This was my second time coming here. It was an amazing time. I’ve been led to believe the announcer is a sponsor for depends, and there was a man in a rugby shirt who had no clue what was going on.
I went to beer yoga there tonight and had a great time. Then I had dinner with my brother there. I ordered the chicken tacos. The chicken was extremely dry and overcooked. I’ve had these tacos before and they were good. My brother said his pulled pork sandwich was excellent. We enjoyed being there.
Awesome BBQ and great brewery! Love the beer hall and the outdoor area!
I went there for the first time and I was with my friends from the art center and we all brought our paintings there to sell and for artists to get ribbons for best paintings there. I went second time and we all had a great time there and it's people friendly and they also also welcome people bring their pets there. I brought my service dog Rocky with me and he enjoyed being there. Their food is good, not the best, but good.
Nueces is one of the best breweries of the area. They have great food and the beer is top notch. The location is super cool with lots of seating inside and they are very dog friendly like most of the area. It is a must stop for every visit to the Corpus Christi area.
Nueces Brewing didn’t just quench my thirst. It quenched my soul. Will I be back? Like a seagull to a french fry—yes. Bar-b-que, Beer or Wine….lets dine! Bingo nights are also the bomb!!
Food was amazing 10/10. And that’s the ONLY reason I gave it a 5 Star Service 3/5. Employees inattentive, uncaring and messed up our order and had thought to setup for trash outside as the wind blew our small paper towels and lids away when we were not paying direct attention to them.
Plenty of seating, great view of the ocean, parking is tricky, but there's plenty of space if you're willing to walk. The beer selection was good and the quality was great! The food was alright, but it's bar food.
Great place right down town. Good food and drink.
The friendliest ppl around great beers 🍻 and atmosphere was amazing 😍
One of the better taprooms I’ve come across. This crew really put a lot of thought into the design of Nueces. Lots of seating and room to grow. The bathrooms are well thought out and big (which seems like a wise choice). The staff was friendly. They kept coming out from behind the bar to check on patrons; and not just to grab pint glasses. I suspect that when busy they’ll be less able to do that but it a fantastic touch when they can do it. We liked the Original 001 (Mexican lager) and Brown Ale 001.
Cleanest restroom in town. Took me almost an hour, but i dropped a mondo duke and cleared the room. Oh, they also serve decent beer.
First time here… everything was awesome! The only thing missing? A few more creative cuss words and savage bartender roasts from the bingo caller — I came for bingo, but I stayed hoping for verbal combat.
AMAZING BBQ! finally a place in Corpus Christi that is an equal to Franklin’s or Killen’s BBQ! If you’re tired of dry leather being sold as BBQ Nueces is the place! I had the ribs and brisket 2 meat platter, served in butcher paper like it should be. Sauce has a hint of coffee and pepper...delicious. The brisket: tore it with my fork. My buddy had the two meat with both lean and marbled, his were the same, moist, tender. The sides held their own, corn cup was as good as as any street corn I’ve ever had. Just the right amount of spice and Mexican cheese. I could make a meal of that alone. The beans have chunks of pork and and a heartiness not typical in run of the mill bbq joints. I WILL BE BACK! PS my dogs loved the deck!
This place is great! Customer service was on point and the bbq hit the spot. We had a small function there, the staff had everything ready including a cute note on the table. Well def be back!
This place is amazing. Great beer great Texas barbecue friendly atmosphere and they let me bring my well-behaved dogs!
Great atmosphere, family friendly. Good food and beers. Would recommend.
Walked into Nueces Brewing and BBQ expecting a meal… left questioning why I ever ate anywhere else. The brisket is so tender it whispered secrets to me. The beer? Cold enough to make my ex look warm-hearted. Atmosphere? Like a Texas tailgate party married a beer garden and had beautiful, smoky babies. And the announcer? A comedic wizard who could hype up a potato. I laughed, I ate, I drank — I may have legally married a pulled pork sandwich. 10/10 would get BBQ-drunk again.
If you like brisket, swing by. If you like beer, swing by. If you like being comfortable, avoid the third Thursday of every month.
We had brisket and sausage at the location. Meat was so soft and it fell apart. Very good. Would definitely visit again.
