We wandered looking for lunch on a sunny busy Sunday afternoon, most places we tried all fully booked for afternoon. By chance came on Macsura which not only had tables in sun / under shade as preferred. The the food was simply delicious 😋 l had the Pulpo& it was divine. Our very friendly waiter recommended a local white - Pedro Ximenez - which was just amazing. All in all one of the best lunches enjoyed on a 10 day trip in Andaluscia!

Very happy with the service!! All waiters were attentive, nice and fast. We had a little bit of everything on the drink menu; sangria, beer, white wine, red wine and dessert wine all 10/10. The black rice paella and saquitos were to die for. It’s a lovely location 🫶🏼

Had a great time here, food was excellent and service was amazing, Rafael was super welcoming and nice to us and gave great suggestions for typical foods that were delicious. The bola de chocolate and the fried eggplants were especially spectacular, and the flamenquin is a must. definitely would come back again if we ever get the chance!! :)

A restaurant that is very creative with the dishes. The food was fresh and well presented. The menu is varied catering for all tastes. I had Aubergines with honey to start and they came out looking like lollipops, followed by cuttlefish balls in a tomato sauce with creamy potato and then the mille-feuille for dessert. My partner had the garlic soup with mussels to start followed by the mushroom with prawns in a tomato and onion sauce and an unusual Orange desert. The service was good, our waiter really knew the menu, and explained the dishes when serving them.

Best paella in Córdoba. We had chicken paella and would highly recommend it. Leave some room for chocolate ball dessert, it tastes great and provides for some awesome visual experience. Waitress was very friendly and nice :)

We ran into this nice restaurant one night while going to have dinner at another restaurant. So, the following day, we decided to give it a try, also because we liked the way we were attended by a nice and kind girl the night before (the power of great customer service: congratulations!) The place has a lovely terrace and two elegantly decorated interior rooms. The menu is pretty original but, what matters the most, the food is delicious (and well presented) and the service is very good and attentive. Prices are probably higher than on the average in Cordoba but, from my point of view, worth the overall culinary experience. Highly recommended.

What a find. It’s not far from the Mesquite. The food is excellent, freshly made with a good selection of tapas, fish and meat dishes. We had iberico ham and warm bread, avocado and prawn salad and mushroom risotto. The service was great and the food arrived quickly. We sat outside but the inside looked very nice as well.

Had an excellent meal here last week. Our server was attentive and food came out quickly. The food was delicious but the prices were a little steep! We had the oxtail cannelloni and red parcels, then ordered the suckling pig and flamenquin :) all the dishes were done to perfection and I would definitely recommend this place, especially for a special occasion or if you’ve got a few extra €’s to spare!

Excelente reataurante comida Cordobesa sin perder su esencia ni perderse en la mediocridad de los restaurantes colindantes con comida para turistas.

Todo estaba muy rico. La carta era reducida por ser día festivo de Navidad. La única pega ha sido la demora… me ha parecido mucho tiempo entre plato y plato y no estaba lleno… quizás por Navidad hay menos gente en cocina asique no sé si quizás en día normal sucede lo mismo. Hemos pedido varios entrantes y un arroz meloso de espárragos muy ricos.

Los platos de buena calidad, presentación óptima, el canelón de rabo de toro estaba especial. El servicio amable y atento. Los postres también son geniales. La única pega que le pongo es que no había hilo musical para acompañar en una zona como están y con lo bonito que es el Restaurante.Un poco caro me resultó para las cantidades, desde la humildad, comparando con otros lugares de la zona. En general, volvería a repetir!

We came here every night we spent in Córdoba. It was a beautiful restaurant, and we spent hours and hours sitting at our favourite table outside the restaurant, watching the sun set and the people walking up and down the road beside us. Great drinks, nice food, and friendly staff.

