Quick stop eatery with a lovely view of downtown San Diego harbor from Coronado ferry landing. The service was friendly. I had a Greek salad with grilled chicken. My husband had the gyro. Salad was light and refreshing. My chicken had great flavor but slightly dry. Husbands gyro meat was delish. We sat inside but there is outdoor seating

Today, our 4-person birthday group had 2 guests to make 6 well-wishers total to celebrate our precious Beth's birthday!! The 'birthday girl' chose Spiro's and said that it was her favorite place to eat! ✅️ Each person or group must order and pay accordingly at the front counter, but food selections will be delivered to your table after preparation by the use of numbered table flags corresponding to each order number. There is usually a queue line, depending on the time of day. There are tables out in front, inside the restaurant, and on a large outdoor patio in back. You also have the option to sit at the bar and watch a large-screen TV while you have a beverage or a meal. Larger restaurants offer restrooms for their patrons; however, Spiro's on the Coronado Landing customers are directed outside the eatery establishment where they can avail themselves of the Landing's public toilet facilities nearby. Only two of our group had eaten at Spiro's, so they ordered their favorite soup, Avgolemono, but they say it may have been cooked slightly different today. (🤷‍♂️) The 'birthday girl' did say that she thoroughly enjoyed the falafel and the tasty pita chips with her soup while her sister-friend just ordered the soup. Another celebrant enjoyed the fish 'n chips and cole slaw. I also had the excellent fish 'n chips (with sliced tomatoes substituted for the cole slaw)! The other 2 adults enjoyed the picture-perfect fish taco platter and the chicken kabob platter, respectively! Their portion sizes were large so they took to-go boxes home for good eating later! We six each had a fabulous time of fellowship together, and we will certainly return as time and good fortune permits. I had iced tea which was very refreshing! Kudos to the staff and the management of such a lovely place, catering to locals and visitors alike! ✔️💯🔥😁

Nice spot. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was tasty and they have a nice variety, even some non-Greek dishes. Have had takeout a few times but this was my first sit-down visit. Good stuff.

Upon arrival, saw a few indoor seating available, but there were plenty at the outdoor patio area. Decided to sit inside. Our order was placed at the register. Our dish arrived 10-15 minutes later. There was self serve drinking station. Don't expect fast food service at this place. All staff were attentive in picking up dirty dishes and utensils. The shrimp kabob lacked taste, texture and presentation. Maybe it needed to be grilled a little more longer. Seasoning would have been nice. There was Siracha hot sauce available but didn't feel that adding Siracha sauce would boost the shrimp kabob. Salad and fries were fine. This dish was not worth $22 As for the beef dish, it was odd to see it being served in bowl, separated from the rest of dish. This dish was ok. Nice ambience wether sitting indoor our out.

Indoor & outdoor seating with water view. Food comes fast. Ordered spanakopita & side of falafel. Falafel nice fully bean with spices without fillers.

Awesome views from patio. Iced Tea was excellent. Had the Beef and Lamb plates. Fries had no seasoning but rice on other was good. Greek salad and dressing was fantastic. Great spot for quick bite.

As has been said before, food was ok. They basically reutalized the same ingredients for my husband's chicken kabob vs my chicken salad. Tahini sauce was bland but service was nice. Overpriced wine as well. Only difference was I had olives, and he didn't. If you want ok food with a nice view then this would be the place. Oh, PS, no bathroom it's located somewhere close in the plaza I never bothered to investigate.

The prices seemed a little high, but the food was pretty good. The service was friendly and attentive. The location is on beautiful Coronado Island very near the Coronado Ferry landing. There are other restaurants and little shops nearby so it's a great area to eat and do a little shopping.

Great location to look out onto the bay. Go sit on the back porch. The Gyro meat was a little dry for my liking. Also the Gyro was packed full of meat! They do have a kids menu and wine! I’ve had better Mediterranean but can’t beat the location. Also very affordable.

My wife and I had a late lunch recently that consisted of chicken kabob and lamb kabob plates plus drinks. Food was very good at reasonable prices and service was friendly and efficient. Enjoyed the great views of San Diego while seating outside in their patio. We will be back when in the area.

I'd like to commend the staff member who took my order for their exceptional service and friendly demeanor. Sadly, the meal that followed did not meet my expectations - the chicken was cold, with certain parts being tough, and the rice was also served cold. As a long-standing customer who has dined here intermittently over the years, I was particularly disappointed with my recent experience.

I used to be a regular customer to Spiro’s when I worked in Coronado and it was a fantastic place from service, food, atmosphere…etc. I went there yesterday and things have changed drastically. Delay in service, food (particularly gyros and chicken) was dry, and the place was kinda dark. On top of that, they charged 3% credit card fees on total bill, including taxes and tips.

I mean ya can't beat the location. Ordered a Greek burger, wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked, and it came out hard as a rock, dry as a bone. I could have driven nails with it. My buddy's fish tacos seemed ok, the hummus was hummus in name only, just a flavorless beige paste. Would not return; kind of baffling a place with such afterthoughtty food is operating in a prime location in a bougey area like this. Waitress was entirely nice and although things came out slowly given how slow it was and how poorly cooked they were, she is not to blame for these ratings, wish her all the best.
