Elevated tacos and tostadas done right! Tortillas are the perfect texture, proteins are flavorful, and garnishes/salsas compliment the food well. Not street tacos, but tacos worth eating, even at $6-$6.50 a taco (tacos are decently sized). On the Michelin guide for a reason
This is one unique Mexican restaurant you need to try. Great tacos but not your regular tacos it’s gourmet tacos. They do have that Omakase gourmet taco, but instead of Japanese course meal, it’s a taco experience meal. You should try it you won’t be disappointed. I also tried their tortas, ham and cheese, very tasty and crunchy it’s very filling. Bottom line I love this place, and I am sure you’ll love it too.
Stopped by here on work trip from Texas and man.... if this isn't one of the finest taco shops I have ever eaten at. The flavorful, garlic soaked pork taco has made a life long fan. Don't sleep on this place, it's worth drive!
Had an incredibly memorable private taco omakase experience at Bee Taqueria 😍 the chef is passionate, friendly, and cooks some damn good food. Really affordable omakase and you will leave absolutely STUFFED! Food is creative, elevated, and pays beautiful homage to Mexico as well as the diverse influences of LA. There is a cool private space where the omakase is hosted - perfect for having a small party for about 8-12 people!
[BRIGHT PRESENTATION + UNIQUE + FRESH] A relatively new star in the neighborhood Bee Taqueria has caught my eye. I've been here three times, but I've recommended the place more than twenty times. The presentation is exceptional. The food is bright and flavorful. Everything on the menu has been designed and created with care. No matter what you pick you can't lose. That being said, the menu is simple, which feels authentic and appropriate to balance out the massive amount of flavor. This is an outdoor establishment, which is semi private off the road. There are umbrellas and picnic tables. There is NO alcohol, but they have fresh juice, punch, bottled mineral water, Fanta, and Mexican Coke. My only wish is that they didn't charge for cups of water, or they had a water dispenser, or pichers of water for customers, AND I wish they had better napkin options. Especially, since the deliciously drippy tacos are to be eaten by hand. I do plan to come again, but with hand wipes or my own napkins. Enjoy!
Solid tacos. Loved the chicken one and the veggie one. Churros are good too. The ambiance is great. It’s a cute outdoor courtyard with trees and picnic tables. Everything was perfect, but I only gave four stars for service because I would have liked for there to be a station with napkins and water because it was a bit annoying to have to go bother the worker who was taking orders when we wanted refills on our waters.
Man this place is bomb. I got the jamon torta with oaxaca cheese, onion, avocado 🥑 and it was delicious! The food is traditional. I have to try the tacos next time. They have a cute outdoor seating with wood benches, lights and a nice Mexican theme decor. The staff is nice. I'll definitely return.
What a great way to start my long weekend in LA! Made a beeline (sorry) to Bee Taqueria straight upon landing at LAX. Chef Alex has a gem of a taco place, total chill DIY vibe, tacos were excellent, my favs were the pork and shrimp. Guacamole is 100%! Check out the bee hive in the flag pole. Chef also does a by reservation omakase-style course dinner in a charming private dining area—next time!
One of the more special experiences I’ve had eating in a while. A small outdoor shack on the edge of W Adams Blvd not too far from Culver City serves some of the best gourmet tacos I’ve ever had, including Guerilla Tacos and Taco Maria (which is albeit more of a elevated Mexican tasting menu with entrees). The chef, Alex, with plenty of fine dining experience, does a $60 taco omakase you can book on Resy with only a few seats a night for dinner. Expect 4-6 courses with excellent, innovative tacos with handmade tortillas and fresh ingredients and a “Mexican dessert cheese platter to finish”. Tacos for the night included: braised pork belly with bean purée and blue corn tortilla, huitlacoche (known as Mexican truffles) Oaxacan cheese with red salsa on a squid ink heirloom corn tortilla, marinated chicken on top a mole (made from bougenbeilla flowers?) spinach with a red heirloom tortilla made with beets, and the last one with hangar steak and fresh bone marrow scooped on top grasshoppers guacamole ancho Chile salsa and onions. For now, the omakase menu is set to change every month. Otherwise, there is a separate à la carte menu if you do walk-ins. Either way, don’t forget to order the chicharronnes chips and a sanguches/torta sandwich for splitting with friends. Also can’t forget Alex’s warm hospitality and his refined presentation for all the dishes and their backgrounds/backstories. Will try to come back every month in return.