Most restaurants open at 8pm and we were ready to eat. We were in the touristy section and wanted dinner and not tapas- stumbled into this taberna which was open at 6:30. Pepe, our server, was very helpful and accommodating with our questions and concerns. The food here is inventive and not your usual Spanish dishes. I wanted rabo de toro - and it was served canneloni style. I was hesitant and was assured that I would like it and if I am not happy, I could change my order and will not be charged. I did enjoy my rabo de toro. My husband was happy with his polpo. Dessert of Tocino de Cielo was too much for us and we could not finish it. If you want an early dinner, a different take on Spanish Dishes and great service - check out this restaurant.

The risotto and octopus I ordered during my early dinner was nice. It’s a bit pricey, but guess the location is the reason. It was clean and airy with their high ceilings. My waitress was very nice and helpful. It’s a nice stop.

The food was really good here overall they get an 8/10. If you could customize your paella to not include some items I would give it top marks. I had the ham croquette and seafood paella. The ham croquette was creamy when you opened it. It had just the right amount of ham inside.

Nos sentamos en la terraza al solecito y bien. Los camareros estaban un poco despistados y todo tardaba en general, aunque bueno, no teníamos prisa. La comida sin más, correcta pero nada espectacular. Ahora, lo que no se puede tolerar, y menos en una ciudad como Córdoba, es que las botellas de aceite que estaban encima de la mesa estuvieran con la boquilla forzada y rellenada. Eso es una vergüenza y como jiennense que soy me molesta bastante.

Otro local de quiero y no puedo como tantos en Córdoba. Comida muy normal tirando para abajo. El flamenquin no tiene perdón de Dios estando en la tierra de los flamenquines. El servicio tiene interés pero caótico. Gente joven pero de poca experiencia y menos aprendizaje. Además la disposición del local no ayuda, me gustaba más cuando estaba en el local de al lado. Carta de vinos descompensada, muy buena selección de tintos pero flojita en los blancos a pesar de tener Belondrade & Lurton (para mi el mejor verdejo de España). No creo que vuelva a ir.

La atención fue bastante buena, pero me pedí un arroz de presa y me pusieron fondo de marisco, me lo cambiaron por un solomillo, o eso creía, porque lo que vino fue presa, que no estaba en la carta, igualmente estaba muy rica, al igual que la carrillada. La cocina ese día estaba despistada, pero bueno. Lo que comí si estuvo bien, las croquetas y el salmorejo muy ricos también.

Esto es un timo, ayer mi marido y yo fuimos a cenar a Macsura Gastrotaberna, con un cumpleaños gastronómico para dos que nos habían regalado nuestros hijos (100€). Pues bien, la experiencia consistió en compartir tres platos y un postre entre los dos, que fueron los siguientes: ensaladilla de gambas (12€),merluza con falso risito(21€),un canelón troceado en 4 porciones de rabo de toro(18€)y un flan de leche condensada (6,50€), dos copas de cerveza y un culín de vino tinto. 100€??????!!!!!! Único restaurante en Córdoba acogido a esta promoción, con lo cual no pudimos elegir entre otros. Nos pareció una tomadura de pelo pues si hubiésemos ido por nuestra cuenta nos habría costado unos 70€. Por supuesto no volveré a comprar ninguno de vuestros productos ni los recomendaré. Was looking forward to ordering the risotto boletus and it was good but not spectacular. What i was disappointed in was the service which was lacklustre. it started well with a young lady taking my order anl bringing a good red wine. I ordered the risotto and she wondered if wanted anything else making me think it wouldn't be enough. I asked for a side salad - not on the menu. She offered tomatoes, onion and leaves - perfect I thought to balance the rice. What came was a massive salad with eggs, avocado, raddichio as well as the tomatoes and onion - a meal in itself. When I said it was more than I'd ordered she said 'the chef always likes to give more' or words to that effect. She asked if I wanted bread - I declined but it was brought anyway. I didn't see her again, must have been the end of her shift. When the young waiter brought my risotto, I as still eating the salad. I explained it was more than I'd ordered and he seemed surprised, thinking I'd ordered the avocado salad. He then disappeared and no-one came to the table again to see if all was well until at last I caught the eye of, I believe the owner, to ask for another glass of wine. When I asked for the bill the salad was priced at nearly 14 euros! I said was not going to pay that for what should have been a side salad. I was prepared to pay 7. The waiter disappeared to 'ask the boss'. He returned with a revised bill with exactly the 7 euros for the salad. A long tale about a salad and a grudging response to a complaint. Very disappointing. Other reviews that the owner has replied to repeatedly says how valued they are and how they can learn. No evidence of that it seems to me yet.

