Really enjoy this place...like the name their "sauce" is the best. But there is nothing on their menu that isn't excellent. BBQ Brisket Sandwich on a fresh bun melts in your mouth..without sauce it is great but add their sweet spicy sauce and you'll have a new favorite. Make sure you start with their fried jalapenos and pickles. This places BBQ is that good. You will argue with your friends which BBQ joint is the best and Sauced will be at the top. Must have a Mango Jalapeno Mule to cool things down. Gotta get me that recipe. You need to save up to eat and drink here. You'll spend $$$ which seems double when cash is so scarce for most but I save and have my Birthday dinner here and my kids have taken up the tradition on with their birthdays too... Love your "sauce" Sauced...
It was my second time here, brought family and friends for the experience. Since we just so happened to be in the area for the night market, it was only befitting to stop in for something sweet and savory. Our server, Sarah D went above and beyond to ensure the sequence of service was executed in a timely manner and she made our dining experience a lovely one :)
Great bbq taste! I got the 2 meat combo plate with burnt ends and brisket with sides: jalopeno grits and apple slaw. The brisket tasted great although was slightly dry. The burnt ends were completely great, as well as the sides. Pricing is average for bbq esp. in downtown Walnut Creek. $25 for 2 meat combo, or about $15 to 25 for a one meat dinner. The plates that the meals are served on were lackluster tho, and moved around when cutting since there are no place mats. A few different bbq sauces are available on the table if you are so inclined. I would say this is comparable to Lucille's smokehouse.
Manager Shelby and her staff took care of us for a large order for a company meeting. We called the evening before to prepare for 7 Sauced Party Packs to be ready early in the afternoon. Everything was ready by 11:30 AM as promised! We greatly appreciate the service and courtesy of all the staff that helped, from taking the order and loading the car. And the food was delicious, hot and fresh! We will be back!
Sauced BBQ & Spirits has an amazing menu with great service and I look forward to my next time dining here.
I have been there once before, brought a friend this time and loved the drinks, services and food!
Great service, outstanding food, would highly recommend. Brisket burnt ends sell out daily, but it’s absolutely delicious!!!
One of the best places to hangout in Walnut Creek with lots of good brew taps and smoke meats. It may be a bit noisy of you are trying to have a quiet date, but other than that great atmosphere. Fast service! I love the ribs, glazed Brussels sprouts, the smoked wings and the brisket. Tons of bar area tables, nice patio
Great place, food came out quickly, staff was very friendly. Large bar with delicious cocktails
Awesome whiskey bar with specials every day on different types. Ordinary service. Had pork belly burnt ends with coleslaw and sweet potato casserole. The coleslaw was amazingly spicy! I want the recipe! Burnt Ends were a little dry so I added extra sauce and the casserole was a little sweet for my taste.
Peobably the best BBQ place I've been to in years. I particularly like their burnt ends coupled with the Hot Tin Roof sauce. They offer a variety of meats as BBQ but also sandwiches, salads, and several sides. Couple that with a complete bar and you have a spot that is great for an evening. They have outdoor seating that is covered and heated in case of weather that needs it also. Service is quick and efficient.
Very nice place, and the food was very delicious, we're visiting from Bakersfield and we're definitely dinning here again next time we're in town, the restaurant was very elegant and clean , the staff very polite and friendly, we had the bar b q two meat deal and we loved it, I recommend this place
I usually go to their Livermore location. The Walnut Creek location didn't disappoint. Same excellent food and service. Keep up the good work.
Favorite place for BBQ pulled pork sandwiches 10/10. Great for group gatherings, not great if you don't like loud places.
Din din at Sauced. No wait. Greeted with smiles. Water was brought immediately after being seated. Brisket burnt ends nachos came out very quickly. Had a chance to savor them before the pièce de ré·sis·tance was served. Oh my! Dinosaur rib with chili Mac and sweet potato casserole. Finger licken good. Passion fruit drink was yummy too. Our server Omar, was great! Always a smile and very attentive. Took care of my party seamlessly from beginning to end. Omar and his team made the experience fantastic. Thank you Omar! 😊
Amazing food! Gena our server was the best I’ve ever had here! She’s so friendly quick and took care of us the whole time!
Good customer service. Had large party. Food was delicious, except the jambalaya was dry. Mac and cheese tasted home made. Would go back.
Gina was our server during our lunch stop here and she was so lovely and awesome. Food was great and satisfying as well! We will be back!