Delicious tacos! My favorite was the Tinga de Betabel (vegan chicken tinga, made of beets). Although it was a bit spicier than what I normally eat, it was fantastic. The cochinita was great too and I'm excited about going back for the omakase and lamb taco. Picturesque backyard with beautiful painted shipping containers to add some rustic charm. A few free parking spots at the restaurant too which was a bonus.
Best f’ing tacos in LA. I’m honestly not a taco person and I love their food. The pork is unreal and the media Luna and mushroom are delicious. My only complaint is they are closed on Sundays!! We always want it on Sunday and the neighbors all wish it was open. Also almost everything is GLUTEN FREE!!
First time trying this spot and the meal was delicious. I ordered the slow braised pork (cochinito) tacos and a side of beans. The pickled onions used in the tacos work perfectly with the pork and there's not much to say other than they were amazing. It does take a while for the food to come out, but as mentioned, the meal is worth the wait if you have the time. Super cool, uber casual spot.
Great food, and the most amazing music. Place is good. No beer but you can bring your own if you wish. Very nice place to sit outside and eat some tacos.
We had the beet, mushroom, skirt steak, chicken, & shrimp+scallop tacos. They were all amazing, well-balanced flavors. My favorite was the beet. It had an unexpected depth of flavors. They were out of a few things, I guess I'll have to come back 🥳
Best bang for the buck in the foodie world. Exquisite cuisine and technique. With charming taco shack vibe and pricing. BYOB. Delicious. On-site parking.
Bit pricey, but the quality is worth it. Sea bass tostada was excellent, spicy sauce and good balance of flavors with the crispy tostada was very enjoyable. Also surprisingly not too crowded, and plenty of seating with an outdoor patio. The churros are amazing as well, and have a lot of flavor options

I've had many tacos in my life, I've traveled to many cities and towns in Mexico. I even took a trip once to CDMX just to try several taquerias. Bee taqueria is not restricted by sticking to "traditional" tacos and is trying to do it's own thing. I can definitely appreciate them trying to be creative with tacos. Because technically anything can be a taco and with that in mind their best taco is the tinga betabel. It was the most unique and interesting of the bunch. Sadly their cordero BBQ was sold out and could not try it. Their media noche was also very good. I liked that they gave you a caldo to dip it in. That "made" the taco. The asada taco was ok. The meat had interesting flavors, but felt a little dry. My least favorite taco was the cochinito. It was a little too fatty and could use something to lighten up the fat. I ended up drenching it with lime. But that only helped a little. Their Jamaica agua del día was very good, it feels like they actually use the plant and it's not from a powder, we really appreciated that. It's also not super sweet which sometimes can ruin it as well. If you visit, don't skip desert. Their churro was amazing. Overall, I'll probably visit again to try their cordero and one of the other non taco menu items. This place is good. I'd recommend you giving them a try.
Been here twice now and like their tacos - flavors are good, tortillas are excellent, vibe is great but the food itself is not knock your socks off. The tacos are good but not memorable. They have a fire pit and sometimes have live music. Please note that all of their seating is essentially outdoors with portions covered by a roof. Come for thvibe, byob, and don’t worry about the tacos.

Steak could’ve been more tender with more fat. Great hibiscus punch. Not too sweet. Beans were warm and soft. Useful to neutralize the palate after the taco. At $7 it’s expensive. Especially coming from Austin. We have better tacos at like half the price —— @eddythefoodcritic
Food was okay. When we went they didn't have all the churros only plain. The tacos had nice plating but they didn't taste that great. I think tic tok hyped it too much