Yesterday we finally went in to see and I was surprised by how big and nice it was, everyone was very friendly, the BBQ food and the IPA beers were very good, the atmosphere was good to be with family or friends. I recommend you try the ribs or the brisket with some beers or sangria and let me know how it went.
Update. Ok so 12 bucks for a small glass of cider is highway crime robbery talk about a bad suprise. But other then that the food is Awesome place to grab a bite to eat and prices are pretty good. The atmosphere is very welcoming with tons of art that can be purchased. The owner is also very friendly and helpful. I ordered the spud. It had brisket that was delicious and there sauce is pretty sweet. The beer selection is filled with plenty of choices to choose from. I will definitely go back to try other options
Great food, great, beer, great prices! Came on a day trip to CC and stopped here for lunch. Highly recommend the brisket sammie and a flight of beer. Just enough to feel good but not stuffed and gross. You won’t regret stopping here!
Ordered two flights, #1-8. Every beer was amazing! Inside and nice and cool, very spacious seating and room for big groups. Staff is friendly, and on point with their suggestions. Great place to stop, and try some solid local craft beers. We didn’t order any food, though the tables around us did… and it looked amazing! Can’t go wrong stopping here for a cold one.
I love Nueces Brewery for so many reasons. One, their beer is really good. Two, their barbecue is extremely good. It’s kid and pet friendly, and just a vibe. Local art hangs on the walls, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and it’s clean and cozy. I also love that they were part of the uprising of downtown Corpus Christi, joining the revitalization effort of my beloved City. I’ve had the brisket, pork ribs, and the elote (corn) cup is a 10 out of 10 recommend. If you enjoy beer, barbecue, and cool places to chill then you’ll love Nueces Brewery. You can also enjoy their brews at most of the good bars around Corpus Christi. And take a growler or some cans to go (pro tip).
I Came for the Beer, Stayed for the Bingo, and Ascended During the BBQ Let me paint you a picture: I walked into Nueces Brewing Company a mere mortal — thirsty, hungry, and emotionally fragile. I left a spiritual being infused with brisket, beer, and bingo-induced adrenaline. First off, the beer? Liquid gold. I took one sip of their IPA and instantly forgot the names of all my exes. Smooth, flavorful, and hoppy enough to make a kangaroo jealous. If the taps were any fresher, they’d be doing CrossFit and talking about it. Now, let’s talk BBQ. I ordered the brisket and I swear it was so tender, I considered proposing to it. The smoke ring on that meat had more character development than most Netflix series. I cried. I wept. I briefly believed in reincarnation just so I could come back and eat it again. And then... bingo night. Oh sweet, chaotic bingo. The stakes were high, the crowd was rowdy, and I yelled “BINGO” with such passion a bald eagle flew overhead and saluted me. At one point, a guy named Dale won a round and screamed like he just discovered fire. It was electric. The staff? Friendlier than your grandma after two glasses of wine. The atmosphere? Like a backyard barbecue married a brewery and invited all the fun people to the reception. In short, Nueces Brewing Company is the holy trinity of beer, BBQ, and bingo. If you're not going, you're making poor life choices. I'll be back next week — wearing stretchy pants and emotionally prepared to love again. Amen, brisket. Amen.
Nueces is our favorite brewery in town. It has a great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. It's spacious and clean inside with plenty of seating, and the same goes for their outdoor patio. Best of all, they're DOG FRIENDLY both inside and outside. Their food is delicious. They don't always have brisket tamales, but I always get them when they do. Lastly, their beer is wonderful. We always get the Supremo or the Supremo Melon when they have it.
Absolutely fantastic food. There were several of us there and everyone loved what they ordered. We are visiting from Conroe but will return next time we are in Corpus!!
Tonight, we visited this brewery and barbecue joint that apparently decided regular dining was too predictable and said, “You know what this brisket needs? Bingo.” And honestly? I respect the chaos. Bingo is usually held on the 3rd Thursday of the month. The beer list is long enough to require a table of contents, which I appreciated because nothing pairs better with smoked meats than a mild identity crisis over whether you’re an IPA person or lager or wine. They even have a delicious spiked seltzer. And then… bingo. There is something deeply humbling about clutching a dabber with sauce-stained fingers while intensely listening for B-12 like it’s the winning lottery number. One minute you’re debating hop profiles, the next you’re silently judging Doris at the next table for winning her third round. The prizes ranged from “quirky brewery merch” to great beer and the grand prize is a brisket! The atmosphere was the perfect blend of laid-back brewery vibes and competitive retirement home energy. Strangers bonded. Enemies were made. Someone definitely yelled “BINGO” half a second too early and was socially exiled. It was beautiful. In summary: come for the beer, stay for the brisket, and prepare to discover that you are way more competitive about bingo than you ever intended to be. Five stars. Would absolutely risk barbecue sauce on a bingo card again.
