Just wow, some of the best sushi in Orange County! We start with cucumber salad which was fresh, crunchy, and just the right amount of pickling. And the rolls we ordered were so good, super fresh and well prepared.

This place is the perfect confluence of, price, quality, and locality for me. Solid Sushi at the prices asked, and not once have I had an issue here. Is it Michelin star, of course not. But the fish is fresh and well prepared, with excellent and accommodating service. If you are in the area, or live in the area this is very much worth a stop for a great local Sushi place.

This is the best sushi place I have found in Costa Mesa. The sushi chef is so talented and generous. He made us some special sauces for our humongous order of food. It was all so delicious and appreciated by my family. The Toro is next level. Everything is just so fresh delicious and better than what you would expect. We have been coming here for a few years and love bringing friends to this gem

Absolutely love Sushi District! The food is great and very reasonably priced. I got the seaweed salad and cucumber roll, which were both delicious. The service was excellent with extremely attentive servers, and the restaurant itself has a welcoming, intimate atmosphere.

Good sushi at a great price. But what will bring us back is definitely the service. Miguel and Vera were outstanding and very attentive. Recommend this spot

By far the best spicy garlic edamame I've had. It's special. If you get it, get a rice dish to soak up the extra marinade. Asahi on draught. Quality/clean food at excellent prices. Attentive/quick service. Neighborhood gem.

Very good Nigiri, very good rolls, atmosphere is fun, they have low sodium soy sauce, prices are reasonable, no fishy smell.

Amazing quality! My husband was blown away by the quality of the chirashi bowl! I got the bento with spicy pork and tempera both were terrific too. Highly recommend. Next time we will dine in - place was busy and very cozy inside.

One of my favorite sushi restaurants in the area because of the value. This restaurant is the place to go if you want to eat a lot of sushi for a great price. I highly recommend the crispy rice with spicy tuna and honestly can’t go wrong with any of their rolls.

Great experience tonight. We had a bigger group with a bunch of kids, and they were very accommodating and patient. Food was great, as was the service. I’m not much of a sushi guy myself so I got the sesame chicken with rice and gyoza, and both were fantastic. My family all said the rolls they ordered were amazing, and they all loved them. Parking was easy with plenty of open spots.

This sushi was so good! They had many options and some were more expensive than others, but I would definitely come back to try more in the area.

It's a decent little spot. I have been here twice, and the food is groovy, but I haven't had anything to write home about on the menu. Pricing is fair, service is friendly and fast, and the chefs I've experienced have great knife work and attention to detail. Sushi District is ideal for a quick sushi date, or scratching the itch for that tasty raw fish. I'll be back. Stay Groovy.

However, the appetizers tasted better than the sushi itself. I felt like the quality of the fish was not good; the tuna wasn’t fresh and the texture was off putting. The sushi rice was too loose and made eating it more difficult. The pricing seemed decent for the area and their lunch sets seem like a good deal, but I can’t say I highly recommend it. Their non-fish items were much tastier.

We went here for dinner. The atmosphere and service for dinner was okay at best, but I was mostly surprised at the incredible blandness of the flavors. We ordered four different rolls and I'm not sure what's worse: that there were no distinguishing differences in flavor between them or that there was almost no flavor at all. Have you tried bland sushi rolls, because I now have, and I don't recommend it. Drowning the rolls in soy sauce helped me for a minute by at least bringing some umami flavor, but that works only for a couple of bites and then you're overwhelmed with the soy sauce's saltiness. I don't know, maybe every single one of their chefs just happened to not be there that night, or something else crazy happened, but I'm not going to go back to find out. This is probably the harshest review I've ever written, but honesty none of it is untrue. I only didn't give one star because technically I did receive goods/services.