We initially came in just for drinks, but ended up ordering the black rice paella because my daughter was hungry, which was absolutely delicious—9/10 on flavor! However, we encountered unexpected pricing issues. The menu showed one price, but the bill charged us per person, making it quite overpriced. They also added extra charges for services, which I had to clarify. After reading other reviews, it seems this happens frequently. Additionally, the staff seemed a bit pushy about ordering plates from the start, which affected the overall experience. Amazing food, but be cautious with the final bill.

NO RECOMENDABLE. Mala comida , mala calidad. Las croquetas nos la pusieron congeladas y después nos la recalentaron, la berenjena en mal estado . Postres malísimos, muy mala calidad. En resumen nada tenía buen sabor. Los platos sucios como se puede apreciar en la foto . El trato fatal y tardaron en atendernos más de 50’ una vez sentados. Y precios medios de 23€ plato . Una vergüenza que con la gran gastronomía que tenemos en cordoba y la gran ubicación que tiene hagan esto con los clientes .

Nuestra experiencia ha sido muy decepcionante. Las patatas bravas estaban completamente crudas y las croquetas congeladas por dentro, algo totalmente inaceptable en un local de hostelería. Era un sitio de confianza al que solíamos venir, pero después de lo ocurrido, no volveremos jamás. La calidad ha bajado muchísimo y el servicio no estuvo a la altura cuando lo comentamos. Una pena perder un lugar que antes nos gustaba, pero no podemos recomendarlo en absoluto.

Platos tibios, recalentados y de poca calidad. Pedimos el bocata de costilla y vino un sandwich de pan bimbo con carne desmigada fría e insípida. Los saquitos de crema de moluscos, también fríos por dentro, con la masa reblandecida por llevar mucho tiempo fritos y emplatados. La salsa que los acompañaba traía una capa de agua por encima como haberse descongelado hace poco. El arroz negro duro, casi inmasticable, recalentado, seco y con almejas con tierra. Pedimos una botella de vino, la trajeron ya abierta y la "sueltan" en la mesa, sin dar a probar ni servir a cada comensal. La cuenta: algo más de 45e por persona. Falta cocina y buen servicio, no lo recomendaría, hay muchas opciones cerca que merecen más la pena.

I came here with my parents, looking to try paella for the first time. When we ordered the seafood paella, the waiter informed us that we had to order two portions minimum for this dish, doubling the already expensive dish. We agreed since we wanted to try it. He then proceeded to pressure us in order 4 portions since he said it wouldn't be enough for all three of us. We said no many times. When the paella came, it was clear that the two portion meal was definitely enough for threw or more. Unfortunately, the rice wasn't cooked at all, so we didn't even eat/finish any of it. I don't know if they were pissed we didn't over order or what, but the food was inedible. Don't water your money here.

Was looking forward to a good dinner but it was one of my most disappointing meal in Spain. The sacs of mollusk cream was delicious to be honest, but there was an entire piece of plastic embedded into the curry mayo. The service crew replace the mayo and re-served whatever's left of the dish. The béchamel sauce was tasty but it wasn't as smooth as it should be. The food was not bad, just that it was not up to expectation, given that the price is slightly higher than what you would find in that area. Didn't feel too good paying for the full sum and the service crew didn't offer any apology about the plastic during the payment. They did offer a free dessert after I expressed discontent about the plastic sheet. But in terms of service recovery, it was all too late. The service crew while enthusiastic, are possibly not very experienced. This restaurant deserves a better review but I cannot bring myself to write one.
