Medleno Coffee Shop and Roastery

Truly best cappuccino I've had in years. I was a little skeptical when l was asked to choose a size (with 12oz being the smallest), but it was shockingly good. The owner actually asked me if I wanted it dry (also known as an ACTUAL cappuccino, and not the slightly foamy latte that seems to be accepted in most of California). The espresso was well extracted, and the foam was delightful. This place is worth stepping off the freeway for if you are passing through. There's also some pastry, bagels, and a small selection of Balkan snacks, but nothing that I would describe as filling.

I’ve explored far and wide across the Bay Area to source freshly roasted coffee beans, and this cute little cafe is the best one out here! The ladies running this shop are gracious and always recommend the best beans based on what I’m looking for that week. The beans are fresh, and there are plenty of options for everyone’s liking. My little one also loves the croissant there, while her parents get their coffee fix.

Update 5/16/2022: My wife was in San Ramon so I asked her if she could drop by. A very pleasant experience. The lady (owner?) helping was very attentive, explaining differences between beans / roasting. She even gave us a sample to try!

I've been a coffee lover for two and a half decades, and I've tried coffee from all over. Medleno is the best coffee I've ever tasted. The flavors are bold, complex, and potent, yet smooth and without any acidic bite. The beans are always freshly roasted. The owners very sweet, passionate about their coffee, and have a lifetime of experience in roasting and brewing, and their staff are wonderful, attentive, and hard working. Medleno's is truly a rare gem and a diamond in the rough.

Not only is this the best coffee I've had in my life, but the owners are truly the sweetest people you could ever ask to have running a coffee shop! They are working on the deck plates with their employees--hard work, dedication, and true passion pour into their business on a daily basis, yet they are always there to greet their costumers with a "smile" or "hello" every day. Igor and Ina are the best and two of the hardest working people I know! You can tell there is true vision behind what they're doing, to provide exceptional coffee to the community. You will not find better coffee in Danville or San Francisco!

They have fresh beans if you are into those: - espresso blend is decent - I have not used those beans in my home made espresso but tasted doubleshot - good crema, good neutral taste hinting towards chocolate, walnuts minus bitterness, maybe lack of fruitiness but I do not particularly enjoy fruitiness often. I took columbian medium roast, will update on how it went there, the beans look really fresh (roasted in 25 and I took on 28 so maybe too fresh for espresso but I like fresh personally) UPDATE: Espresso Roast and Columbian Roast AND Ethiopian Y. Roasts are incredible! They really do it so well, I am shocked I did not go to them any sooner…. Wow!

Ida and her team roast and brew the best coffee that I have ever had - and I would dare say the best in the US. You may notice she has many regulars whose names and orders she knows by heart, since her coffee and her service are world class and the environment she creates is warm, welcoming, and, of course, caffeinating.

Stop by here to get some iced coffee. Definitely feels like quality coffee but be warned it is jet fuel. Strong, quality coffee tho. Would recommend. Loved that the ice cubes were made of coffee. 👌🏼

The sweetest family owns and works here! They want your experience to be amazing from the first sip and it shows! Super cute small order counter inside with a lot of outdoor seating. Great palce for grab and go in my opinion. Got a caramel latte and it was so delicious and not too sweet! Did not try the pastries but they looked really good! My family's new go too spot! Happy to have find you guys!

Got a Turkish coffee and it did not disappointed. Slower brewed coffee is always the best, made with love and care. Super fresh and super flavorful. Cardamom in coffee is just chef’s kiss, always. Got a chocolate croissant that I devoured in seconds.

What an authentic turkish coffee! It is so aromatic, flavorful!! Getting extra cardamom spices make it even more authentic! Best in the east bay!

Regular drip coffee is bitter and tasteless. All alternative milks are loaded with sugar. Nice folks though. But pass!

literally came with high expectations due to the reviews and the selection of roasts. very friendly staff, however the flat white i got was the worst of the past few years. milk wayyy too hot, needed to let the coffee cool off for a literal 10mins. also, your small size is still too big to make it a decent flat white imo. please do better. not what i expected from a specialty coffee roaster.
