad at myself for not getting the peoples names but they were all great. The older gentleman was really nice. I assume he was the owner but whoever he was he and they made it an enjoyable and memorable dining experience. If you're ever in Comfort Texas you should check out High's Cafe. - Went for breakfast and the menu is simple, not too many options, but there is something for everyone. - FOOD: I had the French toast with fresh berries. It was good and had 3 filling pieces with fresh berries. - Our group of five's food all came out together, quickly and everything was fresh and plated nicely. - My friends ordered the breakfast sandwich (really looked good! eggs how you like them cooked, bacon and cheese on fresh made bread), steel cut oats with fixings bar with berries and brown sugar and nuts, and one ordered a breakfast taco with egg, bacon and cheese. Tortilla was cooked there. Everyone said their plates were good. - COFFEE: The coffee was fresh, not too strong and not weak, and there was not only sugar and cream to add but also cinnamon and cocoa and sugar in the raw. - ATMOSPHERE & SEATING & SHOPPING: A group of ladies were meeting for cards and a group of men chatting and drinking coffee sat at the front and were friendly to us and said hello as we walked in the door. - The atmosphere was simple and artsy. - There is both indoor and outdoor seating. There are already some larger tables set up for more than just a party of 4 so you don't have to scoot tables and chairs to fit a crowd. - They carry gift type items and books there as well. A kid's toy section with unique, nature and activity type toys. Gift cards, books, lotions and soaps. - THE TOWN: Comfort is a really quaint, sweet town. The downtown area and High Street has different shops, restaurants and historical buildings and there is plenty of parking.

I’m so in love with just about everything on their menu. The recipes and flavors are exactly the same as 10 years ago when I last visited. 🥰 This time we got our favorites, the muffuletta, crab cake, pickled veggies, chicken Chili soup. Wish I coulda taken 5 other items to-go. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. Patio was nice even at 93°.

A very quaint place! The food is delicious! Fresh ingredients in our lunch plates. We had the salmon sandwich and the caprese salad. The place has sitting indoors and outdoors. Since we had our dogs, we sat outdoors! To our surprise they have fresh water for dogs outside! Too kind! We will definitely return!

Loved this place. The hot dog and homemade potato salad was delicious! Even though it was a warm day the outside seating was shaded and provided fans. Self service with plenty of condiments and clean utensils. Relaxing atmosphere and wonderful place to catch up with friends.