Grate BBQ food. Brady was our waiter, he was grate friendly, made sure we were doing good, he also recommended some stuff from the menu and beer as well. The food was grate. First time there. Will definitely go back again. Ask for Brady. Highly recommend this place if your in the mood for BBQ
Great place for barbecue foods. Loved it! Ate half a rack of St. Louis ribs. Meat is tender , delicious and plentiful. The bbq sauce was damn tasty! I ate it with waffle fries and cheese grits. My daughter had a bbq brisket melt and waffle fries as well. All absolutely 😋 delicious meals. They also have over 30 different tap beers. We had a couple of nice beers. They also had dessert , but we had no more room. The wait staff was nice. They knew when to drop on by. All in all, a great place to hang, enjoy some beer, and enjoy some wonderful bbq food! Will be back again! 😄🍖🍻 PS - if you're a whiskey lover, they have a nice whiskey bar there. They have a deal there - a beer and a shot for $10 bucks. Enjoy!
Best bbq around but end, ribs wings and brisket slices can't got wrong here. You get to add your sauced at the table. You get to pick from 4 different types a Kansas style regular, candy (sweet) or hot. And a mustered base that was not my favorite but I know a few people that would enjoy it. If you like hot you will love the hot tin roof.
This is the best BBQ place I have had in CA! Food is great and service is even better. Gena took care of us and made the experience wonderful! She gave awesome recommendations.
The lunch specials are truly of great value, and the jumbo tenders with mac & cheese ARE EXQUISITE every time. But the main star is the service from Gena R. She is always so welcoming, sweet, and goes the extra mile every time I'm seated in her section. Thanks, Gena!
We had the 1 meat plates with 2 sides. Brisket was buttery soft and flavorful. Pork ribs was slow smoked and cooked in sauce. Either one did not need any sauce. Cucumber salad was nice. Not too vinrgary. Green beans were flavorful. Garlic Mash was good but the potato salad was ok. Service with a smile a great recommendation. Hugh setting with plenty of tables and chairs. Also included was a bar. Big screen TV everywhere!
Great place to watch a game and sip on some suds! Giant TVs everywhere and plenty of options for beer on tap. Also plenty of seating and they have a mini arcade near the bar to keep the kids occupied. The food is very good too. I had a chicken sandwich, but definitely plan on tying some wings next time! Also had a pretzel and loved the dipping sauces ;this place is aptly named. The bartenders took excellent care of us too. We'll be back on another game day! Olympic Otter
Three years ago, I stumbled upon this BBQ joint during a trip to California, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. I'm from Denver and have never been a big fan of California, but this place is making me reconsider. I've been dreaming about their food ever since and am genuinely contemplating another trip back just to experience it all over again. The meat here is incredible--juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection. The beans have a fantastic smoky flavor that complements the meat perfectly, and the sweet potatoes? They are absolutely to die for. My mouth is watering just thinking about them! The service was okay overall. It wasn't particularly outstanding, but it wasn't terrible either. Things went smoothly enough, and there weren't any major issues, but nothing really stood out as exceptional. However, what adds to the charm of this place is the vibe. It's laid-back, with an awesome axe-throwing area where you can hang out and have some fun while you wait for your food or after you're done eating. It's the perfect spot for a great meal and a good time. If you're ever in California, do yourself a favor and make sure to stop by. You won't regret it!
The restaurant had a sports bar atmosphere. The restaurant side had plenty of large screen TVs. There was a bar side that was very spacious. There was a mini arcade where kids can entertain themselves. If you drink it looks like they had a good selection of alcohol beverages to choose from. I ordered the three meat combo of beef brisket, tri-tip and smoked chicken wings with garlic mashed potatoes, cornbread and a cucumber salad. The prices are a little steep but The menu had so many things I wanted to try so I will definitely be going back again and again.
My wife and I had been looking for a good BBQ place in our area. First we tried Lucille's, which was just ok, then it closed down. Then we tried Slow Hand, which was too tough and dry for our taste. Well it looks like third times a charm with this place! They have my favorites, the mac n cheese, bbq baked beans, and sweet tea. There's a good variety of food so anyone can find something that fits their tastes even if they don't want bbq itself. This place serves by far the best pork belly brisket I've ever tried. There are cuts of it that I could only describe as "bbq'd cream" the way it just melted in my mouth. I'd never had anything quite like it before! I didn't get to try the beef brisket, and it's apperently really difficult to get as I was told they haven't consistently had it since December, and when they do have it it's random and sells out in like 5 minutes. I'm perfectly happy with the pork brisket but the beef brisket MUST be pretty good too to be in such high demand.
