I usually stop by East Borough for their shaken beef bánh mì, and today I discovered something amazing next door at V-Italy restaurant. Their iced caramel latte with oatmilk is honestly one of the best I’ve ever had in my whole life 😆 Iced Caramel Macchiato. Iced Caramel Macchiato I originally wanted to order an iced caramel macchiato, but since it wasn’t on the menu, I tried the iced caramel latte instead — and it turned out even better than expected. Perfect balance of coffee, caramel, and creamy oatmilk. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Loved having my daughters baby shower here it was the best day, great food and wonderful service!! We thank you Barbara and your team!! You were all awesome!!
The food was delicious and so was the coffee. The staff was very kind, and you definitely have to try their gelatos, they have so many flavors and they’re all amazing!
I just stumbled upon Vitaly in Costa Mesa while getting my car tires fixed next door and decided to stop in for a matcha green tea and get some work done on my computer. What a great find! The place is super clean, well-organized, and has a relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to focus. Manel was incredibly helpful and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I’m really glad I found this spot and will definitely be coming back soon for dinner. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
Vitaly is Love, Vitaly is home!! I adore the changing menu. I've been coming here for years to enjoy the fresh pasta, it's amazing! I had the squid ink pasta and it was perfection! I love all the desserts, the coffee, and the service! All of it! Whenever I'm in the area this is my go-to spot. As always it costs zero dollars to be kind...So be nice! The owner is passionate about the food menu he curates and always offers recommendations. Listen to him! You won't regret it.
Very cute restaurant located at The Camp. Service was great with friendly waitstaff, and the food was yummy. I dined with a friend who is on a strict gluten free diet, and she was happy to find discover that Vitaly had tons of gluten free options on their menu! Looking forward to trying some gelato next time.
Family owned delicious food nice flavored sauces for the pasta Friendly staff Cute environment ~> If you like my review please press follow on my google profile. If you are the owner and you’re responding to my review and saying thank you please thank me by following me on Google. Thanks Bali Sky
Cozy little gem 💎 in OC!!! If you are in a mood to catch up with a friend over coffee and some nicely made snacks, this is the place to be. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Look is quite rustic. Service is decent. Their coffee is delicious specially cappuccino and latte.
I had just a coffee here, and it was good. The barista knows her book. The pizza looks attractive , too. They have a very inventive pricing for coffees — I’d love to understand the logic behind it.
Lovely Italian restaurant that has covered outdoor patio seating with a firepit and heaters. Great food, including gluten-free pasta and the delicious pinsa, and several desserts like pastries and gelato. Very nice ambiance! We enjoy coming here.
This is one of the most relaxing spaces I've been for breakfast. Beautiful fountains and greenery all around. 🌵🌱⛲ Excellent food. Fast and friendly service.
Great Italian style caffé in The Camp. The Flat White and Cappuccino were excellent. I really enjoyed my Cassone Nettuno breakfast flatbread and my partner had the soup and half sandwich from the lunch menu. The servers were pleasant and attentive, and Vitaly was not crowded at all at 9:30 in the morning on a Saturday.
Cute little cafe restaurant at the Camp. Great vibes with an outdoorsy atmosphere. Great Food! The menu is pretty extensive with lots of options!
I absolutely LOVE this place. Been coming here since they opened for the great ambiance, Best chocolate vegan gelato ever, gluten free options, and the list goes on! Maurizio has consistently put his heart & soul into what he does; which you can see & taste it in every dish. The staff are kind & efficient. I’m clearly a huge fan of this place & highly recommend! I just wish the CAMP would find a better solution to the parking situation during high volume hours so I can get to the food faster 😅🤷🏻♀️
AMAZING! We had a waitress who was absolutely fantastic. She could pronounce everything perfectly. I actually mistook her for the manager because she was that great. I had the special of squid ink pasta. Do not be afraid, it was unbelievably amazing! I also had several samples of gelato. 10/10. I will be going back.
Tortellini was delicious!! Very authentic handmade pasta. Gabriele creates a very inviting atmosphere to the place.
I’m not too familiar with the area but we were out shopping and the kids wanted gelato around 7pm. By chance, this was open so we walked around Camp and found Vitaly and we’re incredibly pleased! The entire area is so cute and Instagrammable if you’re into that. There’s a cute little seating area with a fireplace and the menu looked amazing as well!
We had the garden salad with chicken. It was a generous portion and their lemon dressing was delicious. Very nice staff!
Great food and drinks! The service was attentive, but not intrusive. Perfect!
