I went here because my hairstylist raved about their lemon drops. My waiter was Shaun and he was very knowledgeable about the products, history of the restaurant, and very attentive to us. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice. Definitely a family place, brunch with friends, or even a solo date. We tried the fried mushrooms and they were fried to protection with a flaky coat. For my meal, I got the shrimp and grits and those jalapeño infused grits gave the dish a unique flavor, not spicy at all but flavorful. My friend got the cheesy poblano chicken and it was really good as well. We didn’t get lemon drops but we tried the “Dahlia” and it was very good. My egg had a heart in it and that was the icing on the cake, will be back!!

The service was good, from Nate the server to Phil the manager. They both kept their composure with some unhappy patrons. The food was not as flavorful as I'd hoped for. It looked good, just lacked in taste. The atmosphere and restaurant were inviting. The prices were average.

Nice spot for all kinds of fare. I've been craving wedge salads all summer and theirs was very good. Bacon was thick and the dressing could have been a bit thicker, but it was a good flavor. Hubby chose the huge rib over the bone-in ribeye and it was a great decision. I got his sides - the corn was way too watery, but those mashed potatoes were excellent!

Great Spot with Tasty Chicken and Waffles Stopped by The Rim for takeout and ordered the Chicken and Waffles. The restaurant has a cool pop culture and music vibe, with posters of musicians and old movies, plus guitars and even a motorcycle hanging from the ceiling. It wasn’t busy when we went in, and there seemed to be plenty of seating with options for a dining area, bar, and outdoor seating. The menu has tons of choices, though be prepared to spend around $30-50 per person if you’re getting drinks too. Our order took about 20 minutes, and even after a 10-minute drive home, the chicken and waffles were still hot. The chicken was crispy on all pieces with amazing flavor. The syrup was great, but we weren’t huge fans of the blueberry-infused butter. The carrot garnish was a nice touch visually, though it wasn’t really to our taste—some pieces were tough and got stuck in our teeth. The collard greens had a good smoky flavor, though some pieces were a bit large for my liking. Overall, this is a great spot with a fun atmosphere and tons of food options. Based on the delicious chicken and waffles, I’d bet the rest of the menu is just as good!

The Rim has great service and atmosphere. But the food we ordered was average. For a $20 salad I expected more. The scratch made Margherita pizza was good but not great. When back in the area, we might give it another try.

The service (our server) was wonderful. The food not so much. My son and I had two different burgers and were disappointed. I had the regular "Rim" burger. The sauce was terrible, and they build up the burger to look huge by adding a ton of lettuce. I could have got us both full meals at In N Out and had a much better burger than this thing. My son couldn't finish his burger, the jalapeño burger. And that is really unusual for him to stop eating a burger. Another thing is we sat at the complete opposite end of the restaurant from the bar (near the front door), and the people at the bar were crazy loud. I think one of them was even a staff member. I don't think we will be back.

The rim was so cute! I really liked the ambiance. Unfortunately I ordered a cosmo and the drink they gave me was indeed not a cosmo. My food also came a bit charred. However the customer service was good and the vibes were nice. The reason I’m only giving 3 stars is because the drinks and food just weren’t a hit.

The atmosphere is good and that's pretty much where it ends. The service was just ok. I came with a party of about 10 people and quite a few people expressed disdain with the food. My main issue is that the menu clearly says the gratuity for parties over 8 include an 18% gratuity. Our tickets show a 20% gratuity. Phil, the manager, assured me that the ticket would be corrected since I added a to-go item after my ticket was printed (we were told tickets couldn't be adjusted once printed). When I got the new ticket it still said 20% and there was no correction. Pay close attention to your ticket.

I’ve been here a few times hoping the food would improve, but it’s been a letdown both times. The drinks and service are consistently great, but the food doesn’t match the quality. Today’s shrimp and grits were watery and bland, and the manager didn’t seem to share the same standards for food quality. Unfortunately, it’s just not worth the price.

This score has nothing to do with my server, Rae was absolutely lovely and took very good care of me. As I was seated, I had come to notice a broken lamp, broken glass in a picture frame on the wall, and crayon all over the wall, and this was all INSIDE the booth right over the table. The lamp was hanging from the wall and still on. My food… I ordered ratatouille with salmon on the side, but I did not get ratatouille… I got some random vegetables that were in massive chunks and only charred lines on the outside, they were not cooked properly and my salmon was extremely dry even with the Chimichurri sauce on the side. Not a single seasoning was added to the salmon or the vegetables. I even spread the Chimichurri sauce on the salmon to help, but it was so bland and dry. Rae was so kind and offered me a menu to find something else, the Rim burger was decent enough, but I will not be going back. I did enjoy the mocktail Mojito and spinach artichoke dip though. I am posting what I was served, as compared to what ratatouille should be.

If I could give zero stars, I would!! My sister and I chose The Rim for Sunday brunch before going to catch a movie.....NEVER AGAIN!! My sister had a question about a menu item and instead of our waiter Nathan saying let me check, his immediate answer was "no" followed by an excuse. He wasn't the greatest at serving to begin with, but we were hungry so we gave him grace. The food comes out and as we are enjoying it, a bug crawls across my plate and up onto my fork. Prior to the food coming out, our table was clean and we were sitting for at least 45 minutes before receiving our food which leads me to believe the kitchen is not up to par. Our waiter was nowhere around so we grabbed the waitress passing by. She took the plate to the back, not even stunned or alarmed that there was even a bug on the plate. Neither our waiter nor the manager, Jose, came out to address the issue. My sister had to flag our waiter down to let him know we were leaving. Bad service and unsanitary conditions in a food establishment is unacceptable. This was a horrible experience and I WILL NOT be back!!

Wish zero stars was an option. Service, atmosphere , and the food quality used to be good. Today after taking bites of our food, we see a roach crawling on my sister’s plate. No wonder I have stopped dining here and won’t be back ever again. The manager didn’t bother to come to our table, no apology, and our server just smiled it off like we were just going to be okay with it. We politely got up and left. Ridiculous!

If I could give this place a zero I would. My friend and I went there on Monday for lunch and the experience was despicable. We have visited this restaurant in the past and everything was really good, so I'm not sure what happened this time around. She ordered the lunch portion fried chicken and requested two drumsticks instead of thighs for her meat selection. She was advised that there would be an upcharge for two drumsticks, which was alarming as that is the least expensive pieces of dark meat. She declined the change and told the waiter just to bring her the leg and thigh, even though that's not what she wanted. When the food arrived, she noticed, they did honor her request and we were pleased. When she went to eat the chicken there was BLOOD on the plate. We never saw the waiter again to send it back or ask for a manager. I asked another waitress to get me a manager, and once he came to the table he was just a despicable and dry. He never apologized for serving her UNDERCOOKED AND BLEEDING CHICKEN and also was very inattentive to the patrons in the establishment. We we left to assume that he compensated the meals because the waiter finally returned and advised us to have a good day. If this is representative of Chef Hicks legacy in Fort Worth I am deeply saddened.