If this place isn't heaven.... First off the BBQ, the brisket was delicious (don't mind the picture my wife took a chunk), very moist and well done. The ribs and sausage were also very well done. You didn't get much meat on the combo but it was enough to try them. The beer was decent as well. I tried the Devil's Bock and the El Viejo Loco. The Loco was very...and I mean very heavy on the rum barrel, maybe a little too much but still drinkable. Would go back
The brisket nachos were great!!! I highly recommend stopping here next time you are in the area!! They are very friendly and fast service. Very clean and well kept!! This will be my new lunch spot!!
Yesterday I finally had a chance to do lunch at Nueces Brewing Company and now I can't wait to go back! It was Taco Tuesday so I had the Street Tacos (with incredible Brisket), and a craft brew (Supremo), for just ten dollars. The brisket was soo tender and flavorful. My partner had the famous Nachos, also with Brisket and it was mostly gone, but I got a bite. Huge portion too. We also got a soft pretsel with beer cheese..cuz c'mon! lol We sat at the bar and the service was excellent too. I wanted to go back today because they do 50 cent smoked wings on Wednesday from I think 3 - 8 or something, (but couldn't get away from work) but I'm going next Wednesday! Pictures below. You'll have to see for yourself why there is a lemon in a pitcher of water on the bar. LOL
The beers here are easy for beer drinkers of all varieties to enjoy. The Citra IPA had a nice crisp citrus flavor, without the hops being overbearing. The dunkel had a nice deep profile to it. The space is open and easy to find a comfortable spot to admire the local artwork, and the proximity to the water is prime.
Listen, I went into Nueces Brewing Co. just hoping for a beer… and left questioning every life choice I’ve ever made. The beer was so good I’m pretty sure my taste buds started a small mariachi band in celebration. The brisket? I can’t prove it, but I think it whispered, “You’re home now.” I’ve decided to name my firstborn “Nueces” in honor of this establishment. If heaven has a taproom, this is it. 10/10, would sell my cousin’s Xbox to drink here again.
This is one cool spot. It’s wide open seating and a great location close to the water. The food was superb. The menu is fairly simple which is kind of refreshing. They have standard bbq options with some cool bbq variations. The smoke point was on point with all dishes. The dishes are straight forward, but if you get the corn in the cup stir that sucker up. It’s a layered dish so a lot of the flavor is at the bottom. The bbq sauce has a chili base so it’s got some spice. All the dishes that aren’t a straight forward bbq option have some bit of spiciness to it. The beer was refreshing. They have some standard brews and a few interesting creations. The 5400 is an awesome creation that blends an amber and IPA. They serve their beer to go in larger bomber cans which was a cool option. The ordering and operation can be a bit confusing though. You can order through a QR code, beverage only though. The menus are at the bar which where you order. They bring you your food to your table. No servers. They are fairly quick to pick up used plates and glasses. The place was pretty busy but they were very quick when the food and drinks. That is rare at a place like this, artisan food and drinks. When I go back I will get the 1/2 lbs of marble brisket with a side of the corn.
I brought my parents here while visiting in town, it was also my first time, and we were very impressed. Quick service, the food came out quick, the prices were reasonable on top of it all. Bathrooms were also clean. The “Catch Me if You Can,” The “Winter Texan,” and the “Original Lager” were table favorites.
This is a must if you come to Corpus Christi. The brisket and ribs are the best I've had in a very long time. They offer meat by the pound, but you can also get it in sandwiches, tacos or quesadillas if you prefer. The beer selection is great too. I tried 3 different kinds and they were all good. On top of that, very nice view from the outdoor terrace and the price are very reasonable.
