I’ve been going to Pasta Sisters for about 7 years, and it’s hands-down my favorite restaurant in Los Angeles. I frequent here and every single time, the food is perfect, Al dente! The pasta is made fresh daily and it’s phenomenal, consistently spectacular. The prices are incredibly fair for the craftsmanship and care in every dish. Careful not to fill up on the focaccia, we always do because it’s just THAT good! They also have the best burrata! It’s warm, welcoming, and homey—like stepping into a family’s kitchen. We always feel comfortable here, I even bring my dog sometimes (it’s pet-friendly with tons of outdoor seating) The same faces have been here for years, and I’ve had countless genuine conversations with the staff. We all share a common love for pasta! You can tell this resturant is good to its employees, which is extremely important to us. Pasta Sisters is more than a restaurant—it’s a family, and a bowl of Italy in Los Angeles.

Myron Caracut

This restaurant occupies a space at the elevated Helms district and has modern decor with most of its seating outside. An odd, yet somewhat casual service setup where you order at the counter, take an open table, and then get served some bread/oil once self-seated. Pasta is overall good - tagliatelle has a nice pasta texture but their black truffle sauce isn’t as rich in flavor when compared to the same pasta dish from Uovo. However, the Seafood Spaghetti was simply delectable and hit the spot. Their Nutella pie was fairly good too and not overly sweet. Overall we enjoyed the experience and would very much like to come back and try their other pasta and dessert offerings!

Definitely atop of my recommendation when you want good and not overprice pasta and wine. Authentic pasta and sauces to accommodate foodies and Italian alike. Price wise, it’s reasonable and of high quality. Choose your type of pasta, the sauce, order and pay, then they will bring them to your table where you can enjoy them. Side note, their wine list is amazing and extremely affordable.

Visited Pasta Sisters with fairly high expectations. We tried the pesto gnocchi and spinach & cheese ravioli. The ravioli was very fresh and soft, which was a highlight, and the complimentary bread served at the beginning was quite good as well. That said, when it came to overall flavor, the dishes were more on the okay side. Everything was well prepared, but the flavors didn’t stand out as much as I had hoped. I’ve personally had better pasta elsewhere. Overall, it’s a decent spot for fresh pasta, especially if you value texture and quality ingredients. With a bit more depth in flavors, it could easily be even better.

I am by no means a pasta expert but I think Pasta Sisters has nailed the casual pasta experience. The tagliatelle was the perfect texture and the salmon wasn’t too salty. Garden salad had a bit too much acidity that the salmon cream could’ve borrowed but it was a good contrast. The leftovers carry well! This could be a really fun girls’ night out or date night spot without breaking the bank.

I ordered the build-your-own pasta and chose spaghetti with pesto sauce and salmon. Unfortunately, the spaghetti was very undercooked, but I did really enjoy the salmon. The service and atmosphere were both very nice and welcoming. Theres metered street parking.

I heard so many good things about this place. Some people say it’s their kids favorite restaurant and now I can see why. It’s sort of fast casual. You order and pay and then seat yourself at a table with a number. Good for families because they have good pasta options and a good amount of seating. People walking there are friendly and helpful. However I got takeout and it was lacking. First I ordered and there was a 30 min wait time. I arrived at the thirty minute mark and I still had to wait an additional 10 minutes for the order. 40 minutes when I ordered ahead for takeout that wasn’t even needing to be made was annoying. The pasta to go was great but the pesto and bolognese pre-packaged sauces were really forgettable. I will be back for the fresh pasta only if I am in the area. That they do well. I will maybe try it agin and dine in and see if it is any better.

I came here with a friend for a casual meal and ordered the Bolognese and the Tortellini. The Bolognese was simple and easy to eat. Nothing special, but solid enough. The Tortellini filling had good flavor, and the sauce wasn’t too heavy. I liked that the menu included vegan options. I also liked that they offer drink discounts during happy hour.

Pasta and focaccia bread is so good here. Vibe is decent. However it’s not a proper day time place with the peak heat as they do not have AC. Good spot for evenings though. Order and sit. There is paid parking available around on street.

Overall, the experience was great! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. However the food was okay, I felt like it lacked flavor. We ordered the pesto pasta with a side of grilled chicken, mushroom pasta, and chicken avocado sandwich.

The Baseline

The Baseline: For an Italian sit down restaurant the food must use of prime Italian ingredients (garlic, tomatoes, cheese, basil), preparation of sauces and al dente pasta, the meal portion size must leave me feeling full, and the service needs me feeling like I am part of the family. Food: The pasta at Pasta Sisters is very good and fresh. The Bolognese and the Pesto was very delicious as it was served with Tagliatelle and the Spaghetti. The lasagna was meaty and the sauce was excellent mixed with the cheeses. There is also some extra pasta selections that you can choose from and I had the Pappardelle with tomato/basil with mozzarella was a nice new option. The sit down part of the service served focaccia with olive oil/balsamic vinegar as a starter. Love the food. Service: This is an order at the counter and get served at your seat via the number given to you. All the staff provided great service. Ambiance: This location is a nice location at Helms Bakery shopping area. There is nice lighting at night with warm string lights in the outdoor patio. The inside area was also very comfortable. Clean bathrooms in the establishment.

We tried this pasta spot and overall had a really good experience. They have a nice variety of dishes to choose from, which I appreciated. I ordered the mushroom cream sauce pasta—it was tasty and satisfying, though not spectacular, but definitely worth it for the price. The real standout for me was the bread—so fresh and flavorful, with just the right touch of salt. My husband had the tomato meat sauce pasta and absolutely loved it—the meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Definitely a place we’d come back to when we’re craving pasta without breaking the bank.

If you like pasta, I recommend it. It seems like a nice place to visit casually with friends or family and have a nice meal. You can order prepared food, but you can also choose the noodles and sauce to your taste. After ordering and sitting where you want, they bring you simple bread and balsamic oil. Water is self-service. It doesn't have the taste and atmosphere of a specialty pasta restaurant, but I personally liked it.

I visited Pasta Sisters in Culver City with a friend because I was craving pasta and needed something plant-based friendly. The place looked promising at first, but the experience didn’t really live up to the hype. First off, the setup was odd. It feels like a sit-down restaurant, yet you have to get up and order your food at the counter and then sit back down. Meanwhile, the one bus person seemed to be doing most of the work in the dining area. The biggest disappointment was the food itself. I ordered gnocchi with their basic tomato sauce since most of the other sauces had dairy. They wouldn’t let me taste any sauces before ordering and wouldn’t allow mixing sauces either, which is strange for a place that promotes customizable pasta. The sauce ended up being very bland, and the gnocchi was extremely soft—almost melting in your mouth. Overall the flavors do not stand out at all here Bland sauces not terrible but they can do so much better for their establishment set up and how they're trying to curate A vibe there. They also don’t really offer the best sides besides salad mash potatoes salmon avicado....The focaccia bread it's free and that is what they have instead of breadsticks we got was cold, airy, and didn’t complement the meal at all. Something simple like warm breadsticks would make a huge difference. What really made this frustrating was we paid $114 for 2 ppl. I don’t mind paying for good food, but this just didn’t feel worth it. Overall, the food was average, the customization was limited, and the prices were high for what you get. Sadly, this won’t be a place we return to.
