My mother and I arrived in Corpus Christi from San Antonio via California for the Selena museums tour, memorial statue, and grave. On the last night tonight we decided to eat at Landry’s Seafood House for some wonderful seafood. When we arrived we were greeted by a nice hostess, and the atmosphere felt cozy and amazing! Our waitress Kristen was an amazing person, and knew exactly all the menu items and had the best recommendations! For us! I ordered the special Almond Crusted Mahi Mahi with avocado, and pico de gallo, freshly made, and it was delicious. My mother ordered the Salmon Melissa, which was also fresh and had amazing flavor. For dessert we tried and key lime pie and the Banana Fritters! Which were to die for! The manager also came by and asked how we loved the food which was courteous and professional. Our waitress Kristen had a great personality and came over to make sure our food got here on time, when in Texas go big I always say! The hospitality and comfort of the Texans is one thing that I am happy for when traveling, where people are kind to one another and enjoy getting to know and communicate with one another on a personal level. It was by far the best southern hospitality, food, location and people that made it a wonderful experience! If you come to Landry’s ask for Kristen she is the best!

Went here with my partner and daughter for her birthday and every thing was amazing! Got the calamari and oysters to start and they were delicious 😋. We split the coastal seafood pasta and I highly recommend it. If you come here, definitely ask for Ben! The service was wonderful. And an extra thanks to Michaela and Chef Ben as well. 😊

Landry's was the experience we've been looking for our whole vacation. The food was delicious. My fiance ordered the Swordfish and I had the Penne Alfredo. Our waiter, Andres described everything to a tee before we ordered. We ordered Mocktails that were just as flavorful with fresh raspberries. Andres knew just how to describe the desserts to make us want them. Greatest experience! Not to mention the view was superb.

Excellent service, Kaitlyn was awesome! She gave us suggestions and wow, fire grilled oysters were crazy good! We ordered clam chowder, best I've ever had, and the salad was fresh and delicious. The snapper had the Melissa topping on it with scallops and shrimp and save room for dessert because they have cinnamon bread pudding with a scoop of ice cream and bananas foster! Highly recommend eating there!

Our server, Ella, was absolutely lovely—so hospitable and knowledgeable—she guided us through the menu and made us feel like we’d been regulars for years. The restaurant itself is a quirky, picturesque spot: an actual boat docked right on the waterfront, gently (very, very gentle) bobbing as you dine, with panoramic bay views surrounding you—truly a dining-on-the-water experience that’s hard to beat. It’s not just about the food—it’s the ambiance too: stunning setting, gentle sway of the water, breezy docks—chefs-kiss gorgeous. A little background: this unique floating restaurant has been moored at Corpus Christi Marina, offering those captivating waterfront views for decades. It’s become one of the city’s “Neighborhood Gems,” melding Gulf-Coast cuisine with laid-back vibes, and even snagging a Diners’ Choice Award and “Most Booked” status. On to the star of my meal - the Crawfish Étouffée. It arrived in a generous portion that could’ve easily served two. I ate all I could, but I’m thrilled I get to take the rest home to Houston - so good, it doubled as dinner and tomorrow’s lunch. We came in after reading glowing reviews that emphasized the food - totally deserved—but I’d also shine a spotlight on two equally stellar parts of the experience: the ambiance - with the gentle sway of the boat and the harbor glowing around you—and the service, is what has me writing this novel. Huge thanks to Ella and the team for making it feel so personal and welcoming. If you’re passing through Corpus Christi and you want seafood, atmosphere, and service all wrapped into one unforgettable outing, set sail for Landry’s Seafood you’ll feel like part of the family.

Our food was amazing! Forbes, our server was the best we’ve ever had. He was very attentive and made an excellent suggestion for my entree. Thank you to all the managers that stopped to ask how we were doing even though they were very busy, Jacob stopped by to see how everything was and we had a nice conversation with him as well. I just can’t say enough of what an enjoyable experience we had. Ask for Forbes when you come, he will take excellent care of you!

