We had an incredible experience at Mamey Miami in Coral Gables! Our dinner reservation was for 5 people at 8:00 PM, but two members of our group were running nearly an hour late. Despite the delay, Rick, the manager, was extremely accommodating and made sure we still had a table ready once everyone arrived—his professionalism and hospitality set the tone for the night. The bartender was top-notch, crafting some amazing cocktails to get the evening started. I ordered the Brava, a tequila-based drink that was perfectly balanced and refreshing. My wife had the Rumwake, a rum cocktail that was equally impressive. Both drinks were standout creations. For appetizers, we shared the pork belly tacos, shrimp ceviche, and ahi ahi taquitos—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our friends ordered the lomo saltado, lobster penne pasta, and butcher’s cut steak for their mains, and everyone agreed: the food was phenomenal. The ambiance was beautiful, the restaurant was immaculately clean, and even the bathrooms had thoughtful touches like a mouthwash dispenser with individual shot servings—such a smart and classy detail. From start to finish, this was an amazing night. Excellent service, delicious food, and creative cocktails in a stunning setting. Mamey is the perfect spot for a special night out or a memorable date. Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a place that combines exceptional food, cozy ambiance, and top-notch service, Mamey is the spot to visit. I recently had the pleasure of spending a leisurely lunch there with friends, and it turned out to be an experience worth raving about. From the incredible flavors to the inviting atmosphere and thoughtful service, this restaurant hits all the right notes for a memorable outing. Located in a vibrant yet tranquil setting, Mamey has an unmistakable charm. The interior is warm and welcoming, with tropical touches that make you feel as though you’ve been whisked away to an island escape. It’s cozy and stylish without being pretentious, making it an ideal place to relax and enjoy quality time with friends. One important tip for anyone planning a visit: avoid arriving too close to 2 PM. The kitchen and bar close at 3 PM to prepare for their evening service, which resumes at 5 PM. While this timing could be a bit limiting, it’s worth planning around because the food is absolutely phenomenal. The dishes we tried were nothing short of amazing. Each plate was a celebration of bold, fresh flavors with a tropical twist that’s both unique and comforting. The menu is thoughtfully curated, offering a variety of options that cater to different tastes, and every bite was a testament to the chef’s creativity and attention to detail. What really made our afternoon special, though, was our server. Their exceptional service and genuine enthusiasm added a personal touch to the experience. Friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, our server went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable time. Their positive energy truly elevated the atmosphere and left us all smiling long after the meal was over. After 5 PM, the restaurant terrace comes alive with a fantastic happy hour. Drinks are half-price, and the terrace provides a stunning view of the sunset, making it the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the golden hour with friends. The combination of good company, refreshing cocktails, and a breathtaking view is nothing short of magical. Mamey is more than just a restaurant—it’s a destination. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing lunch, a great place to catch up with friends, or a lively happy hour spot, this place delivers on all fronts. The thoughtful details, from the food to the ambiance and service, reflect a commitment to creating an exceptional dining experience. I highly recommend visiting Mamey, especially if you’re in the mood for a laid-back yet vibrant vibe. Just be sure to time your visit to fully enjoy either their lunch offerings or their terrace happy hour. I’ll definitely be back, and next time, I plan to stick around for sunset—it’s too good to pass up!

From the time we arrived until the time that we left, the experience was amazing. We are not from the area and arrived early fearing that we would hit some of the crazy Miami area traffic. They were able to get us in early and seated without a problem. The atmosphere was awesome and the service was great. The food was amazing to the point we probably ate a bit too much and still ordered dessert. Totally worth it.

Awesome experience!! The chef Raul Zambrano was definitely a great choice to lead the team, the food is now fresher and the flavors have more personality than ever. The service from Melina and Ruben exceeded the expectations. The drinks from the Master Bartender Jonathan made me break the “only one drink rule”. And of course the politeness from Rick the manager always made feel like home.

This place has nearly 5 stars, and it’s worth it. Located in the lobby of a hotel, it has ample space for indoor and outdoor seating. The sale is a combination of Asian and Caribbean fusion cuisine. The food is excellent and the service is high-quality. The drink menu is nice. The Local Wahoo Ceviche was unique, marinated in a coconut broth, and absolutely delicious with large chunks of fish with just the right amount of spice. The White Truffle and Brie Grilled Cheese was outstanding. Tasty and filling even as an appetizer, It was served with a mango jam that was delicious. The Heirloom Cauliflower Roti was unique as well, and just right. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I would come again.