Amazing food and amazing cocktails! Very clean and comfortable outside dining, it was a little cold and windy when we went but they had heaters all over so we barely felt it. Nice relaxed family friendly ambience and dogs are welcome on the outside patio. We enjoyed the music and the multiple tvs playing the game for those who wanted to watch. The service wasn't the best but I think we just caught our waitress on a bad day, we'll definitely be coming back.
Google just told me today that I rank in the top ten percent of bbq reviewers! Apparently I eat allot of bbq. I don’t like to compare one place to another when it comes to stars, but I have had better than this. But that was in Texas. You can’t beat Texas bbq. But for NorCal, it’s a five star joint. Big portions. Big flavor. Great service (Faithe). If you’re in the area looking for solid bbq this is it. I had the three meat. Half chicken was HUGE. brisket was perfect. Burnt ends a little dry, but still great.
I dine in with one of my peers for lunch. We first asked to sit outside and then we had change our mind and they were really nice about moving us to a table inside. The food was really delicious and it didn’t took a long time to make. I really like the decoration of the restaurant and vibe of it just felt nice. I would definitely come here again and try other food in the menu.
Super Friendly staff & great service. The food was good with a lot of options. Large selection of beers, whiskey, wine etc. the portions are huge, we all got to go boxes. We tried the fried pickles, brisket sandwich, short rib tacos, and bbq combo plate with various sides. Would love to come back for axe throwing.
This is my first time eating at any of the Sauced locations and I will tell you that it's good experience. I went to the one in Walnut Creek. The food was delicious, and the drinks were on point. Also reasonably priced. The service was really good. Parking could sometimes be a bit of a problem because it's in downtown Walnut Creek. But once you get past all that, it's an awesome experience. I will definitely go back.

Food was really good for the price. The service was really good. Our server was very attentive to our needs. Enjoyed the environment! Will be back.

My daughter has been raving about this place and has visited a few times. We stopped by for lunch finally. I had the pulled pork sandwich. It was ok but by no means great. The pork on the sandwich was very dry and not sure why but they gave me multiple pieces of the exterior of the pork which again was dry. Had to saturate the sandwich is BBQ sauce to make it somewhat enjoyable. Seasoned waffle fries were very good. May visit again next time in town and hope to have a better experience then.
Had the 3 combo meal split two ways with a friend. The St. Louis style ribs, brisket, and burnt ends were tender, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The baked beans were pretty tasty too. The pulled pork was a hard pass - way too vinegary for my liking.
Came here with a large group for lunch. We were seated at their back patio. A friend and I shared the Hippy Chick salad and 2 meat combo plate with burnt ends and ribs along with Mac and cheese and jalapeño grits. Our waitress Kelsey was attentive and always made sure we were hydrated on this scorcher of a day. She was kind enough to split the salad for us and had the chicken come on the side. We weren’t expecting it but we also got a piece of cornbread with our salad as well. The burnt ends was the stand out for me - almost like beef jerky but not. Great smoky flavor. The Mac and cheese was good but a bit oily. The grits were good and you could taste the jalapeño without biting into a jalapeño. I tried the honey mustard sauce which turned out to be too tangy for me but mixed with the pink sauce (the sweetest one), it evened it out. When the orders came out and one of them turned out to be inaccurate, Kelsey quickly remedied and got him his food. She was really great and took care of our group of 18. They also have axe throwing inside, which we didn’t get to try. Next time!
4.5 Venue: ***** Great casual ambience. Outdoor (covered) and indoor seating many TVs. Comfortable. Very crowded on a Thursday night, and a little loud. Food: **** Very good (especially for California), but not great BBQ for the price. You won't be disappointed with the brisket. The fries had good seasoning, baked beans were tasty, Mac and cheese was very good. Grits had some spiciness to them. Drink: $6 whiskey of the day. Bullitt was tasty.
Lots of space if you're looking for a place that can accommodate larger groups. Plenty of great options, drinks, and some really great appetizers & desserts. Definitely try the Burnt Ends paired with the Jalapeño Cheese Grits, and Sweet Potatoe Casserole. I tried the Brisket Melt today, and boy was it filling!
Waiter was fantastic. Missed our reservation by 17 minutes and our table had been given away. Note to others to be there within 15 minutes and give yourself extra time to find parking. House beers are just okay. Barbecue sauces were delicious. If you like sweet potatoes they have plenty of options.