It was a great little place with great Italian food and the gelato is out of this world
Lorenzo took great care of our table. He was friendly, knew the menu really well, and was very attentive (checking in on us periodically, but not the point where we felt uncomfortable). *Side note for his manager/ owner: as a business owner, It’s hard to find a server that truly cares for their guests, as well as their workplace. * We came straight from the airport and enjoyed a nice time and breakfast on the patio. The party of 3 had avo toasts, salads, and mimosas. The place is really cute. They have tables inside with AC or outside if you want to enjoy some fresh air and people watching. Bring your book, a laptop, come on a date, or simply enjoy a good time with friends, Vitaly’s got it all! Next time we come we have to make room for their gelato. Grazie!
Great little low key spot I just happened upon! Haven’t tried their gelato but the waffle with whipped cream was great as well as the coffee. Very cool spot setup in “The Camp” with an outdoor patio as well as indoor seating. Lots of other cool shops and places to eat around it. Definitely worth stopping by!
Vitaly fits into the overall flow of The Camp and brings joy to the whole experience. It has a low key rustic decor and delicious gelato. I cant comment on the food but gelato was top notch
Loved this place. Very creatively designed. Beautiful cafe.
We highly recommend this place. Can't say enough great things about them. We were in heaven. Everything is fresh, well made & sooooo delicious! The owner is awesome. The gelato is delicious. Service is exceptional! Highly highly recommended! Also pet friendly Super clean, nice & classy. Don't overthink it, just go there! For Portuguese speakers, Luan is fluent in Brazilian Portuguese! How cool!!! We would love to come back! Grazie per tutto, Linda & Greg
Yummy and creative gelato alongside amazing coffee. Great service (thanks, Sebastian!) and great assortment of gelato flavors.
Such a good Italian cafe. Excellent ambience and service.
Such a cozy little spot. The service here is attentive and friendly! They make sure you are well taken care of and provide a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Much more than just a coffe shop....the crescentinis were amazing. Little hot puff pastry items that are right out of the oven....so tasty! You really cannot go wrong with this place....tucked in the middle of The Camp makes it such a relief from the often pretentiousness that oozes from the surrounding businesses.
Very cute place with a nice ambiance, a firepit, huge coffees, and the frendliest staff ever! They also have pinsa, which is a fermented dough pizza, healthier than a regular one, and served with a smile! This is a hidden gem in Costa Mesa, great for relaxing.
We’ve been here many times, and it’s truly a super amazing place. The food is always delicious and consistently high quality. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you just want to keep coming back. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and professional. One of our favorite spots!
This place was fresh snd tasty. Their lattes were so good and not needing over sugary suryps to mask any bad flavor. The had a great breakfast and lunch option and their gilato was perfect. The only feedback I have was that their fruit wasnt the freshest, the strawberries seemed a little withered. But over all a great place for a quick bite. Heads up that its a small location.
Amazing service and meal for a day of order for 25 college athletes in town for a tournament. Over ordered for the headcount - got turkey sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, soup and gnocchi and every single thing was eaten end enjoyed. I was in shock to see them hand rolling out and cooking the dough to make the sandwiches - above and beyond in every capacity. 10/10.
They have a charming indoor dining area and a nice outdoor patio area also. The food was good and dessert is a must - Tiramisu and Cannoli were yummy and only $6, not too big just a nice sweet finish. Service is not very friendly even when you try to engage them, they seem to forget about you even though they weren't busy. Had to ask for another glass of wine, the dessert menu, etc.
Place was pretty legit. Seem to make thier own noodles and everything we had was pretty good. The basket of bread is a must! Also save some room for Gelato. It's not the best Gelato, but pretty good. They charged us wrong, but oh well. It was a little tough to get someone to come check on the table, couple times needed to go up to the front just to (ask for more stuff, get the bill, etc). Overall a pretty good place
Great ice cream! Espresso on the bitter side so best to order a variety with milk. Still a nice cozy place.
Vitaly has been round for quite some time now, quietly nestled into the inner sanctums of The Camp retail facility. Currently owners have really brought this place to life with an expansive authentic menu AND at more reasonable pricing that resonates value. Great evening ambience too with smaller areas in which to converse. Open fire pit adds really cosy feel heading into autumn and fall. You'll love it! I had a great local cab sav & the prawn & zucchini pasta.... killer dish!
Fun rustic setting. The Cafe is mixed with great retail shops and other food restaurants. Parking in the back. We have brunch and a large cappuccino. Prices are reasonable. Not cheap but not expensive. We sat outside and enjoyed the mixed natural setting along with great weather.