My supervisor warned me the brisket nachos were huge. So I asked if they could just put less chips, like half, on the plate. I ate a few and decided to weed out the rest of the chips because it was too much. I finished off the toppings, mostly. It was tasty but I miss Bea's take on Brisket Nachos. She would put about a dozen large tortilla chips topped with refried beans, large chunks of brisket, and (on mine) light lettuce, jalapeños, extra tomatoes and onions and fresh grated cheese on top of that. Then she warmed them until the cheese melted. I was spoiled by those nachos. So good. My only suggestion for Nueces Brewing Company is to offer a smaller portion. I know a lot of restaurants think they have to serve a massive portion of everything but, sometimes, less is more.
Friendly spot to stop for a tasty flight of their brews. Food is good and plates are abundant. My brisket was somewhat dry or reheated. The pork rib was moist and tasted freshly cooked for lunch. There were no guests on a sunny weekday so I was lucky with parking. I would return to taste all their beers, there were 11 on the list!
For lunch on a weekday it was pretty fast to get food out. Service was great. Plenty of seating inside and out. Many beer options and the bbq was a good touch. Corn was a bit too limey. Potato salad made up for it and the sliced sandwich was my fav. The mac had too much going on for my liking but adding some bbq over it helped.
Cool atmosphere! Their citramatic IPA was okay. Really liked the peanut butter stout! BBQ was delicious. Tried brisket & pulled pork with elote & beans. Brisket was superior to the pulled pork which was a little dry. Wish portions were bigger. Spent $50 for just myself with no leftovers.
The pros: spacious parking, plenty of seating, clean, great atmosphere, quick service, good beer The cons: the food was decent but the portions of the sides and meat were super small! Also, the hot Barbeque sauce tastes like vinegar. Overall, I loved the space and my husband and I give the food a 6.9/10.
I really loved this place! The atmosphere was incredible and the food and drinks were even better. We got a whole flight of beers (the Hefeweizen, the Pangosa, the Belgian trippel, and the black lager) and I really enjoyed each one despite their differences. The BBQ was also great. The meat portions were a little small but the tacos and nachos were incredible. The only issue besides the small meat portions were that the system here was a little confusing. The meal didn’t come with any BBQ sauce at all so we assumed there wasn’t any. Only after we finished our meal (and enjoyed it) did we discover that there was a whole condiment bar tucked away with sauces and pickles. It would have been really great to have known that after or while we were ordering since it was our first time (and we told them as much while ordering). Besides that small quibble everything else was great.
Found this on my 4th annual trip to Corpus Christi… had no idea it was here and so close to Shoreline Drive. Great little brewery their IPA was tasty as was their Mac n Cheese side and their BBQ Chicken Sandwich. Hungry? Looking for a place with a great vibe, some good beers and food and a close walk to the bay to walk it off then this is your place!
The corn was delicious! They should sell the sauce on top!! The food was good overall but wish the meat was a little more seasoned. Turkey was spot on but the brisket and pork lacked just a little. We don’t drink beer so don’t try it. Cider was good. Sangria not the best especially since it has ice and was watered down. Overall, worth a stop if you’re hungry!
Over all the food was pretty good. I wasn’t expecting the gumbo to be as good when it was delivered but the flavor was really good and not too spicy. The turkey and pork in the tacos didn’t really have that BBQ smokiness but the flavor was still really good. The green beans were very tasty which also something that was unexpected. There is plenty of seating with picnic like tables inside.
I had the brisket street tacos and green beans. Tacos were filling and pretty darn good. The green beans were very tasty. The bar staff was very approachable and knowledgeable of the menu. The delivery staff had no clue who ordered what items. The atmosphere is comfortable but the benches are not. I’m really happy with the wine selection. ALL TEXAS WINES! Thank you for supporting local.
I am giving it three stars because the place was nice and clean. However, the portion of the food was huge disappointment. I ordered the 2 meats & 2 sides. It was two little sliced of brisket and 1 piece of rib. Unfortunately, I the place hungry. Was expecting better considering the reviews says this place is good or the best bbq in town.
The food the service was good but I didn't know it was pet friendly and as dog owner for the last 13 years I don believe't in taken my dog to certain places like a store or a restaurant that crossing the line that just my opinion and for that reason I will not return to this place again that only my opinion
Food was mid. For 22 bucks u can get 2 ribs enough pulled pork for 1 sandwich, and 2 ice cream scoop sized sides. That doesn't seem right, right? PBS was the nastiest thing I've drank in a while. The only redeeming quality of this "restaurant" was the bartenders. Otherwise, the place was a joke.