The BBQ and pork belly burnt ends were alright, needs to be more flavorful or seasoned. The Mac & cheese was ok, I've had better. I give this spot a 7.8/10
The bourbon selection is great, they had a lot of things I always wanted to try. Amazing 🤩 you get a lot of food for the amount you pay. Had the ribs & burnt end brisket, the thousands island dressing is homemade and taste incredible, the salad is super fresh. The ribs were perfectly smoked flavored and tasted so tender. The buffalo chicken Mac is divine. It has a little heat from the buffalo, just the right amount of cheesiness to them, topped with crumbs. I will definitely be back, probably weekly, can't wait to try the other foods.
We stopped in to Sauced for some dinner and really liked the food. We got a half rack of ribs and a brisket sandwich. Both were very good and while portions were larger we managed to finish it all. The service was good too. We will certainly come here again. They also have lots of big screen TVs all around which would make this a good place to watch sports

Not the best bbq like others say. I had hopes for this place and was disappointed. The wait was long so I was hoping for some really hot and fresh meat. Well that’s not what I received. BBQ was room temp. The bbq sauce options are watered down and really sweet or really tangy there is no in between.
Came with friends for dinner. This place was PRICEY!! I initially was going to order the loaded potato, but was like $25+ for a potato?? Had the 2 meat combination plate of ribs, burnt ends, Mac n cheese and corn bread. Tiny portion for Mac n cheese. It was good but still paid $40+ for that! Think they should reconsider their prices.
Slowly going downhill. Last visit the meat was cold and dry. The neon arcade, which replaced axe throwing, gave off cheesy vibes, no one was using the arcades. Everything just feels off. Time for a rethink of the restaurant maybe taking a cue from Texas bbq joints that have stood the test of time.
It's actual BBQ. It's also actual BBQ that has been held in a way that you know it was held. I appreciate that the name implies that sauce is involved. Love that on the pork. My ribs were delicious albeit a little under seasoned and dry(some crunchy ends...) The burnt ends were not what I was expecting. They do not possess that salty/peppery/moist bite I was expecting . They were like dry Kansas City style "sauced" burnt ends. They were good but not great. The sides were standard 'make it cost effective' quality. Service was bad. I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come to my table after sitting down. It was lunchtime and they were not busy. That was disappointing, but I guess to be expected in these times we live in.
Service and environment was normal/good! Unfortunately knocking it down 2 stars because 1. Brisket was dry and not juicy. For a bbq meats place not acceptable. 2. The prices are way too high. Even for bbq places. $4 coke $25 for one meat plate $33 for two meat plate Not a problem but here was no mashed/baked potatoes for sides…
Ok, here’s the deal with Sauced in Walnut Creek. The food is really good, even their salads are suburb, it’s more on the $$ side, and the servers are very friendly, but the service is terrible! I’m not sure if they are understaffed and just struggle to keep up or there’s a problem in the kitchen, but it definitely becomes frustrating. We were seated in the outdoor, front, patio and then, forgotten. My daughter and then my husband went inside two separate times to let them know we were outside waiting. About 40 min in, someone came and took our order. They apologized. The food came to us a little more than an hour after we were seated. However, they brought my husband and my daughter’s food only. Later another server came out to check on us and asked if there was anything else she could get us and I had to point out that I didn’t even have my dinner served yet. She apologized. Everyone apologized, everyone was nice, but if you’re hungry, don’t go unless you you’re super great at not showing your Hang-ry.
Good food, great adult beverage selection. NO VETERANS DISCOUNTS. We came in for lunch, having a wonderful grilled turkey melt with havarti and grilled onions, and a large size of crosscut fries with melted cheddar and brisket. The food is tasty, hot and fast. I really appreciate the bucket of 4 different sauces and ketchup with lots of napkins and straws. I would recommend eating here between regular meal times as parking in downtown Walnut Creek can be challenging.
If you are really craving barbecue late at night and this is the only barbecue spot left open then yes eat here but if you are really looking for some good southern authentic barbecue, I would …
The service was great, seated quickly, food came quickly. The food was quite disappointing. Small portions and the brisket was really dry and chalky. Almost like it had been reheated in the microwave and it didn’t have a smoke ring like they claim it should. Mac n cheese was yummy. My husbands shrimp tacos weren’t great, and the corn bread was really dry and flavorless. I didn’t prefer any of their bbq sauces. Quite pricey for the portion sizes as well.