Everything was perfect! Food= 5 ⭐️ Drinks=5 ⭐️ Service= 5⭐️ Ambiance = 5 ⭐️ This was our first time visiting Mamey. I went there with my daughter and her two friends. I recommend making reservations for dinner on the weekends. We were looking forward to eating rooftop, but sadly it was closed for renovations. We were sat outside. Even though it was warm that day, the way the restaurant is situated, there’s always a nice breeze there. We had 2 mango mules, a kiwi’s last word, and a jerk margarita. My Kiwi was really strong. All of the drinks were delicious. For appetizers we ordered the conch fritters, tuna tostones, lamb empanadas, Prince Edward Island mussels, and the white truffle grilled cheese sandwich. They were all amazing! A perfect split for four people to share. Those were some of the best conch fritters I’ve ever had, and I’ve been to The Conch House in Key Largo. Our friends favorite was the scallops and my daughters favorite was the grilled cheese sandwich in mango chutney. For dinner my daughter and I both had the lemongrass glazed Mahi. Our friends had the churrasco and the duck fried rice. The both loved the churrasco steak! My daughter and I both loved our Mahi. Everything was cooked to perfection! There were no leftovers. For dessert we split the rum cake with ice cream. It was the best any of us have ever had. I apologize for the blurry pictures. We dove into the appetizers and didn’t get any pictures of the tuna tostones or the conch fritters, or the white truffle grilled cheese sandwich.

The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the music was on fire. I gave the service 5 stars because the service itself was good - however the food took forever to come out. It was a busy night during Miami Spice, I read the reviews and was somewhat prepared for smaller portions and slow service. That said, I think it was a great place overall and I’m willing to give it another chance another time when it’s not a special event. Miami Spice menu: Ceviche in a curry sauce🔥 Conch fritters Watermelon salad Grilled cheese with Brie and mango chutney 🔥 Grouper in a Curry sauce 🔥 Churrasco Pad Thai Ghee plantains Jamaican Rum Cake 🔥 Also ordered the guava mojito and jerk margarita Gave you a little 🔥🔥🔥 next to my favorites. Would recommend you give this place a try, the food is worth it. Just go with some extra time and an open mind. Enjoy the music Can’t wait to try the lamb and the duck fried Rice 😍

My fiancé and I agree this was one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten! Each dish was better than the last. His favorite dish was the lamb short ribs, and mine was the catch of the day ceviche. Our waiter was lovely and incredibly accommodating when checking to see which dishes were safe for (or could be modified to accommodate) my food allergy. The other dishes we ordered included the shrimp tacos, yellowfin tuna tostones, farro salad, and lemongrass glazed grouper. No skips in this lineup. Definitely make time for a meal at this fabulous restaurant while in Miami!

Exotic Latin Food! This place is a dream come true! A beautiful decor, premium cocktails and gourmet dishes from the Latin American cuisine. Exotic flavors and fancy presentation. We tried about 10 items from the menu and ALL of them were beyond good! A picture can’t represent how flavorful the food is! This is an upscale restaurant, so prices are according to the location and food quality. It’s not crazy expensive like the ones in south beach. The overall experience is worth every dollar. Reservations are recommended. The building where the restaurant is at has plenty of parking space and valet is also available.

Late posting, our first visit was around a month ago and it was a perfect afternoon to evening affair. We started on the terrace where a band was playing tradicional Cuban melodies. It felt really good getting some much needed sun and fresh air on such a lovely setting. From happy hour menu we tried the conch fritters, brie grilled cheese, sishito peppers all delicious on their own right. Their creative drink menu take you back to a lush tropical island. Israel was our knowledgeable and attentive bartender his relaxed attitude made a perfect afternoon for our age inclusive family from grandma to grandson.

Mamey is such a gem! The atmosphere is relaxed but stylish, perfect for a night out. The food was flavorful and fresh, with so many unique dishes that really stand out. You know, this restaurant was phenomenal. For a hotel restaurant especially, I was super surprised. The look, vibe, lighting were all superior. Our food was also delicious - the lomo saltado was great. Cocktails also were great, and prices reasonable. Also of note, my colleague and I both asked the server to help us narrow down dinner options, and he steered us both toward dishes we loved. The service was outstanding. Would be a great business or date location.