First time at this establishment. A little pricey for average quality. Had the brisket, sausage, ribs, mac and cheese, coleslaw, potato salad, street corn (I think that's what it's called). Over atmosphere was a little loud but tolerable. Brisket was ok. Just had a little too much fat for me. Bit into the ribs were just too salty. Let much of it behind. mac & cheese and coleslaw were bland. The potato salad was average. Could have used more pickles and onion to give it some flavor. Didn't eat the corn, because it was too spicy for me. Very good customer service. I might come back if I return to CC. Might limit what I get based on this experience.
As always, I have to start my review with the fact that they have a 3% credit card surcharge. That's B.S. in my opinion - I'll leave it at that. We ordered the 2 meat and 2 sides for $22. It was turkey, brisket, potato salad, and mac & cheese. The beer selection is really good, but the bbq is just so-so. I'd go back, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. It's a fun place to hang out on a weekend afternoon - the 3% surcharge really turns me off though.
This place is great if you love beer and want a great variety, the atmosphere is very basic and open with nothing flashy or eye catching/entertaining. Would be nice if there were a few TVs at least showing some sports. The food is nothing great very mid/average, I've had better BBQ at Rudy's BBQ. They also ran out of Brisket which is a joke, what BBQ place runs out of Brisket smh. Overall its a decent place if you enjoy a cold beer and don't really care too much for the quality of the food. Just my honest opinion, try it out for yourself.
The atmosphere is a backyard wooden bench setting but inside which is nice. A good selection and wide enough menu to offer many options. Service was nice. The bbq. Mediocre. My brisket was pretty dry with parts of it being so dry it was hard. The bark of the brisket just peeled off and had little flavor. The price was a bit much for the food. Would I come back? To drink and get maybe a sandwich.
BBQ was kinda dry and the portions seemed small. The BBQ sauce was actually really good and the service was nice.
Like whataburger, you order at the register and the order is delivered to your table, shared picnic tables. The nachos were really good, although 'thrown' together. With 2 meats, I received 1 Rib, which I sent back, between the bones is where the meat is. Pulled pork was mediocre and without sauce had to add that. Potato salad had overpowering curry, pinto beans had no flavoring at all. My daughter reported that the mac'n'cheeae was 'Velveeta like'. Beers, original lager and hefeweizen were good. Ok
Great service, good beer (I had the Mexican lager) and ok BBQ was our experience. The staff was very friendly and fast. Beer selection is quite good. Mexican lager was very well made with good body, superb clarity, & nice finish. Garlic sausage highly recommended. Brisket was tender & juicy but lacking in bark. Turkey my wife had was tender but bland. Elote, pinto beans, and potato salad sides were outstanding. Nice vibe. Give this place a try if you are near downtown.
Indoor and outdoor seating available. I had the smoked turkey with green beans and pinto beans. My husband had the brisket and garlic sausage with elote and potato salad. The turkey was moist but tasteless. The green beans were tasteless. The pinto beans were delicious and had a slight spice level to them. The garlic sausage was delicious. The brisket was moist and good but light on the bark. The elote and pasta salad were good. Limited parking - small lot.
Good service and staff. Nice atmosphere. Food tasted great, but the low rating is for portion size for the price. 1 small rib and a small sausage link for over $20 is pretty ridiculous. Sides were small as well. I get costs are up, but I'm highly disappointed that they think the serving sizes are acceptable for the cost.
This was our first time visiting this place. Plenty of parking outside. Plenty of seating inside. Atmosphere was chill, place was clean, and the staff was friendly. However, chicken and pork was very cold and dry. Brisket in tacos was also dry. Brisket in 3 meat place was flavorful and moist. BBQ sauce is really good. Perhaps we caught them at a bad time. We will definitely be back to try this place again.
Brisket very dry and had a bad flavor;potato salad so,so I guess..Diversity0.0;parking lot needs lighting not safe too dark and pot holes as we walked out to our vehicle are a tripping hazard..unsafe. ..very clean restrooms, though no toilet paper.. restaurant not for us .Response from owner in itselfs is whom they are here.