I'm giving this place to stars because the atmosphere wasI'm sorry to say I ordered REDNEXICAN NACHOS with BBQ chicken and it was the driest chewiest poorly made should not have been served to a human being don't know if you call it shredded chicken or pulled chicken but it was and I ordered the wings and even they were also dry and crunchy no sauce could help them but I will say one thing my date ordered the swamp fries and they were good

This is for online ordering and delivery. Their website changed for online ordering and does not work well. When we finally placed an order for delivery I received a confirmation, delivery time estimate. Was all good. Then received a text that my order was cancelled and I should call the restaurant for explanation. Called no answer. I was already irritated with the crap website but now I am done. We were ordering weekly from this place, but we’ll go somewhere else. Done.
Food didnt taste what it is supposed to taste. They put mashed potato inside the baked potato. I guess they didnt have baked potato ready. Do they think their customers are stupid enough to not to notice the difference. Do not recommend this place, service is also very weak
If you like the feeling of an ice pick in your ear, this is now the place for you!! I’ve been a huge fan and consistent customer at Sauced in Walnut Creek since they moved into the old Pyramid site but made my last visit there a couple weeks ago. I used to love to grab a beer and nachos with friends and have watched many football games there over the years. We went a couple weeks ago to watch a football game to find that the bar area also includes arcade games…where children can play. And the sound on EVERYTHING seemed to be set at max. I’m not sure what they were thinking. This is no longer an inviting place to hang out. I wished I had had ear plugs. Who carries earplugs to a sports bar/restaurant known for their smoked meats, beer, and whiskey selection? Yeah, me neither. We had to leave. Sauced, please let me know when you change the bar back to a place for adults. Until then, we will find somewhere else to go.
This is my second attempt at trying to get good service here. The first night, I sit at the bar and ordered a drink to have while I look over the menu. I noticed couple of people come to sit at the bar after I had ordered my drink, they are attended to and receive their drinks. All while I wait for mine. I had been there far too long at this point and didn't have confidence the rest of my service would be good so I left after not getting my drink, a water or any food. The second evening, I sat at the bar for 5 minutes, no service and no bartender at the bar. At this point I turned on the stop watch function on my phone, and it was another 3 minutes before someone came to ask what I'd like. I ordered a drink and all is well and good... After eating, I waited again for the bartender to notice I was ready to close out but she was in the middle of taking with 2 other people behind the bar and a customer sitting at the bar. Service just doesn't seem to be a priority or care fort the employees. All in all, good food but probably the worst service I've ever had. Servers aren't attentive and just seem like they'd rather chat amongst themselves than provide service. I gave the place two opportunities to provide somewhat decent service and was disappointed each time.
Food was utter let down.... extremely dry brisket... had to send back then bring out some unrendered peiced of the fatty which was flavorless also inedible. The pork belly hurt ends where okay... the ribs where a horrible cut where I got 75% rib tips and cartledge.. won't return to this location..
Customer service, wack. I thought it was just a bad night but 3 visits same type of dry service from bartender, doesn’t make this 14 dollar drink worth it yet enjoyable. I would buy lunch for my staff here at least once a month to go. But the dine in service at the bar/high tables has been a bad experience. We all have bad days but this is too consistent to be bad days. Not welcoming at all. And when I asked for suggested drink, she walked away and then asked what I’d like. Come on, what kind of service is this. Last time a gentleman was helping me out and did the same thing. This isn’t a bad day it’s bad recruiting from management. Will try again in 6 months. FYI, the bust boys were more friendly than the waiters/bartender in my visits. I’m sorry but they need a growth plan and team meetings.
Worst BBQ ribs I've had in my life. Overcooked, maybe 2 or 3 times reheated. Bones were melted. All grit and tendons... but again now size... totally flat and gross. You have been warned. This was sad
This place was dirty, for the price they are asking you would think they would keep the place clean. The vr head set lenses were covered in grease. I asked for help cleaning it I was tossed a napkin. The bathroom was disgusting and hadnt been cleaned in a long time. I felt more disgusted leaving the restroom then entering. I just had my drink and left
food was good but the service was absolutely horrible. i left no tip for the waitress. she never checked on us. after receiving water we waited 25 mins to even order our food. i asked for a steak and she had to check if there was anymore, we then waited 10 mins for her to “check” as we watched her walk around and not check. we ate, food was good. she then gave us a takeout box and took our plates. after we were done and ready to leave she was no where to be found. waited another 20 mins for a check. just absolutely horrible service on her part. never said sorry for the wait or anything this was on 2/8/26. food is good but will not come back due to service
Worst ribs I’ve ever had in my life :( really burnt and dry and the taste is genuinely like what dog food smells like. Fries are good! Atmosphere is lovely. Perhaps the server is having a bad day as others are being served but our server hasn’t offered refills, forgotten multiple times and no quality check. This was also $35