Located in the Thesis hotel, I went for brunch, very nice elevated atmosphere. We had a breakfast croissant and short rib Benedict, both very good. They have a guava jam that is homemade and amazing. We ended with the sticky toffee pudding that was also veryyy good. Overall good experience, will return.

This restaurant had a variety of cultural dishes which were great tasting. The restaurant was extremely busy! We had reservations, thankfully, which allowed for seating right away. We were seated outdoors, which is a covered terrace. Great ambiance which makes for a great ladies/social/date night. Cocktails were amazing. The restaurant was very busy, while our server was great, we weren't attended to often. Also, if you prefer a more 'relaxing' vibe, go to the hotels 3rd floor. Mamey has a rooftop bar and serves the menu appetizers.

Mamey is a great place for a date or to have a chat with friends and family. The place is nicely decorated. The atmosphere is speakeasy and modern. Our food & drink choices were all Wonderful and tasty. The meat was cooked right, the fish was soft and the rum cake, oh the rum cake was definitely the best part! A must try if you're at Mamey.. 4/5 due to the prices for the size of the plates. Wish they were just a tad less expensive. Overall, had a good experience.

Mamey is a very cozy rooftop, and we loved the live music. The food and drinks overall were OK, so normally this would have been a 4 star review. However, the services was simply awful. The waitress was MIA for most of our time there, and she forgot to put in our food order. After one hour, I had to go to the bar and ask where the food was. The food came 30 min later. I would come back for a proper dinner in the future if it were not for the poor service.

Very disappointed! I visited for lunch. The place was at 10% capacity at most. The initial service was fast and friendly, the food came out fast, but that’s where it stops. I had an empty drink for over 10 min, only to have the empty glass taken away with no offer for another drink. 3 servers standing around just looking at our empty drinks. The food was lackluster! The calamari was overcooked, over seasoned, dry and tasted old. The ahi tacos were mediocre at best. The pork belly tacos were not good! Again, overcooked. The taste was ONLY from the sauce, not the protein. The fish sandwich was the best thing we had but also didn’t taste fresh. Nice place! Comfortable, clean, pleasant. Food needs to be better! Service needs to be better.

The short rib was spot on, delicious. The rest was just very overpriced below average food and drink. First our table was broken and they stuck sugar packs under it to stabilize it. 2nd chicken came out very dry. 3rd drink were $20+ a pop and not memorable. 4th the 2 pork belly tacos tasted pretty good but at $20 should have tasted better or been larger portions. 5th the $40 short rib while tasty included 0 sides. Yup for that price you pay additional for fries or even rice. - service was fast but not to the standard of class the restaurant was trying to compete with.

Overall, I had an unsatisfactory experience at Mamey Miami. I went here with a group of 16 friends on a Friday evening. We selected this resistant because it had great reviews. It also accommodated large parties and had a pre-fixed menu with 3 set courses which we thought would make the experience seamless. The restaurant wasn’t crowded and while we were seated quickly that was the only part of the experience that was quick. We spent 3 hours here - primarily because it took between 30mins - 1 hour between each course. In addition to that, we were sat at two separate but neighboring tables and each table received their food at different times. Each course there was a long period of time were one table was eating and the other was sitting around waiting for their food. The food itself was fine, nothing amazing. We mostly bussed the tables ourselves by collecting our plates in the hopes that the waiters would come by to collect them eventually as we went very long periods without being waited on. Despite the restaurant not being full. The worst part of the experience was after 2 hours of this, we had to ask for the manager to receive an update. The manager did not come by of their own volition to check on us or apologize. It wasn’t until we asked that he spoke with us. He did offer us a modest discount which we appreciated though it did not rectify the experience. I would not recommend this restaurant and I will not be returning.

MY INITIAL REVIEW 5 STARS: Went there expecting something good and found something great!!! The grouper dish was very tasty, service was good, and place was very nice and quiet. There is a paid parking next to the restaurant, just took the elevator and walked to the hotel, reataurant is inside of the hotel. MY REVISED REVIEW 1 STAR AFTER I REALIZED THAT THEY CHARGED ME A HIGHER AMOUNT THAN WHAT I PAID FOR. This is the first time this happens to me. It is unbelievable that I signed the paper with an amount and they charged my cc a higher amount. I saw a pending charge of 175, and when the transaction posted the amount was 191. Even though food was good, Im not going back to a place where you cant trust what they are doing with your credit card information. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF WHAT THEY ARE DOING!! I will try to contact business and write another update.