Great food but service could use some improvement. I arrived and was told I can sit anywhere and a waiter would come out to help me in a bit. I waited about 15 min before the waiter came out with just the menus, which wouldn’t be a problem if it was busy, but there was only two other people there, who were there before me and seemed like they had been waiting a while too. The salad was great! It reminds me of a salad I had in little Italy, San Diego. The pasta was good too, it was a bit hard but had good flavor. 8/10 would return again.
This little place is great! Beautiful outdoor area with a fire pit and heaters, greenery and a cozy feel. Inside is a nice Cafe feel with an open view kitchen ! The menu is pretty big considering the small space. You can have dinner, ice cream, Italian cookies and coffee, tea and other Italian style drinks. I absolutely LOVE the Burrata Mediterranean salad! It is Devine, delicious and huge! Arugula tomatoes, a medium size ball of fresh burrata, covered in prosciutto and drizzled with balsamic glaze.... ih help me! I have also tried a few of the calzone's and those are more like a grilled meat pie to me. Stuffed with lots of meat or veggies depending on the selection, and some cheese blends... also very tasty! I would like some marinara personally but the cheeses are so flavorful, covering that up may not actually be a good idea 🤔 Last time I was there, a very sweet batista came over and said "I can see you yawning, and I have an extra latte here that was made by mistake, would you like it?" He was so sweet so of course I gladly accepted! It was delicious! I would have never ordered a coffee drink there but now that is no longer true! Their fresh and tasty cookies are typically things I buy and take home to have for a few days but those go so well with the latte, I will likely end my next meal there in that manner! Give this hidden little gem a try... great atmosphere, quiet space (usually) and really good food!
The drinks were made well, and the affogato was delicious. I might recommend getting the larger size, 2 shots and 2 scoops, for a lengthy experience. Service was okay. The environment made it especially delightful.
We found the Italian food quite tasteful and service pretty good on our recent visit with our family. We booked a table for 7, and were pleasantly surprised to find three small tables arranged side by side on the outside patio. It made for an interesting yet cozy seating that promoted good conversations. The place doesn’t have large tables nor a large seating area. A cool, intermittent breeze made our lunch even more enjoyable. We found the Spinach Ravioli, Veggie Calzones, Gnocchi, and Vegetarian Antioxidant soup quite tasteful... the flavors were truly authentic. I just found the portions a bit small, bigger than a snack but not quite filling for a complete lunch. They are famous for their gelato and am looking forward to trying that on our next visit.
Delicious food and very nice areas to sit and relax. Only thing was that the staff’s service wasnt as great as I wished. It took a long time to have someone help my friend and I order despite telling them we were ready and eventually I had to get up and approach the waitress myself to which she admitted she forgot.. Despite that, the owner is very nice and the food is great! I just think some of the staff should have better training.
Perhaps it's just emblematic of the new COVID era that we live in but it does seem like you can't really get good service anywhere anymore. Ate there on Sunday for brunch with a friend. Neither of us had ever been there. I had reservations on open table not knowing how busy it would be but there was not really anyone to check us in or greet us or anyone paying attention to us at all so we asked the guy at the coffee station. He seemed uncertain as to what we should do. Finally one of the waiters came up and said sit anywhere you like. Ok that works. Took our drink order and then we had to flag him back down later to take our food order. It was not that busy but clearly place is understaffed. When we were done with our meal we once again had to hunt down staff to pay. We both ordered the Avogreen Toast. It wasn't really toast. It was lightly toasted. The pesto made the bread soggy. The potatoes were soft (I like a little crispier potatoes especially when bread is also soft) The dish was pretty but the flavours were bland. Pesto was heavy on lemon and less on parmesan and garlic. Still overwhelmed the 2 thin slices of Avo. Tomatoes were flavourless. Best thing about my dish was eggs cooked PERFECTLY. I would be willing to give the place another try (but wouldn't order the Avogreen again though). Overall not terrible but super underwhelming.
We have eaten here several times whenever we are in town. The whole experience has always been great. We were there this past weekend and were somewhat disappointed. Service was slow and disjointed. We ordered salad, bread and ravioli and waited for a very long time and wondered where was our salad and bread. A server finally arrived with the salad, bread and 2 plates of ravioli and just kinda dumped it on the tiny table and left. We had to put the salad on a bench seat and toss it and plate it. The ravioli had good flavor but they were cold by the time we got to them and looked like they had waited on the plate for a while before they brought them out. A different server walked by and asked if we were doing okay and you could tell by the way she looked at the table she knew there was a problem in the way we were served. Anyway, we will most likely return next time we’re in town. Just thought you’d want to know.
I’m not sure what has happened, but our visits to this restaurant have drastically declined in the past two visits. The food looks the same, but it lacks flavor. Perhaps a new chef or a change in the quality of ingredients is to blame. I’m really disappointed this was a spot we visited frequently.
