Excelente servicio, comida a buen precio y sabor insuperable

El moro es uno de mis restaurantes favoritos. Las deliciosas enchiladas de mole son incomparables. Por ser un restaurante familiar, el servicio es muy acogedor y amable. Recomendadado al 100.

¡MUY MUY BUENO! UN GRAN DESCUBRIMIENTO. Los camareros son super simpaticos y los platos estan increiblemente buenos. Recomiendo Filete Tampiqueña y Filete de pollo Lázaro (pedir tortiras de maiz). ¡Lo recomiendo mucho!

Un lugar escondido en Cozumel pero con muy buen sabor, al menos cuando fui no había gente, se ve que es un lugar antiguo pero muy conservado, baños limpios, variedad de comida, precios accesibles, comida muy rica bien servida, atenciones del personal excelente, estuve de visita en Cozumel por trabajo y este lugar lo recomiendo bastante por todo lo anterior mencionado, además que aqui tu puedes facturar tu consumo y la factura llega de manera inmediata! Pruebe la especial! Fuimos cuando la especial era salpicon de venado. Ordenamos eso, unos platanos fritos y un flan. La salsa que venia con el venado estaba bien chingona. Todo muy rico, la verdad. Ask what the special is and order that! I'm from LA and my spouse is from Chicago but we live near Seattle. Mexican food is almost non existent there. This place is legit. The salsa was so good! And the prices are fair.

We have always loved the experience of El Moro and are very glad we returned on this trip. Ray and Bernardo were very kind, food was delicious, and we enjoyed our entire experience. We talked this morning how we need to return before heading home. We like supporting locally owned family restaurants further back on the island and El Moro fits the bill for this.

the location might not be central but the flavour is definitely there! we had guacamole, chicken with mole and chicken yucatan style and everything was delicious. they also served us chips & pico de gallo on the house. highly recommended.

This is a must visit restaurant in Cozumel. El Moro is family run and every meal is prepared with great care and delivered with exceptional service. My husband and I went here multiple times during our stay on the island. The menu has great variety and the food is super fresh. The garlic soup with an egg was a highlight!

El Moro is a true Cozumel treasure. Our server Ray was attentive, funny, and super efficient—maybe because his parents own the place and were keeping an eye on him! 😄 But seriously, this is a warm, family-run restaurant where everyone pitches in, and it shows. My wife had the Chicken Tuculeño (pictured), and I had the Chicken Madrileña—both were absolutely delicious, authentic, and served in HUGE portions. This after starting with the garlic soup which was amazing. We were running late and decided to skip the start of the Seahawks game at home but the staff found it for us on their TV and even cheered along with us. Can’t recommend this place enough—great food, great people, and great atmosphere. Don’t miss it!

Best prices and food on the island but off the main road. They have been here over 60 years but won’t be much longer without your support. The co-owner Ray is without a doubt the hardest working person on the island. The Mayan coffee is a 30 minute experience and incredibly good

El Moro is a local restaurant that is away from the tourist district. The restaurant has great food and service. The menu has a wide assortment of island favorites. We enjoyed grilled shrimp kabobs and a chicken plate. Bring pesos to pay for your dining experience.

This place is great! I highly recommend either of the lobster dinners. The one photographed is Langosta Moro, but the best is Langosta al Gratin. It is lobster in a cheese and cream sauce, it's amazing! And huge! A great appetizer is the bacon wrapped shrimp, but it's not on the menu. The staff are amazing, super friendly, family owned and will do anything to make your meal great.

Absolute best place we went to eat on the island. Wish we had checked this place out earlier in the trip and we would've made multiple trips. Nice walk away from the tourist area close to the water. Seemed like locals and tourists come to this place a lot. The food was incredible especially considering the price. It will be a must visit spot on any return trip.

El Moro is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at on vacation, it’s so good, I’ve been back three times in two different trips to Cozumel. Two of the three times we came we just ordered the special, the first time it was the “fish in a packet” it was amazing, the second time they had some pulled pork with corn tortillas, pickled red onion and fresh lime and vinegar jalapeños. It was so amazing! We also got the cheese over beef soup, with rice. It was so good, incredible even! You can tell the staff and owners are foodies who love what they do! Come here every time you are in Cozumel, you won’t be disappointed.

Keep coming back to enjoy El Moro every trip to Cozumel. It's a good feeling walking into a restaurant that's filled with customers. We ordered Fresh Pineapple Juice, along with Chicken Burritos(my husband's plate, there could have been 1 more burrito, he was still a bit hungry but satisfied) and Shrimp Fajitas(I recommend corn tortillas over flour).

This place feels like a second home due to the amazing family that works there. It was my first time trying mole and they let me have a sample to see if I wanted it on my dish! It was a wonderful experience to be able to talk to Ray and learn about the different flavors in each of the dishes. They have a wide array of options and although I have only tried the chicken mole, I have only heard good things about everything else they have to offer. Definitely give this place a go when in Cozumel. You'll be supporting a family and a family who gives back to the community and creates a wonderful environment!

BEST authentic Mexican food I've ever had! Amazing service & great pricing!!! This is a quaint hole-in-the-wall restaurant with tons of charm. Very personable & friendly staff that goes out of their way to make sure your visit is top-notch! We came here for a pre-wedding dinner with 20 people and we didn't have to wait long for our food. They were on top of our drink orders and prompt (and accurate) with our tabs. The hug from Ray at the end of our visit was unexpected and welcomed! He treats all his guests as if they were family. Whenever we're back on the island, we'll be sure to come back here again!!!

La comida estaba muy salada y no tenia buen sazón, la atención fue pésima ya que se centraba en atender a extranjeros y descuidaban las otras mesas. Deja mucho que desear.

El dueño se cree dueño de la calle y los vecinos cuando estacionamos en nuestras casas tenemos que esperar a que se vayan sus comensales porque ellos si pueden irrumpir en nuestro espacio pero si nosotros nos estacionamos en la calle que corre el restaurante el dueño se enoja siendo que es vía pública.