One of the best food experiences that I have had. The AGM, Kay, immediately greeted us with warmth and welcome as we sat with our party. She accommodated our gluten & dairy free friend with an appropriate menu. Our server Wade was kind and funny, paying attention to every detail of our meal. I would definitely recommend requesting him. Lastly, the food was amazing. Everything came out fresh and hot and overly met everyone’s expectations.

Dinner at Landry’s comes with immediate charm: a slightly vintage maritime aesthetic and one of the best waterfront views in Corpus Christi. Through the windows, you see exactly what you hope to taste — freshness from the Gulf. The clam chowder set the tone. I had expected a bread bowl (it isn’t served that way, as the server kindly clarified), but presentation wasn’t the issue. The texture was noticeably thin, the bacon overpowered the cream base, and there was an excess of potato that muted the clam flavor. Not terrible — just far from memorable. The salmon was more disappointing. We were advised one preparation but received the maple-glazed version instead of the simpler fresh catch. The sweetness dominated, which felt misplaced for seafood meant to highlight natural salinity. Across the table, much of the food leaned heavily fried — crispy, yes, but lacking the brightness and freshness you anticipate when dining by the water. Service was polite, and the cookie dessert was adequate. Still, if you only have one night to choose a seafood spot in Corpus Christi, this likely wouldn’t be mine. The view is the highlight; the kitchen doesn’t quite rise to it.

The food was great! Whoever was cooking back there made my husband and son’s steaks perfectly rare. My redfish was so good that what i couldn’t finish… my husband and sons did. Our waiter Will was awesome. The restaurant itself was a mediocre fancy. We felt under dressed and perfectly dressed all at the same time. We would eat here again.

It's a Landry's, on a boat—kinda neat, same food, solid but standard experience. They have a full menu, featuring all the favorites, along with white linen table service and excellent seafood. There is nothing about this restaurant that will blow your mind, but you do feel like you're getting a good meal, service, and value for your dollar. The houseboat itself feels dated, but it is a boat. The service was friendly; they made a mistake or two, but the great demeanor made up for it. Timely and attentive service always goes a long way. The restaurant was quiet, but we had eaten earlier in the evening. For seafood in the Downtown area, I think it's hard to go wrong with this restaurant; don't expect to be wowed by anything unexpected.

Saturday lunch with family for my cousins birthday unfortunately the best immediate thing for the entire table was our drinks. We each individually had overcooked food from shrimp, steak, to salmon. Alongside dishes like gumbo that simply tasted like gravy. Service was subpar the waiter refilled some drinks while leaving others empty throughout the entire encounter. I had to send my first salmon dish back as it was extremely overcooked and I’m still not sure if the croquette contained gluten which he ensured me none of the dish did. My second dish was much better only slightly undercooked. The manager came by and did apologize to us for the inconvenience. Overall great place to go for drinks and a salad wouldn’t go for entrees.

I find it hard to believe that Fertitta signed off on this menu, or at a minimum signed off on someone that’s in charge of this menu. The Landry’s name used to mean something more. Highlighting a trash fish like tilapia as your feature is deplorable. Being on the gulf coast and serving farm raised shrimp and catfish is an abomination to the “seafood” industry. I just couldn’t bring myself to order what I would’ve liked to, so I had the seafood gumbo. I tasted butter, burnt flour, and farm raised shrimp. The seafood pasta my wife had reminded us both of Campbell’s canned noodles mixed with mediocre seafood. She ordered a raspberry lemon drop. It was about 3/4 of what it should’ve been in volume, but a decent mix. The positives, and ONLY REASON I’m not giving this a 1 star rating: the oysters on the 1/2 shell were great, and Vanessa as a server was outstanding. I don’t recommend this place, unless McDonald’s is closed.

What a disappointment. Got seated and waited for a waitress. Totally ignored by two waitresses at nearby tables. Finally left and went somewhere else.