Came here as the pics looked great and decided to give it a try. We ordered the mushroom pizza and a lasagna. I love a good traditional Neapolitan style pizza. And when this came out, it was NOT that. It was a rounded rectangle. Crust was not crispy at all and very doughy. Pizza also tasted very bland. Just overall one of the worst pizzas I have had. Total let down!! Considering the pizza place next door hits home runs!! The lasagna was so underwhelming as well. Presentation is not good whatsoever. You can tell the chefs there could care less. And the lasagna was nothing like it was pictured. It’s was small and just seemed like it was frozen and reheated and lost its shape. Flavor was ok at best but not fresh in any way and simply felt like this was a warmed up tv dinner. We most certainly will not be coming back. We had high hopes but were sadly let down.
After a long flight from. Indiana - we were famished. Pretzels 🥨 do not meet true nutritional needs. We had great expectations with poor results in our first and probably last dining experience at Vitaly’s. The other online reviews had made us believe we were getting a five star ⭐️ meal. Sadly we did not agree with the other reviewers. Their chicken soup is what brought us in - but it was a mushy purée instead of a warm delicious creation. The Squash soup was also runny and left us wondering what happened! No garnishments, seasonings or attempts to make a positive impression. The only bright part of our meal was the Grizzly Salad 🥗 complete with smoked salmon, greens, tomatoes 🍅 and sliced avocados 🥑 Unfortunately, there was no dressings offered (other than the bottles of oil & vinegar on the table). Apparently they do have some delicious pasta / and also known for their gelato. But we didn’t choose any of these selections. The staff was initially inattentive and non-responsive. We did get them to take our order after sitting for about 10 minutes. Not sure if we should have known that. I would recommend they focus on improving their quality of preparation and presentation. Until then - I would suggest trying other dining establishments.
I'm going to start by saying I'm Italian and I have been trying to find decent Italian place to eat and feel a little bit at home (I understand that it's not going to be like home but close enough is all I'm asking). The complete experience was quite disappointing. The moment me and my husband sat down the vibe was off with the staff.( Almost looked like they didn't know what to do) But it's fine as long as the food is good I don't mind ( Italian service can be rough). Order: -lasagna (the taste was pretty good, definitely Italian taste) the problem was it was barly warm and my husbands was warm and very hot in the inside (taste like it was microwaved). $25 each -caprese: regular mozzarella and tomato, only problem on the menu it said bufala (which can be more expensive and completely different taste of regular mozzarella). Was not bufala. $20 The part that really through me over the edge. The wine! We order a Cabernet Sauvignon and a prosecco from Valdobbiadene! 15$ glass! Insane! My mistake was I didn't ask what wine it was, I assumed it would be good since it's a Italian restaurant and was expensive for each glass. Big mistake. Both wine were clearly cheap, and for the prosecco! Ruffino Is not a Valdobbiadene DOC prosecco! And 15$ a glass is a joke! Overall I would be fine to pay maybe 50$ for the dinner! I don't think the quality match the price! I'm just honestly disappointed! That was not an 100$ meal and just misleading. I hope you guys find the love for food again and give Italian food and wine the justice it deserves. I'm going to say this was my personal experience. Pretty sure a lot of people enjoy this restaurant, as a fellow Italian I wish you guys all the best. But was a no for me.
Ordered a rather expensive Butter Parmesan Alfredo Pasta with extra chicken from this place. Received a plain pasta, with zero flavor/sauce/seasoning and a extremely tiny portion of chicken. Mind you, this costed 30 dollars (after delivery charges). I have never in my life received any delivery this insanely bad. You can look at the picture below to see exactly what they sent over.
If you're not blonde, if your skin color isn't white, and your hair isn't golden like gold, don't waste your time going into this place. They will literally ignore you and won't serve you. I stood there for about 15 minutes; several customers came in, who were clearly blonde, and they were served, while I, who am obviously Latino and look Latino, was completely ignored. I moved from one side to the other, I literally looked both of the girls in the face, and as more blonde customers arrived, they spoke to them and served them. In two years, I've never felt so discriminated against as I did today. It feels horrible, it feels disgusting. I've truly never been in a situation like this before, but I literally saw the girls' faces, and they clearly didn't want to serve me, and I saw how their expressions changed when they saw a blonde person. At first, I thought it was just me, but as they served more blonde people, and I was literally standing right in front of them watching, I realized everything. I think next time I'll come back with a hidden camera somewhere and record this. I want everyone on TikTok to see it and know if I'm the one who's crazy, but I definitely felt today what it's like to be discriminated against because of your skin color and your hair.
